Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Sassi di Matera

Phenomenal location with beautiful views. Accommodations were great and communication with host was easy. I locked us out of the apartment and host was there very quickly to let us in. We rented a car and the parking is quite expensive and confusing, which our host notified us about. I would definitely recommend Daniela’s place and would come back again. It’s a very local feel, but close enough to be in the “thick of things”.

Great stay in a quiet yet convenient location. Parking was easy to find nearby, and the apartment is an easy stroll to the main square, the Duomo and down to the Sassi. Very comfortable stay for four adults and Alessandro was accomodating with an early check in and great restaurant recommendations. Had a marvellous few days.

The location was fantastic - right around the corner of the Duomo, heart of Sassi. We got breakfast vouchers from the host, which we could use at the cafe nearby. Nino was friendly host and always available when we needed him!

Had a great stay in Matera and the view from the apartment is amazing - great by day but even more so at night. It is also well located in that it is just inside the old town, but not too far from the paid underground car parks if you are driving, so we didn't have to wheel our bags too far, plus there is a supermarket just a few minutes walk away. Would recommend Matera as a place to visit and also Giovanni's apartment as somewhere to stay.

If you're happy to go through Matera, you have to stop by Angela Maria's place. She is a very responsive and caring host. Don't hesitate to ask him for the good restaurants. We'll definitely go back

We spent a night in Matera at Anna's and we were delighted! The house is located in the center of the city, with a magnificent view of the Sassi di Matera, is easily accessible, and very comfortable! The house is typical, and we emerged in the atmosphere of Matera! I recommend it:)

Luciano is awesome, the apartment is awesome, and Matera is awesome. We stayed for 6 nights and loved every minute! The view of the Sassi from the small balcony is something we spent hours enjoying and will never forget. It was fun to stay in a cave and yet enjoy modern amenities. Luciano left us great reading material about Matera and made excellent recommendations for food and sight seeing. We would not hesitate to stay again if we are lucky enough to come to Italy again. Thank you, Luciano, for giving us the opportunity to experience such a magical place.

Carmelita's place was amazing! located conveniently - walking distance to old town and there are parking spaces around. Carmelita has been super helpful in answering all our questions, would recommend if you are visiting Matera!

Wonderful place in a perfect location and incredible view. It feels like a home away from home with all the little details thought through. Great location outside the pedestrian limited streets for easy luggage drop off, but a very close 5 min walk to get into the heart of Matera. Would definitely stay here again!

Perfect location to explore Sassi, easy parking, walkable, fabulous restaurants recommendations, and every thing was so perfect with welcome fruit, breakfast, coffee, and more. The place is so new and well cared for that 5 star rating is just not enough. Really great experience.

He shared so many local recommendations and went above and beyond in every aspect of ensuring we had a comfortable and wonderful stay. A host that truly wants his guests to feel at home. The property was clean and very-well located just outside the Sassi. You will be happy if you choose to stay at Cosimo's place!

We had an amazing stay at this Airbnb. The host Michela was very helpful and nice throughout the check in process. The apartment was clean and very modern, a huge amount of space compared to other Airbnbs I had stayed in while in Italy. We took a day trip to Matera and it’s about a 30 min drive by car, and it’s very convenient. Additionally the view from the balcony of the apartment in my opinion makes the stay all that much better. Sitting outside is very relaxing as you can view the Italian countryside. 100% worth it. Would stay again.

Beautiful place that is very close to the city center and all of the sights of Matera. You can walk everywhere from the apartment. We especially appreciated private parking, where we could keep our car safe. The host was proactive, helped us park on arrival, and very responsive. Excellent experience, would absolutely stay again.

A wonderful restoration on an old building just beneath the old town. It's a short walk to the point where the main restaurants are. The apartment was spotless and very peaceful.

The 1er Grand Cru of airbnb. In Te Reo Maori has a word to describe care and hospitality, being manaakitanga. Pasquale has this with a strong commitment to his craft of hosting. He spent time orienting us with the area and provided a generous selection of local delicacies. An unobtrusive host with a meticulously appointed property. Emanuele's property was really clean, in good order and well organized. It was very close to the old city and parking around was ok to find ( payable ). There is a park outside and some teens gather and party until night so that made some noise but closing the windows helped a bit. The balcony was really good but had no shade made so kind of useless in the sunny hot weather Overall the property was great for a one night stay Thank you

We had a great stay. The apartment situated in the attic but it was not that bad although we have suitcases, we left them in the trunk, only took necessary items. The apartment has everything we need, more than enough I would say, spacious and comfortable. The area was very quiet. Highly recommended.

We had a lovely stay at Vito's, in a very pleasant apartment to live in and close to the splendid city of Matera. We enjoyed the welcome by the cleaning lady and the breakfast table. We recommend and will happily return if we come back to Matera who delighted us.

This place is worth staying for the host alone but the bonus is also the accommodation has everything you need and is a great space! we stayed as three adults and it suited us really well. Luciano went out of his way to make us feel welcome.
