Cottage holiday rentals in Skye

Another long stay at Forge End has come to an end for my self and work colleague. Again a big thank you to Alea for accommodating us and looking after us over the past 13 weeks and during the booking process. Forge End has been a real home from home for us and has made a long period working away from home a really enjoyable. Your home in Applecross is real find for us and if/when we are required to visit Applecross you will be our first choice every time. Thank you again from both of us.

Absolutely loved our stay at Kinloch - grandparents, their kids, and then their kids and the dog! Such a fantastic warm cosy lodge, will definitely be back! The garden is wonderful, all fenced in, great for the dog, walk down to the loch for a swim, up to the hot tub, then firepit for marshmallows - couldn’t beat it. My favourite Air BnB yet, absolutely loved it 🥰 . Thank you 🙏

This garden cottage was straight out of a romantic fairytale! The gorgeous garden surrounding the cottage and the view of the water and misty rolling hills framed perfectly by a stone wall and ivy were just breathtaking (especially while sitting in the wood fire heated hot tub). The cottage itself was incredibly cozy. We had nearly gotten stranded on Islay with car issues and we weren’t even sure we’d get to enjoy this stop on our holiday. By the time we arrived, we were completely exhausted from the chaos of the previous 24 hours so this relaxing and welcoming space was exactly what we needed to decompress. ☺️ The cottage was well equipped and very clean! We had everything we needed and then some. Caroline was an exceptional host. She was remarkably responsive and lovely to interact with both prior to our stay (when we weren’t sure we’d be able to make it) and during our stay! Anyone with the opportunity to stay here, should absolutely do it! Thank you for everything, Caroline!!

Absolutely fantastic location, with fantastic scenery nearby. Had some wonderful walks, literally behind the property. The BBQ area was fantastic like the hot tub. I can’t say much more, but I will be looking to return ASAP Matthew is a fantastic host and nothing seems to be too much of a problem. Loved the place, oh and the Highland cows are awesome.

Great location with fantastic views. The hot tub was easy to use and very nice after a long day of hiking. Beds were comfortable. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating.

We absolutely loved our stay at Betty’s Lookout! Incredible place, with stunning views. Spent my 30th birthday here, and I couldn’t have imagined a better place. The only thing was the hot tub could have been a little bit hotter, but was still nice to soak in for a while!

The place was absolutely lovely and Debbie’s hospitality was extremely nice. The house is equipped with everything you need and the scenery is just amazing. I really recommend this place.

Lovely place , super clean with everything you would ever need for a short/long stay .super responsive when messaged too ! What a great place ! Only issue is parking on and off the drive can be super tight due to the neighbours parking outside the drive other than that what a place !

Angel Share is the most memorable place of our stay in Scotland. In addition to being completely beautiful, the hosts are of incomparable kindness. Always ready to help us, but quite discreet, it's one of the biggest favorites of our trip. Bonus with Max and Maddle's zootherapy. What's not to love✨

Beautiful cottage. Felt out of the way but was close to road into portree. Very warm building, bathroom and rooms superb. Would highly recommend and revisit. Visiting sheep was an added bonus!

Tigh Darach is a beautiful home in a glorious location. A stunning wood-frame construction built with a wonderful eye for design, light and space. Everything was good quality, eco and in the best possible taste. Not only aesthetic but also extremely comfortable! A lovely family home that they are happy to share with us via Airbnb. A lovely cottage in a beautiful remote part of the Isle of Skye. If we were re-planning this trip I would book this place for several nights instead of just one.

Communication was excellent, and the owner was very friendly. The property is comfortable and spacious, perfect for our family of four. The owner has wonderful taste in books and artwork, as well as in hand soaps, such thoughtful details! The view from every window was phenomenal, and we even spotted a rabbit in the backyard. There are many carpets and rugs throughout the house. We did notice some hairs and fur on them; while it would have been nicer if the floors were a bit cleaner, we understand that keeping all rugs spotless can be a challenge.

