We had an amazing stay. Our room was a short, BEAUTIFUL walk to local beaches. Our room was clean and looked just like the photos. We had dinner a lovely dinner at their restaurant, the ceviche was amazing! Overall great experience!

Monte Placido was just what we needed, we had spent 2 weeks in Las Terrenas in an area that was extremely noisy at night and was ruining our holiday. Don and Diana allowed us to move up our reservation and come and relax in their beautiful and tranquil surroundings. It all worked, fantastic views, great pool area, very nice lodging which was well equipped. Transportation was easy enough with local community taxis, moto conchos as well as the on-site transportation option available from Don and Diana. Not to mention the available groceries delivery from the two local markets. Great local beaches and nice restaurants are in Las Terrenas. There is wonderful gardens surrounding this hilltop paradise. All the residences are very private yet it’s a wonderful setting to meet your neighbours as well. All this combined with tons of local knowledge provided by Don and Diana made our time spent there (9weeks) go all too quickly. We would totally recommend this experience. Dan / Janice

I had a wonderful stay at Chalet Tropical! The place was cozy, beautifully designed, and surrounded by nature. It’s a short walk to the beach, and the staff were super friendly. We also took a day trip to Salto El Limón — about an hour’s drive away — and it was absolutely worth it. I’d definitely stay here again!

We did not have the opportunity of meeting the host in person, but she was very responsive and quick to reply. Upon arriving there was no problem in checking in. The location is quite hidden in Puerto Bahia Marina next to the Bannister Hotel, so be cautious not to miss the sign! The accommodation itself was more than satisfying. Airy, spacious and with lots of natural light. We found a very cozy, clean, big home with three bedrooms with 4 queen beds and one large king bed. In addition, it has two large white sofas, which were quite comfortable, too; so you would have another sleeping option. The bathrooms are clean, but make to bring you own toiletries as they are not included. Towels were available. Some maintenance would be necessary as two showers did not have warm water anymore and some doors wouldn't close properly. The kitchen is very big, clean and is fully equipped with plates, pots, pans, cutlery and glasses, and a functioning stove. A mini-market is only a three minute walk away where you can find food, drinks, toiletries and souvenirs to affordable prices. Being part of a hotel you have access to the hotel breakfast and evening restaurants (not included!), which offer good food to reasonable prices. We recommend the pizza and burgers! You can also pay to visit the spa or work out in the hotel gym. You may use all the hotel pool facilities. Our personal favourite was the infinity pool on the frontside of the hotel facing the ocean where you can observe beautiful sunsets and also have bar service. It's free to use the kayaks! It's a private, family- and couple-oriented wellness experience, so if you seek loud parties and music, look elsewhere as it is not well received here. All in all, a great family experience, more than we expected and we left with happy faces.

We had a wonderful stay in Las Galeras at this property. It was close walking distance to a nice beach and a short drive to downtown for restaurants. The place itself was very clean and had everything we needed for a lovely stay.

We loved our stay in Alexia's property! The house was pretty and prettily decorated, clean and the kitchen was well equipped. The kids had a blast jumping into the pool across the house and then running and playing in the beach, 1 min walk down the pathway, so fun! ...and the locals are sooo friendly! I recommend it and plan to go back too!

The room is very well equipped, and everything is exactly as shown in the photo gallery. Keep in mind that there's no stove, and cooking is only done with a microwave. It's incredibly close to such a beautiful beach, and the balcony is only a couple steps away from the Lakeview pool.

Great place to stay at Las Galeras. Not so close to the beach but you do need a scooter or a quad in this place anyway to get around to see the best places anyway. Very peaceful. Great communication with the host. Would recommend to everyone. Loved las Galeras!!!!

We enjoyed our stay at Katherine's place. The place was generally as described, with lovely clean towels and sheets, comfortable beds, spacious and clean, beautiful balcony, basics in the pantry, washing machine and dryer, coded door and stunning rook deck. It was a 5 min walk to the beach and there were two pools for our use (although one of them was closed during our stay due to some water quality issues obv not in Katherine's control!). While the place was beautiful, it could use some maintenance. When we arrived, the AC was not working in one of the bedrooms, 1 of the showers was broken (2 were working, but the shower heads were clogged and the water trickled out), the washing machine could not draw cold water (only hot, so we added water using a bucket), the drinking water came out hot (we would chill it in the fridge to make it cooler) and the primary AC started beeping every 5 mins on our last night. The caretaker addressed most issues, but the communication was delayed.

I had a great one-night stay in La Terrenas at a cozy, clean Airbnb just a short walk to the beach. The host was friendly and the outdoor pool and the restaurant area was a perfect spot to relax. A great choice for a quick, comfortable getaway!

The scenery you get at this apartment is beyond peaceful. It looks exactly like the photos and was definitely worth my visit. With the beach nearby I couldn’t have asked for more
