Houseboat holiday rentals in Rotterdam

We thoroughly enjoyed a long weekend aboard Johan's houseboat, in a great location in the Jordaan! It was an experience simply not available in a hotel or B&B. We drank morning coffee and late afternoon cocktails on the deck whle soaking up the few remaining days of late summer sun. It was ideally located close to neighborhood restaurants, shops, and even weekend organic food and flea market, and a short walk to tourist attractions in the old city center. If not up for a longer walk along the canal to the museum quarter and beyond, a public transportation options were always available nearby. Communication prior to arrival and during our stay was proactive and prompt. The inside of the houseboat was even more spacious than we anticipated, and the beds were comfortable. We'll definitely opt for a stay here during our next visit to Amsterdam!

I cannot recommend this boat enough. I wish I was back there right now! What a lovely surprise that it's even better than the photos. Extremely clean, excellent finish, very unique and an overall beautiful space. Location is lovely, a short walk to everything and easy tram access if you don't feel like walking. Leaving the best till last... Sietske is a wonderful and kind host. She couldn't do enough for us and made us feel extremely welcome. Thank you so much for helping make a big birthday even more special!!

Lovely home Perfect neighborhood to stay if touring Amsterdam Host extremely responsive to any of our needs

Das kleine Hausboot mitten Yachthafen ist wirklich süß und der enge Raum ist hervorragend ausgenutzt worden. Wir waren zu dritt und sind super mit dem Platz klargekommen. Wir waren allerdings nur drei Nächte dort - wer länger bleibt, hat vielleicht Probleme, viel Gepäck unterzubringen. In der Küche haben wir nichts vermisst. Das Bad ist sogar größer als gedacht, die Dusche hat ausreichend Druck. Die Betten sind bequem. Allerdings sind die Wände recht hellhörig. Der Blick in den Hafen vom kleinen Balkon ist ein Traum. Gegenüber ist allerdings eine Segelschule. Uns haben die Kinder dort nicht gestört- aber wer lärmempfindlich ist, sollte es wissen. Am Abend war dann aber Ruhe.Ein kleiner Shop mit leckeren Brötchen ist gut zu erreichen. Wir waren sehr gerne da!

We absolutely loved our stay at Anouk’s place. It was extremely comfortable for 4 people and had a wonderful living space that felt comfortable and homely. We loved having access to the bikes and despite having inclement weather it was an easy ride to the wonderful Zaanse Schans and the old windmills. Quintessential Amsterdam! The jewel on the crown was when the rain finally stopped, we were able to experience the stunning canal view from the moored boat at the back. Unfortunately the weather hadn’t permitted us to use the boat to explore the other canals but it is definitely something we would love to do on a future visit. Anouk was fabulous at communicating and left comprehensive information for us to make the most of the area. We loved dining at her favourite restaurant and probably made our mark as we were leaving! (Another story!) Ha! We definitely caught the spirit of the place! Could not recommend this highly enough. Thanks for a fabulous stay 🙏🏽❤️

Wir haben uns mit der ganzen Familie sehr wohl gefühlt auf diesem wunderschönen Hausboot! Marie Louise war sehr hilfsbereit und eine tolle Gastgeberin. Wir kommen gerne wieder. 🥰

Hanco’s house boat was just perfect for our stay. The location was perfect and we could easily walk to everything that we wanted to see, and there was a fantastic supermarket (Ekoplaza) and cafe deli (Stach) a 5 min walk away. We also enjoyed watching the coots and their chicks in a nest right outside the window! Hanco was incredibly helpful and responsive, and kindly put a travel cot up for our arrival.

Great space, great host! Hadewych was so responsive and helpful. I just loved the charm of the boat, it was a really neat experience! The bed was SO comfortable, I slept wonderfully. I do wish the couch was more comfortable though, was not conducive to getting comfy after a long day out exploring. It is an older boat so smells a bit musty and a few cobwebs in the chandelier, but you are able to open the windows and get the fresh air in which is very nice. Kitchen was well equipped, just didn't have a freezer which I wanted to store ice and ice cream etc. Had a problem with the pump but Hadewych was quick to remedy the situation. The location was superb - there was a fantastic grocery right around the corner (the produce is delicious!!), a lot of restaurants, cafes, etc. Overall a really great experience that I will cherish!

We had a great stay at Michael’s place, it was a beautiful house boat in a very peaceful quiet location. It was a good distance to walk to the free boat that runs to Amsterdam central. There was a free bottle of Prosecco in the apartment and Michael even bought us a second and some chocolate for a miscommunication on the first night. The bed was comfy and everything was spotlessly clean. We would definitely stay here again.

