Cottage holiday rentals in Shropshire

Lovely stay, stunning gardens - would have been good to know there are other holiday lets immediately next to the property the listing does give the impression it’s totally isolated but thankfully there were no guests in the other houses while we were there.

We loved our stay at Nimah's airbnb "The Piggery" it was great to switch off and enjoy the surroundings, and we had good weather for 90% of the stay which made it even better. The location was ideal and the views from the property were amazing, especially during dusk. There were lots of useful things within the Piggery and the hosts seem to have thought of everything to make you stay relaxing ,including a great selection of dvds and games.We done a lot of walking during our stay and highlights included walking into to Llangollen via the canal path and visiting horseshoe falls and the surrounding area. Lots of places to eat including the Bridgend hotel in the town centre and returning to relax in the hot tub with the views was really nice We would definitely return and stay again at the Piggery, Nimah was an attentive but not intrusive host, and we wish her well with the upcoming addition to her family

This was our second stay in Sarnau and we enjoyed our four nights as much as our first visit. The property is just lovely. In a beautiful location. Peaceful but easy to get to places. It’s extremely well equipped and spotlessly clean and with fabulous hosts where nothing is too much trouble. We find it a great location to do lots in the area and this time we visited the coast twice which is less than an hour away. Highly recommend and we hope to be back.

Our second time at this lovely hideaway in the Shropshire countryside. Not disappointed as this is a lovely place and you feel at home straight away. We were both suffering from colds and Rebecca was very easy to communicate with when we needed more heating. Great place and we plan to be back again next year.

Jamie & Dan are very fortunate to have this beautiful property. It is the ideal country location for escaping away and distancing yourself from our increasingly busy lives. The gardens around the property are stunning, the views are incredible and the local area is amazing to explore on foot, bike or by car. We had an amazing stay and would happily return, and have already started to recommend to friends & family

This place is so lovely! Host Meng was so kind, even putting some beautiful flowers in the cottage for my birthday ❤️ the view is spectacular, it's one of the most peaceful places I've been. Hot tub is great fun, the kitchen has got everything you need including washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets. The bed was comfy, plug sockets everywhere you'd want them and usb sockets. It was great to see how dog friendly the place is with throws for the couch, fenced garden and fixed stairs gates. I highly advise popping into Jolter Press Cider bar/shop and getting some food from the local Chinese takeaway. Also a walk to St Anthony's Well, there's some step incline/declines on the walk there but it's beautiful and you have to take a dip! We also went to the Three Choirs Vineyard that was beautiful and good fun too. I would definitely come back and I think it would be equally beautiful in any season, our summer trip was fantastic but I'd love to see it in autumn or winter too.

What a truly beautiful venue if you want a quiet & private setting with amazing views & a trip to wonderful day trip to Ludlow with lazy cafes & a wonderful river walk… beds were comfy, everything you needed & a private hot tub was the perfect end to a days walking!

We’ve had a peaceful and happy time at Jane’s Garden Terrace. We made excellent use of the soft lush lawn to play games and relax, enjoying the sun beds and table and chairs. The beds and such are comfortable, the kitchen has most of what is needed but hot water in the kitchen was not available. The shower over the bath has to be used laid down or crouched over so would not suit a person with mobility issues. Lovely decking area and hot tub. Jane was super friendly and most kind. We wanted a rural location for a girls catch up and this accm delivers exactly that.

A lovely little cottage with everything you need. Shame we were your last ever guests Steve. Hopefully the next owners do a great job.

A lovely cottage perfect location away from hustle and bustle. Hosts were very nice people and expressed that if we needed anything we were only to ask but we didn’t need to as everything was as expected. Can highly recommend.

Lock Cottage is a perfect place to stay, a beautiful, quiet location. The cottage is very comfortable, scrupulously clean and well appointed. We enjoyed the welcome pack. We hope to stay again.

Second stay at Fox Cottage and it was fabulous. Andy and Gina are great hosts. The location is perfect for exploring the Derbyshire Dales - Chatsworth, Hathersage, Bakewell, Buxton, Hartington and Matlock are all within a 30 minute drive. The cottage itself has all of the comforts you'd expect of a 5* hotel, as well as free EV charging which is a major bonus. Highly recommend Blakelow Farm and look forward to staying again.

Lynn and Simon were such great hosts to both me and my dog! Nothing was too much trouble and they went out of their way to suggest restaurants and points of interest in the village ( and the best way out by road and local places of interest to visit.) I walked into Brewood and on their recommendation, went to the Indian restaurant for a takeaway which I can definitely recommend. Little Elm is so peaceful, just an owl hooting at night and the cottage itself is ideal for a single person or couple. A lovely welcome pack of breakfast essentials, milk, tea, coffee, bread, butter, marmalade and jam plus cereals and the most fantastic Victoria sandwich ! I’m still enthusing about that now! My dog loved running and exploring in the spacious enclosed garden and loved the treats from Lynn and Simon even more! Lovely wet room/bathroom and a sauna available too. Thank you for a fantastic stay and I'll definitely return if I'm in the area again!

