Hosts were incredibly accommodating and flexible as to our time of arrival. The cabin had everything we needed and then some. Highlights were the maintained trails through the surrounding woods and the cozy yet open atmosphere of the cabin. Our stay was during some of the hottest days of the year but it seems like it would have been just as lovely in the depths of winter.

We loved our stay at this warm, cozy cabin. It has all that you could need and more. The small touches like the coffee bean grinder, home baked cookies and refreshments were much appreciated. It was the perfect, relaxing getaway and we hope to visit again - next time in warmer weather.

Booth and Janet made us feel right at home, from the moment we walked in we were practically in awe from the stunning look of the cabin, to it's surroundings, and the amazing views. The tour of everything was great and the cookies were delicious. It's not very often that you can completely escape the hustle and bustle of city life but this was the answer to all of that. We had a lovely time enjoying the serene quiet of the woods, and exploring the property. We're so thankful for the time we spent at the Cabin, and we really hope to return for another trip. What a perfect place for a getaway. Thank You again to you both for your lovely hospitality!

The place is immaculate! WAY better than the photos depict (and they already look great!). Booth was there to give us a quick tour and rundown of the place, and then we were left to ourselves for the remainder of our trip! Great people, great place, couldn't recommend it more!

Janet and Booth are so generous and thoughtful. We had everything we needed in the cabin and they even provider us with something we forgot. They made sure we were comfortable... And we were! The cabin is really cozy and peaceful. We spent the laziest days and we enjoyed every second of it. It was the perfect getaway!

We had an excellent stay at the Cabin. Janet was in communication with us all day about our arrival, and when we did arrive, she made herself available to give us a quick tour and show us the ropes. The cabin is beautiful - exactly as pictured, if not larger, and quite serene. It's fully stocked with all the amenities (everything from a blender to a coffee grinder), so we were not left wanting for anything. It was a little bit closer to the main house than I expected, but we felt it managed to be quite private and separate, so it was comfortable. The property is beautiful. Plus, we were close enough to some small towns that we were able to go in and tool around for a bit, which was nice. We had a lovely time and hope to return. Oh! Homemade cookies = bonus points!

As all of the reviews say, this was a perfect weekend getaway. We had a mixture of great weather and thunderstorms. The cabin has a walk out deck that is covered so we enjoyed being outside watching the storm. They were great hosts and offered everything you would need excluding the food you choose to bring. It was quiet and you have all the privacy you need. Thanks again!

This place was absolutely fantastic. Checking in was a breeze, Neil picked us up on his speed boat and took us over to the island. The cottages were in great condition and ended up being more space than we needed. Neil let us use his canoes which we took around the lake. Although we were rained out on one of the days we still enjoyed our entire stay. We will definitely be back up there in the future.

Andrea and Neil were perfect hosts and super accommodating. Really easy to communicate with and incredibly helpful. We will definitely try and visit again.

We had a wonderful time at Neil and Andrea's place. The cottage was clean and comfortable. There was more than enough propane for the bbq and eating outside on the deck was great. The ping pong table in the bunkie kept us occupied on the colder nights and the dock and water were beautiful during the day. Neil was available by phone and text message at all times, was extremely helpful and informative and made our arrival and departure very easy by boat. Our only complaint was that the sauna in the boathouse which we were looking forward to was broken and unusable which we weren't told about prior to our stay. I would recommend Andrea and Neil's place for medium sized groups. We went up with 7 people and it was just the right size.

Wonderful place. Loved our stay. Would definitely book again. It's not a private island but feels very set apart from the neighbors. Awesome amenities like the sauna and wood burning stove made the weekend a real nice relaxation fest.

I have been to many airbnb's but nothing has been as well though out as this stay. The house was in immaculate condition, sheets were clean and everything you could ask for in a cottage was provided. Dan is a great guy that will take care of your needs and more. Would highly recommend and would come back. The house is situated 5 minute drive from blue mountain with scenic lake 2 mins walking distance.

Dan is very organized and responded quickly to emails. We were greeted with fire lit in a fire pit on our arrival! The listing is accurate exactly as in pictures clean and tidy and includes all the essentials. It also has chromecast and HD cable service which make our stay just like home away from home. Another perk was that the washroom was recently renovated by Dan! Would highly recommend.

