Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Samara Beach

Loved having our own pool to lounge in and cool off during the day. It was clean and well maintained! The view was so beautiful!! I would stay here again!

On this place we really felt at home, and extended a couple more days already after a few days. The studio apartment is so cozy and Thierry and his wife are so nice and very welcoming. Everything is in a short walking distance. The place is very private and quiet even though you live in the heart of Samara. Of course some livemusic plays here and then, but we just loved that and it was never too loud or too late. Amazing private small town spot, we would love coming back and recommend to others, no doubt about that!

We had a great time in Samara! The book of local recommendations was such a nice touch - we loved visiting several of the beaches, restaurants, and stores. It was also lovely having the pool at the house to help with the hot temperatures!

We and our kids (13, 10, 6) took a last minute trip for Spring Break. The house and pool are incredible. The view is amazing. The house is comfortable, private, safe, and well stocked. The host and her team (shout out to Johanna, Elena, and Wagner) were incredible helpful and gracious. They helped to arrange activities, and on of the best meals we had our whole trip was prepared by Wagner and his wife. We recommend and hope to be back soon!

I came to this beautiful place after the passing of my dad, just trying to find a little peace after a really hard moment—and this home was exactly what my heart needed. Surrounded by nature and right by the most beautiful Carrillo beach, it felt like a little pocket of calm and healing. The house itself is peaceful, super comfortable, and even better than the pictures. And Matthias! wow. He was truly spectacular. His communication was top-notch—kind, responsive, and thoughtful from start to finish. I’m so grateful for this space and for the way everything came together. Thank you, Matthias, for helping create such a meaningful and peaceful experience. I’ll never forget it.

Casa Samara was described as family friendly, and it sure was! The kids *loved* the pool and we could walk right out the front gate to the beach. It was about a 25 minute walk (with kids) to downtown Samara. The hosts were so responsive when we extended our stay and needed some clean sheets. All of the rooms had fans and all of the beds had bug nets. 💜

Four of us stayed at the Hidden Jewel and it was absolutely a beautiful spot to mark birthday occasions. The view is amazing and so peaceful. Spotless bbq was a bonus to keep the heat outside. Everything was clean, no clutter and the bedrooms had ample room for clothing. The pool was a real bonus as the weather was very hot so nice to have that to cool off. The one thing we were disappointed in was that we expected the pool to be maintained more often. We realize that this home is high up in the hills and will get debris from all the trees however it sounded like there would be more maintaining of the pool. We only saw the pool maintenance guy once over 9 days.He vacuumed the bottom of pool but never looked at the skimmer. By day 6 of our stay we had so much debris in pool we didn’t want to go in. Also road up to house, definitely need 4 wheel. Many cars could not get up like Uber driver who took us to dinner had to drop us midway along with airport taxi.

Wir haben uns in der schönen casita von cally und scott sehr wohl gefühlt. Auf der Terrasse mit dem pool gegenüber vom Regenwald und trotzdem central in Samara und nicht weit vom Strand konnte man sich wunderbar erholen. Und den brüllaffen und Vögeln zuhören. Sogar ein Kolibri kam zum Grundstück. Cally und scott waren super erreichbar. Ihre Erklärungen bezüglich der Schlösser etc. waren einfach und gut. Insgesamt fanden wir für unseren Geschmack ein paar zu viele Regeln, aber dadurch war auch alles klar. Die Einrichtung des Hauses ist geschmackvoll, was wir liebten.

Muy buena atención por parte de Federico, siempre respondía mis preguntas de formar rápida y amigable. Definitivamente volveré!!

Great little space! Agree with others who mentioned it's close enough to beach to be super convenient but just set back enough it has some peace and privacy, would love to stay again!

Maria and Wolfgang were great hosts, very friendly and helpful. The coral snake shower was excellent, especially after returning from the beach, or simply to cool off. Supermarkets, restaurants and beach are all in easy walking distance.

We had a wonderful stay. The accommodation was lovely and very well equipped for a comfortable stay. We loved the balcony and the beautiful trees and plants surrounding the pool. The swinging chair was a real treat for me. The host was very helpful and responsive to our needs. Everything we needed to be comfortable was provided. It was great having a washer and dryer on site.

