Holiday rentals with beach access in South Ayrshire

myself and my family had a wonderful stay in Ayr at Catherine's apartment only downfall was the weather but everything else was fabulous hopefully we will return again soon

The place was great,spotless,peaceful and had great tv. the bed was so comfy,room spotless. the only thing I would say is need a wee lamp in bedroom. all the house was amazingly clean and fresh. Nice touch to have tea and coffee with milk there for us. Sher was easy to contact and replied quickly. would make a great base to travel from. we will return. thanks Sher

The flat suited us perfectly. We know the area well and were lucky to be able to make the booking when our family were staying nearby.

We had an amazing long weekend in Kildonan. The apartment is even better than the photo's, was very clean and had everything you needed. The shower was especially good, wonderful pressure and lots of hot water. We had dinner in the bistro below the apartment and the food was delicious. There are also lovely restaurants in Whiting Bay and Brodrick. It was a wonderful stay and I would highly recommend staying here.

44a was the perfect location for my job at troon boat yard, a 10min walk from the flat. very handy for the wee bar no.47 just across the road. Flat was lovely and cosy, spotlessly clean and well equipped. very comfy bed and great shower. Flat is really close to cafes and shops. will hopefully stay again.

A beautiful home, everything we needed and super comfortable. The location is walkable to everything & right on the lovely beach. Would definitely stay again if we were in the area. Had a few questions before we arrived & answers were quick. Thanks Emma :) Imogen & Ant

Perfect location for our golf trip. The Caravan was absolutely perfect for the 3 of us. Plenty of space, parking outside, great terrace and facilities in the van were great. Site itself the sports bar was great for when we couldn’t be bothered to go into the town. Joanna as a host was fantastic, went above and beyond to help us and provide recommendations etc for our stay.

We were 2 couples in our 50s & 60s and we each said we’d be happy to live there. A great dice and beautifully light and airy. A top tip would be to keep your socks on or where slippers because the laminate floors can feel a little cold underfoot, as were the tiles in the bathroom (this would be a welcome feature in a hot summer I can imagine!) But this does not detract from the wonderful stay we had. Thank you Carrie for hosting us at your beautiful property.

We loved staying here. It is an exceptional setting with stunning views whatever the weather. The cottage is beautifully done out inside and feels like home away from home. You can completely cut off from the outside world and relax and unwind. Absolutely worth the 5 stars and we’ll definitely be booking to go back.

Liana is a wonderful host. Her place was perfect for our needs and convenient for visiting family. We plan on staying with Liana again, if possible, when we return to Ayr in 2026.

Gorgeous home and yard! Loved it!

Geraldine’s place was perfect for our stay . It’s a beautiful home , I couldn’t fault anything and so handy , it’s within walking distance of the town, beach and the ferry terminal to Arran . It was exactly as described . Geraldine was also so quick to respond to any query we had. Genuinely wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again.

This was our second stay at Grants home. A lovely house in an ideal location. We were blessed with great weather and with the beach in such easy reach we swam every day. We would not hesitate to recommend this house as the ideal location for a stay on Arran.

We’re just home from a 3 night stay here and this accommodation was just perfect! It’s set in a beautiful spot, surrounded by hills, greenery and with views of the sea. The entire place is extremely well cared for; we went with our toddler and baby and it was perfectly spacious for all 4 of us, (though it also has a wonderful cosy cottage feel to it)! The beautiful garden and decking look out to the sea; the rooms are all on one level; the kitchen and bathroom were pristine; and the sofas and beds were extremely comfy (the bedrooms having the softest carpet we’ve ever felt)! The location was also perfect - it’s a 2 minute (if that) drive down to Whiting Bay beach and The Shore cafe which we loved; a 20 minute drive to/from Brodick (great for the castle and ferry connections) and generally easy to find. David and Catrina were also such friendly, informative and accommodating hosts! We couldn’t recommend their place more and will certainly be back!

This is a very nice place to stay in Troon. Quiet, on the water front, with beautiful surroundings. My boys and I loved the welcoming baked treats laid out on the counter for our arrival. I would definitely stay here again when we return to the area. Thank you to whoever for opening your home…

The property was fantastic being very well equipped, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The location was stunning with wonderful views and direct access to a private beach. Spotting wildlife from the house felt special, particularly the otter sighting. The extra touches in the house including a welcome pack, were much appreciated.

The photos and description don't do this lovely house justice. Fantastic location right on the seafront. Amazing to watch the changing weather and kitesurfers put on a free show in wild weather! Comfortable house with everything we needed. The back garden is beautiful with lovely planting and pretty lighting after dark. Database a friendly and helpful host and we would recommend this as a place to stay for a family or a few friends.

Really accommodating and very helpful as our plans changed. Place was exactly what we were after.

Michele was a great host and we had a really nice few days staying in her flat. It's a lovely location close to the beach and the shops and also easy to travel to other sites.

Lovely location, walkable to the town centre, beach and along the river. Derek and Angela were great with their communication. A very comfortable property to visit. It was fabulous to see the gathering of swans on the river from the sofa in the mornings.

John was an excellent host - the accommodation was perfect for our workers needs. Highly recommended. Will defo try to book if back in the area.

We loved our stay at Valerie’s… definitely one of the best places we have stayed at, very tastefully decorated, cozy , felt like home away from home and an amazing sea view that we enjoyed staring at when we returned home after a long day golfing, we especially appreciated the thoughtful stuff she left for our use and the welcome bottle of wine and the little helpful notes. We would love to come back and stay here again without hesitation