Great little cottage located between Wasaga and Collingwood. It was the perfect spot for my wife and kids to get away and enjoy some skiing and outdoor activities. Privately tucked into the woods off a quiet street. We will be back for sure.

We loved our stay with Dan, his house is very warm and we particularly liked the home corner and games for the court (volleyball, badmindton, iron ..). It is within walking distance of a small private beach and close to several attractions (Wasaga Beach Provincial Park, Blue Mountains ..).

Set in what feels like the middle of a forest, beside one of the prettiest rivers in Ontario, Lydia and Colin’s immaculately maintained cottage was a welcome respite from the endless churn of Toronto. From the cathedral ceilings to the well appointed rooms, there isn’t a nook in the place that wasn’t carefully planned. The bedroom in the attic, while tiny, is also accompanied by a large and private loft area immediately outside it, along with a convenient half bathroom, making it a great area for reading or working. Downstairs, the bright and spacious living area is well suited for socializing, relaxing and dining, especially when there is a fire crackling in the old fashioned stove. An open concept and fully equipped kitchen ensured that there was never an excuse to go hungry. Close by, the large and comfortable Master bedroom is also conveniently connected to the main bathroom. In the basement, yet another fully furnished bedroom is connected to a second living area containing a a bar, some board games and DVDs, and another wood stove. A full bathroom with a shower stall and laundry facilities complement the space. The best part of this floor however, lies in the fact that it provides direct access to the backyard and ergo, the Muskoka River. For all anglers willing to brave the mosquitos and flies, shore fishing from the dock is possibly one of the most relaxing activities in the world. Admittedly, our catch was not exactly magnificent, what with only one bass we had to release after three days of fishing. It is absolutely worth noting that after nightfall, the starry sky comes on display through the massive floor to ceiling glass windows - stars and fireflies both. Dots of light dart between the trees all around the property, and it is almost impossible not to become filled with a childish sort of glee at the sight. In terms of accessibility, the cottage is located almost directly off the highway. It is one straight road away from the nearest town - Gravenhurst - and it is also an hour away from Algonquin Park. As hosts, Colin and Lydia graciously answered my milieu of questions, always quickly and cheerfully. All in all, the place is absolutely worth any visitor’s time - this review barely does it justice.

Colin & Lydia were great to book with and answered questions promptly. They were very prepared with a house manual and clear instructions for check in/out. The chalet was spacious, clean, and well stocked. The property itself was gorgeous and, even on a rainy Dec day, it was fun to explore the river view. Highly recommend for a romantic getaway or family outing.

Great cottage with an awesome living space allowing to spend good times with family/friends. Very spacious and comfy master bedroom. The 2 other bedrooms were pretty small though. Super clean and easy communication with Colin and Lydia.

Beautiful home in a beautiful location. The home was well equipped with everything we needed and more! Although the kids didn't know what to do with themselves at first without wifi; they discovered new ways to entertain themselves which was my plan. It was a lovely time "really" spending time with family.

My friends and I had another great stay at this property. Everything is as described, communication with Colin and Lydia was a breeze and the fireplace was a perfect touch for the winter nights. We'll be back!

This cottage is situated in a tranquil, peaceful location, ideal for relaxation. It is immaculately clean and well equiped with linens, BBQ, paddle boat, movies, firepit etc. There is a dock by the river to sit and read, great place to swim or canoe , (We brought our canoe, easy access to river). Our weekend at the loon cottage was just perfect. Everything we needed was there. Jim and Suzie were very helpful and always available when we needed them. The wifi is fast which was great, and the canoes and paddle boats available for guests free of charge added to our overall positive experience! Thanks, Suzie and Jim! Beautiful location, and wonderful hosts!

Great place to stay and vacation! The view is amazing and the cottage itself had everything we needed. We had guests come up and stay with us all week and everyone had a blast. The AC and all the water toys (paddle boat, canoe, kayak, paddle board), were nice perks since we had some very hot days. The dock is shared but all the other guests were very friendly and it made for a enjoyable week.

