Family-friendly holiday rentals in Royal Pines

Grace is an absolutely amazing Airbnb host with an incredible level of hospitality! Without a doubt, the property was the cleanest I've ever stayed at. Every amenity was exactly as described, if not better, and the entire property was not just clean, but truly pristine and thoughtfully set up. Grace was also incredibly responsive to messages and very helpful, offering lots of fantastic recommendations for the area. I highly recommend staying at her property—she truly goes above and beyond, you won't regret it.

This cabin was the perfect base camp for a week of biking, hiking, and trail running. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our own meals (but lots of options within a 20 minute drive when we didn't feel like cooking!). We enjoyed being able to bring our dog along with us, and he loved getting to sniff around in the woods by the house. We hope to come back!

Really lovely guest suite in a perfect location to explore Asheville and the surrounding mountains. I stayed for a month and was so pleased with the location. There's a nice little local bar and a coffee shop less than a mile away. The space was very comfy (especially the bed!) and cozy and felt like a small home away from home. Hosts were super nice people, kind and proactive. There's no TV, which was perfect for me! Good WiFi. I will definitely stay there again if/when I'm in Asheville.

Beautiful spot. Matthew is a gentleman host who made us feel at home. Bungalow had an Aspen ski vibe which added a flair to the snowfall. The hot tub was warm and roomy, so says this zoftig lady. The snow views were gorgeous. Definitely would stay again.

We stayed here with another couple and had a lovely stay. Lots of great amenities, big, very clean. We enjoyed the hot tub, snacks and coffee. Instructions were clear. Check out and other 'rules' were very reasonable. All four of us mentioned that we would love to stay here again.

Great location for a quick family weekend get away. Loved the scenic location, wildlife, and sound of the creek from the comfy porch. Listing as described, kitchen clean and functional. Beds/pillows clean and comfortable. Location close to Asheville and local attractions.

This was an amazing place to get away for some peace and quiet! Michelle was proactive reaching out to us about our stay and so kind and responsive to our questions. She remembered it was my birthday weekend and made sure to ask how we were enjoying our time away from home. The place was so cute and the decor was very unique (love the sinks). Very clean! Will definitely visit again.

This comfortable cottage was well worth the price. The house felt remote with sounds of nature and lots of trees, it was only minutes from downtown and restaurants. The three mini split ACs kept the temperature uniform throughout the whole space. It was clean and quiet and exactly what was advertised.

Dawn and Ron were amazing hosts! They were very responsive and gave amazing suggestions for our girls trip. Pippin and Frodo gave us so much joy! I would highly recommended to anyone looking for a place to enjoy some peace and relaxation but convince of experiencing all that Asheville has to offer.

We loved our stay! We were in town for a wedding and Highland Brewing and it was the perfect spot for us! The house was clean and the neighborhood was quiet, and the yard was perfect for our pup! Highly recommend!

Had a weekend getaway from the coast to the mountains. Cynthia’s place was spotlessly clean and spacious. It was nicely decorated and reflected her personality; it wasn’t sterile or generic which made it feel welcoming. The space was a perfect size for my husband me. The bed was so comfortable my husband liked it better than our Sleep Number Bed. Would have loved to have spent time on the deck but the weather didn’t permit it. The location made for easy access to Asheville, Lake Lure and Maggie Valley.

Absolutely lovely. Michael was a phone call away when I had questions, concerns or needed help. Perfect location for Botanical gardens, Farmers Market at UNC and walking to downtown Asheville. Loved my stay!

Ashley’s rental was perfect for myself, husband and 2 dogs. We stayed here for a month and have nothing but great things to say about this rental and our experience with Ashley. The rental was true to the photos and description listed in air bnb. She was accommodating and proactive with any needs we had. The location is great with close access to shopping, food and the highway. If you bring your dogs. There’s a small park on the same road as you’re going toward Sierra Nevada on your left. The house was clean, smelled great when we walked in and literally had anything you would need. Toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, laundry detergent, hand soap and dish soap. Basically anything you would need she had. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend this to anyone. Great price for a great location with a wonderful host!

We loved our week away at Melissa’s cabin. The setting was peaceful and private, while allowing for easy access to downtown Brevard and Pisgah Forest. Our family of 5 had plenty of space to spread out- both indoors and out. We appreciated the well-stocked kitchen and enjoyed most of our meals in. The cabinet full of games and coloring books was a nice addition. Melissa was communicative on the front end and available if needed during our stay.

It was immediately apparent that Robert's place was one of the good ones! It was a charming historic bungalow furnished and outfitted with care and thoughtfulness. Handsome antique furniture served us well, classic lamps and artwork lent elegance, comfortable furniture arranged to allow for easy gatherings. The kitchen lacked for nothing and the large antique wood plank table accomdated our extended family. Bedrooms featured comfortable beds and crisp linens as well as blinds on windows that opened and provided delightful cross breezes. The bathrooms were spotlessly clean and showers had seemingly endless hot water. We appreciated the handy laundry room. A back deck and patio provided safe haven for our bicycles as well as a barbecue grill! Mostly we enjoyed the comfortable screened porch . We spent every evening here enjoying the sounds of happy children at the neighborhood swimming pool as well as a spring downpour. We hope to return someday for the next family reunion.

The Lake house was one of the quietest and most peaceful air b-and-b's we have stayed at. The new back deck is the highlight of the lake cabin. The rest of the cabin is fully equipped and functional, but we hardly left the back deck. With its fenced in area and gate was perfect for the dog. The kayaks and dock are a nice addition. It is located close to good dining at Micas restaurant and Whiteside brewery. We came for the hiking in Panthertown area. We will be back again.

We loved our quiet weekend away eventhough it poured. The cabin was very cozy and warm and roses and champagne were a wonderful surprise. We thoroughly enjoyed reconnecting as a couple while watching movies and simply unplugging from work and family for a few days. We will definitely come back once the weather warms up.

The location of this beautiful house is in a mountain nature preserve. Simply amazing. Like staying in a national park.

ms.sandy and her husband are the sweetest people ever, we missed check in by 4 hours so she was worried and made sure we were okay, upon arrival and her explaining everything to us she took the time to made sure we ate something and made us a smoothie just in case we didn’t. she has the most beautiful home and it’s exactly like the pictures. when you look over the balcony at night you see the most beautiful firefly’s, and wake up to the most brightest sunrises, you can even see the mountains in the back!! the room was so clean and spacious so we will definitely be back again and hopefully for longer!

Carolyn's place sits at the top of the hill above the shore of Lake Junaluska. The apartment is clean and well furnished. Instructions for everything from checking in to checking out are clear, and the local recommendations are spot on. It's a really good value for the money.
