  • This is a great Maine camp. The location puts you off the beaten track but gives you access to the lakes and trails. We were happy to have the wood stove each night, and appreciated how kind our hosts were. It’s everything you want and need, if you’re looking for a rental in this part of Maine.

  • I loved Bill and Kristen's cabin and land. It offers a lot of privacy and backs right into the trails. There is a lot of deer outside often. It's so peaceful there. They add so many nice touches too! I loved the heated mattress covers ready to use and I was impressed by the whole house heater. Always love a good wood stove too! It was a wonderful, comfy and clean cabin to stay in that's also great for groups. I would love to come back with some friends and snowmobile some winter. Thanks!

  • If you’re looking for a low key location and place to stay, the lodge is definitely a highly recommended spot. Bill and Kristen were very welcoming and hospitable! Our dogs had a blast as well. We hiked the trails and got to see the deer at all hours of the day which was fun to watch. Bissell Bro’s brewery was a lot of fun as well. All in all a great, relaxing weekend getaway.

  • Great accommodations for four guys on an ice fishing trip. Plenty of room for vehicles with trailers. Enjoyed being in the woods with no visible Neighbors. Loved having the wood stove after a cold day on the ice.

  • Nice place to stay. Lots of room. Close to snowmobile trails

  • We absolutely loved Andrea's place on the lake, it was everything you think about when staying on a lake, great views, homey feeling, beautiful fire place. We only wished we had more time to spend there enjoying it.

    Patrice2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • A comfortable, cozy place to stay in a beautiful part of Maine. Enjoy!

    Michele2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin was more than we expected. I stayed for a month as I worked remotely. The cabin is ON the water, right on the water. We could open our widows at night and hear the waves against the shore. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed for an extended stay and the space was super comfortable and cozy - it felt like home right away. The trees in that area were amazing colors in October and we had the perfect Maine experience. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Andrea and Tooty were great hosts, super responsive, very informative, and just nice people. We enjoyed it VERY MUCH.

    Kara2019-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • Gorgeous cabin and location. Looking forward to visiting again!

    Krysta2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely stunning! My family loved our stay, we were comfortable the second we walked in. Great amenities and we loved having everything available to cook some meals. Andrea and Tooty were super quick to respond and really made our stay great! Can’t wait to return in the warmer months!

    Allison2019-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful and friendly hosts! The cabin was THE perfect spot for our honeymoon. Less than 2 hours away from Acadia and Baxter State Park, which were our highlights! Truly fantastic trip, we’ll be coming back soon!

    Alyssa2019-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • This is a beautiful cabin right on the water , you can sit on the deck and enjoy the view , go canoeing or kayaking or just relax on the lakefront deck with the beverage of your choice and take it all in ! The kitchen has all you would need to cook your meals , or not - there are several good restaurants within driving distance and the ones we tried were really good , There is a public swimming beach about a 5 minute walk away , so if you have kids along , they will have fun , you don’t have to bring along everything you own , , , the cabin has a washer & dryer , so you can pack light , and wash your stuff when needed, And if you have a rainy day there is satellite tv If there’s a problem or questions Andrea is just a phone call or text away and she will quickly come to the rescue ! This reminds me of the Minnesota cabin we have visited for the last 30 years ! What a GREAT PLACE !!

    Dennis2019-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • My friend , travels worldwide and was delighted with accommodations. Friends are inquiring after seeing our pictures. Andrea was prompt in answering all questions. We felt welcome and comfortable in a lovely setting.

  • This place is a rustic, little hideaway, if you need some much needed R & R. The owners have thought of everything you may need. They communicate, and offer any help, needed. They are next door, so if you are traveling alone, this helps. It was a winter wonderland during our visit, which made it very peaceful. We hope to visit again.

    Lisa2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Everything about our stay and the hospitality we received was amazing. Arrival on Valentine's day my children found a care package that they loved. The whole place is amazing and extremely cozy even in a very cold winter! We we're sad to leave and already are looking to return. I recommend this cabin and host to anybody.

    Matthew2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • This was truly a great spot! I was looking for a place to get away for a solo Christmas retreat and Andrea's house fit the bill perfectly. There weren't many people at the lake during the week and I was able to enjoy some solitude. The views were amazing, the cabin was cozy and warm. And I enjoyed watching sunrises from the couch over the lake! I would definitely return. I imagine it is a totally different vibe in the summer as well. Andrea left great instructions and the cabin had everything I needed for a lovely stay! She even left a thoughtful little Christmas gift of chocolate, socks a mug and a card for me. So sweet! Thank you for a perfect spot for my week Andrea!!

