We had a great stay – the house was lovely and the hosts were incredibly welcoming. They kindly offered us a later checkout, which gave us a more relaxed morning. The location was ideal for visiting York, with the park and ride nearby making everything super convenient. Thank you for having us (and our energetic kids!) – much appreciated

We booked with Sara & Tom on a whim for a nearby Sunrise Solstice Swim, and from the moment we arrived, everything felt five-star. As soon as we pulled into the driveway, they greeted us so warmly and welcomed us into what truly felt like a little oasis. After our swim, breakfast was beautifully and perfectly timed. I barely touched my phone during our stay — the whole experience felt like a peaceful retreat, with just a hint of Downton Abbey charm. My favourite moment? Seeing Tom in his pink apron, playing the perfect host. It honestly felt like we had our very own butler at The Little Abode. I only wish we could’ve stayed longer. Thank you for the best stay ever!!

Perfect spot for visiting family in Seaham. Close to promenade, harbour and great selection of cafes/bars & restaurants nearby. Would happily return to No.16 and recommend to others 5*

The place was small but cozy and directly on the walking trail and next door to a pub. The hot tub was a nice touch. Mandy was so responsive and helpful to every request.

Incredible room, great value for money. The location was only 20minutes walk from town, in a lovely remote area. The room was large, had great facilities and I would definitely stay again.

Really enjoyed staying in the pod, the location is absolutely perfect and incredibly peaceful. Adam and Emma were great hosts and were really accommodating responding to any queries instantly. I would highly recommend staying here if you're looking for a relaxing get away.

It was a lovely place to stay. Very peaceful and had very nice scenery. It was very clean and was welcoming. There was an option of tea and coffee, milk in the fridge and little snacks which is helpful if you have only come for one night. Had a good option of takeouts near by. It was private and out of the way which was nice. It was well worth the money and is a lovely place to stay for a long weekend. Would definitely stay again😊

Lovely hosts, great communication and fab house which looked exactly like the pictures, clean, spacious and very comfortable! We were 5 adults and 2 4yr olds, ample space for all of us. I’ll definitely be back when I’m next in the area. Thanks so much.

We stayed here for four nights, and wish we could have stayed longer! It's so peaceful and cosy. The cottage has everything you need, including beautiful views and a wonderful fireplace. An amazing place to relax and unwind. Warm rooms, a good shower, and a suntrap on the deck out front. There is good phone signal (and WiFi) if you need it, but it's a great place to be tech-free. Close to all of the Roman "attractions". Anne and Maurice were very friendly and welcoming. We will be recommending to friends!

It's always a pleasurable stay with everything I need!

Bulls Close is a wonderful Place and even more beautiful than we expected. We really enjoyed the beautiful Garden, the cosy cottage and all the little thoughtful details provided by Samantha. Austwick is the perfect location to explore the Dales- we recommend a tea in Faizor, the Malhalm Hike and the Ingleton Waterfall Trail. And a nice Pub Lunch with French-English Fusion cuisine and Patisserie in the local Pub.

Susie’s place was just what we needed for a relaxing few days away in the countryside. The space was big, with everything we needed, the photos do not do it justice. We had a huge comfortable bed and everything was spotless from top to bottom. We would highly recommend and would love to come back one day.

Very warm, comfortable and quiet room, with thoughtful touches. Excellent kitchen facilities and dining room, all immaculately clean.

Fantastic stay - we booked Little Winton as we were attending a wedding at Eden Barn. The location is perfect (5 minute car journey) and Little Winton was the perfect place to get ready beforehand. The accommodation is beautiful and the hosts have thought about the details. As our first air b&b stay they have set the bar high. We will be booking to stay again so we can explore more of Kirby Stephen.

Graeme and Helen’s place is a wonderful place to stay. We stayed for a couple of nights with our dog and it was perfect. Lovely area for our dog to safely roam around and a massive paddock area also available to us. The place is spacious and well laid out and has everything you need with additional goodies thrown in. We didn’t use the hot tub but it looked lovely and sure would be a lovely place to be in an evening. Would recommend for anyone to stay and we will look to come back again!

What a lovely find and great few days we spent at Lollybog’s cottage. Sarah was a wonderful host who made us feel right at home. Thank you Sarah for the extra welcoming touches you gave us, and you even included something for our pooch, Kobi 🐾🐕‍🦺 We also appreciated the local information on places to visit and things to do. Second to the host is this lovely cottage. It’s a real tardis that kept on going. Over two floors you have everything you need for a holiday and more. Then you have the lovely garden, the welcoming hot tub and the stunning views over the Yorkshire Dales. We really didn’t want to leave. For sure, we will be back! I have no clue how this little gem is described on ‘what three words’ but it should be ‘stunning, comforting, welcoming’. We enjoyed a wonderful week at Swallows Byre. Dorothy and Nigel are such warm, welcoming and helpful people. The house is homely, clean, comfortable and well equipped and the view from the terrace and garden simply beautiful. We would love to stay again sometime. There's something very special about Swaledale.
