Holiday rentals with lake access in Sherrills Ford, Lake Norman of Catawba

Dear Robert and Charleen, Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us. The Bird House is truly a gem, and you are blessed to own it. The pictures on Airbnb do not do the house justice. As I entered on Wednesday, my breath was taken away; the views of the lake and natural light filled every room. The beauty of the natural surroundings, together with the well-thought-out interior design and appointments, made our experience one to remember. My mother and I truly had a wonderful and restful Thanksgiving. You had very clear notes regarding how to work everything (the blinds). Clearly, a lot of thought was put into what would make guests comfortable (lap blankets and a variety of lighting with dimmers), and all of the items one would use at home were in the kitchen, enabling us not to have one worry during our stay. We hope to return during warmer weather to enjoy the outdoors.

This lake house was everything we hoped for and more. From the moment we arrived, it felt like a true escape. The house had everything we needed for a perfect family getaway—cozy, clean, and so thoughtfully stocked. But what really stole our hearts was the view. Watching the sun set over the water each evening, wrapped in a blanket with nothing but the sound of the lake and laughter in the background, was pure magic. We made beautiful memories here and can’t wait to come back. Thank you for sharing your piece of paradise with us. Highly recommended, we will be back! We also used Lake Effects for our boat rental, they were fantastic! It’s about an 18 minute trip back to the house on the water.

Wonderful place to enjoy the lake. From the hot tub, fire pit and kayaks we enjoyed it all. We fished from the dock, some catching their first!! The optional pontoon boat rental was icing on the cake! We made great family memories.

We had a wonderful stay. The house was cozy and extremely well maintained and clean. The view of the lake was amazing and the area was quiet and peaceful. This was our first trip to the area and Kate was very responsive to my messages. Highly recommend.

This was a peaceful stay for my family. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting by the fire near the lake every night. The kitchen was well stocked with small appliances, dishes and cutlery. Spices were a nice bonus. The tree swing was a pleasant surprise for our kids! Some noise can be heard from the road nearby but not enough to detract from the stay. Property management requires a short-term lease in addition to Airbnb’s agreement which was advertised in the listing, so be advised. Would love to stay here again!

Beautiful location, enjoyed boating and kayaking from the yard walkout to the lake

Wow, what a location right by the lake! We absolutely loved this accommodation. its tastefully decorated, calm, peaceful and private. the living space is sociable and the front porch allows you to enjoy the view of the lake, the birds and just the wonderful peaceful atmosphere. there are kyaks and paddle boards and a beautiful dining area on the jetty. Comfortable beds, pretty linen, great bathrooms and a well equipped kitchen make it feel top end. Clearly this place is loved by the owner and we recommend it to anyone looking for a tranquil stay. we came to Charlotte for the Speedway but we're so happy we got out of town to explore the countryside and enjoy Lake Norman. Downtown Moorseville is about 20 mins away and was a lovely place for a bit if shopping and some nice coffee ☕️ Thank you Patricia. we highly recommend your beautiful place at Tranquility Cove x

Wonderful cozy stay . Everything was as advertised! Fishing on the lake was my favorite part.

The condo was very clean, new and large. Actually 4 floors in a renovated church. 1st floor was kitchen, living room and half bathroom. 2nd floor was master bedroom suite with walk-in shower, laundry room outside suite. 3rd floor was 2 additional bedrooms and a shared bath. 4th floor was a roof top sitting area. Everything looked brand new and well stocked. Host was extremely proactive in checking in to see if we had any issues, which we did not. Location was ~1 mile from downtown Charlotte and easy driving distance to everything. Enjoyed our stay and will comeback if heading to Charlotte again. Thanks for sharing and caring..

Beautiful setting with lots of things to do. Dogs are great. Lake is lovely. Kayaks are nice. Lore cared a lot that we were happy during our stay.

Nice apartment with all the amenities you need. Comfortable bed. Beautiful views of the lake and nice balcony. Can walk to Davidson city center from the apartment which takes about 30 minutes. We had a great stay, would recommend.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay! The unit had anything you could possibly need. Was great not having to run to the store to get this or that as they already had everything available. Very clean!

Lisa and David were exceptional hosts. Lisa communicated with me many months prior to my father’s stay and was exceptionally kind. She went as far as to speak with me on the phone. The home was immaculate and the style was current with clean lines, plush pillows and was extremely inviting. The area in which the home is located is safe, quiet and private. Access to town (as my father cannot drive) was perfect walking distance to coffee shop, diner, restaurants, town green, library and the college campus. Perfect stay. Perfect hosts.

Had an amazing stay at the cottage. Plenty of outdoor activities to take part in, including easy access to the lake! Earl was a great host. He was friendly and responsive, and proactive in his communication. Would recommend to anybody looking to stay at Lake Norman!

This place is absolutely beautiful, peaceful and just what our family needed. So grateful that we were able to bring our sweet dog too. Our son is way into fishing-the dock was exactly what we were looking for. LeeAnn is an incredible host, answered any and all questions and the place was exactly as she described. We already know that we will be back and can’t wait to plan our next visit.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Zachary’s place and highly recommend it for a perfect lake getaway. Zachary and his family are great hosts.

We absolutely LOVED this cottage on the lake! The view was beautiful, and the kids caught a lot of fish off of the dock! It was very clean, the beds were comfortable, and it had everything we needed. Jack was a great host. Very responsive and hospitable. Already talking about when we can come back!

Stayed here this past weekend and it was amazing. Beautiful house, very clean and cozy. Outside was private with a privacy fence on one side and shrubs on the other. It was quiet at night and with a gated driveway it felt very safe. I would definitely stay here again.

Absolutely beautiful property! We stayed here for Memorial Day weekend. We cooked-out on the grill and were surprised to find the fridge was conveniently already stocked with some basic condiments which made for an easier and less expensive grocery run! Nice kitchen and grill. Plenty of space. Amazing lake with access to kayaks, a paddle board, and lake mat which made for a fun time. Jamie was so sweet and very responsive. Would definitely stay here again!

Stacey's home was fabulous! This was our families second time here and we can't wait to come back again. We have kids and grandkids in the area and it is perfect for all of us to get together and enjoy the lake and local area. Our son brought his boat and docked it the entire stay. The grandkids had an absolute blast playing in the sand and on the beach. EVERYTHING we needed was provided for the many meals we cooked/grilled. The screened in porch was amazing for the rainy morning we had. If you are looking for a relaxing lake get away, this is it. Thank you so much for sharing your lovely home with us Stacey.