  • We had a fantastic time staying at 24 Holiday Lane! We came up for the weekend to participate in the Millinocket half marathon and after an exhausting race on Saturday, the cabin was the perfect place to relax. Everything was very cozy and clean, and it provided everything we could need to enjoy the weekend. We especially appreciated the well equipped kitchen. Our group had a great time cooking, playing card games, and enjoying the amazing lake views (especially the gorgeous sunrise). We will definitely be coming back!

    Tyler2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place to stay!

    Joe2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • 24 Holiday Lane was wonderful, a perfect getaway even in November. Views of the lake right off the cabin deck and out the windows with awesome sunrises were perfect. We even enjoyed the sound of the small waves produced by the wind across the lake at night with our bedroom window slightly open. Everthing was clean and nicely appointed.

    The Bradley2019-11-07T00:00:00Z
  • Great place with awesome views, good for relaxing getaways. Not far from town, even though it's so cozy you don't want to leave. Will definitely come back in the summer.

    bobby2019-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • Incredible views from this well appointed cabin. Tons of thoughtful touches made our stay awesome. Communication with Andrea was great, she was very considerate. We'll be back again!

Have an authentic Maine experience in the peace and quiet of Pushaw Lake. Relax by your fire pit, go for a swim, take a kayak ride, go fishing and fall asleep to the sound of loons across the water. Located 15 minutes from Bangor's blossoming downtown district. Be "away from it all" and yet not too far away from things you might want to do in town. The weather is getting colder, Howie is still a great place for hunters. I’ll even provide a hot meal at the end of the day. For a fee, of course!
As a guest, you will have full access to the lake. There is a floating dock about 100 yards into the lake that is a fun spot for jumping off or for sun bathing. You will have HOWie all to yourself which includes running water, but not hot water. BUT you also have access to my guest bathroom inside my home which includes a shower and washer/dryer. No wild parties please, but I don't mind noise. I am a fairly sound sleeper and you can feel comfortable enjoying yourself around the fire at night.
The only noise you will hear out here will be the birds and the occasional boat. It is a very relaxing place that makes you feel immersed in nature. Yet if you would like to go into town, Bangor has a very cool, quaint, downtown scene including breweries, coffee shops, unique stores, bars and restaurants. Ask me for suggestions!!
  • Marylee provides great hospitality and nice clean lodging at a great rate. . The site is right on a lake and has some amazing scenery. You can’t go wrong with this rental.

    Jason2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • The experience of the place is magical, you have the lake very close, the experience of sleeping in a mobile home and the friendliness of Maryleen is great.

    Sai2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • We had a quick stay at Marylee’s place but it was nice and cozy! The bed is super comfortable and the lake by the house is beautiful. Unfortunately, we didn’t have time to use the kayaks or anything but it was still nice view :) If you’re using Google Maps, it directed us to the wrong area, FYI, but Apple Maps was correct. If you’re passing by the area, it’s definitely a cute and cheap accommodation!

    Eve2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • This place brought back childhood memories!

    Laverne2019-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • I felt so at home in my own trailer with a comfortable mattress. The sounds and smells of the lake allowed me to relax. Marylee is such a charming host and opens up her spacious bathroom with plenty of supplies in it for showers. I wish I could have stayed longer.

    Sherry2019-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • The House on Wheels is cozy, private, and clean and the host, MaryLee is friendly and responsive. My daughter and I spent one day out on beautiful Lake Pushaw with kayaks and an evening next to the fire, both provided by our host. The area is wooded and quiet, and close to Bangor and Orono. A very good value for such an experience.

    Gretchen2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Cute, chic old RV, and Marylee is very kind. A great spot to stopover!

Spacious rooms, quiet, fully equipped kitchen, lovely deck and nice fire pit where you get a beautiful view of the sunrise and sunset. A weekend wasn't enough time to enjoy all the amenities available. The master bedroom and master bath was awesome! Spacious, clean, comfortable and you feel so at home. Will definitely book again.

  • Brent’s cabin was perfect for a weekend out of the city!!!

    Jéssica2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Brent was a thoughtful and helpful host. If you’re looking for a real Maine lake cabin experience this is your spot. The cabin is very basic, it is a traditional lakeside summer camp cabin. It was rustic but very clean and neat, simple and clutter free. There’s a little dock and plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy the lake and fire pit. At night you can hear the loons calling out on the lake. Great pond for fishing as well! We would love to visit again.

    Amy2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • We love this lake house!