We had a fantastic time at the loon!! The cottage and everything around it was beautiful, comfortable and convenient. Suzie and Jim were lovely hosts - very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. We can’t wait to go back! Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to rent a cottage. This was my first time in Muskoka and the stay at Suzanne and Jim's cottage was amazing. Everything was perfect: the location right by the lake, the cottage equipment, the BBQ on the cottage patio, the hosts..! You will have your own privacy and will enjoy everything as if it was only you and the lake!.. I will definitely book another stay there!

This property was used to host and celebrate a family member's milestone and it comfortably fit 17 of us, and a wee baby! It exceeded our expectations in every way! To begin with, the host, Ron, is super on the ball and replied back to me within an hour of sending an initial query about the place. Throughout the entire experience, Ron was fantastic, answered every question, replied within hours and was reasonable in terms of accommodating requests for that weekend. The house itself is just beautiful and so well made! The best part would have to be the giant, luxurious kitchen and the giant family room right next to it. My mom herself told me to specifically include how great the kitchen is, and it really was! It was equipped with everything you could need to make food for large groups, including cutlery, plates, etc... there was also a nice balance of common areas and private areas. The sun rooms were a nice spot for people to read quietly in one and play games in the other (yes, there are two of them). The place itself was super clean, and we were greeted with a complimentary bottle of wine on the beautifully set dining room. The location is also sweet, right on the lake, very scenic and if you're in the hot tub or have a fire going, it's always great to do it while looking out on the lake. The location is very quiet and overall it was a really amazing weekend for my whole family and can't wait to come back again! I highly recommend this place for anyone interested!

Had such a great time at Ron's cottage. Location was great, beautiful view of the lake and a short drive into Orillia or Barrie. So convenient for a getaway from Toronto. The cottage is so clean, comfortable and spacious. Very dog friendly, my dog may have had a better time relaxing than we did. Beds were very comfortable we all had great sleeps. Great communication from Ron he was very quick to respond to any questions and was really organized with check in and check out which was very simple. We had such a great time, would love to return. This cottage is absolutely stunning. It was very clean, comfortable and accommodating for a big group. My family and i had an amazing time, and all the personal touches made us feel so welcomed. Ron is an amazing host. He was very helpful during our stay and even during the booking process. This cottage is right on the lake so the sunrises above the snow covered lake are breath taking. Host wowed us with set up for lunch table and complimentary bottle of wine! Totally unexpected, got us in a festive mood right away. -Kitchen is modern, with top of the line appliances. Cooking experience was so pleasurable, that we ate more than we intended :) Well equipped with lots of beautiful staff. Beyond expectation! -Beds are comfortable, the linens are so soft that you can't wait to slide in and close your eyes. High quality bed sets, pillows etc. -Bathrooms are simple and very pleasing. Clean, towels are white! Towels for the hot tub were also provided. -We spend most of the time between the big cottage style dinning table, hot tub, building snow castle on the backyard and nearby slopes skiing and snowboarding. -A very relaxing and fun weekend for 3 families with lots of kids. -Spacious, very homey, cozy, exactly how a cottage should be.

Ron was an excellent host - checked in with us during our stay and left us a set table and snack when we arrived. The place was great. Exactly as described and a perfect place for us to relax as a family (and my husband was able to get a bit of work done too!). The cottage is deceivingly big. Just myself, husband, our two kids and dog stayed, and we didn't even use the basement at all (which with above grade windows and beautiful views as well, really doesn't feel like a basement at all). There is not enough amazing things to say about Leslie and her woodwind cabin! It was EXACTLY what we were looking for, for a night away from the city for our anniversary :) Leslie was there to greet us with her adorable dog when we arrived and she showed us around. She is a very relaxed and nice host and answered any questions we had! She gave us the perfect amount of privacy but always helped us if (URL HIDDEN) fact she even helped start a fire for us! The cabin was exactly as described and what was pictured in the photos. In fact, it was even better in person! Everything was super clean and the cabin was nice and cozy for a chilly fall night. The BBQ worked perfectly and we made our meals outside and sat by the fire and patio table. The cabin is equipped with anything else you could need! The hammock was key for a nice fall afternoon and we even had a bit of a nap in it. The area the cabin is located in is beautiful. The fall colours were really starting to show and it's a nice quiet area to go for a nice walk. The beach is steps from the cabin which we still visited just to sit on the bench and take in Autumn. So lovely. Leslie's cabin in Gravenhurst is so quant, romantic and enjoyable. Description is just as the cabin is! Very clean and Leslie has thought about everything you'd need! Leslie is very Eco-friendly offering all organic soaps and cleaning products, which is such a nice touch. The bed is so, so comfy. We had a great time 15 minutes away in downtown Gravenhurst. Go to the Gypsy Market Mews, Currie's Antiques & Records and a trip to Sawdust City Brewing Co. is a must. Overall, I would recommend you to stay at Leslie's cabin. We will be returning!!

