Family-friendly holiday rentals in Silver Lake, Los Angeles

Jamie and Chuck were great hosts! They were super nice and friendly our whole visit. They were sure to let us know we could contact them about any issues or questions. The place is in a great location, there’s a lot of restaurants nearby and Universal Studios is less than 10mins away. They also let us use their drive way as parking which was great!

Had a wonderful time at ethans place. The place was exactly as described plus more. My favorite was the bath tub it was super relaxing after a long day of hiking. I will definitely be back !

We had a great time at Peter's home. The location was great for our needs. Peter was super helpful and attentive to our questions. The first night we walked to the Thai restaurant Otus nearby and had a fantastic meal. We loved having the extra bedroom in the annex. And the hot tub was heavenly. A big bonus for us . Loved the whole experience .

Kat and Logan were perfect hosts! Kat greeted us upon arrival to share important information. The house was comfortable and perfect for our stay. Everything was very clean and easy to find. Thank you, Kat and Logan, for sharing your home with us!

Norvell’s home away from home was perfect for us. We had a family wedding and needed a big, comfortable place with a great kitchen. This place was perfect. It was spacious, but the layout made it feel even more spacious. There are stairs as you enter which lead to the main level. The extra long table was ideal for our family. I had to do some cooking, and the large island was amazing for prep. We especially loved coffee on the front deck. There are lots of bathrooms and comfy beds. Honestly, I was so grateful for this beautiful home. Weddings can be stressful; Norvell and his home took away any complications. This place is wonderful! He is a very responsive and friendly host.

Hallgrim was a very gracious host. We were moving from another Airbnb & needed a place to stow our refrigerated food for 3 hours. He easily accommodated that & ultimately said we could just check in early. One caveat - be sure you understand the street parking protocol. It works but it can be tight, especially late at night. We always found a spot but you will need good parallel parking skills. The house is personal & eclectic & you will feel like you are staying at a good friend’s house. This is not the usual “just the basics” corporate Airbnb. It is a home. My daughter & I felt very comfortable staying here & would definitely book it again. The Canyon has a unique history. In addition to looking thru the beautiful coffee table book Hallgrim has left out for his guests to enjoy, you must watch Echo in the Canyon for an extended stroll through the musical history of this unique canyon. You’ll be singing Mamas and Papas songs on your way down to Lilly’s Cafe in no time!

So thankful for Al and Leslie opening up their house for people to start at. Al was very generous and gave us a tour and history of the house, most of which a lot of they put into it themselves. The house has a wonderful view of the skyline of downtown and is within walking distance of a lot of good eats and stores by the Sunset Junction. The only regret we had was that we didn’t get to spend more time there. Hopefully I’ll get to visit again.

Lynne's place is a beautiful 3-bedroom home right in the heart of Topanga. It is cozy, cute, and clean. We loved the outdoor bath house. Lynne was responsive, friendly, and helpful. Would return. Thanks!

Such a special spot. Had a wonderful couple weeks here. So peaceful and quiet and the layout of the space is amazing. A great studio space and a beautiful neighborhood. Was perfect!

Tamryn's place exceeded my expectations in every way. The pictures were accurate, and yet somehow did not do justice to just how special the apartment or its surroundings are! There were many thoughtful touches throughout: there was ground coffee, half and half, Greek yogurt and granola available in the fridge for breakfast, hand lotion and sunscreen available in the bathroom, and it seemed that the linens had been washed in scentless detergent, which I really appreciate because I'm super sensitive to soaps and scents. The apartment itself was surprisingly spacious, with a full-size bathroom and cute kitchenette and dining table overlooking their gardens. It was perfect for a weekend stay and I found myself wishing I could stay even longer. Many thanks to Tamryn and her family for the comfortable and well-appointed guest suite!

Kristin and Richard went above and beyond to create a welcoming and peaceful environment. They are both extremely nice and welcomed me personally, even giving me fresh eggs from their chicken coop. The studio is very cute and has everything you could possibly need for your stay. I've never seen an AirBnB kitchen so well stocked!

Great place to stay if you’re in LA for the Warner Bros & Universal Studios, as we’re in the same area. Flat is exactly as described, and the bed is so comfy for a good night rest after a busy day on the roller coasters! Cesca is the best host you could hope for: so proactive to offer local recommandations (food, hike places, activities), super flexible to help us to store our luggage even before checkin was available to make our trip more convenient. She was also so attentive to our long journey to reach LA, and was extra nice to make our first night in the city perfect and relaxing.

