This place is in a great location. There was a lot of snow while we were there, which made it a little more difficult to walk around the city. Sharon was great about helping us navigate the winter parking bans that were instituted because of the snow. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants the ability to exploring the city on foot.

Cute space that was perfect for a one-night stay. $5 Uber to the Old Port and a 10 minute walk from a great brewery that was decently busy on a Sunday afternoon. Would definitely stay again!

Angela’s place was cute and perfect for what we needed! The parking map was super helpful, as was the binder with all the local suggestions. The shower is great and I loved the spiral staircase - super cute! It was easy to call Lyft whenever we needed a ride and left the car parked in the street with free parking all weekend. Definitely a good spot to stay in Portland!

Angela's place was great. It was exactly as described so there were no surprises! The apartment was small, but it was a perfect space for our time there. The bathroom was amazing and the bed was super comfortable. The binder that was made was such a thoughtful and helpful touch. I plan to stay here again during the summer months, but even in the winter it was still in such a walkable location. I definitely recommend this place!

We are giving Ralph 5 stars even though we didn’t get to stay at his location due to unexpected maintenance issues with a furnace. However Ralph went above and beyond to make sure we got the trip we were looking forward to, he gave us number options to make sure we were able to find a suitable replacement. He gave us knowledge and places we need to see in the city. He was extremely hospitable and will for sure be booking another trip to Portland again soon to stay in Ralph’s air bnb!

Ralph was an excellent host! It is very apparent he is extremely thorough and thoughtful when it comes to welcoming guests. He was very responsive and never left me hanging. My stay in Portland was short but his space definitely made it feel comfortable and cozy. It was very stylish and clean and very easy to feel at home at. His local recommendations were extensive and well researched. I would highly recommend this space!

Apartment was larger than expected. Well furnished and had more than we could ask for when it came to appliances. The apartment is walking distance to the main restaurants and bars but if you choose to drive Uber’s were cheap (5-7 dollars) for everywhere we needed to go. Ralph is a great host, I plan on coming back to this apartment for any future visits. Highly recommend.

Place was clean, well lit and extremely comfortable. Ample street parking and was located in a great area for walking to and from spots in Portland.

Ralph is fast to respond and offers great local tips in his welcome packet. The place is very well decorated and super clean. Only thing is 2 hour parking is enforced 9-5 Mon-Sat. for street parking. It didn't impact us, but just something to be aware about when staying longer.

This is an amazing spot and place to stay. Ralph met us for check-in, gave us a tour of the apartment and amenities, and gave us some great tips for adventures. Tony’s place is so charming and comfortable! Small, but very cute and perfect for two people who want a cabin getaway, still close to the lively city of Portland! :) The place is very clean, and Tony was the ideal host— responsive and helpful. We felt confident that if we needed anything, he was a short text message or call away! When we arrived, an essential oil diffuser was on, which made it feel like home right away. We miss it already!

Tony's little cabin was perfection! His design style and creativity is awesome. All the amenities you need for a weekend away. Very comfortable bed pillows and furniture. The kitchen is anything to people could want so you don't have to eat out for three meals a day. Location to Olde Port and all surrounding towns is fantastic can't go wrong booking this place.

Tony’s place was exactly what we were looking for. It was a bit small but had everything we needed for our short stay (2 1/2 days). True to his advertisement, we never saw him but knew he was nearby if we needed anything. Great value!!

This was a very last minute trip up to Portland and Tony was very accommodating. The cottage is very cozy and has everything you could need. It is apparent that Tony really cares about his space and wants to provide the best experience for his guests. We can’t wait to be back!

I booked Tony's place for one of my employees who was traveling to Maine for work. There was an unexpected snow storm that required her to check in a day earlier than planned, and also lengthen the stay. Tony was incredibly responsive, friendly, and accommodating to the last-minute changes.

Daniel and Ben’s place is spacious, beautifully bright and sunny, and conveniently located. I loved that the apartment had all of the amenities you could ever need! It was just a quick ride (or walk) away from tons of great places to eat and explore. Portland has so much to offer even during the off season. Daniel’s communication was extremely quick and his messages were thorough and clear. We were given the opportunity to check out later than stated and we highly appreciated that. Great place centrally located and no more than a 5 minute drive from everywhere we visited in Portland. Surplus of breweries, restaurants, and bars nearby, many of them within walking distance. We have a large vehicle so street parking was a bit of a struggle, but as long as you’re okay with walking a block or 2, it’s not really a problem.

I am so impressed with this place; it was a beautiful space, very close to downtown but also easy to get to any of the main roads out of Portland, and such a great value. I loved having off-street parking and Katrina was very clear and quick with her directions and responses. I would love to stay here again!

