Holiday rentals with a washing machine and dryer in Schroon Lake

Audrey’s Porcupine Farm Barn was the perfect place for us and our pup to get some respite from our day to day grind. With scenic vistas outside our window the space was an ideal blend of rustic and comfortable, and Audrey was around to answer any questions and assist us whenever we needed. We would absolutely stay again - and hopefully will soon!

I'm always happy when a place looks like the pictures, but this apartment was even better. It was more spacious than it looked in the pictures, and everything was perfect - spotlessly clean and ready for us to move in for our short 2-night stay. We arrived earlier than check in and were able to get in early, which was SO nice - we were on bikes and it was raining. It's always nice to "land" at the end of a long day on the bike, so getting in early was really appreciated. The apartment also has lots of nice touches that clearly have guests in mind - hooks in the bathroom, living room and bedroom for coats and towels, etc., detergent to do laundry, a table to play games (nice on a rainy day!), televisions in both the living room and bedroom, great dishes and silverware, lamps with plug openings for all our charging needs. It's hard to overstate the case - this apartment was super!

My sister and I travel to this area often and this is our new favorite spot when we need somewhere that’s big enough for just us two. It was so clean and new feeling, the beds were comfortable and having two bathrooms (one is a half bath) was perfect when we needed to get ready! The host Angela was responsive and did a in person checkin for our first visit which was super helpful. We would 100% come back and will be hoping to book this spot again for our next trip! One note for those who are lighter sleepers, the spot is near a small intersection and while it didn’t bother us you will hear cars and I suggest just ear plugs for sleep as it’s a great spot!

Such a clean and cozy place to enjoy the Adirondacks from. For the active type who like to hike, bike, ski, etc, the huge garage on the first level is perfect for storing gear securely and drying out wet or muddy clothes. The apartment itself is in a great location. It’s in a quiet neighborhood but only a 7 minute walk from Main St. From a well stocked kitchen with fresh creamer for coffee to extra towels, we had everything we needed. Will definitely stay again.

Ideal, beautiful location for visiting Middlebury and this gorgeous region of Vermont. The setting by the river is stunning and soothing. The unit is very comfortable and has everything you need. The host is gracious and welcoming. We feel so fortunate to have found this lovely location!

We loved staying at Porcupine cabin and look forward to renting again in the future. The host was so nice and communicative during our stay - she even left snowshoes for us to use! We will be inquiring about the attached house to stay with our whole family, but the little cabin was perfect for a weekend getaway from the busyness of life. The cabin had everything we needed and was exactly as described. It was so cozy and we even had snow while we were there, which was exciting for us since the area we come from didn’t really have snow this year. This was our first time renting an Airbnb and we couldn’t be happier with our experience. ☺️

We were in an upper unit, and it was clean, and had everything we needed to be comfortable. We stayed Memorial Day weekend and the weather was rainy so we were not able to utilize the back patio or side deck. There were games to play. Wifi worked well. We also had free access to Amazon Prime and other Apps on the Roku. It was about a 25 min drive to Lake George, the Adirondack Museum is about an hour drive, and planned for our rainy day trip. The beds were comfortable. The first night the bottom unit, had a beeping noise from a fire alarm, and we could hear it in the main areas. The rooms were quiet, and except for the occasional car driving by. There are white noise machines in each room, and we are used to sleeping with a fan, and fans for each room. We slept well and rested. The boat area is around the corner and there are directions to get there. The dock was not set up yet, if it had been dry you could have set up a fire.

We had a great time over a holiday weekend! The house was close to a few places to get necessities and a few places to eat. It was within a half hour to a few ski areas also, which was the main plan of our trip. The house was beautiful and clean. Thr sauna and hot tub were great features of the home. We got a good amount of snow while there and Julian was quick to keep us updated on having the driveway plowed. The area is beautiful wotha lake view. The house had plenty of space and bathrooms for our two families. Everything was clean and in goof shape when we arrived.