What a wonderful little escape! My mother and I stayed at Leslie's cabin for two nights at the beginning of September. The cabin was an easy (and relatively short) drive from Toronto, and Gravenhurst amenities such as grocery store, drug store, etc. are a short 5-10 minute drive from the cabin... However, the property itself feels as though its far from any city--very private and quiet. Leslie was an absolutely lovely host: she was always available at a moment's notice to answer questions/concerns, but gave us lots of privacy. The cabin itself is very clean and well-decorated - and the bed very comfortable. The outdoor space is simple but very cute - a couple of seating areas, large hammock, and hanging lights for nighttime. The public beach, about a one-minute walk from the cabin is great... sandy beach with a few floating docks for public use. Overall, definitely recommended for anybody looking to have a few mellow days away from the city - we're hoping to make it a tradition! Thanks Leslie :)

We loved staying at Leslie's cabin in Muskoka, wish we could have stayed longer! It was a very cosy spot with everything we needed - great sleeps because of the nice bed, all we needed to cook BBQs and make breakfast with the food we brought. It is tastefully done and a great escape. We enjoyed the fall colours but hope to return one day in the warmer days!

Gorgeous cottage, absolutely outstanding hostage - spotless cottage, brand new appliances, brand new plumbing, brand new kitchen cabinets, very cozy living room with fireplace and native decorations, 6 bedroom with everything you need, outside terrace with BBQ, huge dock for boats and canoe (We had kayak, 2 canoes trip over the Loon Lake plus 2 hidden lakes through the rivers), a lot of activities around the area, very quite spot for cottage, private location. The owner is very friendly and very helpful, we received complimentary apple pie as a Thanksgiving "thank you" to us! Very enjoyable place. Easy to communicate, easy to find the place, description and policy for the house are just perfect. I recommend this place to families, couples, and groups, any style of resting is there - flat big TV, veranda with outstanding chairs (comfy, no! very comfy), fishing right from the huge dock (7 pikes in a 2 days!!!), you can just sit and enjoy every second of nature changes on that dock - moorings are the best. Outstanding service performed by the owner, it was a pleasure to meet such a nice gentleman and very professional manner of hostage. Please take you time on a cottage but don't forget to visit Hardly Lake trail (15min away), road biking, mountain biking, dog walking. Bedrooms are big, master bedroom is really big ,not every house will have such a nice master bedroom with walking closet and separate 3pc washroom to have very private rest when you have big family on the same time with you, amazing view to the lake, nice landscaping. Thank you and this cottage is on my list for renting for sure. Towels, linens, nice plates with décor, microwave, toaster, tea cattle, fridge, laundry machines, a lot of pots, plates, forks, knives, cups, everything you need to make dinner for big family is there! Good combination - price and value!

The place was beautiful it was an extremely quiet and peaceful location. It also had a very cozy home feel to it. Kristina also was very responsive and ensured that everything was easy and smooth to checkin to the condo. Kristina was very accommodating when we needed to change the dates of our reservation and replied promptly to all our messages which is very important when you don't get to meet a host and you're coming out of town. The place was set up exactly as pictured and the kitchen and bathroom were well stocked with all one might need for a comfortable stay.

Our experience at Vera's was lovely. The grounds are beautiful, the cabin is quaint and clean, and Vera is an extremely friendly and generous host. I would definitely recommend this place for a getaway from the big city.

