We loved staying at Carlo’s place. The minute you walk into the house you feel your stress level decrease. The house is beautifully decorated. His kitchen is a chef’s dream. My husband and I really enjoyed the hot tub and the spa like shower. Carlo was the perfect host. He was quick to answer all of our questions. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful,beautiful,beautiful...we had a great stay in this beautiful place. The kitchen is like something out of architectural (URL HIDDEN) is beautiful and I am sorry that we only cooked twice. The house is very well decorated with really nice pieces. Great stereo that connects wirelessly with my iphone and fantastic sound. really comfortable and relaxed. The deck is great with barbeque which we did not use but we want to come back in summertime. The bathroom is like a spa and has jacuzzi tub. Everything is spotless and clean. Great location that is only 5 minutes from beach. The local Chinese takeout has great sweet and sour chicken. Carlo is a great host (even had a couple of beers in fridge for us) and we forgot some personal belongings which he was very kind to put in the mail for us. We will be back.

Exactly what we were looking for. Coming from the city it was a perfect quiet & relaxing escape for us! The space we occupied was decorated beautifully with lots of privacy. We were centrally located near the beach (a little over a mile). The beach on Fire Island is a must see with food & live music on the weekends. We saw lots of deer and even a small family of them walking on the sand near the ocean. It was beautiful! Having a car is recommended as there were only a few dining options a walkable distance away. About a 5 minute convenient cab ride from the train station. Carlo communicated with us extremely well he was amazing! His guidebook of local recomendations and house rules were extremely helpful to us! We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider carlo's place for our next get-a-way from the city.

We traveled to the area to visit family and were looking for a way to keep everyone together and not split up in several hotel rooms--THis place was great for us in terms of space and quality. Also nice and close to our family that we were visiting. Made it very easy to relax and enjoy our time on Long Island. Highly recommended

Carlo's house was exactly what we were looking for. The kitchen and bathroom were a joy to use, and the kitchen being so well appointed (including more le crueset cookware than I've seen in my life) was a complete surprise. The yard was great for my little pups to run around in, and even though it was a little chilly to eat outside, we got to use the grill a couple times. The bedrooms have gotten some upgrades since photos- bigger baseboards- so the place is still being improved. All in all, I can't recommend the house enough!

Our family of 5 adults and 2 kids stayed here in late December and had a great time. The house was as nice as advertised and we can imagine it being more so in the summer when the pool is open and the kids can run around in the yard. The beach is a quick drive away, as are stores for stocking up. Carlo was very responsive and we would stay here again.

Beautiful stylish house with everything needed to enjoy good times inside and outside. Yes a car is needed however it's the perfect spot for spending time close to the beach and all amenities.

Carlo's house was impeccable, exactly as described with a great sense of interior style. Carlo was very responsive and provided ample instructions and tips to make our stay more enjoyable -- even though we booked at the very last minute. The house is very well located, 5min to Mastic LIRR station, 15min walk from Mastic Beach and very close to nature preserves with lots of hiking and bicycling trails. We had a very relaxing weekend.

Michael was a gracious host and his cottage was perfect for a cozy getaway, and on a peaceful acreage with a Dalmatian and some chickens and ducks--from which he was kind enough share 4 freshly laid eggs after we settled in. We had a great espresso in the morning and then jetted off. We'd stay again in a heartbeat.

A fairy-tale cottage with modern ameneties...what more could you ask for? If you're looking for a getaway that feels surrounded by nature but stays comfy with central air/heat, where you can pack light and still enjoy clean clothes (stacked washer/dryer) and cook a great meal (full kitchen), Michael's place offers all the best kind of contradictions. I was able to catch up on some much needed down time without feeling confined in the bright, spacious cottage/loft setting, while still being minutes from all the major transportation routes to see friends and places throughout long island. Beautiful landscaped grounds, even in the grey of the winter, and a cast of hysterical poultry characters to meet up close or just watch out the many cottage windows as you choose. (Plus the gift of amazing fresh eggs!) The hosts dealt admirably with my last second schedule changes and met my every need while I was there. Great communication while still feeling in a world apart. Everyone who visited me at the cottage asked how they could book it. Wish I could have stayed for months, but will definitely return.

Sam made me feel at home. It was my first bnb experience and I was very pleased. The accommodations were everything I expected, comfortable bed and very clean. The neighborhood was very safe and conviently located.

