Holiday rentals with a kayak in Shenandoah Valley

We had a great time at Greg’s and Nicole’s place! I highly recommend it. We especially appreciated how well stocked the kitchen was, as it is somewhat rare to find when staying at a rental.

Amazing stay at Coco Cabana over the memorial day weekend! The house is beautiful, very spacious for our large group, right next to lake Anna with a private dock/kayaks/sand pit and fire pit/detached game room. Lots to do for kids and adults alike! We also appreciated the well stocked kitchen. The Wifi had unpredictable connection issues but it was addressed immediately. But all in all an absolute gem of a place - thanks to Daniel and team for everything!

Had a relaxing few days at this cute cottage on the river. Lovely porch with a view. Very secluded but easy to get to all of Richmond's attractions. Bubba the donkey was very welcoming. We couldn't come or go without petting him!

This place was perfect ! Everything you could possibly need was available to us . The hot tub and the fire pits were amazing. The view was incredible. There was so much to do very close to the house! Potato chip tasting , wineries , cave tour, and a really cool parade float museum! We also truly enjoyed the space , lots of room to relax and read a book, play ball outside , fish in the river… great place , highly recommend!

Gary was courteous, responsive and flexible during our time leading up and during our stay. My family and I enjoyed the amenities as well and peaceful seclusion the property brought during Mother’s Day weekend. Willing to help every step of the way, we have no issues with the property and are hopeful to rebook at the same venue for other occasions as well. Highly recommend!

Shiloh Lodge, which my friends and I have renamed, Chateau Shiloh, was everything we could have hope for and more. Sadly, it rained 3 of our 5 days but it didn’t matter. This home was so comfortable and welcoming and relaxing; we didn’t care we were rained in. There were puzzles and games and books and great streaming services to keep us occupied. However, we barely used those amenities. We spent those days cooking and talking and sitting in the rocking chairs looking out the sliding glass doors and watched and listened to the rain, watched the wild life and of course, looked out at the beautiful mountains and the river. If you need a place of peace of mind, body, and spirit renewal, Shiloh Lodge is the place. We thank you so much, Diana , for such a wonderful experience. Take care.

Our stay was very nice. The view is amazing and the house is open and spacious. We spent much of our time outside on the 2 tiered pier deck and enjoying the sun and fresh air. The kitchen and bathrooms are all done well. The high ceilings are nice , but make a noisy family like ours sound even louder, but hardly a reason not to return. Highly recommend.

We enjoyed renting Jackson Hole house. It is our second time being there and the house was clean and had everything that we needed for our stay. The house is spacious and everything was in working order.

Great cabin. Nice warm heater. Great kitchen. Great nature vibes. Right next to a small pond that you can canoe in.

This 3 night trip was part of our 2 week trip visiting family in VA. We chose this house because we have a small dog and thought the yard would be good to have. The house was clean and the kitchen was very well stocked. Amy even left a nice little surprise for us. She answered all our questions and was very helpful. We enjoyed walking to the coffee house and being minutes from our son.

This place was amazing and had fantastic views! We had such a great stay, the set up is perfect to have fun as well as relax!

If you are looking for a secluded little get-away with a great host, this is the spot. Unfortunately these reviews only allow 1000 characters otherwise I would write a novel of a review for Rachelle and The River House. I stayed for 6 weeks with my dog in April and May watching Spring bloom. How beautiful! I was able to float down the river, see wildlife, go fishing, get fresh free-range organic chicken eggs, eat outside in the fresh air, hangout with one of the neighbor dogs, watch hummingbirds, and enjoy fires at night in the firepit and more! They recently added Starlink for the internet wifi and it was blazing fast. It is perfect for working remotely (video calls) and streaming. The beds and pillows are comfy. The water is hot. The place is clean. Rachelle is a top-tier host and super friendly, considerate and responsive. We had a couple of minor issues and she resolved them ASAP. If you're not used to the buggy woods keep that in mind, especially during the warmer months.

The place is unique and has an amazing view of the river. Our family had a great weekend getaway and didn't need to go anywhere the whole time to stay busy. The surrounding area is quiet and peaceful. Kitchen was stocked to have anything you need to cook.

Beautiful location, very peaceful, and very responsive owners! I highly recommend this location! Very easy access to Gettysburg and surrounding attractions. This unit exceeded expectations.

We had a lovely stay at this charming cottage in West Virginia! The house was clean, cozy, and exactly as described—well-stocked with puzzles, games, and a great selection of DVDs that kept us entertained during a rainy weekend. The surrounding area is stunning, with beautiful hikes and scenic views just minutes away. While there’s no cell service, the Wi-Fi was reliable enough for our needs. We were disappointed to miss out on the fire pit and canoe due to the weather, but that just gives us a reason to come back. Highly recommend for a peaceful and relaxing getaway!

If you like the Mother Nature this is the place for you. Awesome house, comfortable & absolutely privacy. Our family was enjoyed it.

River House – 5 Stars My husband and I stayed in the River House for 4 days. We totally enjoyed ourselves there. It was exactly what we were looking for, peace and quiet while gazing upon nature at its best. The house is very clean, neat and crisp with a touch of warmth everywhere. It has everything you could want for your stay, making it home-sweet-home. The house is nestled between trees and situated right on the bank of the Shenandoah’s running river. Enjoy the lush green forest across the river while drinking your morning coffee in the sunroom. You’ll see that this serene setting brings a daily refuge of birds nesting and hummingbirds feeding to the top deck. The sunroom is so cozy and inviting. It seems as if the house is on stilts sitting over the running river. The River House has two large decks, a patio and boats for your family’s enjoyment. We have stayed here about a half a dozen times over the years. Josh is simply the perfect host, and the cabin is very private, absolutely gorgeous, alway spotless, with awesome and breathtaking surroundings. Just extraordinary - Six stars!!

Staying at Mark’s cabin was a splendid experience and quite possibly the best part of our visit to Virginia. Mark was responsive to any questions or concerns that we had. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was clean and tidy, and all of the appliances were easy to use. It was a relaxing getaway for us, mainly due to how quickly Mark worked to address our concerns. The cabin was in a beautiful and quiet place, and the view from the porch was magnificent. Would highly recommend Mark’s cabin to anyone who wants to visit the Shenandoah area!

Amazing place I just love it. I’m gonna tell my other family members to visit this place and I’m gonna come back within two months peaceful good time my kids and my wife still love it and the best view and best house very clean. Feel like home.

Colleen's place is awesome! It's convenient to local wineries, hiking/biking, whitewater rafting and kayaking, and plenty of local services. We were out kayaking every day and enjoying the hot tub afterwards. The carport was handy on one of our (rainy) nights, and the outdoor area is one of the things that sets this property apart. The kitchen is well appointed, internet was fast (we had to telework a bit), and the small touches made a big difference (we especially appreciated the breakfast treats). We would definitely stay again and we hope to be back!

Sean's place was beautiful and close to Berkley Springs but far enough away to be quiet and peaceful. highly recommend this to anyone wanting a get away .