My husband and I had a lovely stay in the box car. Vera and John were very friendly and welcomed us on the property. There was bottles of spring water and a basket of fruit waiting for our arrival. They took us on a tour of the grounds and gave us some info about the property. They invited us over for lunch, to go shopping and a movie - but unfortunately we had other plans. The box car was cozy and had all the essentials. Like staying at a friend or family members place. We used the pool and hot tub often, but because of the weather were not able to enjoy the grounds fully. It was peaceful and we saw lots of wild life: many different birds, a beaver, bunnies and frogs. The posting was a little unclear as the TV, Cable and wifi are in the main building and not accessible without a short walk. Also some of the rentals were not fully functional or available at the time of our visit. Refills of the spring water was available in the main building, other wise it was well water. Vera's farm is still in the early stages which was interesting to see and learn about. Surrounded by forests and farms it was a lovely short drive to town for some ice cream, and Barrie was not that far away either.

We had a great, relaxing stay at this box car train cottage getaway! Vera and John were very welcoming, and left little touches around the cottage that made it extra special for us. From the homemade cookies to the Ginseng tea, our bodies became recharged and our souls nourished in this fresh aired oasis. They are very proud and happy to share their acres of land for guests to enjoy. And we did! We enjoyed learning about and sharing the benefits of using their chemical free hot tub and chemical free indoor swimming pool. The pool felt like swimming in a natural pond, very refreshing. Vera and John were happy to share stories, and made us feel welcome to join them in their activities or welcome to enjoy the property on our own. The box car is wonderful. It's cosy, airy, clean, and bigger inside than you'd think! The lounge area was extremely comfortable for reading and napping, and the view over the swimming pond was so relaxing. Thank you Vera :-)

This was exactly what we were looking for. Something away from the city with lots of quiet time, rest and relaxation. We spent every day going on walks and exploring the property. Saw some deer drinking from the river, had fires every night, and enjoyed time in the hot tub, sauna and pool. We couldn't ask for more. Thank you for everything Vera!

The property was all very nice and well put together. However, the listing was not really what I was expecting because it's listed as entire home. I feel it should probably be listed as rooms as the woman lives on the property in a house and she was always around. I was there to celebrate a bachelorette and I was anticipating more privacy. She is a very kind and calm host, but like I said I was just expecting more privacy and she was always offering things to try to get as much money from us as possible. There's yoga, snacks and tea, and towels for an additional charge. I said no to yoga twice and she still asked again upon arrival. It was just a little much. One of the girls that went is a smoker and she wasn't allowed to smoke outside which I find odd. I understand no smoking indoors, but outside... That's unnecessary. The pool and hot tub are in her house and she came by every time we were using either one of them. There's also a curfew to use the pool and hot tub which I'm not really impressed about. I was there for a bachelorette, was hoping to use the hot tub at night not in the middle of the day. Another thing I was concerned about is that she's really all about having everything natural so her cleaning products aren't really cleaning products at all (mint water). We used our own blankets because we were worried about the sheets. I'm not a germaphobe but I think some things should be cleaned with harsher products or at least lemon or baking soda (I.e. Toilets) especially between guests. The floor in the train bunker is not finished but otherwise it's a nice bunker. Overall, it's a nice place and the host is great but I'm still disappointed because it's not entirely what I was anticipating.

My boyfriend and I stayed in the boxcar for a weekend trip that was just the right distance from Toronto. We both enjoyed our stay - photos were accurate in portraying the listing. The boxcar was spacious and well heated despite the freezing temperatures outside. There is a fireplace and plenty of firewood (although we struggled to get it going). It was also thoughtful of Vera to leave us fruits and snacks upon our arrival. The "spa area" (i.e. pool, hot tub and sauna) was great. The pool was admittedly cold ("pond temperature"), but it was fine after a few laps (or dips in the hot tub). Vera/John use chemical-free water, which felt refreshing. We also walked around the property during our spare time. Unfortunately it was a bit too cold and snowy outside to do much else. The kitchen is small like other reviews mentioned, but it is a boxcar after all. It is well stocked though with plenty of cutlery, pots and pans. We were able to make our meals just fine. Vera invited us over for a tour of her house, where we learned more about her interests and passion in making the planet a better place. She was kind enough to let us sample many different types of homemade drinks and food as well. We both purchased a few goodies from her store to bring back home (thanks for the bananas too!). I'm interested to return in warmer months to make full use of the features on the property (e.g. swimming, hiking, kayaking). Undoubtedly a relaxing trip with a piece of history.

