Holiday rentals with beach access in River Tamar

Alison's kind hospitality & welcoming was excellent & the accommodation was stunning & immaculate. If you like a quiet location it's ideal but travelling across Cornwall is no problem as main rd's are accessible from Helston. Alison gave us some good recommendations for restaurants which we tried & were delighted with.

We had a great stay, Colin and Lisa were lovely and even went above and beyond to provide us with a little extra treat for my fiances birthday. The apartment was clean, comfortable with really special view. Also, the local restaurants and bars are way closer than Google would have you believe, we particularly want give an extra special thanks for the ferry recommendation. We had a fantastic time and plan to return in the future. :)

Great facility met our expectations with nice little tit bits for us to indulge. Quiet neighborhood easy to find excellent car park adjacent to house. Would highly recommend.

Julie is a wonderful host and a very kind human being. Her apartment shows how considerate she is. We found everything needed in the flat. Flat is very clean, tidy, good linens, balcony view with sound of the waves is outstanding. Bed is good for sleeping. Comfy sofa and other electric machines are fine. We cooked meals happily. Bathroom is nice and clean. Close to town centre and other beaches. Rooftop is nice. We stayed here for seven days. She even arranged for late check-in to help us to relax before catching our flight home. This holiday experience is so great!! We hope to visit again In sha Allah. Thank you Julie. What a truly wonderful stay, and the photos REALLY do not do this beautiful place justice!! We had the most lovely welcome from Chris and Sally when we arrived, were given lots of tasty treats to keep us going until we were able to shop the next day, and loved every second of our stay with them. They really did think of everything we could possibly need, and nothing was too much trouble for them. The location is excellent as we were able to park right outside the property. There is also a bus stop directly outside so we jumped on the bus to Exeter, which only took half an hour. The drive to Starcross is only about 10 minutes and we parked up and got the lovely foot-passenger ferry over to Exmouth (definitely worth the trip and very cheap.) We will DEFINITELY be returning and are already missing the sound of the ocean.

Rockpool is a wonderful place to stay! Kay is a friendly, helpful and generous host. We appreciated the lovely treats left in the fridge for us. The location is peaceful and quiet and the accommodation is comfortable, very clean and well equipped.

My husband, 10-year-old daughter and myself have just returned from a truly amazing week, the property is beautiful, with facilities that far exceeded expectations. We had such a relaxing time; the beds are super comfy; led in bed looking out to sea with a coffee in the morning was a true highlight. The gardens are beautifully kept and being gated and private we had no worries with our daughter playing out. The walk down to Watcombe Beach, albeit steep on the way back up but 100% worth it; we took our paddleboard down and went swimming on a number of occasions, the water is very calm, on 2 occasions we were in the water and within 20ft off us were 2 seals! The hot tub was perfect, lovely fluffy robes provided to keep off the chill. We used the BBQ each evening and ate out on the patio. Susan is an incredible host, nothing is too much trouble, very informative and exceedingly helpful, she really did enhance our stay and made us feel as if we were staying in a home from home.

5☆ we had a great 4 day break, Julie & Chris are excellent hosts & the apartment exceeded all our expectations & is in fact much bigger than it appears in the pics. The apartment has everything you need, is super clean & the view is amazing. Everything in the apartment is top quality, from the bed linen & towels to the shower gels provided. Can't wait to come back. Thank you Julie & Chris for being so accommodating & welcoming.

Beautiful cottage right above the beach in Portwrinkle, with coastal path walks in either direction. Within easy reach of Plymouth via the Torpoint ferry. We had a lovely Easter break there.

Wow - what an amazing place to stay! This is probably the most memorable AirBnB I have stayed in so far. You are right on the edge of the seafront and by the harbour, with the double aspect living room enabling you to see both - the sea views are just stunning. Margaret was a really friendly and communicative host, and the parking space is good. I would heartily recommend this as a great place to stay; it is just so special being able to look out and see the sea from bed, and to hear the waves lapping at the shore as you go to sleep or make your cup of tea in the morning.