    Bri2019-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • This place was immaculate and the most quiet and peaceful place I've ever stayed at. The sounds of the lake, breeze, crackling wood in the fire pit, and loons were so needed. Ed and Michelle were the best hosts. They met us at the house and were sooo understanding when we arrived later than expected. They answered immediately when we had questions and constantly told us to contact them if we had any problems. They also gave us our privacy even though they live close by and could pop in at any time. It was a perfect get away that we all enjoyed. We will definitely stay again in the future😃

    Jen2019-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • Great place, the place was very clean and comfortable. The beach is sandy in the water and around the dock, great for people who like swimming but don't like stepping on slimy vegetation and sharp rocks. The kitchen was amply stocked with pots and pans for cooking, plenty of fridge space. The pool table in the basement is also in great condition. My friends and I were blown away by this place for the value.

    Filipe2019-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay! The lake is beautiful and the water was warmer than we expected. The house is totally stocked! They seriously have everything you can think of. Communication was great. We would definitely stay again.

    Monica2019-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful lake getaway, pictures don’t say enough.

    Angela2019-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • The house is beautiful, as is the location. We had several delays prior to checking in (family surprised us at the airport and the directions from Google were just wrong) but the hosts were so patient - even at 10 pm. This was our first experience using AirBNB so we weren't sure what to expect but it was fantastic. If you are looking for a rental in that area, I highly recommend The Loon House.

  • What a great space! Super convenient for our needs. Comfortable space for 5 with 2 full bathrooms. No light pollution and it was cool to hear the deer and see a whole flock of Blue Jays feasting off the front deck in the morning. Libby was speedy in all responses and her suggestion to download the directions before you get to Big Pine Road is spot on (there’s no cell service past The Junction). Will definitely stay here again next year.

    Robbin2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Libby and Craig are wonderful hosts. The camp was exactly what we were looking for and more. The view was breath taking. Perfect size for our family. Snowmobile trial at the bottom of the road. All questions answered and more, Craig knows his way around for sure. We can only imagine the beauty in the rest of the seasons. Maine is truly the way life should be!!! Thank you both. • This is a great place to stay! Very clean and orderly in a nice, just out of town location. The living room couch is sooooo comfortable! The host is very accommodating and the snowmobile trails were right down the road. The 2 full bathrooms were very convenient for getting ready in the morning. Would definitely stay there again!

    Matt2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely fantastic cabin for our snowmobile trip. Easy access to trails, ample parking, two bathrooms was key. Really nice cabin with a great view. The hosts were exceptional, answered my many questions and when we had trouble figuring out the stove they were there in minutes. We won't hesitate to stay here again.

    Matt2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome place to stay! I highly recommend this place.

    Brenda2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was beautiful it looked exactly how it looked in the pictures. We did get a little lost when looking for the cabin but Libby and her family were nice enough to direct us there. Libby and her family were extremely accommodating during our time there. She answered all of our questions extremely really fast. There was no connection out there because it was so far into the woods and the wifi barely worked but other than that it was a great trip and we really enjoyed it!

    Chelsea2019-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • If you're looking for a secluded log cabin in the mountains of Maine with beautiful views, then this is the place for you. The views of the mountains were breathtaking, especially at sunset. The cabin itself was very clean and had everything we needed to enjoy the weekend. Libby and Craig were great hosts and went out of their way to install an AC unit for some hot days. Also, the deer farm on the property was awesome to check out. We saw some beautiful bucks. Just a note, make sure you bring heavy duty bug spray, which was well communicated to us by Libby.

  • My partner and I stayed here over a weekend and loved our experience. John and Kathie are such kind and warm hosts. We really felt at home- and we especially loved their sweet dogs! John went out of his way to take me downtown to go ice skating, and showed us where to go x-country skiing on the lake and the nearby trails (wonderful XC skiing by the way). They also gave us a great recommendation for dinner out. Breakfast was home cooked and so delicious, we felt so spoiled. Our room and shared bathroom were sparkling clean and we slept very well. I would recommend this spot to anyone. Thank you John and Kathie! We hope so be back some day soon!

    Bethany2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • An amazing place to stay, beautifully decorated for the season, and very comfortable. We were awed by the fabulous breakfast made to order, which was perfect for our pre-race meal. Highly recommend staying here, lovely people.

    Heather2019-12-07T00:00:00Z
  • John and Kathie's place is charming, picturesque, like something out of a postcard. They both made a big effort to make us feel at home - letting us use the kitchen to cook dinner, use common spaces as freely as we wanted, paddle out in their kayaks on the adjacent lake etc. The house itself is beautiful, homey and sweet, breakfast is excellent - made by Kathie on the morning. Would definitely come back if we're ever in the area again.