This was our first time staying at an Airbnb and we would definitely do it again! We had all the comforts of home and Sam and Viv have a wonderful comfortable and clean place. Extra blankets and pillows, clear instructions, good wireless access and a well stocked kitchen with water, cheese and crackers, and other extras were most appreciated.

Sam and Viviana place is really nice as they are. Very spacious, clean, tidy, well decorated. You can see they take of the place and they make you feel comfortable. The big garden is so relaxing and beauty. Gracias por ofrecernos un lugar tan lindo.

Great, quiet neighborhood, relatively short drive from the beach. House was amazing, awesome backyard with multiple comfortable "cabana" style areas, nice ambience/landscaping, and a fire pit. Hosts were super nice and friendly, shared food and drink during dinner with us and set us up with snacks and dessert and a light breakfast. Also were kind enough to offer us a couple of car pickups/drop-offs. Fun people, quite funny, very kind.

We had a good time spending a few days at Craigs place. He is very accessible for communication and easy to talk to. The apartment is small and cozy, has a TV, movie selection, kitchen and basic necessities. If you're walking or biking, the location is close to the beach but a little further away from most of the bars and restaurants in town. Craig provides bikes and beach towells that we definitely made use of. He also left some printouts with information about points of interest, etc. Overall the place was neat and Craig is a good host!

Great location for the summer on LI! Right next to cool downtown Patchogue and minutes to the beach :) Craig is awesome, responsive when needs arise but not intrusive.

Craig was very accommodating of our arrival time and was quick to respond to any questions we had. His apartment was clean and the bed was comfortable. It was the perfect place to rest for a night.

5 of us (myself included), wanted a relaxing weekend away from NYC. This home was perfect. Firstly, the home is as beautiful in reality as it is in pictures. No detail in the House was accidental, nothing went unturned. Joe was accessible and left a detail guide in the house with local restaurants, attractions, etc. The duck families in the back yard make you immediately happy to watch. However, my only negative comment is: due to the ducks, the backyard grass area belong to them. The grass in the backyard is over-wrought with duck poop. All said, I would definitely recommend this house and rent again.

Joe is terrific, he was incredibly responsive and accommodating. In addition to helping coordinate arrival, etc., he was kind in offering suggestions on things to do and places to go during our stay. The view from the living room, dining room, kitchen, and decks were incredibly peaceful and relaxing. While we did not use many of the amenities, the fireplaces, whirlpool and steam shower further enhanced the overall feel of the home. It was an ideal getaway from NYC.

Great stay at a terrific house. Joe was very helpful giving us guidance on the area, recommended beaches and restaurants, etc. House was even better than advertised - full kitchen, grill outdoors, and hot tub. Beautiful yard with a path that leads to the waterfront. Good location as the house is easily accessible to local beaches, Fire Island, and LIRR (for those taking the train from the city, it is a 10 min cab ride from the Patchogue and Sayville stations). We rented a car once we got to Patchogue, but there are cabs as well.

This house is lovely. We came for a winter weekend getaway and had a really nice relaxing time.

Joe's home offered all that was promised and a little extra in terms of how relaxing his home and yard really are. Our group was there for a dance event nearby and our kids loved coming home to the hot tub, board games, the geese and ducks and our family dinners every night whether we ate inside or outside on the deck so we could enjoy the views. Joe has a helpful list of local places to eat, shop and visit and his home is gorgeous. Thank you again for a great week!

Upon arriving at the rental we were surprised that the refrigerator was LOADED with food and beverages so much that there was no room for our groceries. There was not one empty cabinet we could use for food storage. No instructions for the 4 tv's which meant having to call Joe for one tv and trying to find where the boxes were hidden to turn on others. Laundry was left in the dryer and I was asked to fold it and put it away when I phoned him! (Which I did so I could use washer/dryer). All in all this did not seem like a "rental property " at all. The home was filled with the owners belongings leaving absolutely no room for our vacation. The house is in a pretty neighborhood. I would not rent this property again. It's over-priced for the condition of the interior not making the renters feel welcome.

