  • My wife and two son's stayed at Sajjad's house for the night. It was excellent. Sajjad gave us a thorough handover which was appreciated. The house itself is beautiful. My sons loved the swimming pool, steam room and the pool table. I'd recommend staying at Sajjad's house. Its spectacular and definitely has the wow factor.

    Janice2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • What a beautiful house & was perfect for our family get-together with ages ranging from 12-75! The location is beautiful & the house exactly what we needed - plenty of communal space but equally individual space too. We absolutely loved the pool & hot tub and I can’t recommend this lovely house highly enough.

    Fiona2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • What can I say? Third year in a row our team has had their Christmas stay at this property. Facilities are excellent - swimming pool (nice & warm)/ Sauna/ Hot tub all put excellent use/ Theatre room used to chill out & relax and watch a movie. Any questions, Sajjad gives a quick response. If looking for somewhere to relax in a lovely location, then I recommend this property.

  • From the very start of the booking process the communication from the host, Marc, was spot on. It was easy to find and check-in. I wanted a quirky place to stay to suit adults and teenagers, and this fitted the bill. It was large enough to spread out and relax. Clean, warm, interesting interior. Great transport links. Supermarkets on the doorstep, plus an interesting riverside walk.

Great getaway cabin on the Banks of Loch Lomond, fantastic views of the loch and surrounding mountains. A great base for enjoying the many water sports available on the loch, hill walking or simply a relaxing break. Continental breakfast included.
The cabin is self contained with an en suite shower room, TV and free WiFi. A substantial continental breakfast is provided within the cabin. There is a covered balcony area and garden. Our biggest asset without doubt is the unrestricted stunning views of Loch Lomond and surrounding mountains. We are in the village and within a five minute walk of all local amenities. If you are attending a wedding in the village we are located 50 metres from the church and a five minute walk to both local hotels.
Luss is an extremely picturesque village in the heart of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National (URL HIDDEN) is in a conservation area with many ancient buildings, the local church being of particular interest with hump back Viking grave stones. You can also enjoy many beautiful walks in the surrounding area.
  • Excellent night away, would definitely return

    Taylor2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Great if you just want to stay in Luss for a few days! It’s right across from a cute little coffee shop and down the street from a couple of places to eat. She refreshed the place every day and gave a nice continental breakfast. The host was so responsive and easy to chat to and you wake up to the best view! Only thing is it does get windy so bring ear plugs so you don’t hear the doors blowing. Great stay and super pleased!

  • Such a lovely place to stay, wonderful views and definitely a wee hidden gem! The spread Alyson put on for breakfast was of excellent quality and all amenities were at hand. Exceptional value for money and a very clean and well kept place. Alyson was also a lovely host who was always on hand. I will recommend this place to anyone travelling in this region!

  • My stay at Michael and Nolwenn's cottage was great. It was the perfect base for a weekend getaway from Edinburgh.

    Grace2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely cosy cottage, perfect location for Loch Lomond and surrounds, friendly helpful hosts.

    Jamie2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay in Michael and Nolwenn's cosy cabin. As a non-driver it was wonderful to find a peaceful place to stay within easy reach of beautiful scenery yet right next to the train station and close to local amenities. Michael kindly met us from the station and helped us with our bags but it was so close - just across the road! We walked to the loch and went to the Sea Life and Birds of Prey centres. It was February so the weather wasn't great and sadly we couldn't make use of the pretty deck and gardens, but the cabin was toasty warm and there were plenty of board games, books and DVDs to keep us entertained. In fact, this is the best-equipped self-catering accommodation I've ever stayed in. Michael and Nolwenn have thought of everything, especially in the kitchen: as well as all the cutlery, crockery and utensils you'd need to cook, they provide tea, coffee, oil, sauces, salt, pepper, herbs and spices, even foil to wrap sandwiches in for picnics. These are the little things you often end up wastefully buying and leaving behind when you are self-catering and travelling by public transport. The accommodation was immaculately clean and tidy, the bed comfy, communication clear and efficient. An exemplary Airbnb experience!