  • Our stay with Kathie and John couldn’t have been lovelier. As with other reviewed, we have to rave about the amazing breakfast! But the home and property were just gorgeous, and we were lucky enough to see it at the height of foliage season. Most importantly, Kathie and John were tremendously generous and gracious to us when we were running late to check in after a grueling mountain climb. They welcomed us and made us feel right at home; we simply could not have had a better experience.

    Jessica2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • After a deep sleep we awoke in the morning by the smell of fresh Muffins. John was very welcoming , helpful and friendly and Cathies and Johns place is really georgious. Maybe we come back one day?

    Veronika2019-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay! The bed was comfortable, the room was spacious enough for the two of us and the bath, a but tiny but definitely manageable. The best part of our stay was the breakfast provided though we were planning to start early. It showed genuine concern and an amazing sense of hospitality. The location was awesome as well, it’s just by the lake and has an amazing view. Would totally go back here 👍🏻

    Anjani2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • A great place to stay. Beautiful, quiet spot by the water. Breakfast is delicious too!

    Elizabeth2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Great location with lots of fun things to do. There are kayaks and canoes to borrow with endless hiking possibilities. Add generous and helpful hosts..a spectacular breakfast and it’s a memorable place to visit.

  • Much better than we expected. Beautiful house in a beautiful location. Driveway can get a bit Icy and was a little difficult to get out of on one of the days we were there but nothing we couldn't handle. Karen also helped us out by sending in someone to plow the snow which helped us a great deal. Overall, an outstanding rental.

    Aditya2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • What a fantastic place to stay! It's a beautiful cabin and the setting is breathtaking. The cabin was sparkling clean with everything we needed. We could not have been happier with everything and we will definitely be back.

    Joy2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • I’ve rented several houses on different sites but this one just might be my total package. Clean accommodations, privacy, nice yard , dock, and lake access all wrapped up in a cute little town. Can’t wait to book again

    Holly2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing time and it was just what we needed. The lake house was so peaceful and the inside of the house was spectacular they did an incredible job. I loved the way it smelled :-). The house had everything we needed and Karen answered all our questions. Going in the fall we got to see some stunning colors and we had the pleasure of having an early morning fire by the lake which showcased morning fog and the rising sun. We would definitely return to this perfect little gem. Thank you so much Jaime and Kevin

    Jaime2019-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • This house has everything you could possibly want in a house: clean rooms, a fire pit, access to a pond/lake for swimming and boating, and of course the everyday essentials. We cannot wait to come back and spend more time in this quality house. It sets the expectations for other AirBnBs! Karen is very hospitable. She is always just a simple message away and she always answers in a timely manner.

    Brandon2019-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • The perfect lake cottage. We loved the kayaks. Wouldn’t change a thing.

    Dorrie2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • What an AMAZING weekend we had at Karen’s place! We had 4 adults, a 3yo and a 1yo and there was plenty of space for us all. It was spotless! The kids loved the water and the giant fire pit while the adults enjoyed countless games of corn hole and drinks on the enormous back deck! We will definitely be returning!

    Sara2019-08-12T00:00:00Z

  • Leon and his wife makes us feel like family when we go up to his camp. It’s a beautiful place with plenty of outdoor space. It’s always a good time at Leon’s! Thank you guys for sharing you little piece of heaven with us!

  • Really nice place, clean and tidy. You can rent kayaks from the owner who is friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended!

  • The cabin was perfect for my needs! It has a gorgeous view of Schoodic Lake! Space was clean and couldn't ask for nicer hosts.

    Tom2019-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • We feel so fortunate to have found this little gem available at a late date. The lake is beautiful and crystal clear. A joy to swim and play in! Leon was a warm and knowledgeable host. The cabin is small but clean and comfortable, with everything you need to have a great time. Access to the water is the main thing at this property. Would be perfect for small families with kids who love to swim, or folks who want to kayak on the lake.

    Donna2019-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying here. Leon & Lanie were both super friendly & helpful. They certainly went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The cabin was super cute and accommodated my family perfectly. The location was ideal as it was in close proximity to the landing for launching our boat which was very convenient. Leon even added some extra bumpers to his dock to ensure we could safely keep our boat there and was always around to help us if needed. We can’t wait for next summer to visit again. Many thanks to our hosts for a wonderful week on the lake!

    Christy2019-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • We had an awesome time at Leon’s place. Thank you for having us and I hope we can come up to camp again soon!

    Matthew2019-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely beautiful house right on the water. The house is the perfect size for a little vacation getaway on the water. Great fishing spots and Leon is an amazing host.