A beautiful retreat in a stunning location. The cottage was beautifully presented, clean and welcoming. Not only that but the hosts also are very generous and add additional touches - lovely Bread, butter, fudge, milk,wine- which is lovely to arrive to. The location is fantastic, just by the beach. A stunning location. We had such a wonderful stay and would recommend to anyone, we would definitely stay again.

We had the best weekend staying in Amanada’s house celebrating a birthday it was beautiful. The house is even more beautiful than in the photos & my 2 year old loved looking out to sea every morning seeing the birds. We will definitely be returning in the future. Thank you so much ☺️ one bonus for families thinking of booking that I did not see prior to our stay is the stairgate at the top of the stairs to the kitchen it was perfect with 2 young children we could shut this off.

A blissful retreat, with absolutely stunning views. The Bothy is cozy and well kitted out, and the hosts are incredibly thoughtful.

Tilly's is such a beautiful little place! Me and my boyfriend went for a little getaway for 4 nights and we were so impressed with Tilly's. Julie and Keith were great hosts and have done an amazing job with creating such a beautiful place. Julie was so attentive and helpful, easy check-in and out too. The private garden with a nice hot tub and fire place was lovely whilst watching the sunset. We will definitely be returning!

Perfect place for a couple. Centrally located for whole of South Hams area. Really quiet. The host was really welcoming. Accommodation was really well presented and spotlessly clean. Super bathroom and a really comfortable bed. We’d certainly stay there again!

What can we say, from booking our stay, to leaving after an amazing week, we truly felt at home. Kam and Bens home is beautiful throughout, there wasn’t one thing that we thought we needed or wanted that wasn’t provided for. Kam met us on arrival, earlier than we expected, and showed us around her wonderful home, all instructions in a helpful guide in the kitchen, even tide times, for trips. Great advice for our trip to Lundy, she even sent us up to date weather forecast . Kam provided us with mobile numbers if we were stuck for anything, and ensured it was ok for Ben to check the hot-tub, when we were out. Lovely touches, such as robes for getting out of the tub, were much appreciated. Superb hosts, will definitely visit again, our daughter and her partner joined us for a few days and loved every minute, lovely walk to the beach, only 10mins away, and the most amazing sunsets from the lounge and bedroom . Perfect relaxing week Thankyou x

The location is perfect. Train and busstation are in walking distance. The apartment and views are absolutely beautiful, you definitely pay for this though, personally I found it quite a bit pricey but it was worth it.

Just had 4 nights stay in this beautiful apartment with amazing views. It’s modern, clean, well equipped and very comfortable. We would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great stay in this area.

Chris communicated with me very well from the start, going above and beyond to make sure we knew everything we needed to know. The apt was perfectly located in Polperro. Being a little village with very narrow streets, your car won’t fit through some streets, so free private parking 10 mins walk away for the duration of our stay was most useful. The apt had everything we needed and all rooms were comfortable and warm. Plenty of reading material, lamps and instructions (better than not knowing how to work various devices). Definitely recommend The Lobster Pot for your Cornwall stay and Polperro is a perfect , traditional, fishing village.

Modern spacious flat in a great location. The facilities were excellent and we appreciated the private car park. We would definitely stay here again in the future!

We were blown away by the location and views from our accommodation as well as the very well appointed apartment.Our host could not have been more helpful,with some excellent recommendations for where to eat and for ideas on what was available to do and see in the area,we will certainly book again should we return to Polperro

A fabulous location overlooking the river/harbour. Gemma's is a really nice 2nd floor apartment on level ground at the start of the main street and only a 10 minute walk to the beach. If you're OK with the stairs I thoroughly recommend it.

We had a lovely stay at Beckys, the place is very cosy, has everything you could possibly need which is amazing especially when on a little stay and not able to bring everything yourself. The added extras of the milk and cookies was great and really appreciated. Also really comprehensive instructions for everything in the property and amazing guide to eating out etc, made picking somewhere much easier with our dog in tow. Would definitely stay again and would really recommend. Thanks!