    Emily2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Michael and Nolwenn were lovely hosts! The place is every bit as cosy as it looks, located very close to Loch Lomond (the cottage has direct access to a riverside path that leads you to the Loch!) and Michael and Nolwenn gave us lots of useful information which we took advantage of during our stay! Would 100% recommend it to anyone looking to stay in the Loch Lomond area.

  • Fabulous accommodation, fabulous hosts, would definitely return

    Jen2020-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • Michael and Nolwenn are extremely kind hosts, full of useful tips of the area. The cottage is conveniently just a few minutes walk from the train depot, with plenty of privacy and a view of the river. Great place to spend a few nights away.

    David2020-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • This magical oasis hidden on the River Leven banks of Balloch, is not to be missed. Within the first few moments into the cabin you already feel right at home, with a cosy aesthetic and some of the comfiest sheets we had ever slept in. The surrounding garden is genuinely the most magical area you will ever find yourself. Your inner child will be filled with wonder and adventure as you meander your way around its twists and turns. Waking up to a cuppa on the balcony is the ideal way to start your day and as you watch the sun peak through the trees you’ll realise that you never want to leave. Fisherwood Cottage is absolutely stunning and we can guarantee that it’s the best way to see Balloch.

  • Vicki and Daisy were lovely! Their home is AMAZING, there is a small water fall and a beautiful padio just outside. Their chickens roam around on the lawn, giving the home a farm house feel. There is a sweet dog and cat who will love you to pieces. The breakfast was incredible... with fresh chicken eggs!! The house and decor is straight out of a country cottage magazine. Our bedroom was warm and cozy. So clean, so chic, the beds were super comfy, and the bathtub was so relaxing. Vicki was a great guide, and her friend Gregor was helpful getting us around.

  • Lovely private room in a sleek, but warm and inviting home. Lochearnhead is a beautiful little town with many fun walks and places to eat near by.

  • We liked the place, the room we had is a bit small and if you have a big luggage is difficult to find a place for it. Nice area to visit nearby

    Marina2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay, a beautiful 1700s building with a modern and stylish interior. Wine by a roaring fire in the evening and a great home cooked but restaurant standard breakfast to start the day. Would highly recommend.

    Rachel2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Melanie has created a beautiful space in a historic building in an incredible area of Scotland. She is also a great cook and has great tips for exploring the local area! We look forward to our next stay!

    Madeleine2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic place, really beautiful village and surroundings. We just stayed for one night which was fab, the space is so stylish and cozy, had a open fire on the log burner and tea and biscuits on arrival. The breakfast was amazing, the whiskey porridge was really worth going for and Melanie was a great host, so warm welcoming, fun and interesting! Would definitely return.

    Philippa2020-01-28T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay with Melanie. She welcomed us in, we had tea by the roaring fire - it was such a nice arrival. The whole space was just gorgeous, and the room was comfortable and clean and just so stylish. I loved the little touches that just made it feel so luxurious. January is a quiet time in Lochearnhead I think, but Melanie recommended having dinner at Mhor 84 down the road, and indeed it was a great meal with good vegan options. Breakfast was outstanding - and I'd highly recommend Melanie's yoga class as well! We left feeling relaxed and restored. Overall we felt like we'd been on a luxury retreat and I'd love to come again.

    Alex2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • Melanie's place was really cosy and we had a warm welcoming with tea and biscuits. Very sweet place walking distance from the water front. The breakfast was so delicious and it was great chatting with Melanie. Unforgettable wee trip :)

    Sarah2019-10-31T00:00:00Z
  • Really enjoyed our stay with Melanie, she provided great tips for eating and hiking in the park. Breakfast was amazing, and Melanie is a hoot to talk to. She even made me the best ginger lemon tea when I was not feeling well. She also offered to help us with our laundry while we were out hiking for the day, which was a big help while traveling.

