  • My wife and two son's stayed at Sajjad's house for the night. It was excellent. Sajjad gave us a thorough handover which was appreciated. The house itself is beautiful. My sons loved the swimming pool, steam room and the pool table. I'd recommend staying at Sajjad's house. Its spectacular and definitely has the wow factor.

  • Beautiful house and had a lovely stay

    Janice2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • What a beautiful house & was perfect for our family get-together with ages ranging from 12-75! The location is beautiful & the house exactly what we needed - plenty of communal space but equally individual space too. We absolutely loved the pool & hot tub and I can’t recommend this lovely house highly enough.

    Fiona2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • What can I say? Third year in a row our team has had their Christmas stay at this property. Facilities are excellent - swimming pool (nice & warm)/ Sauna/ Hot tub all put excellent use/ Theatre room used to chill out & relax and watch a movie. Any questions, Sajjad gives a quick response. If looking for somewhere to relax in a lovely location, then I recommend this property.

  • Vicki and Daisy were lovely! Their home is AMAZING, there is a small water fall and a beautiful padio just outside. Their chickens roam around on the lawn, giving the home a farm house feel. There is a sweet dog and cat who will love you to pieces. The breakfast was incredible... with fresh chicken eggs!! The house and decor is straight out of a country cottage magazine. Our bedroom was warm and cozy. So clean, so chic, the beds were super comfy, and the bathtub was so relaxing. Vicki was a great guide, and her friend Gregor was helpful getting us around.

  • Perfect location, not too far to travel from the city but feels like a million miles away. The apartment is great, very spacious but also warm and cosy! The kitchen is well equipped and there's an added bonus of a separate utility room for wet clothes /boots if you get caught out in the wild Scottish weather (as we did!) Directions and details for arrival were clear and much appreciated!

  • Fantastic stay at Carbeth House. Flat it’s self was immaculate, warm and welcoming, very homely. We slept exceptionally well. Renato was an excellent host, he is very welcoming and nothing was a bother for him. The views from Carbeth House were outstanding. We will definitely be returning in the near future, ideal location for a peaceful, rural get away. Wonderful little pub a mile down the road The Old Mill, it has a great atmosphere, friendly staff and friendly locals.

  • Wow! The photos and details on the site give you an idea what to expect, but the place is truly fantastic - you properly feel like you're living in a Lord's manor house, or similar. Tons of space, yet comfortable and well furnished throughout, our family had a great couple of days here. Only minor negative is the state of the driveway following the recent storms - make sure you travel in something a bit more robust than you might normally choose!

    Alex2020-02-20T00:00:00Z

  • This house located by a river is a haven of peace. It is close to Loch Lomond. Tastefully decorated, the house is welcoming as is its owner. It is a place where we felt good and we will return with pleasure! Good and plentiful breakfast with lots of choices. A thought for Missy (her cat) that we will miss!

    Marianne2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • Vicki's place was wonderful. The house is lovely, very clean and comfortable with amazing views. Hospitality and communication was great as was the breakfast.

    Vicky2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Vicki’s cottage was so lovely and homely, we absolutely loved staying here. Whilst we only stopped for one night, Vicki went out of her way to make sure we were happy, giving us a great recommendation for dinner and some tips on local hiking routes. The cottage itself is in a great location to explore Loch Lomond and surrounding areas, it’s beautifully decorated and so cosy. Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay for longer! Shout out to Daisy (Vicki’s daughter) too, she’s a little star and made our trip even more memorable.

    Benjamin2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • I cannot recommend this place enough. The hosts, Vicki and Daisy were brilliant. They are so friendly and welcomed us into their home, the kettle was on and the log fire was lit for our arrival. We were also really fond of their cocker spaniel Monty, big fluffy cat called Missy and their chickens. The room is perfect, cosy and warm and the cottage itself is tucked away, situated right beside the river, it’s so peaceful and beautiful! We will definitely be back ❤️

    Jess2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I loved this place. If you want more than the usual holiday locations Vicki is an amazing host and transforms the atmosphere into a warm and home from home experience. The bungalow is exquisite and the location is beautiful. Due to the thoughtful touches and help Vicki gave us we will absolutely go back. Simply put .. an experience not to be missed.