We were so lucky to be able to stay in such a beautiful place! The beds were comfy, the surroundings were peaceful and beautiful... it was a lovely escape from the busy, city-center. We LOVED the use of the kitchen and the deck just off the kitchen. Hein was so good to have bikes available for us. There is little available directly near the home but a 10 minute bike ride along the lovely road and over the bridge gets you to all you could want. We were sad to leave our Amsterdam home and will hope Hein's home is available when we return.

Wir haben es wirklich genossen. Die Umgebung ist ruhig und traumhaft schön. Das kleine Häuschen ist etwas besonderes. Es war gut ausgestattet. Haben uns wohl gefühlt.

Fern’s houseboat was AMAZING! Hands down my favorite Airbnb ever. Interior was beautiful and well kept. Location was close to so many shops, restaurants and the tram. Fern was very helpful and always responsive. Pepper was easily my favorite part of the stay though 😊 🐈‍⬛ ❤️

Our stay at Claire’s place was nothing short of magical. The location is hard to beat in the heart of Jordaan, steps away from great Dutch cafes, every restaurant we ate at was within a ten minute walk, every one was fantastic. As well as minutes walk from transit. Somehow though being in the middle of everything, being on the water in this houseboat makes you feel like you’re in your own private oasis. Claire has great taste, her home is designed impeccably, with one of the major highlights being the record player, listening to classics like the Beatles, Bowie, The Doors while sitting on the back porch taking in the incredible view of the canal. Bonus was the most efficient washer dryer I used during my 3 week stay in Europe and the large dishwasher. Had we stayed longer, we would have cooked, there was a fully stocked Chefs kitchen. Thanks for the perfect end to our adventure!

Mandy’s place was exactly as described and was really well equipped - the sauna was a great bonus. It was really clean and the surrounding lake was a great place to take a break from the bustle of central Amsterdam, as well as the town of Aalsmeer having everything you need for a relaxing break. 10/10 wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und es war alles da, was man brauchte. Das Hausboot ist liebevoll eingerichtet und sauber. Die Umgebung ist sehr schön und man kann einiges unternehmen. Die Möglichkeit das SUP zu verwenden war besonders toll. Das Hausboot liegt an einem Steg zwischen ein paar anderen Hausbooten. Der Ausblick ist traumhaft, man hat ihn nur nicht für sich alleine. Aber wo hat man das schon? Alles in allem hatten wir eine wunderbare Zeit. Vielen Dank dafür.

Valerio’s houseboat was incredible and a true highlight of our trip to Amsterdam. It was very big and had the cutest and most clever details throughout. We stayed a few places during our trip and we all agreed her houseboat was our favorite!!

Meine Familie und ich waren leider nur für 2 Nächte bei Tamara im Hausboot. Es hat uns alles sehr gut gefallen und wir ziehen es in Erwägung wieder aber für ein paar Tage länger zu kommen. Der Kontakt mit Tamara war sehr angenehm und unkompliziert. Klare Empfehlung! Vielen lieben Dank Tamara

Das Hausboot ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet, (es fehlt an nichts- eine kleine Einschränkung: Deutsche Fernsehsender waren nicht einstellbar), der Empfang durch die Gastgeber herzlich und die Lage am Wasser (Fluss De Vecht) ist traumhaft. Mit dem Zug von Weesp startend kann man bequem Amsterdam besuchen ! Auch Utrecht ist (mit dem Auto) gut erreichbar! Alles in allem ist das Haus ein sehr empfehlenswertes Reiseziel !!!

We had a great time staying at the houseboat. It‘s a fun experience to be right on the water, and centrally located to many of the city’s destinations!

Tranquil respite as home base. We used Thomas’ home as home base for exploring Netherlands. It’s well connected to bus and trains. The neighborhood always felt safe even when walking back from the train after dark. Families with kids were often playing and talking in the street and park in the evenings. But the biggest reason you should not hesitate to book is the peacefulness of this retreat. Beautifully filled with light and art, we looked forward to the view of the park as swans glided past the windows every morning and every evening. The home is unique and unforgettable. Thomas made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. He even arranged to have basic groceries provided so we didn’t have to go shopping on arrival. Beds were comfortable, the kitchen and bathroom well equipped.

Hjalte’s place was great and looked just like the pictures. It was easy to find with the directions he gave us and he was very responsive and helpful with any questions. If the weather is good you can jump in the water and go for a swim. Only downside was that the weather was really hot during our stay and the houseboat heated up pretty quick, which is ok if you open the windows in the evening. We had a great time there and would recommend it!

It’s no surprise that this is booked solid. I’m not sure how we found two nights available but I’m so glad!!! I would live here! Spacious, comfortable, charming. Love the neighborhood!! Don’t wait to grab the availability if it’s there. You will not regret it.
