The decor is a wonderful blend of old and new. Everything was well thought out. The view was gorgeous. We would highly recommend for a restful getaway.

We had a wonderful stay! Jimmie was very proactive and still took time to check in and make sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. Jimmie and Jackie were so sweet and made us feel right at home. The area was beautiful and we enjoyed a morning walk to the one lane bridge as well as local restaurants and wineries. We hope to be back in this area again one day because we really loved everything! If you’re looking for an Airbnb that feels like coming home to family that actually is warm and welcoming then this is the place for you to book!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this cabin. I felt so relaxed and at peace while I was here, and the views were amazing as well. I also appreciated how Carolene left a binder on a table that included great restaurant recommendations. I'm definitely gonna return to this cabin in the future!!!

What a wonderful place! When we came in the front door and did the initial tour, there were a lot of "wow's." It's thorougly historic with amazingly thick hand-hewn log walls, visible on inside and outside -- and with modern heating equipment (including a temperature-controlled fireplace), it is very cozy. We loved the antique furniture and how well it was selected for the various functions. And though so many historical features are preserved, the kitchen and bath elements are up to date and very tastefully blended. The huge shower is great! And what a wonderful host! From the very start, Carol took the lead on pointing things out and answering questions she knew we'd have. And she was super helpful on particular needs we had. So, how do you give a 6th star??

Our stay at The Bungalow exceeded our expectations! An absolutely stunning home in picture perfect surroundings and a stone’s throw from Veritas Vineyard and Winery, the location for a family wedding we were attending. Dawn and Damond were welcoming hosts who anticipated anything we might need and need to know-information about the house and surrounding area was helpful and clear and they quickly responded to any questions we had. We have frequently traveled to the Charlottesville area and this was the best stay we’ve ever had!

We had a great stay in Scottsville with the 2 of us and our 2 dogs. The property is gorgeous, especially during the sunrise with the sheep all gathered around in the field in front of the cottage, a truly relaxing and picturesque place. Coming from a city, this was a great way to spend a long weekend away from the noise, we loved visiting this part of the county and definitely want to come back. Short drive to breweries, wineries, and hiking trails up towards Shenandoah NP.

Let me just say, when I booked the Skep House, I got way more than I bargained for. I was initially looking for an affordable place to stay while visiting Morgantown for a community hobby event I was attending. All the event recommended lodging was a bit out of budget for me, so I went on AirBnB to look for something more affordable, private, homey and comfortable. Jeff's house was not only affordable, but it was incredibly clean, comfortable, private, and most importantly—relaxing! 10 out of 10 I would stay at the Skep house again, not just for an alternative option but just for the sake of staying at this exact spot, again! That's right, I would definitely stay at this place again just for the sake of the peacefulness, hospitality, and accommodations. I brought my own food but was surprised I got to enjoy Jeff's own farm fresh eggs and bread. If you want a magical place to stay, reserve the Skep house. You won't regret it!

I had never been to the Charlottesville area and was ready to “tour.” However, when I got to the Rose Cottage, it was so peaceful and relaxing that I opted to relax on the porch, take a stroll through the meadows, and even sit in the Adirondack chairs while I sipped my coffee instead of touring Monticello or fighting for a parking spot in Charlottesville. The cottage had everything we needed and more. I know where I will stay when I return… it was perfect in every way! Thanks for the beauty and hospitality - Steve and Debbie

This is the second time we stayed at the Shenandoah River Retreat. The cottage is lovely and clean, well maintained. The location is so peaceful and restful. Mornings were my favorite, sitting on the front porch, watching the sunrise come up over the mountains, drinking my coffee. The hot tub is wonderful as well. Scott responds promptly to any questions we have and is easily accessible. The location is great for us. We visit often to see our grandkids, who live down the road in McGaheysville. This retreat is our go-to relaxation and refresh place in Virginia.

This is one of the nicest Airbnb's that I've stayed in! It had all those extra little things that made our stay easier. We were visiting for a weekend hiking trip. The home was central to many great hikes. There were local restaurants very close by. It was overall a very enjoyable stay. I would definitely stay here again.

Fran was an exceptional host, and the yurt was such a fun way to ring in the New Year. I won't mince words: it was chilly, but the buddy heater was a welcome amenity, and the bed was beyond comfy and piled high with blankets. The bathhouse 250 steps away was terrific, but by far and away my favorite perk was the en suite--the composting toilet around the corner on the deck, something I didn't know about until I arrived! Fran thinks of everything, and, given I was starving on arrival, the freshly baked bread was such a welcome treat. If you're a beer drinker, don't miss Blue Mountain Barrel House & Smokin' Barrel Restaurant. Thank you, Fran!

This place is AMAZING! So many fun things to do! The hot tub in the cave was mind blowing, we loved it! Our 6yr old enjoyed feeding and petting the bunnies and chickens! Fishing was so much fun! Ken was an amazing host and responded very quickly! !!5 STARS!! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

The cutest cabin with the prettiest views in a secluded, quiet spot! The kitchen was incredible, so well stocked we cooked 2 nights; they’ve truly thought of everything and even the products are nicer than the cheaply stuff so you feel totally at home☺️ WiFi was great considering we had to work a bit, we never had an issue. Took a little bit to get to hikes in the park but they were very communicative about that so we knew going in. And the bed upstairs was so comfy!! Waking up to the view of the trees and the hills ::le sigh:: honestly made it hard to get out of bed haha thank you for a beautiful stay!

This cabin is a must stay for anyone in the Lexington, VA area. We definitely hope to stay there again! The cabin has beautiful rolling mountain views and we saw deer, rabbits and turkeys each day we were there. The cabin itself was clean, decorated well and private. The owners April and Zach were extremely welcoming and responsive. Definitely order some delicious bakery items from them, you will not regret it! Highly recommended for families or adults just wanting a getaway.

We stayed at the cabin for the weekend and absolutely loved it! It was the perfect place for peace and privacy. We really enjoyed our stay—especially the view, it was sooo beautiful!

Lorene’s place was 5+STARS🌟 Private but close to the event we were attending. Beautiful property, lots of walking trails, pet friendly, beautifully furnished and stocked with all the necessities…it felt like I was visiting my grandmas house 💖 Loved everything about the house but the sunroom was the cherry on top. Lorene and her husband were very friendly and we really enjoyed talking “history” with them. Highly recommend 🙂

Absolutely gorgeous farm property. Perfect for a tech free getaway. This was our favorite bnb of our entire roadtrip. Fantastic views of the stars. Loved waking up to ducks quacking outside our window and roosters letting you know they are there. The log cabin is very small and quaint but cozy. Ray and rosemary were extremely friendly. Would recommend this spot to everyone. Very little service in the area but we didnt even notice looking at everything going on at the beautiful property. Will be returning just for this canin!