A perfect fit for a family fishing trip/getaway to the Adirondacks. The house had the perfect mix of rustic and modern amenities to accommodate the 70 year old and the 6 year old and everyone in between. A washer and dryer and gas fireplace was perfect to dry off and warm up after a day out fishing in the rain. We would love to come back again.

We have been coming to Lake Placid for 15 years and this was by far the best house we’ve ever stayed in. Jonathan has thought of everything. There was no amenity we thought was missing. The house was immaculate. The property is beautiful and spacious; we had no issue accommodating 7 adults. Next time we come back to Lake Placid we will definitely be reserving this house again.

We just returned from the Americade Motorcycle Rally. The location was very nice - the unpaved portion to the house a bit challenging on a motorcycle but we got used to it. Very nice and private. Home as described. The hosts are extremely responsive and helpful. Enjoyed our stay.

Host response time was exceptional, Directions and local tips excellent. The house was CLEAN. We stayed in winter surrounded by over three feet of snow so there wasn’t too much opportunity to adventure out on the property, but the views from within the warmth of the house were beautiful. The kitchen was well stocked, everything placed thoughtfully and convenient. Kids loved the game room. We brought a Roku and enjoyed family movies while wood burning stove toasted the rooms. Bedrooms large and comfortable. The drive was plowed and easily managed despite all the snow. Only 17 minutes from Gore Mountain, we felt happily lost in the deep Adirondacks. Would recommend and come back. Thanks Alex and Suzette!

Amy and Ryan’s home was such a joy! Very well appointed with almost everything you could think of needing, such a cute aesthetic and in a great location. Amy went above and beyond and gave tons of local recommendations that were open during our stay. Highly recommend!

The place was perfect for 2 couples looking to spend a weekend in the beautiful Adirondack trails. If you want to save on food (cook by yourself I mean) and be within a 25min drive of everything, this is perfect. Thanks Vinny!

Gary's place had everything we needed for our ski vacation in Lake Placid! The location is very convenient and the view towards the mountain is beautiful. We truly enjoyed our stay and will happily return.

An absolute dream! This experience was top notch from the moment I clicked on the listing. Responsive host, clear directions, timely reminders and updates...the list goes on and on. And the space itself was even better than the pictures. The location was quiet and walking distance to the lake. The home was spacious and well laid out...and spotless clean from top to bottom. Every room was perfectly appointed with all the little, but important, things that you need to feel at home. My family and I are already talking about another trip!

Nicest bnb we have stayed at in placid! We had the grounds to ourselves and enjoyed sitting by the lake the first night before it rained the rest of the weekend. The place was cozy and the fireplace was nice for the rainy days. I appreciated the snacks and drinks in the room too!

Condo matches the pictures, but the view is far better than the pictures. Very comfortable space and open floor plan. Kitchen was well stocked, we cooked in a couple nights and had everything we needed to prep meals. Having three full bathrooms was great (we had 4 adults and two kids). Easy walk to the middle of town and all the restaurants/shops, but far enough away that it didn’t feel busy. Coffee on the balcony was an amazing way to start the day. We’ve been going to lake placid for 20+ years and have stayed many places - this is one of the best views we’ve had while still being right in the village. Highly recommended.

Our family really enjoyed our stay at Kathy's! The place was very clean and comfortable, and there was plenty of room for the 6 of us. The kitchen was well stocked, and all linens were fresh. The location was very convenient to all that Lake Placid has to offer but also removed just enough to have some quiet time away from the bustle of all the shops. We will definitely stay here again if we return to Lake Placid in the future. I highly recommend!

This spot was so much bigger than we expected! It had everything we needed and it was soooo cozy! The walk to Lisa G’s was so short - it was amazing. The basement was awesome since we had kids and they had their own area to hang and everything was so quiet - we couldn’t hear each other or them through the walls or on different floors. It was very comfy, large, and the location was perfect!

My husband and I had a lovely stay and the host RJ made sure all our needs were met. We would love to come back in the summer and see some more of Lake Placid from RJ’s little piece of heaven.
