Holiday rentals with a fire pit in South Fork

This home was a gem. Tucked in and surrounded by beauty, it was just what my family needed as a “base” for our adventures. It is evident that much care and attention was put into keeping up this property and making it feel like a home away from home. Highly recommend!

Overall nice and cozy. It is an easy 15-20 min drive to the slopes. It is a 5 minute drive to a cute grocery store (rainbow grocery). You want to check out Docs for your souvenirs. Drive into Pagosa Springs for pizza it’s worth the drive and the drive is gorgeous. There are Mule deer all over the town of South Fork, and elk just outside of town. As two older adults, we choose to NOT climb the small circular stairs and let the kids stay up there which meant we stayed in the basement part which was kinda odd but cozy with the kids in the main cabin alone. The back deck with the chairs and the view of the river are breathtaking and the surroundings are amazing!. When we return to Wolf Creek we will be staying in South Fork. We might look around but we would MOST DEFINITELY stay here again and MOST DEFINITELY recommend this property. (Opinion) (A humidifier for winter guests would be awesome!)

This was the perfect place to stay for our family ski getaway. The location was beautiful, quiet and an easy 30 minute drive to Wolf Creek for time on the slopes. The house was super clean, spacious and comfortable. Our hosts were extremely helpful with any questions we had and offered great advice about local favorites for food. We loved our time there!

Great location right on the river. Didn’t catch many fish on the river but it is conveniently located a couple miles from the reservoir. Caught lots of fish there. Great neighbor with super friendly dog next door. Felt right at home. She had all the amenities available which is so nice! Loved the pagoda to sit right by the river and read and relax. The town is small and quiet. Not super touristy, which is a huge plus. Lots of mule deer. Have to check out Creede which is very close. Very cool old mining town. Loved the house, loved the town, loved the trip!

Amazing little farm house surrounded by a working farm. For you city slickers like us, you will love the change of pace and peaceful vibe it brings. From the wood stove to the kitchen table, it distinctly tells you to just chill for a bit. There’s even an old rotary phone that you will definitely want to give a spin to bring back a memory. Overall, a great property for a nice reboot back to the good old days.

Very nice place to stay with dogs! I love being able to find a place that is nice to stay that allows dogs. We had a great stay and our dog loved the place too. The beds were comfortable and we had everything we needed to enjoy our time in South Fork. Nice deck to sit and enjoy the sunset or your morning coffee. The house is close to town to explore or catch a bite to eat. We hope to return for another stay!

Great place for family ski trip! Lots of space, amenities and a beautiful deck to enjoy. Location is great for all things in and around Pagosa Springs. Cindy was a great host and was clear in her instructions.

This was exactly what we were looking for on our trip to Pagosa Springs! Close to town but far enough away to enjoy the quiet mountain air. We really enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub after our days in town. We also appreciated all of the other amenities and the cozy-ness of the home!

Gorgeous property. We were in a detached apartment. We had lots of privacy from the main house…. Which was absolutely gorgeous! Love the rustic log look. Beautiful view of the mountains and valley. So close to town. We skied Wolf Creek. Easy drive up and down the mountain. Beautiful place. 5 stars all around!!!

We enjoyed our stay in south fork. The home was exactly what we needed for our large family other than more seating was needed in the living room. We were snowed in one day and we didn’t feel the space was too small at all.

The place the cabin, the surroundings the forest right behind was perfect for our experience. Our dogs had a blast around the property. And my wife love Pagosa will be back if you’re thinking about booking this cabin don’t hesitate just do it five out of five stars perfect.

This stay was majestic. Had the bed outside anytime I could (thunderstorms prevented it but made for fun afternoons!). The view of the mountains (and Great Sand Dunes National Park) is stunning. Directions to get to the house James sent were helpful and was easy to find. They greeted me when I arrived to give instructions since their property is unique. Heads up the shower is in their warehouse and you do have to walk up the hill and through the warehouse to get to it (but it's private and lovely once you get in the shower room itself). The hot tub cured all of my aches and has the best view I think - you do need to give advance notice so they can heat it up. They also have a couple dogs who will come say hi and some donkies. The space has everything you need: mini kitchen (no microwave/toaster but yes burners), composting toilet, speaker, books, mini fridge, places to sit in and out, extra blankets, lots of airflow. Loved all the special touches and would stay again in a heartbeat!

Melissa was helpful and very easy to communicate with. Always got a quick response when I texted her.

We loved staying at this beautiful house which is only out matched by the beautiful surroundings. It was close to local rock climbing and an easy day trip to many other attractions like the sand dunes. Our host was extremely accommodating and quickly came jumped on fixing our one issue which was slow internet. I’m happy to report that the internet speeds are now more than adequate for two people working remotely. We are already talking about coming back next year and maybe staying a bit longer.

My friends and I had the best stay at Sarah’s cabin. There were plenty of comfortable beds, the view was so beautiful and serene, the fire pit on the porch was perfect. We ended up spending the majority of time on the porch, both in the evenings and in the mornings, but the cabin itself is adorable and cozy! Would absolutely stay again!

I had a very nice and peaceful stay while skiing Wolf Creek. The views are spectacular, the cabin well appointed and comfortable, and close to everything with a short drive. Perfect for my dog and me, hope to visit again!