Linda’s place was perfect for our busy weekend in LA; comfy bed, great bathroom, and all the amenities needed for a stay. The neighborhood was quiet and great to walk around with our two dogs and close to Larchmont Blvd. Lots of dog friendly activities and dining nearby to walk or drive to. We enjoyed our stay and friendliness of Linda and Elvis, would definitely recommend this place! Thanks again for the hospitality! ☺️

We had a wonderful stay at Marc’s studio in West Hollywood. A lot of care and thought went into the space — everything from the layout to the decor reflects Marc’s great taste and attention to detail. The studio was not only stylish but also incredibly comfortable and functional. One of our favorite parts was the charming backyard — a peaceful spot to relax and hang out, which made the whole experience feel even more special. Marc provided super clear instructions for everything. He was also incredibly responsive and helpful throughout our stay — always just a message away if we had any questions. Highly recommend staying here if you’re looking for a cozy, well-designed spot in a great location!

Charles place was great! It felt comfortable right away and I loved the bed have never slept so well before! Charles was kind and was willing to help us when I had to keep luggage at his place longer than expected. Place was comfy and homie which I love, and the view from window is wonderful! Overall great stay and would recommend!

We hated to leave Ewa’s peaceful, cozy place and beautiful patio. Ewa was warm, friendly, and went out of her way to make our stay enjoyable. Everything was spotlessly clean, quiet, and private. The beds were super comfy and the bedrooms roomy. The best part is the patio and view. We heard at least a dozen of species of birds from the patio, walked the trail that adjoins, and enjoyed being on a quiet dead-end street that’s only 10 minutes from Occidental college. We would come back in a heartbeat!

Michael and Laura were fabulous hosts. Before I checked in, they sent me a message asking about my favorite drink -- so that they could have it waiting for me! I felt like I arrived to a secret garden, with a darling welcome sign at the front door. The entrance feels fully private and the area is so quiet. The space is thoughtfully stocked, with everything I needed for cooking, showering, sleeping, relaxing. Michael checked in to see that I had everything I needed and was quick to respond when I texted about best walkable grocery stores or scenic walks. They are a perfect combination of warm and attentive, while also respecting privacy. This is my favorite Airbnb I've ever stayed. And I hope to come back again! Seriously cannot thank them enough for a wonderful time and for sharing their incredible space with me! Hugs to you both -- fabulous job!

We recently stayed here in Burbank to visit family close by and enjoy Universal Studios. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in the area. It is very centrally located in the heart of Burbank and is in a nice and safe neighborhood with close proximity to a lot of restaurants and the famous bakery, Porto’s. The house is very well taken care of and extremely clean. We stayed with my one year old, four year old and my parents. The layout of the house is nice and the beds extremely comfortable. We really enjoyed the backyard area which had a very wonderful pool including pool floats, outdoor table, and BBQ. The hosts also had a high chair setup and a pack and play for my one year old. Heather and Janeth were also very responsive.

We want to say a huge thank you to these unbelievable hosts. Their house is incredible, they were very fast to respond to all inquiries, we desperately needed a crib and they came over to put one together for us. These are really amazing hosts with beautiful home. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for an Airbnb in LA! Thank you again!

Deborah was an amazing host to deal with, very clear and accommodating. The house itself was a wonderful place in a great location so no complaints whatsoever. My girls and I really enjoyed our stay! Very peaceful atmosphere, exactly what we needed & what we were looking for. Only complaints is we couldn’t experience the waterfall (would have made my daughter’s bday even better) & also the pool heater. This prevented us from using the pool at night (water was cold) we would have LOVED using the pool from morning till night to take full advantage of the beautiful pool but like they mentioned, it’s expensive to maintain, so I def understand.

2nd time staying here. Again was very happy. Great and beautiful location. Quiet. Safe. Parking right in front. Hosts responsive to needs. We needed a few things 1st night and they were immediately taken care of. Such a beautiful location. Excellent stay for the money. Highly recommend

Peaceful and safe, yet still close to everything you’d want to do. 5 minute walk to restaurants and 15 min walk to grocery. There was always room for street parking but I just used Uber to get around. Cute little place to stay. Very clean and quiet. A little table to sit at or a comfortable chair inside. Outside is a pool with outdoor furniture and a tree swing. There is a lot of natural light and a motion light on at night, so if you’re light sensitive when sleeping just bring an eye mask. Patrick is a nice guy. He showed me around and explained everything when I arrived. He had some good recommendations. I didn’t need anything except the batteries changed in the tv remote once and he took care of it quickly. I’d stay here again!

Just right, goldilocks style. We hope to be back again regularly, and felt wonderfully comfortable, at home, easy. Living in BH even for a few days is a dream. The land, gardens, homes, and planning stand the test of time.