    Christopher2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • We had amazing time! Where to begin? Leon & Lanie were very friendly, welcoming, and have a great sense of humor. Leon went out of his way to tell us about local history and mythical stories ;) and helped us build a fire. Their place is small but it has everything you need and the area is beautiful. We definitely enjoyed our stay and wish we stayed longer. Thank you for everything!

  • The perfect cabin getaway tucked deep in the Maine woods. We loved our stay here - the perfect way to ring in the new year, in the peaceful snow with the dog! The cabin is close to town, though it simultaneously feels incredibly remote. We enjoyed a New Years snow shoe walk on the trail starting right behind the cabin. Brenda and Pete are the nicest and most accommodating hosts - we will be coming back again!

    Tess2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • We so enjoyed our stay this past weekend. Our cabin was lovely and cozy, and Brenda was a wonderful host! This stay exceeded my expectations- our cabin was just so comfortable and well appointed. We certainly would stay again when traveling to this area!

  • What an amazing air b n b experience! My experience at Patricia's place reminded me why this lodging model is so incredible. The room and house were (and stunning natural beauty) fabulous, but the real highlight was Patricia and Art. They were so kind and helpful and welcoming. They lent us their canoe, gave recommendations, and were just so pleasant. I feel like I've made two lifelong friends; this was like staying with relatives (the kind you really like :) I can't recommend this listing highly enough!

There is a deck with a table and two chairs attached to the Master Bedroom. The main house has a patio garden around back that guests are welcome to enjoy. Just added a window AC to the master bedroom.
We are located in a wooded area, but just off a road that heads straight into Bangor. Your space is totally private from the main house, although you may see or hear the hosts having a cookout or enjoying the back garden in good weather. You're welcome to join us if you do see us down there, but there is no obligation to do so. You have your own exclusive and private second floor deck for your own use.
We are rural, so plan for 15-20 minutes to get to nearest restaurants. There is a Dollar General 5 minutes away that is well stocked with snacks, supplies, and some groceries like milk, bread, butter, and eggs.

  • Our first time using Air bnb and it was amazing! Kelly and Jim’s places was perfect! We appreciated all the tips for the area. The space was much larger than we thought it was going to be. The location was great! Would recommend their place to anyone. Very friendly hosts.

  • Everything was as described. Big space with plenty of room. Very clean. Close to Bangor!

    Regina2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Extremely clean, beautiful spacious place to stay. Kelly's communication was excellent. Any questions I had she answered quickly. This was our first time using airbnb, so previous reviews definitely helped the process in picking this place to stay. We were extremely busy and didn't have a chance to meet Kelly face to face, but they were available if we needed them for any reason. This place has everything you might need! And there were some really nice appreciated touches! Kelly also offered help in getting around or finding things to do in the area. We will definitely stay again when in the area.

    Timothy &Amp; Kim2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Very peaceful and quiet. The space is huge with plenty of room to stretch out. The enormous kitchen is a pleasure to cook in and the little private deck off the master bedroom is a great place for morning coffee. Bangor is about 25 minutes away but it’s an easy drive.

    Robert2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Kelly's place as a base to go to Acadia national park. It takes about 1 hr 30 min to the Great head trail, so it was not that far from the park. Considering that the accomodations inside the Mt. desert island was more than the double of the price for Kelly's, I would definitely say this is a good choice for those who want to explore the park. On top of the location, the place was as advertised; clean, private, and spacious.

  • Debbie's place is very clean. Check-in was super easy. The kitchen had everything we needed. The listing said no private entrance, but there is a front and back door from the outside to the unit. The laundry is the only shared area. We would definitely stay here again.

Escape from everyone! spacious off grid 3 bedroom, 1.5 bath, access to atv trails. South Branch Lake is 5 miles from the camp for swimming, boating and fishing. If you enjoy hiking or mountain biking, you will find miles of old logging roads. If you are looking to see tourists, then this is not the place for you. The nearest gas station/convenience store is 20 minutes away in Howland. Located in Seboeis Maine with a population of about 30 people, you will not be bothered here.
The is an adventure. The camp is powered by a gas generator and has a modern propane cook stove with convection oven and propane frig. You will need to travel about 3 miles on a gravel road to get to the cabin. You will need a vehicle that has some clearance to avoid some areas of the road with rocks. A Subaru or similar vehicle will have no problem. The road to the camp is gated. You will be provided a key to the gate and will be required to keep the gate locked. Any questions please email or text me. Peter
This is a remote Wilderness Cabin that is powered by a generator and propane appliances. The nearest gas station/convenience store is in the town of Howland which is 20 minutes away. South Branch Lake is nearby so bring your kayak.
  • Than you Peter and Phil, the stay was great, we appreciated the tips on the good fishing and hunting areas. The cabin was perfect, we started hunting as soon as we walked out the door. The off grid was very comfortable the way you have it set up. The kayaks were much appreciated and enjoyed. All and all a great backwoods experience in Maine along with great host Thanks again Brian