The Weather's cottage is a beautiful nest to escape to in the Highlands. There are beautiful walks around the peninsula but it is very well equipped for rainy days as well with board games and books galore. It is also well stocked with kitchen and bathroom essentials etc I would love to go back.

very, cute cottage with many small details. good for visits and hikes in the northern area of isle of sky. wonderful sunsets. we stayed with a family of 4 and a dog and really liked the coziness.

what a fabulous stay! we had the best time and the weather was perfect. and in such a beautiful location! we will definitely be back! very helpful owners and the cottage was absolutely gorgeous.. can't think of one single complaint! looking to book again 🤩

We had a terrific evening at the gatehouse. There were 3 adults in our group and the property was perfect. Having a washer/dryer was fabulous. The kitchen was well stocked and we were able to cook dinner. This property is very clean and comfortable. We loved the castle grounds, it really is a beautiful spot. Thank you for a great stay.

Out of all the places that we stayed while in Scotland, this was our favorite. It felt very homey and comfortable and super clean. We had a few visitors like chickens and a little lost sheep named Lucky Bucky. It was a beautiful home with all the amenities. The shower was very nice and hot and strong. The bed was comfortable in the bedding was luxurious. It wasn't but a ten minute drive to town to get groceries or go to a restaurant to eat. Location to the isle of skye was perfect. You will not be disappointed if you stay here.

A stunning location for this cottage. It was peaceful and has incredible views over the waters to the mountains. It was wonderful to see the tide come and go, we felt close to nature. The cottage was clean and well stocked with kitchen equipment. There are games and books and enough for wood for your first night there. Underfloor heating was lovely and the fire heated the house really well to the point I needed to open the door to cool down - which is great to know you won’t be cold when you’re up there at the end of Autumn! Having a bath while looking out in the views to the mountains felt like a luxury.

Grant’s place was absolutely amazing! We loved every minute of our stay. It was the perfect base for exploring Skye and taking some time to disconnect. One night we cooked in, and another we went to the Old Inn and enjoyed sitting on the patio overlooking the loch, such a beautiful view! We’d definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!!

There is not enough space in this box for me to express how lovely Fiona and her cottage are! Everything is exactly as pictured (actually even more beautiful than pictured) and Fiona is lovely, incredibly responsive to any messages and happy to go above and beyond for any questions that I had. Everything in the cottage is clearly labeled with helpful instructions for use, and Fiona reviewed everything with me at check-in as well. I was traveling alone, and she checked in with me several times to make sure I was comfortable and ensure that everything was going well. A minor repair was needed while I was there and Fiona's husband quickly addressed it and was very considerate with ensuring the repair was done at a time that I would be out. The surroundings are peaceful and incredibly beautiful. I will absolutely be back!

We stayed at Atlantic Drift for four nights and had an amazing time. The accommodation itself is beautiful, charming, clean, cosy and well-equipped. It's located in a small village but it's still really private. The village is a bit isolated, at the far north west of the island, but if your looking for somewhere remote, like us, it's the perfect place. It remains close from some interests points like Neist Point or the Three Chimneys restaurant, and maximum two hour drives to see the other ends of the island. Linda and Ken were very nice and quick to respond. Thanks again for having us.

The Shack is a very comfortable, well appointed abode in a beautiful quiet area close to Portree. Views from the bedroom are beautiful; looking over Loch Portree toward Old Man of Storr. Barbara had placed two comfy chairs in the bedroom from which one can enjoy the view. The listing does indicate a freezer but the fridge doesn’t have a freezer. If you’re there more than a couple of nights you need to pack dishwashing tabs, teabags etc as supplies seem designed for one or two days only. Cake in arrival was a nice touch.

Our stay at The Cedars was a truly delightful experience. The cottage had a cozy, countryside charm and a peaceful atmosphere. Its distance from other buildings provided extra tranquility. There were some lovely walking trails nearby, and the cheerful company of sheep added to the charm. The amenities were excellent — we had access to everything we needed. All the instructions were so clear that we didn’t need to ask for anything else. Kind regards to our Hosts!