This truly was a utopian getaway. This is a rejuvenative retreat from a big city or busy lifestyle. John & Vera are both extremely warm and welcoming; we quickly felt at home. The whole experience was quite serendipitous and we got much more than we were expecting (we learned how to compost and ferment foods). Vera has a lot of wisdom to share and I urge anyone who is attracted to this place in anyway-with the intention to detox, de-stress, and relax in nature- to absolutely go for it. I was interested by but slightly skeptical of the chemical free indoor pool as I didn't know what to expect of the quality of the water. During the first swim I felt completely comfortable as the whole area including the water is very clean! She up keeps the pool and hot tub in a very natural, progressive way. It was a very pleasant experience and we swam in the pool several times. This place is very therapeutic-and not far from Barrie-my fiancé and I drove in to the city a few times to get a massage and to go out for dinner, and great for anyone looking for a sacred space to practice yoga/meditation and/or interested in learning more about living a more natural-organic lifestyle. This vacation was good for the soul. We will definitely return to visit John & Vera.

We absolutely loved our time at the cottage! Maria and Tarver were perfect hosts--answered all of our questions, were super friendly and even left little chocolates on our pillows. :-). The cottage itself was lovely and much bigger than we expected. We would definitely come back!

We rented the cottage for a week and had a wonderful time. The view of the water and the location were perfect. We loved the option of turning the wood stove into a fireplace and the small touches that Maria and Tarver left in the cottage. It was warm cozy and beautiful. A perfect winter get away.

Maria and Tarver were great hosts! They provided us with clear and concise rules and information - and were very helpful with any questions and accomodations we had. The property has everything we needed, a well equipped kitchen, sheets and towels provided, firewood etc. The water front is beautiful and the swimming was a delight. Would recommend this spot to everyone !

Maria and Tarver's cottage was perfect. The beach, fire pit, and BBQ area were secluded and private, even with next door neighbors. The shared beach was beautiful and the neighbors who share it were never there so we always had the whole thing to ourselves. The shower pressure was awesome and we never ran out of hot water (although we did have responsible length showers). The bedrooms had comfortable new mattresses and bedding. And the wood stove in the living area was absolutely perfect for nights when the weather wasn't too great. Everything was also easy to use and understand, given Maria and Tarver's detailed instructions. Highly recommend staying with them and will do ourselves if we get back up to Georgian Bay!

We had an incredible time at Mokotow cottage by the lake! Our booking was easy and Maria and Tarver provided lots of information about the cottage. We had access to a charcoal grill which was great to cook our pork chops on. The cottage itself was beautiful, the pictures don't do it justice. I love that the bedding and towels were provided and there was plenty of space for the four of us. A great cozy escape from the city with a warm fireplace!! I would love to come back in the summer and take advantage of the walk out right to the beach. Thank you Maria and Tarver for such a lovely stay!

We deeply enjoyed our time at Maria and Tarver's very sweet cottage. It's clean, cozy, and rustic with all the necessary creature comforts. We enjoyed using the full kitchen and BBQ, had refreshing swims in the lake, and wondered at the magnificent array of stars at night. Maria and Tarver are very organized hosts who are sure that guests have all the info they need for a smooth arrival and departure. They were very helpful without being instructive. It's a real treat to access such a treasured family property. We had the very loveliest, most peaceful relaxing time. Thanks also for the s'mores!

Very convenient location. Requests and questions were responded to promptly. We appreciated all the information Greg provided us with prior to our arrival. Re: a previous review, the kitchen is now well-stocked and good for cooking, except there are still no oven mitts. The accommodation was spacious, and it was great to have the rec room. Unfortunately, the couch and love-seat in the living room were really uncomfortable (you sink way down into them, can feel the bars on the pull-out, etc) and really need to be replaced.