  • If you are looking for some peace and quiet up North this is definitely the spot! Very fun trip, it’s an adventure in itself just making it to the cabin. Pete and Phil were great hosts, gave us our privacy and they know quite a bit about the local area, use them as resources! The cabin has three bedrooms and a pullout couch so it can certainly accommodate groups looking for a fun camping trip away from the crowds.

  • These are the cutest cabins on the most beautiful property!! The owners are so friendly and accommodating!!! The location is right on the snowmobile trails, and I wish they had ATV access!!! We will be back for sure!!

    Jennifer2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We came for a long weekend of snowmobiling, and the trails are right outside the cabin door. The cabin was sparkling clean and Brenda & Pete we’re perfect hosts. We especially liked that there was plenty of hot water for the 3 of us. (That is always hit or miss at some cabins we’ve stayed at). Overall, we had a great weekend and got plenty of riding in 😊

    Ray2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I drove all the way from Queens, NY to celebrate the 2020 New Year. From the moment we drove through the private road with all the punny signs, we knew we were in for a treat. We get there and our cabin is already set up for us, sparkling clean and already feeling like home. We cooked steaks on the standing grill, sat next to the fire pit for hours (my favorite), and took walks across the beautiful snow laced property. We brought a drone and took some of the most incredible footage. Brenda and Pete were more than accommodating and go as far as to plowing the roads so guests can safely leave/return. Their dogs Radar and Cupid were so sweet to our pooch and ended up being friends. Will definitely come back and would recommend this place to anyone looking for an escape!

    Anthony2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • The little cottage was cute and very clean and had plenty of amenities. I stayed in order to be near my sister's house for a birthday party. Brenda was a friendly and kind host.

    Judy2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • The cabins appear to be brand new. As soon as you walk in your welcomed by that homey cedar scent. The bed was super comfy and I slept great! The shower is hot with excellent water pressure. Brenda was turning on the heater when we arrived and gave us a wonderful dinner recommendation of the nor’easter down the road where we had amazing food for super cheap! About an hour drive to Moosehead Lake makes it a great location. If you’re a hunter you’ll appreciate the 3 grouse we saw on the driveway.

  • The cabin I stayed in was absolutely fantastic. I've never stayed in a cabin before, but this made me want to do it again. Beautiful, quiet property. The cabin had TV, a small fridge, fans, and heat for the winter. Great place to stay if you're going snowmobiling, hunting, or just traveling through Maine in general. I was able to do some nice astrophotography here. Make sure you have a car capable for off road, or don't mind taking your car off road though!

Beautiful waterfront cottage. Enjoy a peaceful getaway in the great outdoors. Bring your water toys and ATV's in the summer. The trails are right in your front yard. In the winter, snowmobile and ice fish from your door step. The town center with shopping and restaurant's is a ten minute car drive. Or you can take the ATV or snowmobile trails into town. Mount Katahdin state park is less that an hour north. Bangor is forty five minutes south.
  • Carmen was so great. We had a last minute booking that she graciously accepted. And when I got there, I’d had food poisoning so was sooo sick in the moment that I claimed the first room as we walked in. She was lovely, showed everyone the layout, and even checked by text in throughout our stay. A+++ Oh, and the location and home are fantabulous! I use AirBnB a lot and she was an exceptional host!

  • Another Amazing stay at this amazing property. Brenda is an experienced and fantastic host. The blue berry muffins in the morning where a 10 out of 10 :). Very clean and just like the pictures will.be back for a 3rd stay for sure!

  • My boyfriend and I stayed at one of Brenda's cabins for 2 nights in mid August. The cabins are cuter in person and have everything you need for a comfortable stay. Check in/out is a breeze. Comfortable beds. Units have tv, which we were not expecting. It was a bit rainy the days we were here, so we didn't get a chance to utilize the grill or fire pit, but I am sure it would be lovely on a clear, starry night. We had very restful sleep here. Nearby parks were great to round out the more outdoorsy experience, which was what we were looking for. Brenda herself was very responsive when needed. I mistakenly left behind my college sweater (which I realized on the way to the airport). After asking her to please keep an eye out for it, Brenda was very quick to find it and offer to ship home to me. Even going the extra step to launder it, which was above and beyond. So appreciated, I can't thank her enough. Would like to return for a longer stay next time we are in Maine.