What a fabulous house. The views, the hot tub and steam room were absolutely perfect. Everything about the house was magnificent and "top of the line". I gave my girlfriend a birthday that could only be described as perfect. He knew it was a birthday weekend and he even left a box of fine chocolates to set the weekend off right. The house was immaculate and very tidy. I caught Joe on his way out and he described how to use everything in the house. The house was very high-end, new and clean which made me look like a perfect boyfriend to my girlfriend. I was happy to find that every amenity that we needed was provided in the house along with a book of local hot spots and activities. He was generous and let us use baking supplies and ingredients, he even said you can take my beers. THANK YOU JOE FOR ALL OF YOUR HELP. My girlfriend and I look forward to coming back. I’m a health nut so we will miss the charming organic food store on the corner of the block.

We didn't see Jeff during our one-night stay, but Don was very nice and super accommodating. He was flexible with check-in and check-out times, and even offered us his food/snacks in the kitchen if we got hungry. The room itself was nice and clean and had a big bed, closet to hang up your clothes, and TV with cable. Would highly recommend if you need to stay in the area! Side note: There is a cat in the apartment, so bring your allergy medication if needed! But Don made sure to keep him out of our room and away most of the night.

Convenient and close to the railroad and the airport. Quiet, clean, and comfortable and strong wifi as well. Host was very helpful, great to talk with, and shared everything (I forgot towels and such). Safe location, I walked the three miles to the railroad station without incident. Excellent layover or base location to scout both the island and the city.

We didn't see Jeff, but his brother welcomed us. Don is very friendly and he's a very great host. The room is great, so is the bed (very confortable). Everything is as described. We enjoyed our stay!

This house was welcoming and extremely clean. There are a couple of other rooms available on airbnb, and i was happy to see other guests enjoying the kitchen when i arrived. It kind of felt like i was visiting distant relatives.. Overall a very warm atmosphere. i would recommend it.

The neighborhood was quiet and pleasant. The house and the room were clean and comfortable. Adriana and her husband were always nice and helpful. Several other tenants lived in the same house, which presented a great opportunity of meeting people and making friends. I didn't have a car and ended up catching a ride with two other people to the SBU campus each day. We became good friends by the end of two weeks. The only minor issue was that the room was clearly meant for meeting people and relaxing, and therefore lacked a proper work desk. If you have a lot of work to do (like I did), you will have to do it in the living room (which isn't bad, just a little bit awkward, especially late at night).

Adriana was a really great host. The location has a nice pizza place around the corner that won't break the bank. The area is very safe. If you are looking for a place to stay, i totally recommend it.

I got picked up from the railroad which was nice. Communication was very good. I had good WiFi and a nice bed. You defenitly need a car to stay there cause there is hardly no buses in town. Family was very nice and funny. The house was not the cleanest but allright. All in all I would go there again but just with my own car.

My girlfriend and I stayed at Julie's townhouse during the weekend of New Year's. She left us a welcome basket full of amenities and a welcome note. She granted us full access to her spacious house including the fire place! We felt at home as it was our place. Julie was responsive and kept great communication with us the whole time. We recommend others looking for an escape from the city here.

Bannett was not home when we checked in but had left us clear instructions on how to enter the house and where the room was, etc. He was great to deal with and very responsive to all my messages and questions. We met Bannett in the morning and he is a great guy, very personable.

We had a wonderful stay! Our room and private bathroom were upstairs, separate from the main area of the home. The space is comfortable and clean. We only saw Bannett briefly during our stay, but he was gracious and accommodating and responded rapidly to our messages when we were unsure where to park our car. Overall, a great place to stay!

Bannett's home was absolutely beautiful and the in the middle of a lovely neighborhood. House rules were communicated very well & amenities were terrific. I was blown away with how clean & tidy the house was (and I am a self-proclaimed clean freak)! I so enjoyed talking story with Anne (Ann-eee). She is a medicine lady, a spiritual being, her house is protected with good vibes and spirit guardians. She taught me a lot. Of course that inner side of her might only come out if you are sensitive to these things. Either way her home is a little older but very nicely maintained, the room is spacious and well equipped (large HD tv, a/c, plenty of drawer space, attached half bath, etc.). She is a really warm and welcoming hostess. It was a perfect spot for a one night stay heading south. I felt blessed to come within her circle of influence.

Anne, Paul and Trooper (clearly the ruler of the house) could not have been nicer or more accommodating. I as greeted by a backyard bonfire in the outdoor fireplace/fire pit where we talked and they told me all about the area. They were very helpful in many ways, I having to catch an early morning ferry to Davis Park... Great host, great experience!