    Kenneth2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Vicky and another very welcoming and discreet house is ideally located in a quiet location while being close to the amenities and activities of the area such as Conic Hill. the house is really beautiful with a view of a very nice little river the room is impeccably clean and the bed is very comfortable. Vicky prepared us an excellent and very generous breakfast, there are many choices. I recommend ++ My only regret is the language barrier I will start to English when I get home.

    Marion2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • The BnB was an exemplar of what a modern bed and breakfast can be - extremely clean, cosy and welcoming but still stylish and allowing for privacy. Vicki accepted my booking at late notice and shared lots of great tips for local walks, sights and restaurants/cafes.

    Katie2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Vicki's home exceeded my expectations. It's a beautiful space, and super cosy! Vicki was excellent at communicating before arrival, and as soon as we arrived was accommodating offering my boyfriend and I hot drinks and to wash our muddy clothes (we'd just been to Go Ape - 20 min drive away). The bedroom was clean, cosy and spacious with good storage space. An amazing spread of breakfast was left out in the morning too - including fresh eggs from her chickens :) Vicki is super easy going, chatty and knowledgable. Would definitely recommend and is excellent value for money; we will be returning!!

Our lovely and cosy lodge is located in one of the most beautiful locations in Loch Lomond. Amazing views and scenic walks. Only 45 minutes from Glasgow city center and 35 minutes from Glasgow International Airport. Wifi connection available!! PETS ARE NOT PERMITTED WITHIN THIS LODGE.
I believe what makes our space so special is the view and the location, right on the banks of Loch Lomond. And if you're looking for the perfect place to eat we are right across from the famous Oak Tree Inn which has very friendly staff and amazing food. Not to mention the beautiful walks and hikes. We are located right at the bottom of Conic Hill (my favorite walk) and a 5 to 10 minute drive from Ben Lomond. If you're looking for a place to relax or for a place to explore then Balmaha is the ideal location. It's quiet and tranquil setting gives you that away from it all feeling. Access to a shared jacuzzi hot tub with Lodge 2. We do accommodate couples with children! We are currently building other lodges adjacent to the existing lodge. We avoid doing works when we have guests as we want them to enjoy the tranquility and peace that this place offers.
Balmaha is a small village with lovely people. We've been living here for the past five years and we absolutely adore the small village feeling but also the fact that we are only 35 minutes from Glasgow city center.
  • Lovely cosy place to stay in Balmaha, very homely and next to a lovely pub, cafe and a some great local walks nearby!

  • A nicely designed comfortable apartment in a well run complex of camping pods and apartments. I was a bit worried about being over the top of the apartments below but the floors seem to be concrete and we never heard a thing even at weekends when it was really busy. Fernanda is very quick to respond to any problems and the whole place is very clean, plus the bed is super comfortable and the view from the balcony is fabulous. Don't miss walking up Conic Hill for a truly spectacular view or even better the seaplane trip from Cameron House Hotel for an extra special treat.!

  • River Cottage is like a dream, overlooking the river at the back. It’s wonderful to fall asleep to the sounds of the river, such bliss. I only wish I’d had the chance to enjoy the decking, but it was a tad chilly and wet in March. The cottage is the perfect size for a solo traveller or a couple, lovely and cosy. The kitchen is well kitted out (also has salt, oil, all the basics!) and the cottage is within arms reach of Loch Lomond and the Trossachs. It was a perfect base for me and I absolutely intend to return. Vicki is a wonderful host, she popped over when I needed a hand with something and was so welcoming. Her directions are spot on, so make sure you read them beforehand. I used google street view to scope out the markers she mentioned and it couldn’t have been easier to find!

  • Follow the directions and you’ll have nonissue finding the place, a small cost cottage with everything you’ll need. The stream alongside the cottage is great for sleeping and loads of open space for our dog to run about. Locally there are so many things to do, we drove round loch lomond, walked ben lawers and so much more. We loved being what seemed ‘off grid’ yet so local to glasgow. The night sky was great for star gazing and the day time views are breathtaking

    John2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely space. Friendly host. Great stay

