Farmstay holiday rentals in River Tamar

Lovely short stay in Bude. Lesley greeted us upon arrival and was welcoming and friendly. The accommodation was well decorated and spotlessly clean. Felt like staying in a high end beach hut, just the right feel for a few days by the beach. Surroundings were peaceful with superb views of the countryside. Really convenient for trips into Bude town, would definitely recommend.

We wanted to get away from it all in a part of Dartmoor we hadn't been to before and Steve's place seemed to fit the bill. When we got there, we found that it more than met our expectations! The Barn was exactly what we were looking for: a wonderful peaceful location and extremely comfortable and very well-equipped accommodation. The big selling point for us was the fact that the Barn was on lots of well-mapped walks, so that we could go on lovely walks in all directions without having to get in the car. Steve and Tessa were the perfect hosts; they made us feel most welcome and we found we had a lot in common. We very much enjoyed our short stay and look forward to returning to the Barn before long to explore the area further.

We had a super short break at the Otter Cottage. The location is really good, well positioned for Clovelly and the Hartland peninsula to the south, the beaches (and golf courses) of Westwood Ho and Saunton plus Exmoor to the north. Sophie was really welcoming and what really struck us was the attention to detail in the cottage. Everything was well prepared and everything had been thought through to make the stay as relaxing as possible. Highly recommended!

This was our 2nd stay here and we had a fantastic time again. A great base for us to use to explore Cornwall from and some amazing local beaches as well. The lodge was perfect for us and our 2 young children, and gave us a home away from home for the week

We had the most perfect stay at Rosies Retreat with our dog. Lucy was a fantastic host, we loved how accommodating she was through airbnb and we love a key box check in, we were left to enjoy the space which is how we like it but we knew she was there in the background if we did find we needed anything. This is a perfect retreat with a well behaved reactive dog who just loves to look out at a view and has nothing around to spook them 🐾 all three of us are fully recharged and already looking forward to another visit sometime x

This was my second stay at Maggie’s place in Cornwall and all I can say is I wish i hadn’t left it so long. I’d forgotten just how beautiful a location it is and so so peaceful in the evenings after a long day at work. There have been a few additions to the equipment in the kitchen which made my cooking experience even easier than before. But overall…. I love it there and didn’t want to leave it at check out this morning. Thank you Maggie. See you again soon I hope.

Jeanette was a lovely host, gave clear instructions of how to get to the cottage and we arrived to a very nice homemade cream tea! Upon arrival Jeanette gave lots of good recommendations of places near by to visit, a lot of which we did and we had a lovely 3 days. There are some beautiful walks in the area. The cottage was great - had a very homey feel to it. Comfortable bed, cosy fireplace, hot shower and everything you could need in the kitchen. The location was perfect, town and supermarkets close by but also felt very secluded and peaceful. Brilliant view of Brentor church from the garden, only a 15 minute walk away and a great place to visit during sunset. Thank you for the lovely stay Jeanette! We’d love to visit again soon :)

We've just returned from a couple of nights at Owl's Retreat. we travelled as two adults, with a 7 year old and 6 month old. Communication before our arrival was fantastic and check in quick and easy. The property exceeded our expectations! I would go as far as to say the photos don't do it justice. It was peaceful, spotlessly clean and the little touches made us feel at home. Highly recommended

Lovely little place with great surroundings everywhere. Great hosts and really friendly. Our 2 x dogs were made to feel as welcome as us. If we were back in that area again then we would stay again. Highly recommended.

we absolutely loved our stay at the cabin. Andy and Sam made us feel so welcome. The cabin was perfect for our little family. Our 3 year old son especially enjoyed feeding the animal, the chickens in particular. The location was spot on and the perfect mix between country and seaside with the beach being 30 minutes away. would definitely recommend.

Bliss ✨ Little Bear is a magical place. Private and peaceful with picturesque views and sounds of bird song. The perfect place to relax and recharge. We felt very much at home here and hope to return one day.