Katrina has a lovely space very well located close to the main Portland thoroughfare. The space was clean and cozy; my wife and I enjoyed relaxing there each evening on a cozy couch and very comfortable bed. Katrina was also very responsive and her instructions on accessing the room were very clear. We’ve stayed in several Airbnb’s in Portland and this is definitely our favorite!

We were very happy with our stay. The bedroom is much nicer than the photo suggests, tastefully furnished with hotel quality bedding. I contacted Katrina once and got an instant response. The entire unit is warmed by an electric heater in the living room and it works very well (we were there on a very cold weekend); we were nervous when we arrived because the bedroom was chilly, but we turned the heat up a bit and that took care of it. I would happily stay there again on a future trip to Portland!

I had to cancel my trip due to some sudden unfortunate circumstances and Katrina was very understanding. She was helpful, quick with responses and kind. My cancellation was on such short so I figured I would not get any refund (which I was totally okay with) but Katrina was super nice and refunded the cleaning fee for me. I recommend staying with her and know I will for my future visits to Portland 🙂

Nick's Place is in proximity to everything and what a value for the money! We had an entire two floor/two bedroom apartment to ourselves within a mile of the Old Port. Nick was awesome with speedy replies and when the weather got treacherous he made sure we had off-street parking.

We had a wonderful trip to Portland and made even better by this wonderful Air BnB! It’s in a great location, about 10 minutes to downtown Portland, very clean, and many amenities including lots of blankets and toiletries. The apartment is great for a couple, friends, or family. It’s very nice to have a full kitchen as well! There was coffee for the Kureig machine, water bottles in the fridge and even candies around the apartment! Thank you for a great trip-would definitely stay here again :)

This place was so much more than we expected! They had every little detail covered! We had privacy the whole time and were able to do a load of laundry before we headed back home. A 10$ Uber ride away from Old Port and the downtown area of Portland, and they were quick to answer any questions we had. Thanks guys for an amazing stay!

Really incredible spot. The hosts truly thought of every amenity and went above and beyond. Only thing of note is that if you’re a light sleeper, bring earplugs because it’s a thin ceiling. Absolutely no complaints though. Perfect experience.

Awesome space and location! It's tiny but cute, and it's a great starting point to see the city! There's a single room and a small bathroom, but there's a cute sitting area in the room and tons of space to put your luggage.

One of the best Airbnb’s I’ve stayed at! I work from home and the Internet was very fast, neighborhood and building very quiet, and tons of natural light in the studio that made it a wonderful place to work. The bed was also super comfortable and the pour over coffee was delicious! Would definitely return!

You will appreciate having an all-day parking space, a big help because street parking is limited in central Portland. And, Michelle’s location is a quick stroll to both Congress Street and Old Port!

Unfortunately we couldn’t stay long but it was easy to get in and out. The space is clean and organized and is on the first floor. Parking space is closer than you’d expect if you take the right walking route. The bathroom may be a bit of a squeeze if you’re taller than 6’ but has everything you need. Great value, definitely recommend!

Great place a little removed from downtown that still offers great walkability and comfort.

I was looking for a easy overnight stay in Portland to attend a work event. Michelle's place was perfect. Really easy to get to, really easy to get into, off street parking ended up being a big plus as a snow storm hit that night, and the room itself was perfect. It's a really spacious one room apartment with a cute and very clean bathroom. Really big and comfortable bed and everything needed right there. Plenty of room for bags and spreading out and a fantastic coffee situation for the morning. I would definitely recommend this place!

Can’t say enough great things about Michelle’s! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Great location, adorable studio, super clean, and lovely touches such as coffee from a local roaster. My favorite part was the handwritten guest book with tips from not only Michelle but all the travelers who stayed there before us. Highly recommend!

For me, traveling on a tight budget, my favorite part was the full kitchen, as I could prep meals during my stay instead of always eating out. Grocery stores (including Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods) are only a couple of minutes away by car- very convenient! The skylights are a really charming feature, and things are decorated so nicely. I felt right at home!

Quiet, clean and cozy space in the West End. Everything is walkable. Perfect for my brief stay!!

This apartment was absolutely perfect for our short stay in Portland! It snowed the first day of our trip, so having off street parking during a city wide ban was a major plus. A snow shovel and rock salt were provided inside the apartment, but we were pleasantly surprised to see someone shoveled for us and salted overnight. We had an issue with the front door sticking the following morning, but our host was quick to respond to and remedy the situation. Overall the space was extremely clean, organized, and stylish. We didn't do much walking on account of the cold weather, but we were definitely close to everything we wanted to do. I highly recommend this apartment!