    Graeme2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely, cosy little cottage set in a remote location. Loch Lomond is just a short drive away. It’s tucked away, but Vicki’s directions were really clear so we had no trouble finding it from the village. We didn’t get the chance to meet Vicki during our 3 night stay. The cottage itself was spotlessly clean with good amenities. We appreciated all the extra blankets as our first day in Scotland was freezing! The bed was super comfy and the hot water bottles were a nice touch. Our dog loved the cottage and settled in quickly, and the big field outside was handy for walking him. At bedtime, we loved listening to the river and a nearby owl. The only downside was that the TV wouldn’t work; we did reach out to the host for help on the first day (we tried calling first then by text on the numbers provided) as we’d noticed a previous reviewer had recently been helped with a similar issue, but ours was never resolved or followed-up on during our stay. The text response we got felt a little dismissive, so we decided not to push it again. We didn’t come away to watch television, but it would’ve been nice to curl up at night after exploring the area. Luckily we had card games and conversation! Overall, this is a nice cottage set in a lovely part of Scotland that I would recommend especially to couples with a dog or two.

  • Carolyn was a great host! Excellent communication and very helpful - check in was really easy. The cottage was lovely and clean and the fire place was perfect to come back to after a day out. Thanks, Carolyn!

    Caitlin2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • From the outset the communication was flawless between myself and Carolyn. She gave accurate directions to the cottage and recommended a lovely little walk up conic hill are on first day. Carolyn met us at the cottage and showed us around along with gifting us a bottle of fizz. The cottage is in a perfect location for exploring loch lomand the surrounding areas. The village of Drymen is gorgeous nd has a couple of excellent pubs/restaurants. We ate at the Clachan inn which can highly recommend, they even allow dogs in the bar area where there is a long fire and friendly locals. The log burner in th cottage is a highlight and Carolyn supplies all the bits to get it started for the 1st night. After this it's £7 for a box of seasoned wood which is good quality and a great price. I cannot fault our 3 night trip to the cottage, it comfortably accommodated me my partner and our Labrador. The cottage has all the amenities required for an extended stay and has all the items you could need for cooking in the kitchen shohl you wish. I would definitely stay again and would not hesitate in recommending the cottage, location and Carolyn.

  • We had a wonderful stay at Carolyn's place. The place is clean, cosy, and in beautiful surroundings. The full Scottish breakfast was exceptionally done (and catered to my allergies), and the hospitality throughout was as if we were staying with a friend. Her lovely family are incredible hosts, such polite children, and of course the instantly loveable family dog - who we already miss! She also suggested an itinerary for our last day that we embarked on and which really rounded off our weekend perfectly. Thanks for having us!

    Shan2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely perfect ! Carolyn warmly welcomed us and offered to dry our wet clothes (which she even ironed!). The room is cozy, nicely decorated and the bed comfortable! • Super Jane! We arrived at night and had a hard time finding the house ... Jane was very responsive to answer us and bring us to our destination :) The accommodation is as in the photos, very beautiful and above all very clean! Thank you for the little touch of attention: the croissants (especially when you are French !! ..) The accommodation is well placed, next to Loch Lomond. We took a short walk to climb to the top of Conic Hill which offers a superb view! We highly recommend, eyes closed!

  • Jane’s place was beautiful; sparkling clean and really modern and cosy. It was also in lovely location for visiting plenty of amazing countryside, we found walks with amazing views of Loch Lomand pretty much right on the doorstep! The special touches, such as the homemade bread and tablet, were also lovely to arrive to and delicious! We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again! Thanks Jane!

  • Lovely and cosy place; really well-designed, including many thoughtful extra details. It was very clean and we appreciated the heated bathroom floor, heated shoe rack, etc. Good location to walk into Drymen for pubs and walking trails. Wonderful hospitality, thanks very much!

    Sarah2019-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • This is a beautifully and thoughtfully designed flat. We loved the heated floor in the bathroom. The beds were super comfortable with beautiful linen. It looks much nicer than the photographs. It is my pleasure to recommend Jane’s place. You will love it.

