Lake Como apartment in historic villa

The apartment occupies the ground floor of a grand villa built in 1903. It was renovated in 2022-23 and retains many period features. Guests have access to a large communal garden with views of the lake and mountains. The villa is located in Somana village, part of the Lake Como town of Mandello del Lario. Somana is popular with hikers as walks lead directly from the village. Mandello is less “discovered” compared to other lake towns and has a beach, bars, restaurants and ferry services.

You'll be catapulted into another era! Wooden beams, a huge fireplace, stone walls and antiques... make the studio suggestive and atmospheric. It is suitable for 1-2 people. A nice, cozy apartment in a nice, quiet village. There are plenty of towns nearby if you want to get out of the hustle and bustle, but it's always nice to come back to the picturesque village in the evening. The apartment overlooks the lake very nicely and is equipped with every comfort. The hosts are also very friendly and helpful. We'd love to come back!

We had a lovely week at Mandello. The place is simple and beautiful, everything you need. We didn't like it quite as much at the lake, but in the mountains you can hike wonderfully, right from the front door.