Come and stay in our bothy on the grounds of the Kings Tree by which Robert The Bruce entertained his troops with tales of valour and a singalong whilst awaiting the safe crossing of his men over Loch Lomond. The bothy sits next to our family home and sits within a truly stunning setting in an iconic location on the western shores of Loch Lomond. The bothy takes in fantastic views across the loch over to Ben Lomond. Guests will be met on arrival and departure.
The origins of the cottage were settled amidst the great Scottish Rebellion of 1745, the year of General George Wade, the English Commander-in-chief, was ordered by the King to deal with the rebellious Scottish Highlanders. Wade built a series of forts, bridges and roads to enable troops to patrol the region. The remains of one of the roads can still be seen within the grounds today.
We are close to the picturesque villages of Tarbet and Arrochar and with the seaside town of Helensburgh approximately 13 miles away providing a wide selection of amenities. Balloch is nearby, within about 14 miles drive and just along the western shore of Loch Lomond is the iconic Loch Lomond Golf Club, the renowned Cameron House Hotel and the Carrick Golf Resort and Spa. The area is synonymous for those who enjoy outdoor pursuits with great walks and hill climbs, stunning scenery and fantastic wildlife.
  • Cosy and warm bothy with a nice hot shower, great for a stopover on our travels. Good communication from Christine too.

    Roger2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • A cosy retreat in a stunning location. The large outside decking area next to the babbling stream was an unexpected bonus and very relaxing. Christine was very helpful with directions and her son Josh greeted me and showed me around on arrival, offering advice on where to go for food. The bothy is spacious and well-equipped. Shower room was toasty when the weather was cold outside and the bed was so comfortable! There’s a microwave, fridge, plates, glasses and cutlery, or a range of dining options within short driving distance. I can recommend the Tarbet Tearoom for a good value, filling cooked breakfast! Thanks Christine and Josh for a lovely stay.

    Amanda2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Cosy bothy in a lovely spot of land, such a shame we weren’t lucky with the weather and couldn’t spend much time outside. Clean and tidy, good selection of DVDs - bring a book and some board games if you’re staying, as there’s no WiFi (we knew that when we booked :) ) Great place to escape from the busy city.

  • My husband and I really enjoyed our stay in this lovely cottage. The views and location were perfect and our Hosts were very helpful and friendly. The cottage had everything we could possibly need and was a lovely place to stay in. With a shop and pub just yards away and set in a beautiful location we would happily return in the future.

    Ruth2020-01-10T00:00:00Z
  • I would not hesitate to recommend staying with Ben and Hazel. The view from the cottage is absolutely lovely looking onto Loch Long and the hills to the west and their hospitality is unmatched. If you fancy a great base to tackle the Arrochar Alps, with lovely views, a good shower, and wonderful people, then this is the place for you! Apart from our time in the hills we really enjoyed stopping in at the Village Inn which had a great selection of food (plus Vegan and Veggie friendly menus), and a good selection of adult beverages. The small general store directly next door to the cottage made self-catering very easy. Though we visited at New Year's it is undoubtedly a great wee getaway at any time of year. We will be back!

  • River Cottage is like a dream, overlooking the river at the back. It’s wonderful to fall asleep to the sounds of the river, such bliss. I only wish I’d had the chance to enjoy the decking, but it was a tad chilly and wet in March. The cottage is the perfect size for a solo traveller or a couple, lovely and cosy. The kitchen is well kitted out (also has salt, oil, all the basics!) and the cottage is within arms reach of Loch Lomond and the Trossachs. It was a perfect base for me and I absolutely intend to return. Vicki is a wonderful host, she popped over when I needed a hand with something and was so welcoming. Her directions are spot on, so make sure you read them beforehand. I used google street view to scope out the markers she mentioned and it couldn’t have been easier to find!

    Claire2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely quiet beautiful place to stay, very clean with great views. Viki was a excellent host

  • Very nice little cottage in a lovely location.

