Holiday rentals with a kayak in Shelter Island Heights

We loved the home and yard. Beautiful is the best description with so many seating options. The house is bright and inviting. The hosts have done a great job decorating and providing so many amenities not even listed. I would recommend this beautiful home to anyone wanting a place to relax and enjoy what is there.

Wonderful, quaint older home with character. Walkable to the beach/LI Sound. Very peaceful! has all the amenities you need to include the washer and dryer. John is a very responsive. caring, pleasant host. he always answered all of our questions promptly. Great value for what we needed. Thanks John.

Fantastic cute spot in Old Saybrook. Key things for future guests to know - there is no A/C in the winter months so the air can get a bit stale / stuffy in the house. Plus there is no washing machine / dryer in the house, so defo bring enough clothes!

We had a relaxing overnight with our two pups! The bay/sound area is so peaceful. Our dogs enjoyed swimming before the tide came in and we kayaked along the shoreline. The inside was stunning and had everything you needed and more! We door dashed lobster rolls from the Bonfire Grille nearby (10/10) and ended the night in the hot tub! Coffee on the sunny patio was a great perk, too! Thanks again!!

This was such a cozy and inviting space. I was so impressed by the little touches literally everywhere I looked. It made it feel so much like a home and instantly made us feel comfortable. I cannot say enough about the amenities. We brought a few things from home but we really didn’t need to. This place has everything you could think of then some- especially with regard to outdoor enjoyment and beach equipment. We traveled with 12 year olds and 14 year olds and if you have kids in that age range, you know they aren’t easy to please! I got no complaints about being bored, everyone was happy with their space, and they especially loved being able to take our dogs. The host was wonderful and offered suggestions or help when we needed it. We would absolutely go back.

We had a fantastic stay! The home is exactly as described and the backyard was beautiful. We really enjoyed being able to walk to the private bay beach and utilize the yard space. Petra was very quick to answer any questions. We will be back!

This home was beautiful! The location had amazing views, very quiet but lots of restaurants/ coffee shops/ activities nearby. Cindy was so welcoming and responsive, would recommend to anyone!

We had a great stay at the Airbnb. One thing I haven’t seen mentioned in the reviews or descriptions is that this beach had tons of sea glass! In our short stay we found over 100 pieces and my 4 year old was absolutely delighted scouring the beach for it. There are also tide pools less than a five minute walk from the house. These two things made the stay quite magical for my kids. Otherwise the location is great and the house was very clean. I appreciated the bed on the first level having a trundle as well as a door at the top of the stairs for safety. The house is minimally decorated which is honestly a plus when you don’t have to worry about your kid breaking nicknacks on coffee tables. A few nice throw blankets and nicer glassware would have added to the stay though. Overall we were very happy with this property.

We very much enjoyed staying in Meredith’s place. The cottage is surrounded by trees so it feels secluded and peaceful. The cottage is elegantly decorated; there were so many nice books around which we enjoyed checking out. Meredith was so nice and responsive. We will definitely go back.

We had such a fantastic stay at this special home right on the river in lovely Mystic! It came stocked with everything we needed for a fun couple’s getaway. Gerard was so friendly and accommodating - we felt right at home. Can’t wait to return!

This place has so much charm! Clean. Comfy beds and linens. Well stocked kitchen. Everything you nee to feel right at home. Very safe neighborhood.

A truly lovely spot! Quiet, relaxing and comfortable. We enjoyed the view of the water, reading on the patio in the lounge chairs and sitting on the bench overlooking the beach. We would love to come back again.

Peaceful and beautiful water views. We enjoyed relaxing on the deck and the kids loved playing in the water and on the sand bar despite the rocky beach. The house was welcoming and well stocked. It was very warm especially upstairs and took a while to cool down even with all the wall units on. The host was helpful and responsive whenever we reached out. Overall it was a lovely getaway spot!

This beautiful piece of heaven was better than we could have imagined. As beautiful as the pic are, they don't do justice to the serenity of this property. Our group already decided to come back again. Michelle was lovely and thoughtful. The house was stocked with all the essentials and more. The coziness was unbeatable. We had the best weekend with the best friends.

We had a fabulous weekend at this lovely cottage. Located on a remote peninsula surrounded by the glistening water we couldn’t have asked for a nicer experience. The amenities were both convenient and thoughtful. Although we chose to dine out, the kitchen was very modern with upscale appliances and an espresso machine. We did bbq on our last night and had a great end to our 4 night stay!

Wonderful bay side cottage! Stayed here for a long weekend with my husband and in laws. It’s a great location!! Water views, walkable cute neighborhood, and 20 mins from some of the bigger towns (Jamesport & Greenport) Place was clean and a fully stocked kitchen made it easy to stay in and grill out.
