Holiday rentals with a sauna in Sedgemoor

We stayed in apartment 38 for a week in July 2021. It exceeded my expectations and the pictures do not do it justice (the pictures make it look a bit dated but it really isn’t). It is a lovely 3 bed apartment - very clean throughout. The bedrooms and bathroom are on the first floor and the stairs lead up to the living area and kitchen! The kitchen comes with a fridge, dishwasher, cooker and oven. You also get all your basic cooking utensils and dishes alongside cleaning products including dishwasher tablets. One thing I would suggest is taking some tupperware to store your food in or if you want to make a picnic. The description also stated they provided cooking oil - but there wasn’t any - so it’s worth taking some if you want to make a full english in the morning. We ordered a Tesco online shop which was delivered straight to the apartment without any problems. Note, the pools (indoor and outdoor) are not heated so can be quite cold. The indoor pool area is a bit tired looking with the paint peeling off the floor - but the kids still had a fab time. The gym is also well equipped with weight and cardio machines…but again some of the padding on the machines are a bit worn. Overall we had a fab time, the views are amazing. Meadfoot beach is literally on the doorstep and the town is only a 15min walk away. Paignton beach (10min drive) is great for the kids if you want a bit more hustle and bustle i.e. Pier with arcades and fairground. Also recommend The Inn on the Green for lovely pub grub - they are directly opposite the Paignton pier and the staff were fab too.

Really lovely place to stay, would definitely stay here again! Only thing to be aware of is the hot tub takes a very long time to heat up (4+ hours) so just be mindful of that if you want to use it. Pool and sauna were lovely and had them to ourselves the time we used it which was great. Overall a very clean and tidy place would definitely recommend!

Place is lovely and quiet on a country lane. Owners Mark and Lavinia are very helpful and friendly. Loved the peacocks and their dog Lyra. Great location to drive out each day to explore the area from Bath up to the Cotswolds.

Aaron had made sure we had everything we needed including phone chargers which came in handy. The flat was very spacious, homely and well located. As a host Aaron was quick to respond to any questions we had. Overall a great stay.

Miranda’s place is a gem; tranquil self-contained flat with everything you need, plus many extra special touches, set in a beautiful garden surrounded by stunning countryside. This is the perfect place to rest and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature. There are endless amazing walks and activities nearby and further afield in the Forest of Dean and major supermarkets and other shops only 20-30 minutes drive away. We received a warm welcome from Miranda and Mark and Miranda went out of her way to recommend walks and other local activities and to make sure we were comfortable. Her work is fascinating and she was generous in sharing a glimpse of that and in accessing us to her gorgeous horses and to produce growing on the farm. Looking forward to a return visit!

We loved the apartment, immediately felt at home. Unusual artefacts give it a special feeling, and signs of family life make it welcoming - you don't feel you're renting. The sitting room is huge with comfortable sofas and armchairs, and shelves full of books to read. There's a dining room and two bedrooms and two bathrooms but, alas, my only criticism, only one toilet. I'd do away with the sauna and put in a toilet instead. The kitchen is really well equipped with everything you could possibly need. The Upgrade Authority is very efficient - I blew a fuse using the toaster and it was fixed immediately. The area is lovely, a village suburb, with a mix of shops, takeaways, restaurants, and traditional pubs. We hope to return.

Our stay was amazing, very quiet, beautiful surroundings, the Property was much bigger than expected we made use of the spa and sauna. Felt very relaxed after our stay. Thank you.

I had a birthday weekender with friends and the apartment is really lovely and suited us perfectly. Not just clean, but comfortable too with everything you need. The host is great and helpful. It all made the stay so much more enjoyable. 100% would recommend.

Awesome location and full length swimming pool with Sauna. Only a 15 min walk into Swanage, beautiful castle only 10 min away and views of the sea. Fantastic full size swimming pool and sauna, our 8 and 10 year old loved it. We weren't able to use the snooker table due to the age of our kids and the lounge is not the most sociable set up for the evenings but the swimming pool made up for it ;-)

The location was within walking distance of most of the places we wanted to go. Having off-street parking is an absolute bonus in Exeter, and having room for 2 cars was fantastic. The proeprty has been modernised, itwas clean with good natural light and was excellent value. If we require accommodation in Exeter again, we would be trying to book here again

We had a great stay. My kids loved the pool and hot tub. The apartment was really nicely furnished, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. We would look to book again.

what a great location, so peaceful and quiet. the space was quirky but comfortable and made the short stay quite entertaining. The grounds were very well maintained and it was a pleasure to walk around.

Wow what a place. Every bit of it was perfect just as we imagined. The little girls loved every moment as it gave them the cottage feel they were thinking of. I must say the place is very well equipped, Justine has added small touches like towels, hand wash, shampoos, ear buds, candles. You don’t normally expect them but very well equipped. It literally feels like you’re at home, I’m glad we made this choice. There was an onsite sauna which we didn’t get to use but looked really cool. Maybe on our next visit we will get to use it.. The outdoor garden was magical, nice breezy, birds tweeting, just absolutely beautiful. Well done Justine to you and your partner for having a lovely place. Me and my partner loved the property and the town. It was amazing and so relaxing. The fire in the living room was a lovely touch for them cold nights and the hot tub was lovely with a glass of vin. Will definitely be coming back for sure! Thank you x

We stayed here to celebrate my Dad’s 70th birthday as a family. The house is absolutely beautiful, it’s very clean and the interior suits the surroundings perfectly. The view of the water is stunning and so lovely to look at first thing in the morning! I would highly recommend. There’s also lots to do on site which is real bonus. We walked to the local pub, the Bakers Arms which we’d highly recommend for a short but pleasant walk. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Amazing place! Perfect location for a family holiday. The house has absolutely everything you need and more. We really enjoyed sea kayaking and paddle boarding with all Daves's kit. The sea is so close you can carry everything down to the shore. We really loved the hot tub and sauna and bbq area. The games room was a great space for the kids to hang out and play as well as the adults. We couldn't have wanted more. We'd wholeheartedly recommend this amazing house.

This has to be the most eclectic house we have stayed in as a family, but it provided constant entertainment and sparked imaginations. There is lots of room inside for 9 people a dog and a baby. The separate dining area and sittings rooms allowed people to be together and have private time. The garden area available was small for a large gathering but Barry was willing to open up further garden to us on asking. The sauna was a nice touch. There were enough bathrooms and the kitchen was equipped and functional The house is old as it says in the descriptions so if you have difficulty climbing stairs it would not be for you. The layout and contents of the house are not toddler friendly. There is no onsite parking, but the car park is a short distance away. The village is quaint and the coop very near by. We can recommend the tea shop, and would recommend booking early is you want to eat in the pub next door. There are lots of walks nearby and buses to other villages.

Indeed Jamie and Sara's place, is different, full of mod cons, yet cozy and relatable. The sunsets from the vast windows were glorious and the array of games were both challenging and fun. The only minor drawback (though we found a solution) was that the stylish bathroom floors up stairs were too slippery after a (lovely) shower, so we used the down stairs one, in which the floor was more textured (and more older person friendly....) All in all a lovely experience. Thank you!

Sabrina n Rich were amazin .and helped with anything we needed . The cottage was amanin had everything we needed .. The only thing i think they need is a welcome pack so u can have a coffee or tea wen u arrive xx Other wise the hole place is amazin pool hot tub n sauna was great to be able to use them n a games room too..ty u so much for avin us we had an amazin time xxx

We had a lovely stay, the property was very clean and comfortable and it felt like home. Very peaceful with beautiful views. Easy walk into the centre of Chudleigh where you will find several good pubs.
