Villa holiday rentals in Skyros

Very nice house, in a nice location on a small hill just a short distance ( 5 minutes walk ) from the village center of Agioi Apostoloi. Petries is the name of the area where the house is located, but Petries is also the name of a village 6 km from Agioi Apostoloi. This homonymity made us a little confused, but only at the beginning of the stay. Friendly and responsive guest ( even if not present on the spot ). Very nice surroundings with beautiful beaches, some others are not equipped (you need a car to reach them in any case). Among the many positive aspects of the stay, I note two only drawbacks: 1) the access ramp to the house car park is a steep dirt road with a very uneven bottom to be repaired as soon as possible; 2) many of the doors and windows of the house unfortunately open and close badly due to the deterioration of the handles, locks and sliding tracks of many fixtures I think Vassili is already doing this.

Great place to stay with very friendly, welcoming, and accommodating hosts. We felt very comfortable and enjoyed our stay from the first minute until the very last. We will go back for sure!

Helen's place is great and a true bargain for its price. Relatively easy to drive to and within ~ 15 min from beaches. The place is massive and the huge garden provides plenty of privacy as well as opportunities for activities for kids and adults alike. We stayed 3 adults and 3 kids and there was plenty of rooms / beds for everyone. One additional adult and one more child could have been easily accommodated. Bedrooms and communal areas were equipped with air conditioning units that really helped during the scorching Greek days & nights. The house has a beautiful traditional / retro style throughout and it is clear that the internal decoration has been carefully thought of, giving a very cosy feeling to the place. Additional highlights: 1. The treehouse that the kids loved to bits 2. The hedgehog in the garden, again one of the kid's favourite 3. Farm animals around (sheep, goats and chicken, all fun to watch! 4. Friendly locals that hand you produce. Overall, great place!

We had such a great time at the Blue Villa. The hosts are so easy to reach and all the process went perfectly smooth The house is big, clean and the view amazing from both balconies Each room has is own air-con thanks again and hopefully see you soon!

Firstly I will start my review by saying a few things about the host. Afrodite is an amazing host, extremely helpful and always ready to listen to our needs and do the best possible to make our stay even greater. For example, the days we went there, there was a big heat wave and although the house is in a location where northern winds keep it chilly, she provided us with fans straight away. Regarding the house, the location is perfect, only 30 seconds on foot from the sea and situated on higher ground which provides a nice view. There is a garden in the front with a big wooden table on which we sat every night and really enjoyed it. The house itself is big, with four bedrooms and four bathrooms which is really convenient. There are no unnecessary things in the house and after staying there for a few days it is quite clear that the goal is to have a practical house that you will use as a base for your holidays and not a luxurious place where you will stay most of the time. if you are in a company with a few other people and want to explore the area but also be in a nice place, then I highly recommend Afrodite.

Staying at Villa Maximus was simply an unforgettable experience! 🎉 Anthonis and his mother were exceptional guests: they welcomed us with a kindness and friendliness out of the ordinary, making us feel immediately at home. ❤️ The cleanliness of the villa was impeccable, every detail cared for with love and attention, and the atmosphere there is pure serenity. In addition, we were speechless when, as a courtesy, they gave us beautiful customized t-shirts — a truly unique thought that made our stay even more special! 🎁 I recommend Villa Maximus to anyone looking for authentic hospitality, impeccable comfort and that touch of human warmth that really makes a difference. As depicted, very spacious house with private garden with astonishing sea view (during Easter, it was a bit cold and the heating was working perfectly / only one Air Condition available for the whole house). Sophia is a great host, very helpful and always promptly responsive to our messages. Many thanks for our Evia stay and we shall happily come back !!!

The description is extremely accurate. You get exactly what you see, an elegant island villa, very comfortable, quiet and of high esthetical value (corresponding to the fact that the owner is an artist). The place is simply beautiful if you like Greek island nature, quiet, calm, starry nights, the whispering of the wind. Themis, the host, is very friendly and responsible, knows the area and Skyros well and provided us with a lot of suggestions, ideas and recommendations. We felt very welcome and taken care of while at the same time treated with discretion and respect. It was a fantastic stay in the ideal place and we enjoyed an unforgettable holiday. I hope we'll be able to go back again.

