Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Sassi di Matera

The apartment is as described, very clean. The welcome is very friendly. Breakfast (free) is very hearty. Good bedding. The small town has a very beautiful abbey, we meet people who say "hello", a rather rare thing these days. Great stay, thanks to our host.

The house is very nice, clean and equipped with everything you need. We were in two families and we were very comfortable in the townhouse. Each room has mosquito nets, and air conditioning, the outdoor space is equipped with a table and armchairs for dinners or breakfasts. The village has a shared pool and a tennis court.

Gianlorenzo describes the house as comfortable in the listing, but it's just proof of his class. The house is nothing short of perfect. An authentic experience of immersion in the peace of the Apulian countryside. The farm is beautiful, very well cared for and equipped with anything you may need during a vacation. Gianlorenzo is an exquisite guest, available, but never intrusive. Upon arrival, she welcomes you with her family and also provides you with what you need for the first day, so you don't even have to go shopping as soon as you arrive. The dogs are very good and very well trained, they never disturb you and give you those pet therapy cuddles that increase relaxation (not so much pet, given the size). Dario and his mother are lovely, very attentive and helpful hosts. Communication is exemplary and cordial. The villa is a nice cottage on a small park-like property in a guarded large holiday complex, the Borgo. Within a 50 km radius, you will find many worthwhile destinations. We would gladly come back.

It’s a gem, this appartment. Quiet with a fabulous roofterrace and in about 30 Minutes you are in Matera. Owners are quick responders and gave us usefull (diner)suggestions.

we were very well received with early check-in by Mr. Pino extremely kind and decidedly very detailed in the explanations of the place we had underestimated but that we were useful in our stay in Matera. The area is quiet but to get to the center it is better to get around by car. The apartment is fairly new, super clean and very cool despite the high outdoor temperatures. They also left us everything we needed for breakfast. Overall a great experience, thank you so much!

The location of Flavia's place is incredible and the space itself- wow! To stay in an actual cave is a step back in time, very special. It's spacious and everything was perfect. Flavia was the perfect host, responding quickly to everything we needed, providing local information and more. If you're coming to Matera, you need to stay in this special cave home.

We enjoyed a lot staying in Michele's apartment. It is perfectly located in the historical centre. It was clean and was equipped with everything that we needed for our stay. Furthermore, the price was also really good. All in all, totally recommended for a short stay so as to enjoy the city and its sorroundings.

The apartment is very spacious and pleasantly cool, and an excellent base for visiting Matera and Gravina. It is located on the edge of the cozy centro storico of Altamura. Annamaria and Antonio are perfect hosts, helpful and have plenty of tips for restaurants and attractions. An absolute must!

Host was very kind and helpful. He told us about the local fresh pasta store and provided maps and directions to all the nearby sites. The apartment has everything you need and the secure private parking is great. The apartment is about 15 minutes to the historic downtown and Sassi. This town is like no other. We highly recommend a visit to this location.

This is an accommodation where I felt at home for 3 nights and 4 days. There were plenty of kitchen utensils, and the bathroom was very clean. They even prepared enough fruit and water coffee sweets, so I enjoyed it during my stay.

Roberto is an excellent host who is incredibly helpful and responsive. The apartment has everything you need and is in a perfect location for exploring Matera.

We spent 5 days in the accommodation. It is located in the quiet countryside, and above all perfect for shining throughout the tourist sites of the region. The place is quite recommendable for a family of 4 (I had read in a review that it was a little small for a family of four but it is not). Well equipped kitchen, everything was good for us, I would take over this accommodation without hesitation!

The stay at Masseria Giulia was a very pleasant surprise. We enjoyed a beautiful Apulian farmhouse, excellently furnished and equipped with all comforts. Rich in many outdoor spaces where you can relax and have pleasant moments of conviviality. The location is particularly interesting, as it allows you to easily reach the most beautiful places in Puglia. Germano then proved to be always available and very helpful with his advice. Ultimately, I highly recommend 'Masseria Claudia' as an ideal solution for a stay in Puglia.

Very well located cottage, close to the sea. Our two-week stay at the end of May was very quiet, because the season had not started. The setting is very pleasant, in a very protected pine forest. The cottage is spacious, and very well equipped. The welcome was great, in a perfectly tidy and clean house. The owner and his family are available and very welcoming. Within a 1.5 hour radius, many tourist sites are accessible. I highly recommend it, especially in May and early June, when calm and tranquility are guaranteed. Great experience. Recommended!

It's a perfect place to stay for big group. Large kitchen, dining area and living hall. Giovanni had been a great host. Prepare breakfast every morning and responsive host. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Matera & Alberobello area.

The loveliest house and the sweetest hosts in Italy! We were welcomed with the most amazing lunch of icy prosecco, various delicious dishes based on local produce from Puglia, as well as soft and tasty freshly baked cake. We had informed the host that we had a child of 3 years old and a 6 month old baby, and when we arrived, they had made sure to prepare changing pillows, high chairs, toys and toy blanket, hair bucket, crib, etc., so we had absolutely nothing to think about ourselves - to the very great pleasure of the parents. In addition, the host bought the sweetest gifts for our oldest child of 3 years when we checked out after 18 days in a luxurious and safe environment. We often had contact with the hosts, who really made us feel welcome and comfortable. They provided local recommendations for places to eat, sights, etc., and helped us book a table at a lovely local restaurant. All in all an unforgettable stay! 5 stars to Ottavio and Margherita. We will definitely be back!
