Captain's House | Monte Grosso, Elba

The Casa del Capitano is located on the top of Monte Grosso in the National park of the tuscan archipelago. Studio apartment in the center, renovated and furnished with independent entrance, air conditioning, washing machine, Smart TV, perfect for a relaxing vacation without moving the car much. The white beaches can be reached on foot in 15 minutes, (Ghiaie beach) just 5 minutes from the bus stops and the shuttle service to the other beaches, restaurants and activities are very close. It is a 13-minute walk from the ferries, also great for quick stays in the winter.

Bar 50 m away, many restaurants 150 m away. Apartment also suitable for those traveling without a car, bus stop 100 m away. Strategic location for visiting the Calamita mines, excellent solution for motorcyclists and cyclists. Free municipal motorcycle parking very close 10 m away. The sunset in the evening from the terrace is beautiful. It has no heating. From 10/01 to 10/04/21 there are ordinances that limit traffic and roads closed due to sporting events.

We had an absolutely amazing stay at this property! The location was perfect—peaceful, yet close to everything. I stayed at Daniela's with my partner for two weeks, she is the husband, very kind and discreet people, available in every way. The accommodation is located in a very nice village, quiet, ideal for a relaxing holiday and 5 minutes from Magazzini beach. The proximity to Portoferraio, Porto Azzurro and Capoliveri is a small plus.

A wonderful stay. June month ideal to stay in Elba, as it is not too crowded. Ideal house for two people. Beautiful view from the terrace, equipped with a coffee table and chairs. Ability to have breakfast and dinner on the terrace enjoying beautiful sunsets and the singing of birds. The only drawback is the sofa bed with a thin and spring mattress that is uncomfortable for elderly or very heavy people. Easy to reach in about 20 minutes by car all the most beautiful beaches of Elba: Sansone, the Sorgenti, the lover, Fetovaia, Cavoli, Le Ghiaie. Bagnaia is very nice, with a nice children's playground, municipal relaxation area, supermarket and restaurants and several bars. Cute marina with the possibility of renting various types of boats. 10 minutes by car Portoferraio with many supermarkets and all kinds of goods.

Stay with the family (3 people) for 8 days in August. Cozy atmosphere, string lights on the beautiful terrace on arrival. Views of the mountains and the port of Portoferraio. We felt very welcome and right at home. The whole house looked fresh and was extremely clean. Kitchen well equipped, even cocktail mix accessories, large fridge. The existing coffee machine is a Nespresso system. Some coffee capsules and tea were provided upon arrival. Bathroom quite warm, but the bedrooms are cool due to the excellent quiet air conditioning. Comfortable beds. 2 large terraces, so you can find a pleasant place at any time of the day. Ping pong table and rackets/ balls are present. Outlets of all types and adapters are provided. Mosquito repellent is provided. Very thoughtful place to stay with everything you need.

The apartment is located in a more than quiet area about 10 minutes from Portoferraio. The location is excellent, immersed in greenery, breakfast and dinner on the balcony, always ventilated, excellent temperature in July. In the apartment I would say that there is nothing missing, it is well-stocked and well cleaned. Cristina was more than helpful, kind and flexible to our needs. Nearby, if you do not want to make great trips (which in Elba are perhaps at most an hour) there are many beaches that can be reached in 15 minutes. Outside the property is ample parking and the complex is really very quiet. More than positive experience to redo, we hope, in the next few years!