Beautiful, private lakefront home located just 20 feet from the water's edge. With a little over 1300 square feet spread out over 3 levels, there is a private loft with 2 separate sleeping spaces, large master bedroom with balcony on the main level and a daylight basement with bed and sitting area. Hear the call of the loons with your morning coffee. Pick blueberries in season from the kayak or canoe. Plenty of hiking and biking opportunities right out of the front door.

Outdoor decks, bonfire pit, private dock and a swimming/sunning deck located 100 feet offshore. Basic fishing rod and reels provided, but bring your own tackle or buy it in town.
Quiet is a one-word description of the "neighborhood". The house is on 2 private waterfront lots with easy access into the lake and a beautiful private dock. Town of 5200 has food, fuel, and many small stores. Restaurants include family style, pub and Chinese food. Baxter State Park and other small parks within easy driving distances. • This place is amazing and quite tranquil. A beautiful place to come to relax and unwind. The house is very spacious and there's definitely a lot of activities to do. Steve and Jeannette are very pleasant and solved any problems we had. We definitely plan on coming back in the future.

  • Beautiful Maine camp- very comfortable- not roughing it! Everything is new and nice. Four completely separate sleeping spaces with comfortable beds and fans in rooms. The bathroom has an extra-large brand new shower with plenty of hot water. The master bedroom is very spacious and view of lake when you wake up is stunning. There's a screened in outdoor area also. Quiet, beautiful lake with nice dock. I brought my flute to practice and the owner brought a music stand for me to use. Puzzles, games, canoe, kayak, water toys, campfire pit, grill, fishing poles and plenty of dishes and stuff you need to cook. No t.v. or internet- awesome!

    Sonja2019-07-19T00:00:00Z
  • Steve greeted us warmly and walked us through the house. This is a perfect lakeside vacation house for family. My kids love swimming, diving, fishing, boating... The house is fully loaded. We watched sunset every day. It is so beautifi and so quiet as if we are in paradise. This is a wonderful vacation. I highly recommend it!

    Yan2019-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • Oh my gosh. This place far exceeded my expectations. I find that a lot of places that allow dogs, smell like dogs. This house didn’t have carpet or a lot of soft furniture to allow smells to happen. I cannot stress enough how amazingly clean it was. We also had a ridiculous travel issue and our original planned 9:00pm arrival time turned into 4:45 in the morning. To come “home” to a place that had lights on, and was cool from the fans was so, so, wonderful. It felt very welcoming. The hosts were also very on top of things, the power went out in the area, we weren’t affected, but they checked on us. They also had drinking water in the fridge ready to go. That was huge for us water drinkers. Loved every thing.

Two miles from the University of Maine, Orono. A private home located on a 10-acre property, adjacent to walking, biking, and groomed cross country skiing trails. You will enjoy the privacy of the upstairs floor, 2 private bedrooms, 1 loft bedroom, and loft living room. This is an exceptionally beautiful, rustic setting; a well-appointed Maine farm house. Available seasonally for your use is an 18' above ground pool, and outdoor summer fireplace.
Our nearest neighbor is about 1/4 mile down the road on either side. We cannot see each other, and or any other buildings in any direction. It is quiet here, but 1/2 mile down the road is local business and a bus route.
  • Andrea is friendly and helpful when you need the attention but knows when to give you your privacy. This is not one of those situations where the host will be overbearing all the time because the kitchen is shared. I got the impression she reads every guest carefully when they arrive and treats them accordingly. If you want to talk she will talk but if you need to get some work done on your laptop she will let you get your work done.

    Jeffrey2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • My little girl and I had a great time with Andrea and her lovely pets. She was so lovely to chat with and was great with my daughter. She was attentive and so generous. We will be back! Thank you, Andrea! ☺️

  • A lovely, serene, safe, cozy place to rest and recharge. Wonderfully quiet while centrally located. Andrea is a wonderful host. Wouldn't hesitate to book again.

  • Andrea's place is a special find - it's such a comfortable and homey place, beautifully appointed, with lots of details/amenities to meet the needs of guests. Andrea is a wonderful host, fascinating to talk with, and goes the extra mile. She made us vegan breakfasts which she had never done before - which was much appreciated! Nero is irresistible and such a love-bug. Highly recommend staying at Andrea's!

    Sarah2020-01-15T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent location, beautiful property and spotless rooms. Andrea is a gracious and generous host with a lovely home to share. 5 star recommendation!

