Fantastic cottage, spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated and furnished, well equipped for a comfortable relaxing peaceful stay. Lovely views over the fields and countryside, very relaxing! Michelle is a wonderful host with the perfect balance of friendliness and helpfulness but at the same time respectful of privacy. She was the perfect host and really made us both welcome. We came to this area specifically for a 90th anniversary classic car club celebration at nearby Burghley House on Sunday 8th June but were not aware at just how beautiful the surrounding countryside is here and we spent Saturday exploring Rutland Water which is stunning ! Pretty villages and quaint pubs and Stamford itself is a very attractive town with lovely honey coloured stone buildings and pleasant shops. Overall a wonderful stay - we will be back !

Puddle Cottage - what a beautiful, cosy place to stay, within walking distance to Rutland Water. On arrival communication from Anna was excellent, and we were able to check in early, and there was a lovely welcome gift of Wine, cakes and milk too. The cottage is just great, Anna has made it feel like it is your own home, with so many home comforts, comfy furniture and bed, decent TV, a fully stocked kitchen, with lots of pots, pans, utensils and crockery, no skimping at all. Everything stands out a good quality - which is so nice when you are away from home. We stayed with our black Labrador and he was also happy, with a secure garden for him (and some doggy treats from Anna). We did lots of walks around the lovely friendly village, and around Rutland Water, and also had a fab dinner one evening at The Fox, North Luffenham. We would come back again and would thoroughly recommend Puddle Cottage.

I lovely place to stay, which we used as out base when walking the Rutland Round. Loved having Netflix and watched a couple of films/series in the evenings. Local supermarkets and services very convenient.

Gorgeous little cottage in a lovely peaceful location, surrounded by nature. Beautifully decorated. It was warm and very comfortable. It had everything you needed. We walked to the nearby pub for dinner one night and that was really lovely too.

A delightful Victorian cottage , well placed for visiting Stamford- and with easy parking . The house was well equipped, exceptionally clean and beautifully decorated. Unfortunately the weather didn’t allow us to make use of the quiet courtyard . Only one negative for me - the steep , narrow staircases .

Lovely place to stay with family. Only downside was strength if Wi-Fi! When you have a professional gamer in your party this can be annoying! Other than that the place was ideal for us visiting as a family, comfortable beds, with lovely walks for our little dogs too..thank you

Wonderful place. Such a peaceful place to stay. Super clean and comfy and very well equipped. Jane is a super friendly host and made us feel very comfortable. Her dog Pimms is a delight too and really brightened up the stay for the kids. Jane was trusting enough to take the dog for a long walk which was one of the highlights of our trip. The entertainment area is such a lovely place to relax. We made plenty of use of the pool which was very well equipped to keep the kids entertained (noodles, floats, play toys). We even enjoyed one movie night in that area one the huge comfy sofas. The surrounding village is wonderful too and nice to potter around. Will defo be going back very soon.

What a fantastic place! We stayed for two comfortable nights with our children and dog and had a fabulous time. We had a picnic on the lawn overlooking the Vale of Belvoir, ran the dog around the many fields surrounding the house and spent time watching TV and playing with the kids in the front room. Richard and Jo had put out the cot ahead of our visit, and even had bed bumpers ready for toddlers. The house is spacious and well appointed in a fantastic location.

Joanna was extremely helpful and very knowledgeable. Quick responses and very clear instructions on arrival. The apartment was absolutely beautiful with amazing views across Rutland Water. Felt extremely relaxed and comfortable during the whole stay. We will definitely book again very soon. Thank you Joanna 😊

What a beautiful and special place! So many lovely little touches and such an interesting building! The surroundings are so pretty, much wildlife and it felt like it had its own Mediterranean micro climate! Sharon & Lulu were great hosts, so helpful and responsive. Really flexible on check in and check out times and provided local recommendations. This included Fords Kitchen, we were lucky enough to have Tom provide dinner one evening. The food was delicious and beautiful, also a complete stress free treat because he knows the venue and hosts! Having a yoga studio on site was a gorgeous addition. Lulu guided us through the most magical private yoga, breath work & sound bath. I very much hope to return! ❤️🥰

Rutland Water hotel is just amazing. So beautiful surrounding, so much nature to explore, so many animals to discover…it’s the perfect stay to relax and enjoy. Very family oriented as well, children would be happy to play a mini golf, enjoy some time in the shared pool (when open, we were unlucky) or just play in the nature. The lodge is perfect for a family of 6. It has all the amenities you need to enjoy a perfect break. The beds are comfy and linen clean same as in the hotel. The host is very nice, responsive and helpful. We loved our stay and will be back again soon.

We were only staying at the hut for one night, but it was absolutely fantastic. It was immaculately cleaned, and had everything you needed. It is finished to such a high standard, and feels more like a hotel room than a shepherds hut! Gemma was very kind and flexible with check in times. We will definitely be returning again! The only possible downside, is that the second hut is little bit too close. Luckily it was empty for our night, but if someone else was there it wouldn’t have felt so exclusive. Thanks for having us :)

A lovely place to stay. Loads of pubs and eating places. Parking is a bit of a nightmare though. There is a car park close by but it is £8 per day and it adds a lot to the cost of your holiday if you are staying a few days. It wouldn’t put me off going again though. Hosts were very informative and helpful. House lovely and clean. Lovely shops to look round. All in all a fantastic time had

We rented this stunning cottage for my sister’s hen party, and it was absolutely perfect! The house and garden are massive and gorgeous. Ellie was incredibly accommodating, making the entire experience seamless and enjoyable. Couldn’t be more happier with everything.

Can really recommend Missy's House, the property itself is immaculate and has been thoughtfully fitted out. Fully accessible, everything has been considered. Lovely for Rupert to meet us there when we arrived and show us around the property. The local recommendations were really helpful too, can thoroughly recommend the Exeter Arms for Sunday lunch :-)

This is one of the nicest airbnbs we’ve stayed. The location was great- easy walk into town, which had lots of independent shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs. The surrounding area was filled with historic houses to visit. The house itself is really cute and cosy. Everything we needed was there. The outdoor space was really inviting as well. The house was also very clean. Communication was great- Katie stopped in one day when we had questions and was always available. Great place to stay!

We had such a calm and peaceful long weekend in Castle Bytham. We were blessed with beautiful weather which meant we could use the outside lawn. We were made to feel so welcome by Annabel and Barney and Fennel! The barn was so well equipped and lots of space for us all to eat and relax together. The beds, linen and towels were amazing for an Airbnb. A perfect weekend in the sun in the middle of nowhere but great walking and lots to do a short drive away. Cosy and charming stay in Stamford- Easy walking distance to town / shops / restaurants / Burghley Park. Tim was quick to respond if we needed anything . The home was well stocked with essentials and the welcome basket was a lovely addition. Thank you for a great stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Kate & Ian’s place. The surroundings are so beautiful and peaceful. The annexe was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. Many thanks for a super stay. Highly recommend.