A 4 star accredited lodge which was converted in 2016 from an 18th century outbuilding, once the public conveniences for Kilmanarock Public School. The Old School was closed in 1907 and now operates as an established B&B where the owner lives in. Architecturally designed and meeting modern construction standards, Siberian Larch clads a new extension to the original stone building creating a unique space ideal for 2 to 4. A great place to explore Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park.
The building is designed as a one-bedded apartment with top quality fixtures and fittings. A small ensuite toilet adjoins the hotel quality bedroom with zip-linked king size bed that converts to twin beds, on request, oak bedroom furniture and TV. The place is heated by a thermostatically controlled LPG combination boiler providing instant hot water as well as central heating. The kitchen is fully equipped with pots and pans and includes a dishwasher, washing machine, fridge with small freezer compartment, oven, hob and microwave. The open plan diner/lounge provides a cosy space to relax with a lovely log burner and SMART TV to watch TV or stream video or film via the internet. Free WIFI is throughout. A four piece bathroom with bath and stand-alone shower completes the apartment. A private courtyard with table and chairs can be accessed through French doors off the lounge or from the bedroom.
Houlet's Nest is situated on the A811 one mile from Gartocharn and three miles from Drymen. The apartment is an annex to The Old School House Bed & Breakfast, and adjoins Loch Lomond RSPB Reserve. It is in the beautiful Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park and perfectly situated for exploring all the park has to offer. Drymen is a lovely village situated on the West Highland Way (long distance walking route) and has plenty of places to eat out. Balloch is only 4 miles away with more options for eating out or takeaways. If you want a day off from hiking, biking or sailing then Stirling, with its historical sites, is only 30 minute drive away and Glasgow a similar distance with its many museums and shopping options. There are endless things to do and see on the loch itself or at local attractions.
  • Hilary is such a wonderful, warm, welcoming host who is very thoughtful. Houlet’s Nest was sparkling clean on check in and offered so much more than a Five Star hotel. The welcoming hamper was so very thoughtful and put a huge smile our faces. The Nest lies next to a main road but when you close the door to the Nest, you really wouldn’t know. Walks/Hikes are plentiful (Conic Hill is a must for the views) and only ever a short drive (4 miles) away, the same applies for all local amenities. Balloch Castle (Plus huge park) and Loch Lomond are literally 5mins drive from Houlet’s Nest. Overall, I would highly recommend Hilary as the host and of course Houlet’s Nest. We will definitely be returning.

  • We couldn't have asked for any more, the cottage is clean, cosy and has everything you could possibly need for a short or long stay. The location is ideal, as it's situated close to shops but is still very much rural and Hilary is the perfect host, communication was quick and easy and it's not often you find someone who comes across as warm and welcoming the first time you meet. We highly recommend staying and would love to return in the future! :-)

    Lorraine2019-11-09T00:00:00Z
  • Wow! If you are thinking of booking this place, do! The nest is a home from home with lots of added extras that aren’t standard with most self catering accommodation. Perfect for exploring Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. Loved our week here.

  • Houlets nest is an ideal base to explore loch lomond and the trossachs and beyond. There are breathtaking views all around. The accommodation is excellent and Hilary is a friendly and welcoming host. It was all perfect. Highly recommended.

  • Hilary is a great host, good communication, always available if needed, good recommendations on pubs, things to see. Importantly, left you alone unless you needed help! Good location for exploring Loch Lomond and even the Cairngorns if you get an early start in. Car is essential.

  • We loved it. The place is even bigger than in looks on photos, very well equipped. We have been very pleasantly surprised. Hilary is perfect host, great communication, on time, helping us with local tips for the family. Great experience, really recommend.

1 bedroom semi-detached cottage set on around 15 acres of private land with stunning views over some of Scotlands finest scenery and hills including Ben Lomond. The property itself is equipped with private access, private decking area, one bedroom with king size bed and a private bathroom with shower. The kitchen/living area is complete with all essentials including dishwasher and washing machine and a small dining table.
The property is accessed via the decking. Inside you will have a lovely log burner which I will supply the logs for.
We are lucky enough to be set just outside the village of Gartocharn. Our nearest neighbour is actually Duncryne riding and trekking centre so if you fancy taking up horse riding or fancy a trek when you’re here then we can arrange this for you. You will need a car to access our property.
  • What a great place to stay when exploring Loch Lomond. Loved the little touches, the log fire and especially the views. Would definitely head back. Fab!

  • A gem of a place. Really enjoyed staying here and would go again. We wanted to get away from the city and chill out and we did this at the But n Ben. Very clean and nice touches. It was a nice space and definitely switched off.

  • This is a great wee place for a relaxing break. Deborah is a lovely host, and the accommodation is spotlessly clean and very comfortable. We would wholeheartedly recommend it . The location is excellent too for walking. Restaurants, shops and garden centres are a five minute drive away.

