Cozy space , very close and convenient to outings. Luckily there wasn’t snow to drive up the mountain, it can get foggy tho but nothing that can’t be handled with safety. Definitely recommend :)

Absolutely perfect spot for a ski getaway. We had a blast at Beech Mtn and loved being able to snuggle up next to a real fire after a wonderful day of skiing

This place was peaceful with beautiful views. We loved getting to sit outside on the balcony in the morning and drink coffee and read. It was lovely getting to open the windows and let the breeze come in through the screens. Also it is the PERFECT location if you are attending a wedding at the Overlook Barn.

We had a great stay!! Everything was just as described! Perfect distance to sugar and beech for skiing! We hope to be back soon!

Place was as described, great views! The employees of the building were very nice and helpful. The shuttle driver was great! She was very nice and told history of the condo, always quick to pick up drop off no issues there. The amenities were also very enjoyable, two hot tubs and two sauna/spa areas if you wanted privacy. Condo views were great and the place was very clean. Beds were comfortable. We are already thinking of doing this again next year, the skiing was very fun and we got a good snow 2-4inches one afternoon as well.

The place was amazing and comfy, my family loved the view from the apartment and we spent a great time in Grandfather Mountain! The host was very kind and really helpful. We’d love to rent this place again in the future — (10/10)

Great place to stay in a beautiful area.

Scott did a great job and the unit was well appointed. The balcony was a nice morning option and have stocked coffee and sugar is always appreciated. Pro Tip: The lift outside the balcony is the top of a blue run so plan to drop off beginner skiers at the lodge to warm up. There is nothing like taking the last lift of the day all the way up this ski in ski out condo.

Stephanie's home was very comfortable, with plenty of space, great amenities, and incredible views. I'd highly recommend it for anyone looking to stay at Sugar Mountain.

What a great place! Also the host was very kind and great communication! Very nice place and only 10 minutes from Sugar Mountain. Wonderful amenities including pool, hot tub, sauna, library, shop, workout room etc etc. Only (potential) issue which is no fault of the owners is that this is a large 10 story condo complex. On busy days, especially around the weekend it can get very busy during check in and check out and you have to park outside of the guard shack and get shuttled back to the condo. Again, we didn’t really have much of a hang up but others did-just something to keep in mind. Fantastic place, and well equipped! Thank you again!

It was our second time staying Jennifer and David. It was a great experience again. We will be back next year.

We really loved our stay! The house was clean and beautifully decorated. Great views of Hawksnest snow tubing (which was a fun activity). The house had everything we needed — comfortable beds, plenty of blankets, fireplace and fire pit, a stocked coffee bar, and plenty of parking. The kids loved the bunk room and game room. The balcony has a lot of comfortable seating as well. The hosts were incredibly gracious and kind, as well as available if we needed them. Thanks for the wonderful stay!!

We booked this house last minute, on the drive up, after our previous booking was damaged in a storm. Check in was easy and the place was ready to go. The house itself was a lot of fun. We enjoyed the workout area, hot tub and tons of games as well as a 3 minute drive to the ski resort. It was everything we were looking for.

We loved our stay here. We traveled to Banner Elk for a wedding with a group of friends. There was plenty of space, comfortable beds, enough and enough dishes for a big crowd. There were lots of games to keep every one entertained, and a lovely porch with plenty of seating. The house itself was clean when we arrived and looked just like the photos. The natural light is incredible! It was also great to be at the top of the hill away from other houses. It felt very private. The organization in the kitchen wasn't the best, and there weren't clear linens to use on the pull out sofas. Other than that, our stay was lovely, the rental company accommodated our needs and was responsive! We'd definitely stay here again.

Really enjoyed our stay. The place makes you feel at home. Very convenient to everything you need. Will be back!

Had another enjoyable week at Ross’s Retreat. So much room to relax and enjoy the beautiful lake & Mountain View’s. The 2 kayaks always a plus. Hopefully will be back again next year. Thanks again.

Great place to stay even in the winter ! Walk to the gym and clubhouse or take a short drive to the indoor pool. Great location for skiing or trails, or a quick trip to Blowing Rock.

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful cabin! It was just the two of us, but a large family or a few couples would easily enjoy the space. The views were great, the hosts were responsive and kind, the hot tub was huge, the home itself was beautiful and spacious. We are very thankful to have found this cabin at the lastttt minute after a cancellation from another host. Feel very blessed this is where we ended up for a nice weekend away to spend some time together. 11/10 would recommend!