Such a gorgeous little spot in the heart of Guiones. Super close to the beach, restaurants and shops, but still tranquil! Check-in was so easy and clear, the communication was immediate, and though I am familiar with Nosara, the host offered a lot of information on the area and resources for potential needs (tours, transport etc.). The place was beautiful, loved the open-air kitchen - fully stocked with all of the appliances and kitchenware one might need. The room and bathroom were immaculate, beautifully designed - loved the bay window day bed! Overall had a wonderful stay, and would absolutely stay here again.

Perfect spot for my me and my two boys during a fantastic week in beautiful Sámara. I don’t think the pics quite do this modern ohana justice- super cool layout and very lush and private surroundings.The compound in this stellar neighborhood is very quiet and friendly, walking distance everywhere, very grateful to have stayed here for our little holiday . Slept like a champ every night, woke up with a coffee on the patio to all the natural glory of Sámara. Salt water pool is sweet, too. A lot of aloha in this abode, safe and secure for your little ones, we had a blast. Gracias Juan Carlos for your hospitality, we hope to come through again.

Casa Mar is the perfect place to stay during your time in Nosara! It is a short ride away from playa guiones and nearby restaurants recommended by Helena! Our stay was a bit longer in Nosara and Helena was extremely communicative with us and helped to ensure we felt right at home! I will definitely stay here again

We had a great time! Its a beautiful place, nicely decorated, very peaceful and an awesome swimmingpool!! We got welcomed by monckeys and Toecans and Motmots. The hosts are quick in responding and very polite (they even give us heads up if there were monkeys around). We really enjoyed our stay and wished we had booked it for a longer time. Not much to add beyond the countless rave reviews here. The restorative and serene view and location is obviously the best quality, but the condo itself is comfortable and offers all the comforts of home as well. We loved the empty beach, the sound of the surf, and the cackle of the tropical birds. If you want crowds and traffic jams, head to Tamarindo. If you yearn for quiet and a vintage Costan Rican experience, I recommend without hesitation.

Had a wonderful stay in Samara for our honeymoon in the Dalia suite! The Congo lounge was a beautiful spot to watch the sunrise in the morning and view howler monkeys in the trees. Beautiful views and a relaxing atmosphere was the standout. The pool was very refreshing on hot afternoons and the property overall was beautiful!

Great stay and very well kept communal property! It was nice to have the pool and yoga/gym area and access to filtered drinking water! Thank you for a great place in Santa Teresa for the night!

I can’t say enough positive things about Tina and Jorg and their place! Looked just like the photos and amenities were as described. During our stay we encountered one of the largest rain storms in the history of Samara! We had some slight water damage on the walls but as soon as I told Tina and Jorg, they were quick to respond and help out. They even went as far to come by the place the next morning with a bottle of wine as an apologetic gesture! Samara is a safe small town with so many restaurants that are all within walking distance of the condo. There is a path that takes you out to the Main Street from the condo, it is a bit of a steep hill but the exercise was much needed after all the food we ate! There’s also a ton of excursion vendors for tours like ATVs and kayaking. I definitely recommend yoga as well as Gusto’s for comfy beach chairs and great service! Tina and Jorg truly went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. We loved our stay. Pura Vida!

Très beau et malheureusement trop court séjour. Le lieu de l'hébergement est très bien situé, au calme et proche de la mer et en même temps à quelques minutes à pieds du centre. Formalités à l'arrivée et au départ clairement communiquées. Tous les équipements nécessaires étaient disponibles y compris les serviettes pour la piscine, laquelle a été vraiment très appréciée et utilisée ! Je recommande vivement ce logement.

Endroit très relax pour terminer un séjour de 15 jours au Costa Rica. Condo très bien situé et avec une vue magnifique sur la mer. Vous pouvez marcher aisément jusqu’à la plage

El lugar cumplió nuestras expectativas , tuvimos la oportunidad de ir caminando a la playa por lo cerca que queda. El acceso fué fácil y hay comercios (restaurantes , coffee shops , supermercados, etc) bastante cerca. Mi esposo y yo la pasamos excelente ! Gracias a ambos por la atención y pronta respuesta.
