Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Shropshire

Lovely base for exploring Ludlow for a few days. Very comfortable & Victoria made us very welcome, even being so kind as to leave us a pint of milk and a loaf of local bread to start us off. Would definitely recommend.

We needed a base near Shrewsbury for a couple of nights for our family, and this turned out to be just the job. Comfortable beds and loads of character. An added bonus was the location - a great gastropub nearby and just across the road the gates to Attingham Park, ideal for dog walks (on a lead).

What a beautiful place to stay for a few days in the Cotswolds. We loved every detail. It was nice to be in a quieter town rather than right in the middle of the touristy areas. The house was so stunning and a cute place to gather on holiday with my parents. The only thing to note is that the stairs are steep, so my elderly father had a little bit of a hard time getting up and down but it was no problem, just something to consider! Thanks so much, we had a wonderful time.

We had such a wonderful stay at the Hayloft, the location is absolutely stunning and there was lots of space so we didn’t feel on top of each-other at any point. We travelled with three young children and they had an amazing time with all the toys and the space to run and play in the garden. We would definitely return and stay again when visiting the area.

A restful and relaxing two nights in the little Acton Bothy. Nina made us very welcome and then slipped away to give us privacy. The beautifully modernised Bothy had all mod cons without losing the ‘quaintness’ of the building. The weather was wonderful for early June, allowing us to sit outside and absorb the amazing views while having a cuppa or a glass of wine. We’ll be back for a longer more active break.

Like all the other reviews, this little cottage was perfect for us and our 10 year old son. It's pretty small but perfectly clean, comfortable and so peaceful. It had everything we needed and was exactly how we expected it to be from the photos and details. We loved the cows in the field and the peace and quiet. We visited Ludlow (about 15 minutes away) for shopping and meals out. It's a pretty town and has Everything you need, or there are more local pubs and a Onestop and smaller supermarket in Craven Arms. The scenery around the barn is gorgeous and Anne is a lovely host. We have a fab time.

I enjoyed a lovely stay at Clementine Retreat. It was very clean and modern, and only a short walk from Ludlow town centre. The self check-in was easy, and Rebecca responded quickly when I contacted her. Very happy to recommend!

Flat was very clean, well finished and had a superb shower, also well equipped kitchen

Pleasant environment, welcoming host, and a clean, well-kept one-bedroom apartment.

We ve had a wonderful stay; the place is very spacious, clean and cozy and it has everything you need to cook as well. The views are beautiful and surrounded by lots of different animals (including friendly llamas!). We had a wonderful stay and Gwen and John's place. They were both very welcoming and everything was so comfortable. It was great to have the alpacas at the bottom of the beautiful gardens. The welcome pack was fantastic with home made jam and a loaf of bread. The location is fantatic within easy reach of the Shropshire hills and some lovely market towns such as Ludlow, Much Wenlock and Bridgenorth. Definitely looking at booking again.

This was a beautiful, relaxing, peaceful space with incredible views and all the amenities you could ask for. The extra thoughtful and generous items provided by the host made the stay really very special. The bed was comfy, the bathroom was spotless and the chair was possibly the comfiest chair in the world! We absolutely loved it and hope to return soon. Many thanks

We found Ministones to be a very comfortable home away from home. Everything was as described and perhaps even better than the photographs indicate. It has a beautiful private entry and courtyard with parking at the door. Two minute walk to the local pub was an added bonus with well priced meals and very generous portions. We would definitely return if we were ever in the area again.

A great place to stay to explore Upton and the surrounding areas. Apartment is great in a central location right in town, easy walk to anywhere in Upton. Carola and Rick were great hosts, good clear instructions and helpful information. Apartment was spotless (thank you to their housekeeper Emma), and would highly recommended both the Regency Apartment and Carola and Rick as hosts.

Thank you for a lovely stay. Was short but well worth the visit. Location was perfect, close to lots of attractions and a lovely walk through the woods. Very easy to find and simple to check in. The place felt cosy and safe and was very clean. Host was easy to communicate with and gave helpful suggestions on local places to eat and visit.

Had an amazing stay here! The apartment is even better in person – super spacious, full of character, and really well put together. Loved all the little touches that made it feel cosy and luxurious at the same time. Location was perfect for exploring the Peak District, and Wirksworth itself is a lovely little town. Great communication from the host too – everything was really smooth. Would definitely stay again!

Amazing spot on the outskirts on the city - yet in the most peaceful grounds in their own slice of the countryside. What a little gem to have stayed in. Pam and her husband Paul are absolutely lovely hosts who could not have make me feel more welcome. 🙏🏼