Had an amazing short stay in this amazing villa with friends and family. The place is ideal for holidays. The pictures are very accurate. What I want to highlight that probably other reviews don't mention thoroughly is the attention to detail the hosts have. All places are well thought out and have spot-on amenities - for example, a bar next to the swimming pool, fridges in all the different places you might stay, two types of grills (gas/charcoal) - and even a telescope! I could see that Nikiforos and his wife, not only have good taste, but really think things through. I cannot recommend enough his place, and this couple - super friendly thoughtful, and helpful for everything. 5 stars hands down, and an amazing overall experience. The only downside was that we had to abruptly leave the place, due to wildfires in the area - as instructed by the authorities. :-(

Eric is a great host. The house is well maintained indoor and outdoor. The garden is perfect and the pool fantastic. Everything we needed was there. Two refrigerator, washing and drying machines, dishwasher, all kinds of kitchen wear, AC in all the house, so on and so forth.. in fact the house had everything a big family needs. I appreciate the willingness and readiness of Eric to answer to all our questions. It’s rare to find such accommodating house for a big family. And also, the beach was a 3 minutes walk from the house. Everybody was happy. Thank you Eric I recommend 100%

We were a relatively large group with kids. We got a warm welcome from the charming hosts that were available for every question The house was fully equipped and very clean. The area is amazing very beautiful and the view was gorgeous The only advice is try not to get there in the dark for the first time because it is secluded and the road is a bit difficult at first. All and all a great vacation!!

We had a wonderful week at Villa Vera. It’s every bit as wonderful as it looks in the photos. Inside: The house is beautifully appointed with just the right mix of character and practical modernity. Vera has thought of everything, more plates and glasses than you could ever possibly need, multiple ice cube trays in both freezers (there is a fridge- freezer behind the bar at the pool as well as in the kitchen), hair dryers, irons, blue tooth speaker for poolside music. I could go on. Outside: Our favourite part. The pool is large and the water warm (I don’t know if it’s a salt water pool but it was very clean and had no chemical smell at all). I definitely recommend using the inflatable chair (supplied of course) for the ultimate in lazy relaxation. An unexpected bonus was watching the local swallows enjoy the pool. They swoop down and just skim the surface of the water before looping around for another run. The first time we saw it we thought it was a freak occurrence but it happens several times a day, every day. The grounds are lovely and extensive, they are also very well kept; automatic sprinklers come on in the evening to make sure they retain the lush greenery of the many plants. One evening, we hosted a small gathering with some friends from Kymi. Drinks and olives by the pool followed by dinner on the (huge) veranda, followed by more drinks watching the moonlight over the sea. Unforgettable. The view is really beautiful. Location: The house is located off the road from Kalimerani to Kymi. Both are probably 30 mins walking distance but we always took the short and easy drive. They’re both well worth visiting with plenty of great places to eat and drink. Despite being the main road between the villages, traffic is negligible, I’d guess a single car every 5 minutes on a busy day, so it’s very quiet. The nearest property is roughly 200 metres away so you’re nice and secluded without feeling like you’re in the middle of nowhere. Hosts and communication: Despite arriving very late due to flight complications we were met by Argiris and his fiancée who showed us around. They were very helpful and always available on WhatsApp/text when we needed any tips on the local area. We didn’t contact them re. any issues with the house as there weren’t any, but I’m sure they would have been similarly responsive if we’d needed them. All in all, this is a fantastic property and we will certainly return.

Everything was impeccable! The house and pool were very clean! Quiet and beautiful surroundings and the view from the balcony of the house ideal for relaxing evenings! Equipped with all the essentials and extra! We will definitely be back! Mr.Giorgos, thank you for everything, it was nice to meet you!

We LOVED staying in Niki's beautiful and modern home. It was recently built (3 years ago), had an amazing pool, lots of relaxing areas to sit, and the view was impeccable! The location was wonderful for our family. Traditional fishing village 5 min drive away. Could run the road in the morning for a great workout. One of the most highly reviewed beaches is 3 minutes away. Very private and completely safe (the island is so safe!). Niki was so kind and helpful. Met us at the ferry so that we could follow her to the house. She came one afternoon so that we could do laundry and was always flexible on timing as our day plans got changed. Her recommendations were wonderful, and always seemed to do anything she could to make our holiday stress free. She left great honey and a greek drink for us to enjoy. We would stay again in a heartbeat!

Great house. New construction, with air conditioning in all rooms, modern decor, 3 bedrooms with 3 adjacent beds. Quiet, parking, coolness, lovely terrace overlooking your pool, manicured and beautiful garden around. If I have to make a negative comment this would be that the lower room is a bit small so the bed has a smaller bed maybe suitable for two children. The kitchen has everything. The pool enough to play and cool a family of four and have a nice time. Finally, Nikos and his wife always took care of our cleanliness, our comfort, the right communication, tips for the area and an issue we had with the Internet when we arrived, it was solved seamlessly and very quickly. Great vacation, we'll try to come back next year. Nikos and Eva thank you.

Fantastic view and ideally located in terms of distances.

The house has a fantastic view of the mountain and the sea, the interior is tastefully decorated in Mediterranean style with a comfortable distribution for several families. We thought the lack of air conditioning would be uncomfortable if there was heat, but the ceiling fans in the bedrooms were enough at night. It is easily accessible by car, a nearby beach, shopping, and a larger village. It may be suitable for a longer stay because there is a fully equipped kitchen and bathroom. The owner always responded quickly and kindly to any questions or issues that came up, and communication was easy.