We were so pleased to stay in this space for our Portland getaway. Such a perfect location! Easily able to walk to the downtown area, and the parking space in the driveway is a major plus. What a great location! We were able to walk to highly rated restaurants and Tandem coffee shop. Driving anywhere downtown took us less than 10 minutes. We were very pleased with our stay and would love to come back!!

Our stay in Portland was perfect - Mackenzie and Mattie's place was spacious, clean, and was an easy walk to all of our favorite places on Congress street - it was an especially great place to stay with our pup because of how close it was nearby parks and the esplanade. Next time we're in Portland, this is the first place I'm checking for availability. Gary literally thought of (and did) everything it takes to make someone's stay perfect here. The place was immaculately clean upon our arrival, the decor is Maine / Portland themed (tastefully), and every little amenity you could think of was available. They provided thoughtfully written out guides on the neighborhood, local restaurants, and other fun things to do. I honestly don't think there's anything that Gary could improve on!

This apartment was great! Excellent location, responsive host, plus the apartment was beautiful and well decorated. I didn't realize "historic" in the listing's title was literal, but it actually does have a really cool history which is explained in a really fun way! I would happily rent this apartment out for another weekend trip some time soon!

Terrific location, includes parking! all amenities provided. The studio apt is in a great neighborhood in the Arts district, in my opinion much preferable than Old Port. Close to great restaurants and bars, within a mile of Old Port fun. Everything we needed was provided, the kitchen had what we needed to make meals. I saw a review that said the apt was small, I didn’t find that to be true. We had plenty of space. I would say a very large person might find the kitchen and bathroom snug but not a problem for most. The host’s folder of suggestions of things to do and restaurants/bars was very helpful. I hope to stay here again soon!

Nova’s apartment was in a great location for our weekend trip to Portland. It’s a cozy space and an easy walk to downtown. Her detailed instructions made check-in easy.

This place is a PRIME location. We barely used our car. We were able to have late nights around the town since the location was walking distance to the bars. Nova leaves a very thoughtful booklet of local tips and places that's very helpful. I'd book this Airbnb again.

What a great spot, and excellent location to explore Portland's art district and Longfellow square. The space itself was both cozy and well appointed. My partner and I would return anytime.

Nova was a great host with quick responses and was very resourceful. She had a ton of great suggestions for things to do and the location of her place was great. Congress St., which is only a couple of blocks away, had awesome restaurants and bars. The bed in the place was extremely comfortable, especially after a camping trip. Would highly recommend this place for a 1 or 2 person stay.

This is a cute space! It is a little smaller than I anticipated from the pictures, but we were in town for a wedding so we weren’t in the room much. Definitely a good location and is walkable to the old port as well as a bunch of restaurants and other spots close by. Very clean and easy check in.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The apt is in a historic row house on a quaint side street. Its on the third floor so a few flights of stairs are required. The space itself is huge and full of character: 2 bedrooms (1 very large), living room, small kitchen. Plenty of room for a family. Beds were very comfy and the place was super quiet. The location is a few blocks from shopping and restaurants. We would definitely stay here again!

Ralph was a great host and the apartment was very nice and cozy! The master bedroom was huge, and there was plenty of space for us to spread out and relax. The location was great too, even though it was freezing out, everything we needed was only a short walk away. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to stay near downtown Portland.

Ralph’s place is clean, charming and in a great location. It is within easy walking distance of lots of shops and restaurants. We would definitely go back.

This apartment is great. It’s very spacious and conveniently located. Ralph was easy to coordinate with and he even made sure to have the big game already on tv when we arrived so we didn’t have to hunt for the right channel. My only suggestion would be a bigger ceiling mount shower rod for the shower curtains. Because it’s smaller than the tub, the curtain suctioned to me as soon as I stepped in. It’s an easy fix, and definitely not something that would deter me from staying here again.

Ralph’s apartment in the historical building was clean, warm, and had all that the 4 of us needed for our over night stay. We visited during January and Ralph was very helpful with proactive communications about parking bans due to a snow storm and where to find alternative free or paid parking options. The apartment is centrally located and offers many choices within walking distance for delicious dinner and breakfast. (We chose Mi Sen Thai and Tandem Bakery and were not disappointed by either). We would not hesitate to stay here again.

This is a really spacious, sunny, comfortable full apartment, at a great location in Portland. The unit has everything you would need to make a few meals (even a dishwasher), and really fine quality sheets, towels, beds, and a true claw foot bathtub/shower. Ralph is working really hard to be a good neighbor to the surrounding housing and he expects guests to do the same by following the house rules. Ralph was very helpful with directions and local attractions.