The place was exactly as described! Our group felt very warm and cozy, and the neighbourhood was very peaceful. The distance to the village was also very ideal. Greg was very communicative about procedures. We will definetly come back again!

Great stay at Gregs place. He took the time to provide us with a list of recommended places to visit, with a description of each, as we werent familiar with the area. Also, a very detailed guide on the mechanics of the house (hot tub instructions, tv, etc). Very smooth process, will definately stay again!

The listing description was accurate. The home was spacious, clean and well kept with all the amenities. Greg was great with providing information before and during our stay. He was always available if we had any questions. I would recommend this place for a large group of families or friends.

His handyman John was also always available via text message or phone call to help us with any issues regarding the house along with check-in and check-out. Greg was very detailed in his instructions and listing information. The house was exactly as advertised and provided a comfortable stay for a large group of people. We had a great time! The place was in a cute little neighbourhood about a 10 minute walk from the village! It was clean and well kept.

This was the first time I used AirBnb to book a place for our trip. After reviewing every single option in the Blue Mountain area and reading reviews, I decided to stay at Emily's apartment. She was very welcoming and helpful. The apartment itself was really clean, cozy, tidy and described exactly as it is. You'll find anything you can imagine there. All you need to take with you is some food, that's all. I recommend Emily's apartment to everyone who's looking to stay in that area and surely we'll stay at her place in the future again. :)

My husband and I had a great time at Emily's. We loved that the place was clean, affordable and in a great location, close to the Village. The kitchen was stocked with everything you need and over all the place was very kept very well. The upstairs neighbours were a little loud at night but that is expected in a condo building. Checking in and out was very easy and Emily made every effort to make sure that we had what we needed.

My husband and I spent the weekend at Emily's condo in blue mountain with our three month old. We just wanted to getaway for a few days and this was the perfect and cosy little place to do that. The unit looked exactly the same in person as it did in the pictures. It was clean, cosy and inviting. One reason we chose to stay here is because it's more affordable than staying directly in the village and it has a more at home feel than a hotel room does. We did not walk into the village so I cannot say for sure how long a walk there would be. But it was about a 2-3 minute drive. It's just around the corner. Emily was also a good host, promptly answering any questions we had. Overall we had a great stay here and would definitely book this place again!

Emily's apartment was fantastic a great location just a short drive or a pleasant 15 minute walk to Blue Mountain Village. Everything was spotless and everything we needed was available to us. The code enabled door lock was fantastic and took the stress out of coordinating key pick up and drop off. Emily took the time to reach out to us and ask if there was anything we needed. Overall we had a very relaxing stay and would definitely recommend this accommodation.

This condo was excellent for our family of four, with a kitchen and a deck off the patio doors! It is centrally located between the Mountains, Collingwood and Thornbury! Netflixs was an added bonus!

Suzanne was incredibly accommodating when I asked to book a very last-minute getaway. I was intrigued by the photos on the listing and the place in real life does not disappoint. Every last detail in the cabin is thoughtful, whimsical, and comfortable. The location is ideal, just an hour from Toronto, in a populated area so groceries and wine are just a few minutes drive away. But once you're inside the cabin you feel tucked away from the world, with the woods in the backyard. Watching Netflix in bed, enjoying the view of the fire crackling in the wood stove from the super soaker Jacuzzi tub, cooking in the gorgeous kitchen. On top of the amazing cabin, Suzanne was a perfect host. She was incredibly quick to respond to any questions and set up a wonderful experience for her guests. I hope to return many times and am already raving to friends and family.

Our stay at Twin Beaver Lodge was so lovely! We went to escape for a few days and that's exactly what happened. There was a beautiful snow storm, and everything was very picturesque. The pictures are accurate, and we felt very comfortable and cozy. Would love to come back in the summer! Thanks so much for a much needed getaway.

We felt so at home in Suzanne's place that we didn't want to leave. It's full of awesome books and great board games and you can't help but feel very cozy there. The stove is incredible (we had a great time cooking) and the master bed is out-of-this-world comfortable. We also enjoyed walking around the neighbourhood and hanging out at the little beach at the end of the road. I highly recommend this place. A great break from the city. I would love to come back in the winter, too.

