Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Saint-Laurent-la-Vernède

Due to personal circumstances we had to rearrange this holiday 2 times, of which Remy was very understanding. We booked the villa based on how well the photos looked but were really not ready for just how much better the place was in reality! Le Magnanerie is tucked quietly away in a totally idyllic spot in a gorgeous old French hamlet, boasting the most impressive westerly views across the private pool of the Cévennes, with stunning sunsets. The covered outside area is spacious and perfect to escape the direct summer sun, and the thick stone building is naturally cool. Comfortably set over 3 pretty floors with portable air conditioning in the loft bedroom area. Kids bunk beds are perfectly placed and even though everything is wooden, nothing creaks. Local agent Deborah was very helpful and after driving from the UK, we were pleasantly surprised to have had our best family holiday to date here! We rarely return to holiday destinations, however we will certainly be coming back. Merci

A peaceful oasis, wonderful for relaxing, sun all day, good facilities: terrace with seating, grill and loungers. Here we were able to switch off perfectly. Thank you, Bastien.

Cosy home in a charming village close to uzes and lovely swimming spots. Helpful and welcoming hosts.

C18 mill of great charm, surrounded by lovely garden, all restored and brought to life by Isabelle. Utterly peaceful. Within 10 minutes' drive from unspoilt village with excellent food shopping to provide for delicious meals in the garden, serenaded by nightingale and turtle dove. Bats and tuneful frogs in the evenings. Beautiful walks from the door along dusty lanes with verges full of wild flowers. Avignon, Orange, Glanum, Nimes, Camargue all within driveable distance. Isabelle could not have been more friendly and welcoming and we hope to visit again one day.

The property is lovely and the hosts were very welcoming and respectful and helpful with suggestions. Our only critique would be that the pool whilst lovely is not private and shared with the hosts who admittedly did not use it whilst we were there and if you like me love to cook the oven was portable and a slight challenge to use. The village and walks were incredible and the location near to Uzes, Nimes and Avignon makes for a lovely stay. A big thank you to Pascal and Catherine x

Mas de la Resse is a perfect place to stay that we highly recommend to everyone. The charming house is clean, spacious, well furnished and everything you need is present. The beautiful location, the view, the terrace with the green canopy and the great swimming pool are of course extra bonus points. Magali and Manu are very friendly, attentive and welcoming, with the perfect balance between attention and privacy. They are also happy to give tips for trips in the area. There are beautiful villages and towns in the immediate vicinity and of course there are cities such as Avignon, Nîmes, Arles, St. Remy, Aigues-Mortes, etc. highly recommended. We went on vacation here in 2023 and 2024; it was wonderful!

Served as a lovely base for our family to explore Provence. Was quiet at night and very peaceful. Home is well appointed, though we only used the beds and bathroom. Had everything you’d need to make meals, etc.

Cynthia and Mario's house located in the heart of the village, is beautiful. The old spirit has been preserved and the decoration is of very good taste. The indoor pool can be heated for a fee (reasonable), we enjoyed it extensively. The hosting was friendly and warm. Cynthia has always been responsive and was able to provide us with helpful information about the area. We immediately felt good in this huge house of character, we had so much space for the two of us! Thanks to Cynthia and Mario.

We really enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect, in the beautiful main village square, right in the centre of Uzès. It was peaceful, comfortable and the apartment was bright and cozy. It had a little outdoor balcony which was a nice bonus. We were thrilled to have had the opportunity of staying in this delightful place and the hosts were extremely helpful and friendly. We spent a night in this little corner of paradise! As soon as you arrive, you feel this beautiful, peaceful energy. The owners are very friendly, I highly recommend this place which will have allowed us a nice quiet break 🙏🏼

We had an unexpected break at Cinthia's. Every detail is designed for our well-being. We had a great time sharing and laughing. We discovered lots of relaxation devices that we can easily buy. We weren't able to try everything in 3 days, it's too short. We'll be back, we have to.

The accommodation offered by Marie enjoys a prime location, in the heart of the historic center, in a quiet area. The apartment has a lot of charm, the decor is very neat, very well equipped, and very clean. Free parking "le refuge" a few minutes walk away. We had a great time and would recommend this beautiful place.

This was one of the best Airbnb I have ever stayed at. It was a stylish heaven in central Uzes close to everything but quiet and private with a beautiful courtyard with pool. We absolute did not want to leave. Thank you Sarah and Bonnie

Amaury’s place was stunning and in a great location. The beds were comfortable, the apartment was spacious and clean and it was easy to find and walk from the station. Amaury was responsive and helpful throughout. Would recommend.

We had a great time with the family in this beautiful home. The house is tastefully decorated and very well equipped inside and out. Having bathrooms in every room is a real plus, which greatly facilitated our stay. Emmanuelle, the owner is very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. She is very communicative and has provided us with a wealth of information about what to do in the surrounding area, which allowed us to experience the area optimally. Christophe, meanwhile, was very responsive to our different requests, making our stay even more enjoyable. We highly recommend this rental and hope to have the opportunity to come back someday!

We had a fantastic time staying here. The house is large and spacious with plenty on amenities. The local area doesn't have much to it but the house is nice enough to spend all your time in. Would highly recommend

My family and I had a wonderful stay in St Maximin. The property is even better than the photos portray and is perfect for families of all sizes. We had an extended stay for the month of May and it was very comfortable for the whole month, both in the colder earlier days and the more summer like end of the month. There is also lots to do in the local area, Uzes is a great town with lots of restaurants and a Saturday market which we enjoyed visiting. St Maximin also has two fantastic restaurants and lots of great walks in the surrounding countryside. There are towns to visit like Arles, Nimes or Avignon which are slightly further but well worth a visit. We would very much like to return to the house in the future and would recommend it to anyone thinking of visiting St Maximin and Uzes.

The atmosphere there is really great. It is very quiet and feels like it is in the middle of nature. Nevertheless, the great bakery, a small supermarket and a nice restaurant are within a five-minute walk. The vintage style of the furnishings and the garden with two terraces and a pool make the stay perfect. The pool is even bigger than it looks in the pictures. Lézan is very rural but well suited as a starting point for excursions. Fabrice's tips and hints were very helpful. We felt very comfortable there and there is everything you need for a vacation. Be sure to visit the organic winemaker next door and buy wine!

We had a great time with the family. The house is spacious and very well-equipped. The exteriors are more than pleasant with an outdoor dining area and a BBQ. Many deckchairs around the large pool. It's a haven of peace. Finally, the house is a few minutes' walk from the center of the village, it's a real plus.

We had a wonderful week in Yves's house. It's a great slice of paradise. Beautiful and large swimming pool, on the beautiful river Cèze and an attractively furnished house made for a nice holiday with our friends. The pétanque made it complete! We were also very well received. In short, highly recommended!

This house and the surrounding grounds are amazing. This was the most impressive AirBnB we have ever stayed in. We stayed here for one week for a family gathering. It is as big (or bigger) than the pictures show. The house is beautiful and modern. The grounds are spectacular. They even have 8 small tortoises on the premises which the kids loved to feed. The pool is huge. You feel like you are on the grounds of a palace. Additionally, Najet and her husband were extremely friendly, kind and helpful. I highly recommend this place for a relaxing stay in the south of France.