First let me say that communication was first rate. Always heard back from Ralph within minutes. He met us at the apartment upon check in, which we appreciated. The location was perfect for us. What an absolutely charming apartment. The studio is huge and has absolutely everything that a visitor could want or need. We had a very short spur of the moment trip to Portland and felt very lucky to have found an apartment that was pet friendly with a fenced in yard. I will definitely go back to Portland (great little city) and when I do I hope to be able to stay again at this darling apartment.

Pete's place is the perfect space for a quick stay in Westbrook and AWESOME if you have a dog. The fenced in back yard was fantastic and the loaner chew toys were much appreciated (we loved the artwork, by the way...).

Pete had a very unique apartment. Part of it almost felt like I was living inside an art exhibition! Harley (my dog) and I stayed here for a day. Pete was very accommodating of having a dog and left very clear instructions for everything and check in was a very easy process. There is also access to a fenced in backyard which is ideal for anyone traveling with a pet. The location is also amazing as it is a very close driving distance from the docks/main hub of Portland. Will definitely stay again if I visit!

Marsha's directions were very clear on how to locate the key, which door to use and the general rules of the place. The room was very tide, and the unexpected view of the bay was a welcome surprise, would definitely stay here again.

This is the coziest and warmest space. Waking up to the sunrise over the water was just the cherry on top of a great room. The area is about a 20 minute walk to downtown restaurants and venues. Marsha and Krista were wonderful hosts that thought of everything :)

Great stay with Marsha - we appreciated the nice touches (e.g., coffee, tea). It was a ~15-20 minute walk to downtown Portland. Check in was easy and Marsha was communicative. The only downside is having to walk through the backyard in the snow and up a tiny staircase (as noted in the listing).

We were fortunate enough to stay with Marsha overnight in Portland. Being my first AirBnB experience I was honestly a little skeptical. Honestly Marsha blew us away. She was clean, organized, accommodating, and friendly. I'd have no hesitation recommending her to anyone else in the future. In fact I've already shared my experience with my peers and they have noted Marsha's AirBnB for their trips.

Great room in a great area of town. View of the water from the room was nice. Could walk to many places or take a quick ride-share. Felt like I experienced a part of Portland history.

Marsh'a place was an excellent place in downtown Portland! Easy to get to and just a short walk into the heart of the city. The place was very clean. I'd definitely recommend for a short stay in the area!

This is my third time staying in Portland, the first time was a hotel and this is my second Airbnb and I've got to give this one the best review for location. If you want a very walkable vacation, stay here. It's very clean, cute and cozy and so conveniently located to entertainment, food and bars whatever time of day you're looking for them.

The location of this apartment really can’t be beat. Convenient to all that downtown Portland has to offer. As others have noted, the space has some quirks but for a pair of folks under 5’3 it was just fine! We worried some about the one hour parking signs but left our car on the street all day on Saturday without an issue.

Great location for a week trip to Portland. The low ceilings in the bed room did not bother me or my 5'11" boyfriend. Would go back anytime!!

This place is centrally located which makes walking or getting on the bus a breeze! Asher was very responsive and the self check in was really easy.

There was a bit of miscommunication with the host but he apologized and made up for it by leaving us a bottle of Prosecco which was very nice! Overall a great stay in Portland. Just a quick 20 min walk to the Old Port/Downtown area. Would definitely recommend!!

Michelle’s place was very convenient in downtown Portland next to the main strip of shops and restaurants. The apartment was clean and ready to go when we got there. Had everything we needed for a weekend getaway. Highly recommend staying here!

This was a perfect spot for our weekend trip to Portland. Pretty much everything we wanted to do in town was a ten second to ten minute walk away. The apartment also has several great views of downtown. Check in was easy, the apartment was pristine, and Michelle offered multiple suggestions of things to do and see.

Michelle’s place is a perfect location to explore Portland. It was easy to get to, and a comfortable stay for my 4 nights in the city. They offered great recommendations for the city, and were super responsive throughout my entire trip. Everything was simple and just easy. I highly recommend!

My stay at Shalini's was incredible. The space is cozy and comfortable. As I was traveling alone, I felt extremely safe. The location was perfect for all the activities I wanted to do. On street parking was easy to find. Shalini has a binder of house information as well as many recommendations for places to eat and activities. I followed her advice and went to Soakology, a 10-15 minute walk down the main road from the house, for an hour foot soak. The front deck was enjoyable in the silence of the morning with coffee from the provided coffee press. I arrived after sunset, the temperature was freezing (being that it is February in Maine) and the heat was already pumping in the house. It was the most enjoyable stay. Thank you, Shalini!

