The Casa del Capitano is located on the top of Monte Grosso in the National park of the tuscan archipelago. The house was restored during a project lasting several years, in close collaboration with the National Park and was designed to be self-sufficient and ecological. The house is located in the historic center of Portoferraio, in the upper part of the city, inside the Medici walls, built by Cosimo de' Medici in 1548, Grand Duke of Florence, descendant of Lorenzo de' Medici. Here the true Elban spirit still survives today. The house is a 40 sqm two-room apartment, with two small bedrooms, a living room, kitchenette and bathroom. It has all the amenities, such as air conditioning, a washing machine, dishes, and a water storage tank if needed.
