Incredible weekend! Host went above and beyond to make us feel welcome.. ginger cookies, loaf of rustic bread, highchair for our 1yr old and even put out puzzles for our 4yr old! Layout was awesome with primary separated from other 2 bedrooms. Enjoyed waking up to the sun rising and beautiful river views. Beds were very comfortable and house was stocked with everything you need. The private beach and playground was perfect for the kiddos and we had a blast playing all day! Would give 10 stars if we could and can’t wait to come back!

Staying with Barbara and Bernard was like coming home to the warmest, smartest aunt and uncle you could possibly dream up. The lush, bird-filled, wooded setting is serene, idyllic - dreamy, even. The house itself is a museum piece where every nook and cranny holds objects that each have their own story to tell. Best of all is the company - human and canine. Barbara & Bernard’s creativity and sense of humor is matched by a kindness I feel grateful to have experienced firsthand. Without question, they’ll be my first choice should I find myself in the area again.

This was our third stay at this wonderful property, and it just keeps getting better and better! Our family had an amazing time once again and made so many new memories together. We especially love spending time fishing on the dock and kayaking—it’s the perfect way to relax and reconnect with nature. The home is always clean, comfortable, and well-stocked, making it easy to settle in and enjoy. We’re so grateful to have found this special place and can’t wait to come back again! We enjoyed our second visit to this property and look forward to more visits. The view is exceptional as the house is on a bluff overlooking a wide river view. We sighted bald eagles, osprey, hummingbirds, cardinals and so many other birds while drinking coffee and enjoying slow mornings on the covered patio. We used the kayaks and canoe for trips to Sharktooth Island where we found many shark teeth, stingray teeth and beach glass. We enjoyed time around the outside fire pit making hot dogs, mountain pies and smores. The gas grill was useful to make cheeseburgers for dinner. The property is very secluded and private and is well suited for a family retreat. The house is equipped with everything you need for cooking meals, playing games, reading books or watching movies. Additionally, the owner supplies linens (sheets, blankets, towels), paper products (toilet paper, napkins, paper towels), cleaning supplies and shower products. We definitely recommend this property!

What a great place to stay and relax. Sitting with your feet in the sand , kayaking , crabbing and fishing . We will definitely boom again .

We stayed at the Farm on Friendship for my son’s wedding nearby. It was perfect for my family to be together and relax the day after. Loved having the pool and all of the outside amenities. The house is quite big with several pianos, 2-3 living/ sitting rooms and a great kitchen (loved the leathered granite countertops). Plenty of parking, quite set back off the road. The free range chickens (for a bit morning and night) were absolutely beautiful. Groceries, gas and restaurants are within 2-5 miles. Glens farm was the perfect place for our 3 days on Kent Island!

Overall, I enjoyed the place. The barn was minimalistic and nice for photos. The best part was the waterfront view. The house was very clean and pretty kid friendly (a few high chairs included). The kitchen had the bare minimum to cook and grill with but I wouldn’t say it was fully stocked. I would say in general that we enjoyed our stay. The kayaks were wonderful.

We were looking for a peaceful getaway and this was exactly what we found. Great location, enjoyed fishing , relaxing, and wildlife . Great recommendation , if you’re looking for a quiet remote getaway.

My stay at the farm in Brandywine was absolutely amazing! The property had everything I needed, making it feel like a true home away from home. There was a large outdoor chess set, which was a great addition for extra entertainment. The peaceful lake nearby added to the relaxing experience, and it was so nice to see the goats and chickens on the farm — though they were kept in a secure area, it was still a delight to watch them. A special touch was being able to use freshly laid eggs for breakfast, which made our mornings even better! The owners were incredibly sweet and accommodating, making sure we had all the amenities we needed. Their communication was quick and helpful, addressing all of our questions, including those about our arrival. The space was spotless and smelled wonderful, and we had a restful night with no complaints. I also appreciated the extra security provided by the gate, which gave us peace of mind. Even the neighbors were welcoming and friendly.

The property itself was absolutely beautiful, with a rustic charm that made it feel cozy and welcoming. The house was clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We truly enjoyed our time here and would absolutely stay again. Highly recommend!