  • Deborah was quick with her responses and really helpful. The location is a great base for walking through the Trossachs, close to the car park for Ben Lomond while also being near to supermarkets etc. Fire is as delightful as you'd expect, kitchen amenities are great, and shower is really good. The bed was comfy and we were supplied two towels each. I loved the little touches, such as setting the fire for us on our first night so it was ready to go when we arrived. Very thoughtful! We will be back no doubt!

Nice touches of fruit and wine and very helpful in providing items we thought were ‘missing’. The apartment is bright, well located and well-equipped with appliances. A big bath and lots of lovely towels and a comfy bed. We came to stay as we had swim events in the area and we’d definitely come back.

We looked forward to coming in from the cold walks to chill in the cosy and peaceful space. Naomi left us a great selection for continental breakfast each morning which was much appreciated - with excellent coffee too! She was a brilliant host and the loft was absolutely spotless throughout. Would 100% return and recommend to anyone!

A rural upper floor apartment with stunning mountain view of the Scottish Highlands. Just 30 minutes from Glasgow and Stirling. A great location to explore Loch Lomond & The Trossachs.
Our apartment is very light, bright and airy and the views from the bedroom and living room make it extra special.
We are located in a quiet leafy lane just outside the village of Croftamie. Within 10 minutes you can be hiking in the Trossachs or cruising on Loch Lomond. The West Highland Way is just minutes away and we are on the National Route 7 cycle path. It is a very peaceful and idyllic cottage to relax and unwind.
  • Thank you once again, Jenny, for your thoughtful little touches (freshly baked bread!!) and great hospitality. The peacefulness + serenity of the area was such a memorable way to bring the decade to an end and welcome a new one! The stay calmed both our minds and was a much needed break away from the chaos of London. I am so certain that we will both be coming back again :-)

  • I stayed at Tullycross with a need for some R&R. I couldn't have chosen a better spot to stay at. The views from either side of the property are amazing and it's just so peaceful and quiet. The place itself is fantastic and had everything I needed. It's perfect location wise too, being so close to the various places around the southern tip of Loch Lomond. Jenny and Ned were brilliant hosts who were always there if you needed something and left you to it otherwise. There were some great suggestions on places to visit and things to do, which were perfect for someone who didn't really know the area. If you want somewhere to truly enjoy Loch Lomond and it's surrounding areas from, I'd recommend Tullycross hands down. Very much worth it.

    Ben2019-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • My stay at Tullycross was most enjoyable. It is very clean, has extra amenities like heated towel racks, she is responsive to any need and has updated information about places to go and things to do and is most gracious. I would not hesitate to recommend Tullycross to anyone.

    Jean2019-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • A great stay. We arrived to a fresh bunch of flowers and freshly baked bread. The house is equipped with everything you need, great cooking facilities with all the basics, nice lounge room to relax and a GREAT bed. We also travelled with a 9 month old baby and Jenny provided a porta cot and some toys. A great base to explore Loch Lomond.

And we are only 45 minutes by car from Glasgow city centre or Glasgow International Airport. Walkers and cyclists are spoilt for choice with the John Muir Way passing the front door, and the West Highland Way at the other side of the village. Of course you don’t need to take on either of those in full, with easily accessible sections being a more leisurely way to enjoy them, or any of the other trails. Pets allowed.
Croftamie is a quiet, picturesque village. The house is a couple of hundred metres from the next neighbours.
  • After being disappointed about our trip abroad being cancelled our stay at the oval well and truly cheered us up. Highlights would be the the stylish and cosy interior of the room, quick responses from the host and great location. As it’s only about half an hour from Glasgow it’s the perfect balance of escaping the city but also not having to travel hours in the car. We loved all the small touches such as the welcome blackboard, fairy lights in the garden and the store in the garden which had board games etc in it for the guests to use. Would definitely recommend and will be back.

I was super impressed with all the hosts little welcoming touches from the personalised blackboard and the front door to the de-icer and scrapers placed at the parking bays. I hope this will be the first of many visits! Until next time... Greg & Ellis

  • Great location in Drymen and the place had parking. We highly recommend the Old Mill in Killearn. It was our best meal in all of Scotland and wasn’t far from Drymen!