    Jacky2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Follow the directions and you’ll have nonissue finding the place, a small cost cottage with everything you’ll need. The stream alongside the cottage is great for sleeping and loads of open space for our dog to run about. Locally there are so many things to do, we drove round loch lomond, walked ben lawers and so much more. We loved being what seemed ‘off grid’ yet so local to glasgow. The night sky was great for star gazing and the day time views are breathtaking

    John2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely space. Friendly host. Great stay

    Graeme2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely, cosy little cottage set in a remote location. Loch Lomond is just a short drive away. It’s tucked away, but Vicki’s directions were really clear so we had no trouble finding it from the village. We didn’t get the chance to meet Vicki during our 3 night stay. The cottage itself was spotlessly clean with good amenities. We appreciated all the extra blankets as our first day in Scotland was freezing! The bed was super comfy and the hot water bottles were a nice touch. Our dog loved the cottage and settled in quickly, and the big field outside was handy for walking him. At bedtime, we loved listening to the river and a nearby owl. The only downside was that the TV wouldn’t work; we did reach out to the host for help on the first day (we tried calling first then by text on the numbers provided) as we’d noticed a previous reviewer had recently been helped with a similar issue, but ours was never resolved or followed-up on during our stay. The text response we got felt a little dismissive, so we decided not to push it again. We didn’t come away to watch television, but it would’ve been nice to curl up at night after exploring the area. Luckily we had card games and conversation! Overall, this is a nice cottage set in a lovely part of Scotland that I would recommend especially to couples with a dog or two.

    Ellen2020-01-21T00:00:00Z

This stunning lodge at Rowardennan is on the eastern shores of Loch Lomond at the foot of Ben Lomond. The West Highland Way runs adjacent to the site and there are many other walks nearby. The lodge looks right out towards Loch Lomond with amazing views over the surrounding mountains.
There is a sauna in the lodge so you can relax and get away from it all. Chill out on the decking until the sun goes down on hot summer nights.
    Great area for many walks

  • Road leading to cabin is pretty scary at night. Thought it would be more like flat road but I was mistaken. Roads get smaller and goes up & down as you go deeper. I felt a little unsure initially, with every passing minute driving. But fear not, phone GPS is accurate. Just keep following the directions and you'll reach the cabin area. As mentioned, nearest convenience store is about 10 miles or 20 min drive to town. Be sure to stock up if you're lazy to drive back. Huge space inside cabin can fit family of 4 with ample space to spare. Lots of Blu-ray DVDs and few consoles to keep yourself entertained. Sauna is a good way to warm up and you can dry clothes in there as well! Breathtaking scenery everywhere you look. It will not disappoint. Walk around and take as much pictures as you can. This place was worth the scary drive. Would recommend!

  • A wonderful lodge. It's more expensive than most of the others on the site but worth the extra money. Sauna was great after a swim in the loch. Nice welcome gift. Little extras such as hot water bottles,a decent hair dryer, games and dvds. Lodge has everything you will need in the kitchen. Towels and linen great quality. Never worry about being cold as this lodge was toasty warm and homely.

  • The lodge is absolutely beautiful, so clean and homely. Perfect for a group of friends or a family. The lodge has a fantastic open space yet still feels cosy. Nice welcoming gift from the host also. Loved it!

A very well presented double bedroom in a private section of a traditional Highland home with its own private contemporary style bathroom, complete with bath robes and slippers. The room benefits from having tea/coffee making facilities, free WiFi, storage space for luggage and looks out to the pretty landscaped garden as well as enjoying a spectacular far reaching view of Loch Long and the Arrochar Alps. As well as private on site parking there is also secure bicycle storage.
There is a possibility of breakfast being provided (additional costs apply) given that the property functions as a B&B, however the bedroom provided forms part of the private house. This is subject to guest numbers currently staying at the time.
There is a village cafe (2-5 minute walk) that serves breakfast. There are also a couple of highly recommended pubs to have lunch/dinner, again within walking distance from the house.
  • The place is super cute and really clean. Ben and Hazel are really friendly and helpful, super easy to communicate. We had a great time!! Also the view over there is stunning. Super recommend this place! 😊

  • Ben and Hazel were friendly, welcoming hosts of this Airbnb private room in quiet Arrochar. With a spectacular view and tea making facilities, the room is perfect for a couple exploring the area. The bathroom is just across the hall and can be private with a curtain and the provided dressing gown/slippers. (Note: bath only, no shower) A lovely home cooked breakfast can be enjoyed each morning too as the room sits within a b&b.

  • Hosts are amazing! They offered a lift from a and to the train station. Also they let us leave the backpacks after checkout for a couple of hours for a light walk! Room was extra clean with all amenities for a night and morning tea/coffee. Beautiful bathroom with a bath. After a long day walking in winter it was more then we could ask for!