We had a lovely stay at Simon’s beautiful cottage. The bed was really comfy and there was no external noise (apart from the sheep!). It was such a peaceful few days and perfect for us with our 7 month old daughter and dog. The cottage is set on the hillside with stunning panoramic views. The garden is fenced all the way round and there’s a perfectly placed bench to watch the sunset. The interior was kitted out to a high standard and had all the basics you would need. Simon was very friendly and offered some great local recommendations. We will definitely be back one day to visit again - thank you!

This little hideaway is just breathtaking. I could’ve watched the birds and listened to the water in the garden for days and days. The garden is spectacular and the standard of finish throughout the whole space is just exceptional. I wish I had such a brilliant eye for interiors! Nicola was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout too, many thanks and will be back again you can be sure!

We had a wonderful stay at this idyllic cottage right in the centre of Bibury—truly the quintessential Cotswolds experience. The location couldn’t be better: tucked back from the main street, but only a few steps from the iconic Arlington Row, with views of the river and surrounded by honey-coloured stone cottages. The cottage itself was beautifully presented—cosy, clean, and full of character, with all the modern comforts we needed. The second bedroom is up a spiral staircase that might not be easy for some to negotitae. Bibury is a peaceful village, and staying right in the middle of it allowed us to enjoy the quiet early mornings and evenings once the day visitors had gone. It’s also a perfect base for exploring the wider Cotswolds. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing, storybook getaway in one of England’s prettiest villages. We’d love to come back!

Our stay at Victoria’s cottage was one that we will reminisce about for a long time - hopefully we will be back soon and will stay much longer! We were so comfortable and felt very much at home, with a dream king bed and beautiful art and textiles decorating the home. Wotton-Under-Edge is a scenic 20-minute walk away for all amenities. Truly a restful Cotswolds experience surrounded by farms and nature.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with freshly baked bread and a thoughtful basket of goodies — such a personal and generous touch. The space itself was beautiful, cozy, and spotless, with every detail carefully considered. But what truly made our stay unforgettable was our hostess. She was incredibly kind and welcoming — warm, helpful, and genuinely caring. It’s clear she puts her heart into making her guests feel completely at home. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and can’t wait to return. Highly, highly recommended!

Jane's cottage was beautifully located in a private spot, surrounded by gardens and fields. The cottage is very quaint and very well appointed with everything you need for your stay. We enjoyed walking around the gardens, field, stream and weir and spotted a lot of wildlife en route. We couldn't have asked for more.

Annette’s place is absolutely beautiful with stunning views and a great host! The place itself has everything you need with a modern bathroom, fully-fitted kitchen and comfy bed. The view from the apartment spans for miles, and there are tons of beautiful walks to explore. We really enjoyed our time here, relaxed, enjoyed the sun and will miss Annette’s cute cat Kitty and her friendly goat and sheep, Alison and Boris! Thanks so much Annette for being so responsive to our queries, giving us some fresh veg and for letting us stay at your amazing place. We hope to be back in the future!

My parents were over from New Zealand for a holiday and we took some time out to spend quality time together exploring Herefordshire and Wales. What a beautiful home, we felt so lucky to have found it! Amy is a lovely host, she lives right next door and popped by to say hi on our first day, but other than that she left us to it but was always there if we needed anything. Which we didn't as she had provided us with all we needed. The house was spotless, spacious, and with a beautiful garden that we spent as much time in as possible, even though the weather was being a typical British summer! I would happily book to stay again if I'm ever back in that beautiful part of the country.

I am at a loss of words. The cottage was absolutely perfect. The home was perfect for our introduction to the Cotswolds. We wish we had reserved more days! Thank you for opening up your home to us. Paul

What a magical cottage I felt at home the moment I went through the door. A very cosy living room in the evening. Beautiful kitchen and very well equipped by the host, with some lovely little extra touches that you don’t always have with other homes. The view from the terrace looks directly over Bridgnorth and the river Severn, and is a very calming peaceful place to sit. The bedroom and the bathroom were also immaculate. Annie is a fabulous host, always responded to messages promptly and was very helpful. With the cottage situated just off the high street there was plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from, and the surrounding countryside also has plenty to offer. I would absolutely stay at Annie’s cottage again, it just felt a very relaxing space. I totally recommend a visit. Peter.