    Erin2019-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • This was the second time I had booked the flat for visitors. It was very clean again like last time. It was also perfect for my 88 year old mum: ground floor access and walk in shower with low step. Louise always replied quickly when I had questions. Highly recommended!

  • You will not be disappointed by this accommodation: very clean, spacious, nicely decorated, warm, and some nice wee touches (tea and coffee in the cupboards etc). I would recommend this accommodation unreservedly, and have done to quite a few of my friends - I think they will be booking it next time they are in Drymen... :-) !

    Lauren2018-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you for letting us stay at your place. It was in a great location, with all the facilities you could need. Bed was really comfy, elliot was quick to respond when we called.

  • This cottage has a perfect location in Drymen, next to a small supermarket, a restaurant, a pub and a public parking lot. The house is fully equipped and is a good base for walkers. For 4 people the second bed is a bit small, so better for 2 to 3 people.

    Lieke2018-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • Great place in a great location. My sister & husband stayed at Louise & Elliott's with their 2 dogs and really enjoyed their stay. The flat is in a great location, clean and very well equipped. Check in was very easy with the key box. Highly recommended, especially as dogs are allowed in too. It's very hard to find dog friendly accommodation in Drymen. Thank you!

  • A beautiful place to relax after we walked the west highland way. A short trip to Glengoyne Distillery as well. Katrina was a delightful host! Engaging conversationalist, quick to respond, and true Scottish hospitality. Coming from a Mississippian (The “Hospitality State”) that’s saying something.

    Michael2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic getaway, with a superb and hospitable host. Katrina went out her way to ensure our stay went as smoothly as possible; offering a late check out, and with amenities such as de-icer and scrapers for the car. Highly recommend, and ideal for the dog too.

    Ashley2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommend. Set away from the crowds in a cosy little set up, you will not be disappointed.

    Aaron2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Such an amazing design with all the comforts of an en-suite hotel room. The perfect getaway and a unique experience, we would love to come back in the summer! The breakfast accompaniments was a particularly lovely touch that no other BnB had provided. Would stay again.

    Lola2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Myself and my fiancé stayed for just one night however we wished we could have stayed longer. The arch was such a cool space, spotlessly clean and had great little touches such as bagels and porridge for the morning. We can’t comment on the surrounding area too much, as we didn’t stay long, however we drank at the Clachan (the oldest licensed pub in Scotland apparently). We look forward to booking again soon! Thank you!

  • Hilary is a very friendly host and tge B&B is comfortable and cosy

    Dietmar2019-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • Hilary is a great host. She gave me good tips for the surrounding area. The breakfast was good and the room very nice. The bed was super comfortable. The B&B is located on a street but the room was quiet because it was facing back to the meadow . I can recommend Hilary B&B. It is a great starting point if you want to explore Loch Lomond.

    Christin2019-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • It was a great stay at Hilary s house. She picked me up from Drymen. The porridge for breakfast was lovely. Really nice lady. Highly recommended!

  • Hilary was an incredibly nice host. Very well organised. Everything was exactly how she described it. The rooms are very good, and even though the House is by a main road the place is very quiet. She makes awesome breakfast. I would visit again! Regards Alessandra

  • Excellent B&B

    Dietmar2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • If you are looking for accommodation in a beautiful, peaceful setting this is the place for you. Hilary is a charming, considerate and helpful host, who does her utmost to ensure that your stay is enjoyable, from the moment that you arrive. Her accommodation is exceptional, clean, tidy and comfortable, with the use of a lounge as well as your bedroom. Her breakfasts are excellent, especially the optional smoked salmon. I would say that a car is essential, since the local bus does not appear to run that often, but there is plenty of parking space. I could not fault Hilary’s place at all and am hoping to return there soon.

    John2019-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • Clean, comfy and courteous!

    Michael2019-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • My stay at Hilary’s place was lovely. My room had everything I needed, including a cozy atmosphere and very comfortable bed. Hilary was helpful in providing tips on local things to do/places to have a meal and was accommodating to my needs. Her cat, Hamish, made an appearance and she is adorable! I would recommend a stay at The Old School house to anyone!

