Shepherds hut holiday rentals in Sedgemoor

Had the best couple of days staying at the hut, was greeted by Alexandra who was extremely friendly and helpful she showed us the facilities and hut. hut itself was a lovely little place, we could've happily stayed for longer. If we are ever back in the area we would definitely stay again, thanks so much :)

Sam's place was a joy to stay at! It's an annexe of an old house on the high street with a lovely bedroom overlooking a courtyard and a spacious living room and kitchen area which overlook the garden. The garden is full of fruit trees and wonderful plants and is very well tended. A bathroom and a second toilet made getting out in the morning easy as well. Castle Cary is a wonderful town (recommend the Somerset Wine Company and the Gallery which Sam and his wife run!) We did use the jacuzzi (for an additional fee) and sitting in there listening to the live jazz from the bar and looking at the stars was a dream. We made a new friend in Bobby (the dog) who just wanted to play fetch Loved our night there and would happily return!

We had the best time here! Penny and Ant were so welcoming and kind. They gave us maps and recommended nice walks in the area which was so helpful. The shepherds hut itself was perfect, really cosy with the wood fire stove and great selection of games. It has everything you need, nice hot shower and Penny provides delicious breakfast food and scones. Such a special place, can’t recommend enough!

Amazing stay at Mark’s shepherds hut. Incredible location, super peaceful and as described. Well kitted out. We had a lovely BBQ and enjoyed some marshmallows say around the fire. The abbey nearby was worth a visit and had a swim in the river. Would definitely visit again. Thanks Mark.

The Shepherd's Hut was a very comfortable and convenient stay for our needs. The interior is very cute and the theme is applied perfectly. Nice to be on the edge of a working farm. The escapee ducks were a highlight. Communication with Mandy was easy. We would come back.

The 2 ladies that greeted us upon check in were friendly and helpful. the campsite is clean, peaceful, tranquil. plenty of toilet/shower blocks which were clean, modern and accessible whenever my family needed. all guests very friendly. as for the shepherds hut, it was warmer then expected with plenty of room and storage under the main double bed. mattress very comfortable and 2 single beds which could fit up to 5ft 2 child on comfortably. if your on a budget i would recommend arranging food (there is 2 electric hob perfect for pasta) as a family of 4 we walked to nearest pub restaurant st peters finger, was nice but pricey and limited menu. highly reccommended for short stay (1/2 nights) with local links for things to do

Couldn’t rate this place highly enough! Would give 6 stars if I could. From the beautiful location to the friendly hosts, this was a perfect weekend getaway. Mariana and Jamie were so helpful throughout, gave us great recommendations for local places to eat, and the adorable Miss Moneypenny coming to say hello were just a few reasons this place was amazing. Would love to come back!

We had the most wonderful stay at this beautiful shepherd’s hut! I booked it as a birthday treat for my boyfriend the night before our flight from Bristol airport and it was absolutely perfect. Charlie & Carol went above and beyond. They left birthday banners, a card, chocolates, and a bottle of Prosecco, which was such a lovely and thoughtful touch. The hut itself was cosy, clean, and full of charm, with everything we needed for a relaxing night. The outdoor bath was a real highlight with the peaceful countryside all around us. The views were stunning, with a field of cows right in front of us adding to the calm atmosphere. Only 15 minutes from the airport, it was the perfect combination of convenience and tranquillity. We couldn’t have asked for a better start to our trip. Highly recommend!

We had a very relaxing stay, the location is so pretty, the hut is set in a great sized garden, which is not overlooked at all. It is close to a cafe and gorgeous gift shop, and a short walk to the village shops and pub. We had a fire pit both nights and just relaxed. Andrea was great and recommended the Somerset Cider Bus which was a 10 minute drive away, and that was a lot of fun, that's on every Saturday until Autumn. Andrea was friendly, helpful and a great host. We even bought some of their stone carvings. The hut itself is awesome, with a great eye for detail, it is a beautiful place to stay, you won't be disappointed.

