Family-friendly holiday rentals in Silverdale

Had an excellent weekend away celebrating our mums 80th Birthday! Everything there for all the different age ranges from 15-80 year olds always something to do! Host was always at the end of a text for any assistance that was needed! The welcome basket was a lovely surprise! Will definitely recommend & use again. x

We absolutely love this place. Our second visit didn’t disappoint and we will definitely be back. Literally everything provided, host quick to answer queries, local co op for anything you don’t take, stunning scenery, lovely walks and a fabulous hot tub to end the day. Just perfect 👌

The location was amazing and the views were spectacular. This home was exactly what it said on the tin. We were all blown away by it and had beautiful weather to make the most of the outdoor area. The only thing we did notice was that there wasn’t enough wine glasses & champagne flutes. Not ideal when there was 8 women so we had to use half pint glasses. We could have also done with more dishwasher tablets to last the stay. Apart from that it was perfect. Thank you.

A really special place to stay. We had three families and all really enjoyed our stay. We took the option of the caravan too; everything was spotless, well-equipped and very comfortable. Between us there were five kids and there was plenty of space for them to roam and explore. The hot tub and sauna were great too.

My friend and myself spent a couple of days at Little Nook for some peace and quiet. We absolutely loved the place. so pretty and relaxing. Everything we needed was on hand, including a fully equipped kitchen, very comfortable beds, spacious living area, and the hot tub was just wonderful! Sharon and Ralph were very helpful and friendly. Highly recommended. We will definitely return.

We had a great time at Canny Brow Barn. Everything you could possible think of or need for your stay, Ian and Anne-Marie had thought about, from a cocktail shaker to cleaning products to games. Would highly recommend!

We stayed here with some friends to get together for a birthday. We loved the cozy games room and spent our evenings together watching movies all cozied up with blankets. The host was absolutely lovely and her dogs were super cute! It was the perfect quiet break that we needed to enjoy the company of your favourite people. Thank you so much!

Such a lovely place, had a nice girly weekend for my hen do with my bridesmaids and maid of honour and the hosts were really sweet. They were happy to co-ordinate with my maid of honour so the whole thing was a really nice surprise and it was overall really private and peaceful with such stunning views. Would highly recommend and think we will definitely be booking again 🤍

The cottage was beautifully located and the views were peaceful with the grazing sheep and cows. We found the small grocery store that was a 10 minute drive very convenient. Also, Lancaster was a little further and had anything you might need. Windermere was about an hour's drive from the cottage.

Ray and Sue were extremely responsive throughout, they met us and showed us around the apartment. They were very friendly and advised if we needed anything else we could reach out to them. The apartment was exactly as described, clean, loads if room, and we had very comfy beds. We had every item required in the kitchen, plus juice, milk and chocolate biscuits in the fridge which was a lovely gesture, plus tea, coffee, and sugar. Everything was to hand. We had a great stay, I would definitely recommend this accommodation, and our hosts Ray and Sue were brilliant. Thank you so much. X

Absolutely lovely location on the end of a private road with farm animals and fields surrounding the property with a gorgeous river tracking down the valley adjacent to the property. Highly recommended

A Truly Memorable Stay at Artie’s Lodge After reading so many glowing reviews, we arrived with high expectations and we were not disappointed. Our stay was truly wonderful from start to finish. The views over Lake Windermere are simply breathtaking, and the lodge itself is spotless, cosy, and beautifully appointed. Everything you could possibly need for a relaxing stay is thoughtfully provided. Special mention goes to the luxury toiletries, they were absolutely sublime. I’ll definitely be ordering some for my wife! Elizabeth is every bit as exceptional as other guests have described. She’s a warm, attentive host who genuinely goes the extra mile to make sure you feel incredibly well cared for. Breakfast was delicious and set us up perfectly for the day. Thanks to Artie’s Lodge and Elizabeth’s impeccable attention to detail, my wife and I celebrated our 29th wedding anniversary in a way we’ll always remember with great fondness. We wouldn’t hesitate to return or to recommend to others

Had a lovely stay at the Fell View cottage. It was exactly what we needed. A private family retreat surrounded by stunning views. The cottage felt right at home with comfy beds and everything one could ask for. Highly recommended if you are after a break from the noise of city life or even if just visiting the area. Will definitely come again.

We stayed at Simon and Belinda's place for a week and it was exactly what we needed. Fantastic location for walks and food. The Wainwright's Inn is only 0.2 miles away. Great food and local ales on your doorstep. The cottage is cosy, the kitchen is well equipped and the information provided was very thorough and useful. There are some books in the house they have prepared to show various walks and local recommendations. We did some of these walks and our 5 year old enjoyed every second! We took advantage of the leisure facilities at The Langdale. This was a great addition to the cottage! Really recommend if you want a place near to town locations, walks and local pubs/cafés/restaurants.

Great lodge situated right at the top of the site, within 2 minutes of a small walk with panoramic views of the valleys. Bedding was super soft & so were the towels, comfy bed, great sleep. Beautiful surroundings to wake up to and sit outdoors with a coffee listening to the birds. Dog friendly! Comfortable sofa! Lots of utensils and plates.

Really enjoyed our stay, we were celebrating my Mother’s 90th birthday and had other family members staying in other lodges around the park. Beautiful scenery and great location. We’ll definitely be visiting again.

This place was beyond our expectations. Immaculately presented, super clean, tidy, jaw dropping views. I can't fault it in any way and I can't rate it highly enough. Will definately look to return in the future. Stunning!

We stayed at this property as a group of 14 friends on a hiking weekend in the Lake District. Put simply, this is property is incredible! Martin has thought of everything a large group of people could need. The facilities are fantastic, from the hot-tub, to the fully kitted out games room, to the hammocks and swings, fire-pit, outdoor eating areas, speaker systems throughout the house. Everyone who stayed was blown away with the property and we made memories that we will never forget. Thank-you so much to the host for allowing us to stay.

I had an absolutely blissful stay at Johns place. It was wonderful to be surrounded by so many lovely animals, and the views from inside the hut are incredible. A very special spot.
