Holiday rentals with lake access in River Thames

This was just the most perfect trip. The house was lovely with stunning views of the lake. Everything was clean and tidy, with everything that’s needed for a few days away. There are many walks you can do from the house and lots of bars/restaurants near by. Would highly recommend and look forward to staying again.

Carthorse Barn is just simply stunning ! So spacious and beautifully decorated, we felt right at home . The day we arrived weather was not the greatest so having a wood stove was blissful. The cottage is very spacious and has everything needed for a comfortable stay , kitchen is fully equipped, downstairs toilet a welcomed bonus. Upstairs both bedrooms are immaculate, spacious and have very comfy beds . I loved the window bench in the kids bedroom, such a wonderful nook to relax. The main bedroom has the biggest and comfiest bed I have ever seen , such a beautiful wooden headboard too. I loved the free standing bath. The farm is also lovely and we enjoyed going to see the pigs and walking round the lakes.

Beautiful property, spotlessly clean and well equipped. Set right on a very peaceful lake; was great siting on the desk watching the water sports. Easy to find and enter and good communication from the hosts. No faults at all.

We had a great 4 nights at Lucy’s. The garden is breathtaking, the pool lovely and a short walk takes you to the historic pub (complete with Morris Dancers). Lucy was very welcoming and friendly and the house comfortable and within easy travelling distance of some of the best parts of the Cotswolds. We would love to return. Thanks Lucy!

We had a wonderful stay at Jeff’s beautiful house. The living space was perfect for our big group. The decor of the house is lovely. Jeff answered all our questions and Shirley was also extremely helpful. We used the big garden a lot during the nice weather. The master bedroom is above the kitchen so it can get a little noisy. Otherwise I high recommend!

We had a great stay and Lynn was a great host. House was fantastic and in an amazing location. I highly recommend it!

We enjoyed our stay at the Lake House. The kitchen was well stocked and the private outdoor space made meals feel special. We would definitely come back again.

I had a truly wonderful stay at this beautiful home. The house was absolutely perfect—spotlessly clean, thoughtfully decorated, and equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable and relaxing visit. I was especially touched by the extra care taken to prepare for my son’s stay: a high chair, cot bed, and even some lovely toys were all thoughtfully provided, which made a big difference for us as a family. The garden was a peaceful haven and perfect for enjoying a morning coffee or letting my little one play. The location is ideal for a longer stay, with easy access to nearby attractions for day trips—and even London is not too far away. Every detail in the home showed how much the host cares about the guests’ comfort. It truly felt like a home away from home. I’m so grateful for the warm hospitality and would love to come back again!

Booked this apartment as it was convenient to get to for a film shoot we had at London Excel. Pictures and description matched perfectly, Faisal was super responsive to all of my questions, and we’ll definitely stay here again when the need arises. Great accommodation in a perfect location!

Nina’s apartment is a lovely spot, right next to the Excel Centre and City Airport. Planes can be easily heard when outside or when the tv is off. The neighbourhood seems nice and friendly, we ate in the chicken shop which I would recommend to anyone staying. All the amenities you would need in a hotel room style accommodation. Will be staying here again if we go back to the area!

Amy is very kind, friendly, attentive and a quick responder. I felt very good in the flat. Very clean, bright, spacious with a great bed. Felt very cosy in the flat and there is also a big balcony with an open view. It is more of an industrial zone, but i liked the fact the view is not looking into some other block of flats, i cherished the view of the morning and evening sky. The grocery store is literally around the corner. You have two lines that you can use if you want to go to central London. Central line (Hanger lane-13min walk) and Piccadilly line (Park Royal station - 7min away) The area of a flat is peaceful.

A very cosy flat, nice area. Lovely surroundings . Flat is just as described and shown in photos, very nice modern and clean. Has everything to make you feel right at home , would definitely come back again & would definitely recommend. Seb was a great host. Responds very fast and very friendly. Thank you Seb ! The flat is beautiful stairs quite steep lovely bedroom and lounge. It’s a three minute walk to the perch an amazing pub with garden and great food. It’s half an hour river walk to the trout another amazing pub with views. The walk to Oxford is half an hour across fields and along the river. Easy walk and beautiful. There is a Waitrose few minutes drive away. The welcome back was lovely. The hosts so lovely . The garden beautiful. This is our second visit and will not be our last.

Lovely stay at Willow Warbler. The estate is beautiful & maintained to a high standard. Very peaceful. The apartment had everything we needed including extra touches like milk, travel cot, washing machine & dishwasher tablets, plenty of cooking equipment, tea bags, oil for cooking etc. There is a nice restaurant & pool on site. We didn’t use the gym as the opening hours weren’t early enough (10-5 so we were out for the day). We travelled with a 9 month old but there looked to be lots of things for older children such as soft play, water sports & play ground. Lots of bird watching to be done. Jane was very good at communicating with us & checking everything was ok. We used the apartment as a base to go out for the day such as to Oxford & Bourton but the apartment is very comfortable if you prefer chilling. Would recommend if you are looking for a quiet relaxed break.

Many thanks to Jaany and Richard for proactively offering extra assistance to make my in-laws stay as comfortable as possible. It was perfect for a one-night stopover in the area.

Great communication and lovely house near the outdoor heated swimming pool, tennis courts and sauna

Jane's cottage was beautifully located in a private spot, surrounded by gardens and fields. The cottage is very quaint and very well appointed with everything you need for your stay. We enjoyed walking around the gardens, field, stream and weir and spotted a lot of wildlife en route. We couldn't have asked for more.

Just what we needed when we stayed locally for a wedding. Marion was great - very responsive and accommodating. The cottage was clean, well equipped and has a beautiful courtyard garden attached.

Fantastic place to stay and we’d definitely stay here again. Very clean and well stocked with amenities. The barn is on a farm which itself is lovely. Sheep and horses very friendly, as was Andrew :-).

Fairhazel was a lovely cottage. Spotlessly clean with many thoughtful touches and lots of goodies. Lower Mill Estate is a lovely place to stay with lots to do - paddle boarding, swimming, walking, tennis and cycling. We would definitely recommend and will return. Thank you Jason

From start to finish, this place is an absolute dream. So peaceful and relaxing, it was the perfect little weekend getaway. The house and surroundings were absolutely spotless, the ducks were adorable, and the attention to detail with providing extras needed for comfort was superb. Clare was a fantastic host. Always responsive but never intrusive. If you're looking for somewhere to stay for a few days or more with your partner - or just on your own - where you can recharge your batteries, this is it.

We just spent 3 nights at Rivenhall Place and it feels like we’ve returned from a week in Tuscany! It was a truly special holiday and I can’t believe we were only an hour or so from home. We got really lucky with the weather so my husband, two daughters (ages 3 and 3 months) and I spent all day by the incredible pool and exploring the grounds. My eldest daughter especially enjoyed saying hi to the alpacas, sheep, geese and horses. We didn’t leave the property once (thanks to the Waitrose delivery) as it had everything we needed for a short break away as a family. Donna and her family made us feel so welcome and I can vouch for her infamous lemon cake - it is truly the best I’ve ever had!