We had a wonderful time staying at Ruby Rose. The surroundings are idyllic. Our 5 year old daughter loved checking on the chickens , collecting their eggs and ensuring they had their water topped up. The outdoor games provided were a great touch - we had quality family time. Denise was welcoming and helpful. Thank you for having us

My wife and I stayed at the lodge for our wedding anniversary and it was without a doubt a treat. The cabin and surroundings were just as described; all amenities provided, cabin itself was exceptionally clean, parking was easy with the allocated area, a very private area to ourselves as per the title of the listing, and convenient location to drive around Cornwall from. The owners (Tim & Carol), were very friendly and responsive to any queries we had prior to and through our stay. The extra plus points were the refreshments (tea, coffee, biscuits & soft drinks) provided to us in the lodge, and a beautifully maintained garden for us to enjoy a meal at while of course being treated to the view of horses in the neighbouring field. Thank you so much for having us Tim & Carol. Highly recommend a stay at Birdsong Lodge and we're sure to return on our next visit to Cornwall.

Perfect place for a couple. Centrally located for whole of South Hams area. Really quiet. The host was really welcoming. Accommodation was really well presented and spotlessly clean. Super bathroom and a really comfortable bed. We’d certainly stay there again!

We had a wonderful 3 weeks at the barn and were very sad to leave! As soon as we arrived, I felt myself relax. The gardens and farmland were beautiful and so peaceful, and the barn itself was thoughtfully considered, spotlessly clean, spacious and very well furnished. We had a lot of fun exploring around the farm with our 3 year old - playing down by the river and rowing the boat on one of the small lakes. It was amazing to have this on our doorstep! We visited a lot of places during our stay but my favourite was probably Boscastle - we enjoyed walking through the village through the valley to the cliffs and watching the blowhole in action. We loved the Boscastle Farm Shop & Cafe too - we sat outside enjoying the wonderful views while we ate delicious food and our little one had fun in the play area. Liz and Robert were the best hosts - we really enjoyed chatting with them and they were super responsive when we needed anything. I really hope we can return to stay again one day!

We loved are stay at no3, lovely quiet location and so peaceful, very friendly layback atmosphere in the village and being able to walk straight onto the moor, a real bonus, found parking spaces easily near the cottage. The, Taw River Inn, in Sticklepath and, The Tor, in the village were great for food. Ledford Gorge is definitely worth a visit, just magical.

Having grown up in the area, Kennel Farm is the place we choose to come back for our family holiday every year. We love the house and surroundings. Excellent location and Tanya is a perfect host. Highly recommend.

Had a wonderful stay and Deborah was very lovely and helpful. There was everything there we needed plus more with thoughtful touches like eggs from her hens, bacon,bread, fruit, milk. She helped with walks and local tips. A lovely stay and spotlessly clean.

We had lovely stay ! Beautiful, comfortable home in a picturesque setting. Very well equipped, had everything we needed. Venetia was very welcoming and helpful. Incredible value. Would visit again in an instant!

Will and Gill were amazing hosts. We had an issue where we lost our car key while on a beach walk and they could not have been more helpful. Regarding the shepherd's hut itself, it was everything we hoped for. More spacious than appears I'm the photos and was more than enough room for two adults , two kids and a dog. Nicely furnished and well kitted out, it had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Hot tub was a big hit with kids and adults alike. Very private and peaceful with large field for the dog to run around , it really had everything. Would recommend in a heartbeat.

Thank you for a lovely stay. Lovely accomodation in a beautiful, peaceful setting. We enjoyed walks around the farm and we were joined by one of the hosts dogs a couple of times which we loved. We even managed to see an otter down at the river on our first night! Bird and hedgehog watching from the hot tub with a glass of bubbly… bliss.

The perfect spot for a much-needed peaceful getaway. The accommodation was beautiful, with lovely extra touches like locally made soap, homemade jam and not only a coffee machine but also a milk frother! The bed was wonderfully comfortable and waking up to the sound of cuckoos was bliss. Michael was incredibly friendly, kind and helpful but also left us to our own devices so we felt very secluded and private. We loved walking, cycling and swimming in the river nearby as well as getting out to explore the local towns, having been recommended some great places to visit and restaurants to eat at. We would LOVE to come back! Pin & Ben :o)

Really loved our stay here, it was so peaceful and having a hot tub before and after a day out walking was perfect! The house was clean and uncluttered and had everything we needed for a relaxing and comfortable break away with the kids and dog! We will look forward to coming back and exploring more of this lovely area.

We loved our stay here - wish we had booked it for longer! The surroundings are beautiful and it's so peaceful. We sent a message regarding firelighters and within about 10 minutes we had been given some! The house is beautiful and having a bathroom for each bedroom is a luxury! Would definitely recommend and will definitely remember this place for the future!
