Chalet holiday rentals in Sonnberg

The three of us (one adult and two teenagers) spent a wonderfully relaxing week here. Christoph is a great and uncomplicated host who responds very promptly to questions. The cottage itself is exactly as described. The approach is via a narrow path (on which we met two riders on our arrival, which led to a not entirely easy "reverse maneuver"). Behind the house, a stream splashes, but you can't hear it with the windows closed (although I'm quite sensitive to noise). In front of the house, a hiking trail passes by that we used for two tours ("Hochebene Maria Elend - Kapelleralm Runde von Embach" and "Spektakulärer Skywalk - Taxenbach-Wasserfall Runde von Taxenbach" ... just check Komoot). The Berggolf round (clubs and balls are available in the information office in the village) is also fun. The Langreiter pizzeria is highly recommended. The only sticking point: the bunk bed for people > 1.90m.

Florian is a great host. His cabin is romantic and practical at the same time. Located on a beautiful sunny slope, it was an ideal starting point for wonderful days of skiing for us. The panoramic view is beautiful at any time and mood. The cabin has everything we needed with its furnishings and was both original and familiar at the same time. We were completely happy.

Super nice host and cozy cottage. It was perfect for us and the children. It is good that the property is fenced. There were even two high chairs. Everything's fine, happy to come back!

Great choice for bigger groups

We had a wonderful stay and a great weekend. The hiking trails are fantastic, the locals are super nice. The hosts helped us with all questions and responded quickly. Simply great!

Was a perfect place to start our Austria vacation. Was great to stay in the apartment with kitchen so we could cook for ourselves after long days of skiing. And the spa areas were a great way to unwind. Highly recommend for anyone to stay here.

An absolute feel-good place! The small, cozy cottage is perfectly equipped, nothing is missing to be able to really switch off. The view of Lake Attersee is simply breathtaking! It is a small paradise :) The property is maintained with so much love and also completely fenced, which was a huge plus for our 2 dogs. The hosts are incredibly warm, very helpful and super helpful with any questions. Upon arrival, a small surprise for humans and animals awaited us. We will definitely come back – 100% recommendation!

We enjoyed the stay in the schnuckelina hut very much! The cottage is well equipped, the location fantastic! Great hikes right from the front door, or just a few minutes' drive away! Absolute highlight: the sauna in the garden and the view of the mountains :)! In addition, Charlotte was always available for us during the stay! Thank you and keep it up☀️

Beautiful accommodation! It looks like the pictures! Very very clean, very very pretty, almost like a hotel! You feel right at home, absolutely cozy atmosphere. The surroundings are great, you can see the mountains, and there is a small stream next door.

Oliver was a great host - very helpful, polite and accommodating. The house was in very good condition and well maintained. We would come back anytime.

Our group had a lovely time, perfect getaway ski trip. The house is as advertised, very clean, great views and is in pristine condition overall. The hosts were very nice and helpful throughout our stay whenever we needed to reach out to them. There's plenty of slopes near by to choose from, one within walking distance but a car is recommended to have around even tho there are ski busses. Some shops and restaurants are nearby incl ski rentals. Overall a great experience in a lovely location with great hosts. We'll probably try to come back in the future as an even bigger group.

The chalet was very nice, clean and well furnished. The beds are very comfortable.  In particular, the terrace with meadow and fenced property was optimal for us and our dogs. The playground and the various animals are great fun for our little one. We were able to choose breakfast according to our wishes and was very rich. Only the price for only 2 adults and an infant was very high. All in all but a top recommendation! 

The holiday in this house was just perfect. The living ambience including sauna is second to none and the paths to the elevator, restaurants and shopping are short. Claudia's organization as well as communicating with her are impeccable. I'd love to come back...

We had a wonderful stay at Philipps Chalet! The accommodation was absolutely top-notch – very clean and well-maintained. The view from the balcony is simply breathtaking and creates a relaxed atmosphere. The location is perfect, especially for hikers, cyclists or anyone who just wants to relax. The contact with Snejana was smooth, easy and very nice - the process was also uncomplicated and pleasant. I highly recommend this place to stay and would come back anytime. Beautiful chalet right next to the chairlift. Everything as deceived and we particularly enjoyed the sauna at night after a day of hiking. Amazing area for hiking, great organic restaurant in the mountains and a free chairlift ride included in our stay. We experienced an outstanding service! Anything that we needed or requested was sorted within minutes. Fresh sauna towels, high chair for kids etc. really incredible. Top notch service! Would always come back!

The place is lovely! Great location and great chalet. Everything was really great. The only point that irritated us a bit was the check-in and check-out times. Check-in is only from 4 PM.. although we were only able to arrive later due to work, but checking out at 10 AM is quite sporty.. We didn't really have this on our radar and overslept, so I contacted the host and explained that we overslept and would only check out around 10:30 AM. At 10:25 AM a man knocks and without further words he goes into the chalet to clean the hot tub. No hello or goodbye. Of course, you would have to pay attention to the times yourself when booking, this got lost with us. Nevertheless, everything else was great and I can definitely recommend the place!

The four of us had a wonderful extended weekend at this place and can fully recommend it. There was absolutely nothing to fault! The hosts were already very helpful in advance and communication was excellent. 5 stars in all areas!

The place was really great. Super kid friendly and great location. There is another house between the house and the lake, but there is still direct access to the lake. It's also really great and great cooling in the summer. The owners are always available and available in the restaurant next door (this is also highly recommended!).

It was a wonderful stay. We were there with 4 people and a dog. The place is very clean, the beds and towels were fresh and washed. 🫧 We liked the sauna in the bathroom best, which was extremely easy to use and the perfect relaxation after long days of hiking. 😍 The view (directly onto the reservoir with the mountains around) as well as the privacy was just as beautiful. However, you have to accept that the nearest supermarket, etc., is 17 km away. But we would take this over and over again for such a great place to stay.🥹 The house has everything you need.🤗 The communication was also great, as was the descriptions. There is no even better price-performance ratio. Thank you for this lovely getaway.❤️

Nice place for holiday close to cableway. We had a good time here.

The cottage was easily accessible. Check-in and check-out are very straightforward. Unfortunately we had very bad weather, but when we entered the house it was nice and warm and very comfortable. That is why we enjoyed staying indoors and enjoyed our time there. Each room had its own bathroom with toilet, which is really great. Overall, we had a great stay. Absolutely recommended.

Our stay at the Steinbock was a complete success. The accommodation was clean, cozy and equipped with everything you need. We especially liked the quiet location with the magnificent view - perfect for relaxing. The hosts were very friendly, helpful and always easily accessible. We immediately felt welcome. The surrounding area also offers many great opportunities for hiking and exploring. We will be happy to come back!

We were lucky enough to take a week of winter vacation in Charlet Kreuzkogel. Already when we entered the house, we all felt very comfortable. The sauna of the fireplace and the quiet just outside location, made our stay perfect. Everything is within walking distance and was just ideally located for us with two dogs. We will be happy to come back next year.