A wonderfully peaceful two night stay in lovely wooden shepherds hut set amongst the tree’s. The hut was super cosy with everything we needed, plus a great size comfortable bed. Lovely view over the countryside, we really enjoyed being able to sit outside watching nature. Host was spot on, fantastic communication and very accommodating. Loved the screenshot walking guide, we followed it and it led us to the pub so we were very pleased! Some treats were left for us, the farm shop muesli was absolutely delicious so thank you for that.

Such an idyllic location and probably the best Shepherds hut and location we’ve stayed in. Even with mixed weather it’s so cosy with a little fire or relaxing in the hot tub under shelter. Highly recommend and such welcoming hosts too. Well be back again for sure.

We booked this absolute beautiful shepherds hut for a long weekend, and it couldn’t have been a better place to spend our time. The hut is super remote from their house, nice and peaceful with its own bbq and fire pit, a gorgeous little wooden swing, and lots of nature. The location is amazing, within 3 minute walk from the most stunning coastal scenery around. A nice little walk along the coastal path into Lynton, about 15 minutes. There is an oil space heater for the cabin, which severed us perfectly as it’s a small space to heat at night. Alex was super kind and responded instantly, let us checkin early and left us to it, other than when we needed more logs to burn. 🔥 Overall it was exactly what we wanted and wished we’d stayed an extra third night. Recommend the Rising Sun in Lynmouth, head chef is a former master chef winner 🏆

5 stars for this peaceful off-grid Airbnb, it was an absolute delight. The experience truly put me at one with a simpler way of life and nature. Waking up to the sound of the dawn chorus each morning was magical, and I didn’t miss the modern world for a second. The surrounding countryside is absolutely breathtaking, with plenty of beautiful walks and hidden spots to explore. It was the perfect place to slow down, unwind, and reconnect with what really matters. I’ll definitely be returning!

Wow wow wow! Headland hideaway is stunning! Absolutely gorgeous, Mike was amazing!!! Messaged every day to check all is okay, send photos of the signpost where to turn and exactly where to park etc. his food recommendation were helpful and stop on! Tried lots and all were amazing! The pool was the biggest hit and we were so lucky when we stayed we had amazing weather! Everything was spotless and modern, loved the remote control curtains! A fabulous half term dreamy weekend! Thank you so much Mike! It was an absolute pleasure!

Absolutely amazing place to stay. Even better than the pictures. After having stressful Jons as a nurse and firefighter it’s amazing at how relaxed and distressful it was. Having the bath outside you don’t feel overlooked or watched in. Andrew and his wife has thought of everything, all I would say is take a tripod for your phone as you will want to take so many pictures. Would 100% stay here again and definitely recommend to family and friends

Had a wonderful stay. The shepherds hut had everything we needed for a peaceful retreat and yet was near the beach and some great market towns. The outside space was lovely especially the hot tub overlooking the lake. Would definitely recommend.

What a wonderful stay! We have stayed at many Devon based shepherds huts but this was our favourite so far. Modern, charming, clean and a beautiful view. Not to mention the relaxing tub outside with water jets. Very relaxing!

Great little hide away, the cabin was tidy and spacious even with the bed down. The fixtures are beautiful and the dimmer switch really adds another level of chill to the space. would definitely recommend for a relaxing romantic getaway for couples!

Our stay at the Shepherds hut exceeded our expectations. It was beautiful inside and out, spotlessly clean, tasteful decor and had everything we needed for a relaxed and pleasant stay. The view was stunning and Lacock is 15 min walk away. We were fortunate with the weather but it would still be great in the cold or rain. Our host Dilly was lovely and would definitely stay there again. Highly recommend.

We had the most wonderful stay in this charming shepherd’s hut. It was warm, beautifully decorated, and perfectly peaceful. The highlight was definitely the hot tub — relaxing under the stars was such a treat. And the baby goats! They were absolutely adorable, playful, and made the whole experience feel even more special. We loved spending time with them and couldn’t stop smiling. A perfect little getaway for anyone needing some rest, fresh air, and a touch of countryside magic.

Absolutely wonderful stay. Perfect little location to relax and switch off. Surrounded by beautiful views. We had a pink sunset on our first night, this was absolutely stunning to see whilst sat in the hot tub looking over Bath. You’re so close to nature yet so close to the city centre. Natasha and James were such lovely hosts, friendly, accommodating and responsive. We will definitely stay here again. Thank you!!