This is a great place for a quiet, relaxing getaway from the city. We enjoyed cozy fires inside while it rained outside. The cooking facilities are excellent and the decor is amazing. All in all a memorable experience!

This place really is magic and we truly felt at home. So much so that we actually called it our home while we were there. Things we loved: the couch that is actually bed, the tub, the gas stove, the comfy bed and walking straight out the backyard into a the woods to snow shoe. It was the perfect getaway from the city, not too far, but far enough. Thank you for letting us share you magic. It's beautiful here and we're leaving refreshed and ready to come back again.

Suzanne's chalet was as adorable as pictured in her listing. The decor is kitschy and fun, the bed super comfortable and the tub is luxurious and perfect for an afternoon soak after a three-hour hike. The cottage is a short drive away from a few big chain grocers and an LCBO; all the more perfect for staying in and making a gourmet meal in Suzanne's well-equipped kitchen (that stove is magnificent!). The stereo has excellent speakers and is fashioned with an AUX cord, so no need to bring your own! Plug in your phone and you can enjoy your favorite tunes while cooking or playing board games by the fire. All in all, it was the perfect place to spend a romantic getaway with my partner. Thanks for everything, Suzanne! We will most certainly be back!

The location of this tidy apartment is perfect and accessible to all that Collingwood has to offer. Makes for one heck of a ski trip if you are ever visiting blue mountain. I would highly recommend this place!

Daniel's place was as described. Check in was easy and his mother was there to greet us. She even had treats for my son :) The suite was hotel like but without all the noise of a hotel. Cozy and quiet. Very close to Blue Mountain and downtown Collingwood. Thank you for the nice bottle of wine!

Great place for a getaway. My only comment would be that there is a lack of soft lighting All the lights were very severe, made me feel like I was on stage. An end table lamp would do the trick.

Many thanks to Daniel for letting me change my reservation date when I had car trouble. His studio is equipped with a microwave, Keurig coffeemaker and kettle. The studio is very clean and the neighbourhood was very quiet for my weekday overnight stay.

Good location close to Blue Mountain. No surprises, place was as advertised, and Daniel was easy to communicate with.

Steve’s cabin was a perfect escape from the city! This spot is remote enough that we could see all the stars at night, but not too far for a trip in to town for an ice cream during the day. The cabin is a great place to escape to, either to relax and catch up on summer reading, or for an adventure in the Muskoka terrain. The water was beautiful, and there are a lot of trails in the area for hiking excursions. Steve was an awesome host and the cabin was so nice to stay in. All the right amenities for a quick trip out of town. Highly recommended! I’m already making plans to get back there!

Great wood cabin for 2 people. A lot of bugs but we had a great stay! Stephen is really friendly and really helpful if u have any trouble.

We had a wonderful stay at Stephens cabin. Such a cozy little cabin built perfectly for two. We went Kayaking (for me the first time), went swimming, and had a few fires! It was truly beautiful and an experience I will never forget. Stephen was always available if we needed any help with anything! We would definitely like to come back for longer next year!

Stephen's cabin is a great place to go for a nice quiet get away. Fishing was awesome and our dogs loved the water. Sauna is a nice added touch to the cabin and listening to the loons in the morning and beaver swim by in the bay is a great way to start off the day.  Trails near by for hiking and the little town Bala, has some cute shops. We also checked out Johnston's Cranberry Marsh. We had our privacy and if we needed Stephen for anything he was right there to accommodate, thanks Stephen.

This place was absolutely amazing. Stephen was a really great host and helped us out when we needed it. We loved the place and the location, it was beautiful. We loved having the fire pit down by the water and the bedroom over looking the lake.

I spent this past weekend with my boyfriend and his two friends for his birthday and we all had a fantastic time. Stephen couldn't be more of a great host, and everything he promised was done well over and above. Our time spent and this cabin was relaxing and very enjoyable. Most definitely looking forward to possibly returning in the future and continuing to enjoy more of what this lovely home away from home has to offer.