The house is beautiful and worked well for our family. The host was very helpful and responded quickly to any questions we had. The grounds are lovely and very peaceful. Pictures don’t do this property justice.

From the time I made the reservation a few months prior, Joshua was always available and provided very useful information! He was knowledgeable, professional, and kind. He maintained contact during our stay in a very responsive way, but not intrusive. We highly recommend the farm and beautiful home and Joshua as the host!! We had a fantastic time over the weekend. Baby proof house was a plus! Everything was clean on the inside, we just wish the outside was a bit cleaner. Kayaks were great, but some didn’t have backs. Overall great pick! We would come back .

We loved Ryan's cottage! The house has a super great feel and overlooks the lake with the most beautiful views, we extra loved that!! We definitely felt like we found a gem, you check in and there is nothing to worry about, it is super clean, the couch and bed looked small in the photos but were extremely comfortable and every room is equipped with everything you need to feel at home-extra linens, plenty of towels, wash clothes, cleaning supplies, toiletries and coffee!! The location itself was perfect for our travel needs and it is closer to Target, Food Lion, Acme, Safeway, Walgreens, liquor/wine stores. And the other great part, Ryan is extremely communicative so you know he's there and he has an adorable fur family. We would have squeezed in another day or two just to enjoy this relaxing space and highly recommend it for anyone looking for a nice place to stay. Thank you, Ryan!

A Great Weekend Getaway! The Lake House is a fantastic place to stay! We had three families together for a long weekend, and it was perfect for both relaxing and having fun. The teenagers especially loved kayaking and canoeing — the highlight for them. We all enjoyed gathering around the fire pit in the evenings, and the outdoor lights added a warm, cozy touch. We tried our hand at crabbing—we didn’t catch much (probably due to our lack of skills!), but it was still a fun experience. A couple of tips for future guests: * If you plan to use the oven, bring your own baking sheets as none are available. * The fridge water dispenser is very slow, so you might want to bring some bottled water or gallon jugs. Aside from those small things, everything was great. We had a fantastic time and are already looking forward to booking another stay!

Our stay was perfect, the property is beautiful. The house was a great fit for our family of 5 adults, including my father who was joining us. The 3 full bathrooms make the stay very stress free. Larry and Kimberly the house were extremely good at communicating. Great stat would recommend.

We had such a nice stay here. The rental is a lovely, open floor plan second floor space with a cozy yet spacious feel. It is quiet and secluded, which was perfect for our needs. Mercy and Ethan were kind and very responsive. A great spot if your goal is to unwind and connect with nature. We are looking forward to visiting again!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay here! It's a unique spot both inside and outside that exactly matched the pictures. We were welcomed by Robert who was super friendly from the start and end to our stay. He gave us recommendations on what to do in colonial beach and places to eat. He was also generous to bring us homemade sourdough and butter, fresh eggs and figs. His wife is an amazing baker fyi! We devoured the sourdough pretty instant. He also sent us home with seasoned shrimp and a bag of baby clothes as I'm expecting soon. Their 10 month old is the absolute cutest. Robert felt like a friend we knew for awhile and Caitlin was sweet enough to supply us the yummy goodies. We recommend this place to others!

Cute and cozy! I felt right at home. Jordan and Danny are very nice folks, the apartment is very well appointed. There is a dock on the property that I should have spent more time on. The bed was a dream to sleep in and I literally overslept my alarm the first day. You will definitely need a car to get around but the apartment is a 3min drive to Safeway, Walgreens, Starbucks, etc. The neighborhood has a homey feel and the apartment has a homey feel which was my jam. My dog had a little accident but I got some carpet cleaner and let Jordan know and she was very understanding. I would definitely stay here again if I am visiting Kent Island.

If you are looking for a peaceful escape, you found it. Although this home can be used for large gatherings, it is also the perfect getaway for 2. My husband and I loved watching the water and the natural wildlife. DO NOT MISS THE OPPORTUNITY TO EXPERIENCE THIS HOUSE!