We were very pleased with the neighborhood from which we easily get to our daughter's home in the Back Cove and also all the wonderful shops and restaurants downtown. The place itself was charming and clean and had all the kitchen and bath stuff that anyone would need. Will definitely go back. We had one small problem which didn't affect our stay, nor would it keep us from going back. I mention it only because we were so surprised and pleased with how quickly it was dealt with and resolved.

Clean, apartment has a nice style and is very good for kids. My son spent the morning trying the origami and looking at the books. For those who speak Spanish, one hundred percent recommended, comfortable and clean. Many extras like a vinyl player and many LPs, my son spent reading books that had been included and making origami

This is what Airbnb is all about! Ian checked in with me before our arrival to see if there was anything he could help with. He gave us some excellent recommendations for places to go. Ian and Jessica have done an amazing job of making the apartment homey, cozy, and welcoming. They've thought of everything! The decorating is modern/eclectic and creative. There was everything imaginable in the kitchen that you could possibly need for cooking and eating meals there. The bathroom was fully stocked as well. We found special little touches … like a chess set, books and magazines to read, the vinyl record player … all incredibly thoughtful. The bed was comfy and they even had a fan which I use at home for white noise. Felt right at home. Convenient to everything in Portland and South Portland … we will definitely be back. Easy to see why Ian and Jessica are rated as Super hosts!!!

This is an awesome spot in a pretty quiet neighborhood close to everything! Ian and Jessica know how to make a space stylish and inviting! Warm, comfy bed, good water pressure, private, easy access.. and we were able to bring the pup! Highly recommend.

Perfect isn’t even the word! It’s located at a walking distance to so many shops including hot suppa, boda and even a 7/11 for a late night bite. The place itself is awesome. Parking right out back, entrance steps away, kitchen was big with all the necessary things for a quick breakfast, living room was perfect size, roku on tv, bed was behind a wall but so perfectly well put - gave the right amount of privacy, the bathroom was very roomy although the shower itself is a little small still gets the job done, washer/dryer came in handy. Like i said perfect is not even the word! We will definitely be coming back. So much we didn’t get to do in our 3 days. Only a short 5-10 min drive to some great water view restaurants - Luke’s, DiMillos. Brian was super quick to respond when we needed an extra hour to check out.

We had a fantastic stay at Brian's place. It is on a nice, quiet street, but is within easy walking distance to restaurants, bars, etc. If we lived in Portland, we would love to live in this neighborhood. We also greatly appreciated the parking space, since there was some snow and ice our first evening in town. A perfect spot for a couple!

Nice apartment on Congress Street. Close to lots of restaurants, coffee shops, bars, and easy 10 minute walk down to the old port area. Off street parking is in an uncovered lot about a block away, which it was convenient. There is some street noise from Congress Street below, but there is a noise machine in the bedroom that did a good job of drowning out all of that at night. All in all, would definitely stay again!

Truly a perfect AirBnb!! The location is amazing. My husband and I wanted to see a lot of Portland in a short period of time, and we liked being right in the middle of everything. I'm a stickler for cleanliness and this place was the cleanest AirBnb ever. I was so happy with everything about it. The check-in was easy and I never even had to contact the host. We are heavy sleepers and city people, so the noise outside wasn't an issue, but if you're looking for something quiet this is NOT your place. It's lively outside as one floor down are restaurants and bars. Nothing out of the ordinary for a main street.

This is an adorable loft that’s literally a five minute walk from great restaurants and cafes. Everything was perfectly clean and the layout of the apartment makes it feel very spacious. Had a great first experience in Portland and we can’t wait to come back!

Lovely apartment in an historic neighborhood. Very quiet area. Right near a beautiful park. Our stay included ice skating there with our grandson! There's also a farmer's market in the spring/summer/fall. The apartment is just a few blocks from the main strip, Congress Avenue, loaded with restaurants, book stores, antique shops and other amenities. The furnishings create a calm atmosphere, the beds are comfortable, and the kitchen is great to work in. Very light and airy overall. Highly recommended. The hosts are super responsive to queries.

The space was clean, well styled, and had the necessities we were looking for (body wash, tea, extra blankets for example.) Check in was super easy and parking was convenient.

Great space, very clean and comfortable, with lots of natural sunlight. A cute living room overlooks the back yard. It’s an attic apartment with slanted walls. And although it’s not a full kitchen (no oven or stove), the microwave oven, toaster, and electric tea kettle were all we needed.