I just spent here a few hours to rest while visiting LI, everything went well as planned and according to the ad. Unfortunately I couldn't meet Anne in person, but she made everything ready for me by the time I reached her place. The room is comfortable, with A/C, wifi and TV. Room bathroom is a bit small (no shower) but works fine for short stays.

Anne's communication was timely and she seemed nice. I would suggest more pictures, to include the attached bathroom.

We had a great weekend at Natalie's place. The cabin was the perfect size for our family of four. It has a lot of warm character as it's been in their family a long time. It also has its quirks which we adjusted to well. The location was good for us as it was a short drive to access several different Fire Island beach ferries. Our kids enjoyed the tire swing and running around the property. Overall it was just right for us and a great value for the area.

My stay at the cabin was beautiful and the place had everything I wanted: fireplace, kitchen, peace. Since I don't have a car, I was able to catch a LIRR train from New York City and then take a 10 minute cab ride to the cabin, which was convenient. Natalie was sweet and responsive to all my questions. I have no complaints!

That is a quite and antique house in the beautiful woods. We stayed 5 days, we enjoyed the vacation with the wonderful music records in the house. It is deserve to recommended .

My family (wife and toddler) had a wonderful time at Natalie's cabin. My son especially loved playing with all the toys. :) The cabin was as described and was very well equipped for our stay. Good location and easy access to beaches and nearby small towns. Natalie was super responsive.

Very beautiful secluded house, Natalie has prepared a detailed housing information, let us live up to, as in your own home, the house is a little older, but everything evil living functions, as well as the history of nostalgic flavor. Long years of living in this house is my really good memories.

This cabin is charming. My family of four (kids 10 & 12) had a lovely stay there. They actually comfortably stayed together on the living room sofa bed because they were nervous about the basement door in the solarium (we don't have basements in Texas!). Otherwise one of them would have been comfy on the sofa bed in there. We slept well on the king bed in the master bedroom. The place seems secluded, but it's actually very close to stores, transportation, and even the YMCA. Natalie left detailed information for us and was very responsive. I'd definitely recommend this place for families.

We stayed for only one night and had to leave early in the morning but we wished we could have spent more time with them because Daniel and Javier are very friendly people. They have a very clean and cozy home and made us feel very comfortable. We loved the little details like putting fresh lavender and other aromatic herbs in the room we stayed, and also offering us breakfast. We won't hesitate to stay with them again in the future if we need a place in Long Island.

I was in the area to visit Fire Island National Seashore and Daniel's place was the best deal around. He and his friend Javier have the basement area of a house. The area is quite small, amounting to two rooms, a bathroom, and a kitchen area. The room for rent is a regular room, but without a door (it's normally the TV room). A curtain has been placed across the entrance. It was plenty of privacy for me. It is a great place to use for sleeping if you plan to be out and about all day long, but it's not like a hotel room where you may want hang out. For the most part, the guys work during the day, come home and eat, then retire to bed, so while the place is small, if you don't want to be bothered you can find plenty of peace in your room. I've been to a number of Air BnB places and I can say that this place is as clean as it gets. Also, Daniel and Javier are about as nice as people get. If you are fine with the room and space situation, then I highly recommend staying here.

What a great house! The location was absolutely perfect for us. We were visiting family in the area and wanted to have our own space. The pool and play structure made the back yard a dream come true for our family. Joe and Christina were fantastic hosts. They were even allowed us to stay an extra night when our flights got canceled due to weather. We will definitely be staying here again.

Excellent, comfortable home for our family group of 10 people. Kitchen was great, and the yard is gorgeous! Pool is beautiful (only wish the weather was a bit warmer). We loved our stay at Christina and Joe's place. We felt more like we were staying at a friend or family's house than a stranger's! The house was well-stocked, and they put together this fantastic guidebook with tons of local shopping, food, and tourist suggestions. And Christina was really communicative and thoughtful. When the weather wound up being much hotter than expected, she sent me a quick text to let me know where we could find an extra A/C unit, and encouraged us to keep the units running so we were nice and cool while getting ready for the wedding. So thoughtful! The place itself is great, perfect for 4 women, but it would also be nice for a family. It was perfectly located for our stay, which included wedding activities in Port Jefferson, Brentwood, and Smithtown. The house is close to freeways but the neighborhood is peaceful and quiet. I can't recommend it highly enough!!