    David2019-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • A stay with Andrea is like a visit to an old friend. Her home becomes your home, complete with a wonderful furry family. If you want privacy, there is a sweetly decorated loft living room with upstairs bedrooms with doors. Her space is charming and clean. She provided breakfast for us which was delicious complete with eggs from her own hens. The cream on top of it all was the fact that she put up garland and Christmas lights just because I asked her if she decorated for Christmas. Talk about above and beyond. Because our Orono performance was cancelled the evening we stayed, Andrea spent a lot of time sitting and chatting with us. We enjoyed her stories and appreciated her time!

    Sharen2019-12-13T00:00:00Z
  • Andrea is as warm as her home. We stayed with her the night before the Millinocket marathon. Her home was a welcome stop between Boston and the race. The rooms were cozy and clean. Andrea was extremely accommodating with our slightly late arrival and early morning departure. And you need to meet Nero, her dog. He is the sweetest boy in the world. We were very lucky to have such a wonderful host before our run. We could not have felt more welcome. And we can't wait to do it all again next December!

  • Pauline met us upon arrival and immediately let us know the furnace had stopped working and the repair man was on the way. She also discovered the Wi-Fi wasn't working. A recent power outage had taken a toll. The furnace was working when we returned from our drive into town. The Wi-Fi had been working but quit again. Seriously it's beyond her control for good signal being in a remote area with so many trees! We didn't need the Wi-Fi so it didn't bother us at all. We're quite used to staying in remote areas and enjoy being "unplugged"! The house was spotless, well stocked with immediate necessities with comfortable furniture. Extra pillows and blankets, plenty of towels, extra sheets... thoughtful touches throughout! Pauline was close but never intrusive in any way. A perfect hostess. I definitely recommend a visit to her lovely lake home.

    Pam2019-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fabulous time at Polly's cozy cabin on the lake. The house was super clean and comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with everything you need. The Wi-Fi was a little unreliable and made communication with Polly a little more of a challenge, but she is such a wonderful, friendly person and went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. We made great use of the canoe and the fire pit, and enjoyed just relaxing in the cabin. Our daughter and her boyfriend and our son had just climbed Mount Katahdin and needed the rest and relaxation. Polly tells us that the cabin is a a great place to stay in the winter if you enjoy snowsports. Will definitely think about coming back for that!

    Daniel2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect lakefront location, with big windows and a deck facing the lake, a private dock right in front, and plenty of comfortable furniture inside and out. (Be advised that you may not have cell service, and wifi internet coverage can be very slow).

    John2019-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • Pauline was so accommodating and friendly. This place has everything you need and it is perfectly located on the water. It was so lovely to sit on the deck and have breakfast and dinner, while watching the kids splash. The place was super clean and had nice touches like a washer and dryer and shampoo and soap. One word of caution is the lake does get deep fast, and the deck is high above ground without a fence, in case anyone is bringing their baby. We had no issues at all however. Thanks again for a lovely stay!

    Ngoc2019-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • The best accommodation we had with airbnb ever. We had an awesome stay right at the lake.

  • Polly’s Cabin was super clean and very comfortable, with a beautiful view of the water, super deck, and dock for easy access to swimming. Pauline welcomed us and filled us in on what to expect, and she had information about food and other options in nearby Lincoln.

  • Pauline’s cabin is a rare gem. It is uncommonly warm and welcoming, clean and cozy, with a friendly and fun host. I’ve stayed in a few different places in the Millinocket and Lincoln area, and this is by far the very best. I’ll never stay anywhere else when I come to The Katahdin region!

This is the one you’ve been looking for!Peaceful and serene yet loads of fun! Wake up and step out the door and on to the beach. Enjoy your coffee with your feet in the sand. Grab a kayak and tour the lake. When the sun gets hot take a swim to the float or a swing in the hammock . Catch some fish than finish the perfect day with a fire. This is the best place for kids to spend their summer! Off the grid and we wouldn’t have it any other way! This is a family friendly spot..no parties please
This is a “true treasure” you won’t want to leave the beach, water, and adventures that come with “off the grid luxury”
15 minutes from the town of Lincoln .
  • The lake house is the perfect off grid get away. We were so relaxed and the view of the lake is unreal. We sat with our breakfast this morning and couldn’t quite believe what we were looking at. We also really enjoyed that it made us think about our water usage we will be making some changes when home! Nick and Laura were just fantastic. Nick even waited for us in the pitch black for over an hour when we got lost due to my terrible navigation skills. Thank you so much Nick and Laura.

  • What an awesome place, tucked away in privacy. Such a beautiful spot!! Laura’s husband met us and was so welcoming and nice. Laura even stopped by to drop off treats and coffee cups! We plan on going back!