Delightful one bedroom garden cottage ideally placed for exploring Loch Lomond and the West coast of Scotland while close enough to Glasgow to allow easy access to the city by road or rail.
Attached single storey cottage with double bedroom, shower room, fitted kitchen diner and conservatory set in a private walled garden. There is no private parking space but there is ample, free on street parking.
The cottage is in a quiet neighbourhood. It is a short, flat, walking distance to the small town centre and two minutes to the sea front which is lined with shops, pubs, cafés and restaurants. There are two train stations, Helensburgh Central to travel to Glasgow and Edinburgh and Helensburgh Upper for the West Highland Line to travel north. You can also travel to Glasgow on this line but there are fewer trains. There is a good tourist information office in the town, a small cinema and the Charles Rennie Mackintosh designed 'Hill House'. There are two supermarkets within walking distance and a larger one on the outskirts of the town. There are also two petrol stations a short drive from the cottage. Helensburgh has two sailing clubs. The area is great for walking and cycling. There is a cycle path to Loch Lomond and beyond and good local walking trails. The John Muir Way starts in Helensburgh. If you bring bikes and are interested in cycling then I can put you in touch with local cyclists who can give you guidance about some of the best local routes. Bikes can be hired from Magic Cycles based in Bowling but you should book in advance in the summer. Check out their website.
  • We loved our stay here. Great location and a good base for exploring. Linda's place was very comfortable and really quiet. Linda is a lovely host who really wants to make sure you enjoy your stay and she provides everything you need. Would thoroughly recommend staying here.

    Gavin2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Linda’s place was absolutely amazing! It’s basically being home away from home. The best Airbnb we’ve been so far and we’ve been to quite a few.

    Catherine2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • So much about this place was outstanding. Linda was such an unbelievable host – she thought of EVERYTHING! I was pleasantly surprised so often at all of her thoughtful touches and things she remembered so that your stay is the most comfortable- what a pro! Didn’t hurt that she was also very nice to talk to :) The house is spotless and very comfortable immediately. It is obviously a cozy, small place, but it is perfect.

    Lora2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Linda's place is located just outside of the centre of Helensburgh, about a 5 minute stroll into the centre. A lovely little cottage with everything you would need for a quiet getaway to Scotland. Milk, juice and breakfast bits were a lovely extra touch, as were the umbrellas!

    David2019-12-16T00:00:00Z
  • Linda’s flat was lovely - incredibly clean, homely and full of nice touches to make the stay extra special! Great location right by the water and near to Helensburgh which has some nice pubs and cafes. Would highly recommend!

    Lucy2019-11-18T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful little cottage in a very good location for travel to the Loch Lomond area and western Scotland. There were lots of amenities on offer, and we appreciated the little jug of milk in the fridge so we could have a cup of tea after a long drive up. Everything was clean and in good order, and the bed was very comfy. We would definitely recommend 'The Little House' to other travellers.

    Cherie2019-11-15T00:00:00Z
  • Linda's place is a true gem right in the heart of Helensburgh, just a few steps from the water front. The conservatory is absolutely beautiful and makes it easy to relax after a long day of exploring. Helensburgh is a quaint little town with very nice restaurants and it's in the perfect location to head out to Loch Lomond and the Highlands. Communication was easy and Linda was extremely welcoming. Overall, I highly recommend a stay at Linda's place! :)

  • Great location, very responsive host and clean flat! Thanks,

    James2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • We booked this flat as a weekend get away. It is lovely, fresh and stylish in appearance and very comfortable. Really easy to get to, especially if you arrive at Helensburgh Central train station, it is a 5 minute walk along the street. Close to lots of cafes, restaurants and the water front. Easy commuter links elsewhere thanks to trains and buses - if you don't want to use the car. Lovely extra touches of all things Scottish which we loved - and we ARE Scottish! A great wee bolt hole and we wish we'd booked another night. If you are a light sleeper you should know that the combination boiler is located in a cupboard in the bedroom - pack ear plugs and you won't know it is there.