  • Solly's place is cuteness personified but practical into the bargain. The self contained, two storey apartment was perfect for our group of 4 people and very comfortable with everything you could want. The location for all things Lock Lomond and environs could not have been better and the village is so charming. The beds were comfortable, the location quiet and self contained facilities well sorted.

  • Yuliya and Mike's beautiful house is situated in a very quiet and peaceful area, I had no problem finding it. The room is very cosy, beautifully decorated, the bathroom quite large and luminous. The whole place is spotless. Yuliya and Mike are charming hosts, they took good care of me, gave me some good advice about the visits I could do around. I had very interesting conversations with them. Yuliya's vegan breakfast is delicious and very healthy. I would definitely come back.

    Anne2019-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely hosts and facilities. Mike was able to suggest to us many places we could go and things we could do locally. Breakfast was lovely! Would recommend to anyone to stay for a night or long weekend :)

  • Attic room bright and spacious on the floor of a large house nice and quiet. Very good bedding (super king size bed). Very large modern bathroom with shower and tub down the hall. Shampoo and shower gel available. However, bad surprise on arrival, contrary to what the announcement said, we had to share it with another person.

    Nathalie2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Yuliya's place is a great way to enjoy the beautiful area near Loch Lomond. A clean and comfortable room and a delicious vegan breakfast. We would definitely repeat.

  • Yuliya’s place is a great airbnb experience. The room is big, clean and nicely decorated. Yuliya and her husband were both lovely and very helpful. They gave us tips where to eat and what to see in Glasgow, and were really interesting people to talk to. The house its half an hour drive from Glasgow- so If you’re planning to spend time in Glasgow (as was our case) might be a bit remote, but other than that- only positive feedback for this experience!!! Thanks a lot Guys for your hospitality!! It was great to know you!

  • We had an amazing stay! It's like home away from home. The house were fantastic, relaxing and it had everything that we need. This has been our best Airbnb experience. The house is clean with complete amenities. The open fireplace was gorgeous, my wife loved it. We did a lot of activities nearby for our 7-day stay, like Glengoyne Distillery, Doune & Balloch Castle, Loch Lomond Trossachs National Park and trip to nearby lakes and rivers. We tried The Old Mill Inn and the food were great! Everyone were so friendly and helpful. Thank you for making our wedding anniversary a very special one. We'll definitely recommend your place and hope to go back soon. Cheers!

  • Fabulous place to stay. Very comfortable and great location as cental to many areas. Great area for a variety of different walks to do, including section of West Highland Way. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this Air B n B .

    Karen2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying in this rather grand comfortable family house. The house is well equipped with a particularly great kitchen and dining area, there are also cosy areas to sit- a fabulous front room with a big TV. The house is exactly as described in the photos. The location is brilliant- so much stunning scenery, Loch Lomand is near, we drove around it, and visited Luss and several viewing points- as recommended by the v helpful local information office in Balloch. The bedrooms are comfy with nice beds. There are stacks of books, and some lovely family mementoes around. It’s feels very much like a home from home. We would stay again as we loved it, and we would like to see more of the local landscape. We came for a wedding taking place in Killearn town hall- (which incidentally is a great venue). In addition communication with Shona was great and quick. (The Old Mill in the village is a lovely pub/ restaurant but you may need to book, we also had pancakes at The 3 sisters and bought croissants from the deli/ wine shop at the side of the pub- Hewitt & Aker. A well equipped village.)

    Rebecca2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • This was our first time booking with airbnb, so was apprehensive. But Shona, your house was perfect. Absolutely everything I could have hoped for and more. Amazing garden, spacious dining kitchen, comfy bedrooms, stunning staircase and cozy wood burner to end the night. Shona was great at keeping in touch and we really felt at home.

  • This listing is for a proper home, which is a lovely change from so many Airbnbs that are clearly not real living spaces. It was such a treat to settle in to a place that was well-equipped and cosy. The location is great for exploring the area and the local pub is fantastic. Thanks, Shona!

  • We would have put 6 out of 5 stars! :) It was a pleasure to stay at Carolyn, even though we only stayed one night. The room and bathroom were perfectly clean. Beautifully decorated room, comfortable beds, everything is in accordance with the photos. And in addition a little sweetness awaited us next to the kettle and tea available. The breakfast was plentiful and very good, served by Carolyn who could not do enough for us and could also recommend nearby restaurants for dinner. I highly recommend !!
