The perfect getaway. Stunning, peaceful property. Being welcomed by the sounds of the Guinea fowls and the rushing river made me so happy and calm. The accommodation itself was perfectly clean, homely, comfortable with absolutely everything we needed. The little touches like the lux bedding, the fresh milk and the torch by the door were great extras. And I really appreciated the close parking and the table and chairs sat by the river. Can't wait to return. Highly reccomend the host Madonna at The Granary. Thank you for a lovely stay ❤️

We loved our stay at The Annex. Our host Julie met us on arrival and was very friendly. The property was beautifully laid out, had everything you’d need. Extra touches such as milk, bread and home made flapjacks (delicious 😊) were very much appreciated. Would love to return!

Lovely place to stay! We were just passing through for a night, but we really wished we had time to stop and explore, the outdoor spaces looked amazing and a great place to spend a weekend.

Helen and her family were friendly and welcoming. This is a lovely, homely, peaceful place to stay. The cottage is extremely well equipped and spacious. This was my second visit here, hopefully not my last!

We had a fabulous stay in this beautiful flat, full of beautiful original features. It's so spacious and our kids loved staying in the castle! We had everything we needed and Caroline was great at keeping in touch. Many thanks Caroline!

Molly and Dean's s place was just perfect for my daughter and I - a beautiful, comfortable "home from home" place! We had everything we needed and the place was filled with lovely thoughtful items that we both really appreciated. The kitchen had all the necessities and the addition of tea/coffee/milk/bread/butter/jam/hot chocolate felt like a very lovely gesture. The location was just what I hoped for and we had a great time! We will definitely be back to the Hill View! Thank you very much, Molly and Dean!

It was a great place to stay. We were visiting friends and family in the area and especially loved visiting Booths nearby. Next time we visit we'll just do our food shop there! 😂 For me it was very handy having a riser recliner chair and wet room. Both of the hosts were very friendly and easy to get on with. That added to spotless facilities made a great time to be had! Thanks to both. 😍

Ellie’s place was the perfect place to stay - peaceful, spacious, clean and comfortable. We loved getting to meet the alpacas out the back too! Would highly recommend!

This was by far the best value for money Airb&b we’ve stayed in. Beautiful decoration, good quality furniture and appliances, super comfortable bed and a huge walk in shower. Some helpful recommendations from out host and a walkable distance from town for most people but we tended to go further a field. All in all a lovely last stay to our holiday. Thank you

Host was absolutely lovely to talk to, came here with my girlfriend for her 21st birthday. The views were definitely the best I’ve had from my visits. Beautiful wildlife especially with the spring weather. This family has worked really hard to create a nice family environment and it shows. Inside the stay was a book showing their journey and they’re still working hard. Despite being attached to the home our room and bar felt very private and we felt very comfortable. We’re not big drinkers but the honesty bar is fairly priced and a welcome addition to the stay. Thank you both and congratulations on the hard work.

Small but perfectly formed! Everything we needed, including a very comfortable bed, an excellent shower, a great little kitchen, and a beautiful patio area to sit in and enjoy the views.

The place was lovely and cosy for the evening. The best part was actually the garden with the egg chair, the zen garden and the water feature. It was so relaxing I could have sat there all night. Would definitely stay again.

Superb location and a lovely room. My only concern was that I did feel exposed with the large glass doors, but Hayley explained that they were coated and although I could see out, they couldn't see in. It was a great place to stay and very good value.

Really peaceful stay. The place is incredibly clean and has everything you need. Emma is also a lovely and responsive host. Would recommend to anyone wanting to explore the nearby areas including the Lake District.

Pamela was the most amazing host meeting us at the gate as we arrived. Beautiful surrounds, spotless accommodation with absolutely everything you could need. Keith and Pamela gave us great advice on what to do and see and even dropped us at the local pub for dinner. Amazing hosts. Such a beautiful place to stay away from the hustle and bustle. We had a lovely relaxing stay at Crystal and Andy’s place, it had everything we could need We got out into the wonderful surrounding countryside each day and enjoyed discovering new places. With lots of other places we would like to explore on future trips to the area. Crystal, Andy, Reuben and Delancey were very friendly and helpful. It was lovely to see and hear the children playing and enjoying the sunny weather And thanks for the wonderful banana bread

We had a lovely stay at "The Byre". The location is very peaceful, cottage is well equipped with high quality items and beautifully decorated. I can't remember when I slept that well. We would love to come back in the future. Thx for having us.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Spinney. Wonderful scenery and surroundings. Beautiful gardens, absolutely stunning with plenty of places to sit and relax by the river. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts and communication was excellent, especially the instructions to the house. Well appointed premises and lots of attention to detail. Comfortable and convenient stop on our way to Scotland. Very handy for the M6. We didn't meet the owners but everything was ready for us and access straight forward. We had our dog with us but didn't find any nice walks from the door. We walked along the lane but it wasn't pleasant with a number of cars travelling along. There was a nice park a few miles away that we passed on the way to the accommodation.

We really enjoyed our stay. Beautiful house in a beautiful setting. Just what we needed to relax. Diane went above and beyond. We couldn’t have asked for a better host. The indoor pool was a big hit! Kids loved feeding the chickens and playing with the dogs. Looking forward to coming back soon Thank you again to you and your lovely family for letting us stay in your beautiful barn house.

Lovely little stay. It was quite remote is my only feedback but otherwise everything was fantastic. Host responsive, space idyllic and roomy. Loved the little courtyard area too just a shame there weren’t more mapped walks to follow as I’d have liked to have done more on the last day but hey. No fault of the host or the venue
