Kid-friendly holiday rentals in River Hamble

We only stayed at The Annex for two nights while attending a nearby friend's birthday party so we didn't explore local places/restaurants but it was ideal for our requirements. It is quite a concealed entrance to the property so we missed it first time round but, once inside, we were warmly greeted by Sara and very impressed with our lovely accommodation. We immediately felt at home and both had excellent nights' sleep in our separate double bedrooms with Duck Down Duvets and Pillows. Bliss!! We would definitely recommend The Annex at Capers Lane and hope to return again one day.

Blake was a great host, always responsive and communicated well throughout the booking process and stay. A lovely home and one we will return to if we are ever in the area again.

The lodge was very large & clean. Easily can sleep 8 guests. The large tv was amazing & one in the bed was luxury. the queen bed was very comfortable. The garden is huge & my family came over & we all enjoyed playing outdoor games & the Pool table was a bonus! Great places to walk your dog nearby. Very private & quiet. I wished I could have stayed longer than just a couple of nights. I would definitely like to return again.

We had a wonderful couple of nights stay at Justina’s place over May bank holiday weekend. It has all the amenities to make your comfortable. Location wise its perfect and close to Southampton city centre. Justina was also kind enough to extend our check out by couple of hours. We would like to come again to her place

We had a lovely stay at Ann’s property. We really enjoyed the estuary views and loved using the binoculars. We used an app on the phone to see where each ship was travelling to/from. The property is very well equipped. Be aware that the TV isn’t a Smart TV and the DVD player doesn’t work - I’m sure Ann will look into this. Ann was very kind to let us check in early.

Immaculate home and unusual charming location. The original brochure marketing the properties when they were converted from the previous historic buildings is in the home which is interesting to read.

Came here with friends over the bank holiday weekend and had a great time! Spacious and clean living area with two beds and two bathrooms, with lots of natural light and ample parking space (including an electric charging station). Really liked the modern furnishings and appliances (e.g. TV, sound system, induction stove) and the quiet, peaceful surroundings. Two things to point out - 1. Dishwasher wasn't working during our stay, which we only found out after cooking dinner. Thankfully Chelsea was responsive and provided some sponges the morning after even though it was a Sunday. 2. It would help to have some blinds / shades in the bedrooms, especially during summer when the sun rises early. Thank you Chelsea for the great stay and hope to visit again!

Fantastic stay for a long weekend with my wife! The location was perfect for exploring the town, and the exclusive development added a touch of luxury. The apartment was spotless and well-maintained, with a great view of the river from the balcony - The seating and table was very comfortable. The one-bedroom layout worked well for us, with spacious rooms and a hall. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed. A big plus was the convenient car parking, just a stone's throw from the lift. One tip for future guests: make sure to pick up the garage key fob from the apartment before unloading your car! Overall, we were very comfortable here and would definitely stay again. Highly recommended!

This place was great! Spacious, clean, and definitely on my list to return if I ever need a stay in this area. Close to the transit station. The host also had a handy dandy folder with rules, restaurant recommendations, how to work and troubleshoot appliances , and more. I loved that they took the time to create that! Definitely recommend!

Lovely apartment in secure block with plenty of space and filled with everything you need.

I messaged prior to booking with some questions and Clare and Alex responded extremely fast, they even enquired with a taxi company as to whether they would do the journey to and from a wedding for us! Communication after booking was fab with really clear instructions. Upon arriving the place was really well presented, had everything we need. As an extra special (and much appreciated!) touch there was milk, coffee, tea, sugar and some chocolates! The bed was super comfy and the place had alot of storage for our clothes. We would definitely stay again and would recommend it to everyone!

A perfect place for my wife and two boys. Central to various locations, peaceful surroundings and plenty of room . The place was great. Spotlessly clean, comfortable beds, lazy sofas and a great breakfast bar to enjoy a family breakfast. The washing facilities has also eased the workload when we get home too haha. A home from home and we'll definitely be back everytime we travel down.

The apartment is in a great location near to bars and restaurants, and a short walk to the main shopping centre and ferry terminal. We went to a show at the Mayflower theatre and visited the Isle of Wight during our 3 night stay. Christine was a responsive host and we would definitely stay again.

Great view over the river, apartment was very clean, modern and secure with keypad entry. Easy walk to restaurants and Spar supermarket nearby. Secure car park, parking space numbers are on the ground with slightly weird numbering system. Excellent entry instructions from the host, just read them properly. It does make the apartment very secure. Definitely a great choice to stay in Southampton.

Very sweet little cottage, beautifully decorated with everything you would need inside of it. Great location, with a nice pub down the road. We would definitely stay here again and recommend for all. The only downside is that it is situated on a busy road so at night you can sometimes hear the cars, but we didn’t mind.

We had an amazing experience staying at Steven’s Airbnb! Everything was exactly as described, if not better. The space was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had all the amenities we needed for our stay. The beds were so comfy, and we appreciated the thoughtful touches like fresh towels, coffee/tea, and milk in the fridge. Steven was incredibly friendly, responsive, and made check-in and check-out so easy for us! We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Thank you!

lovely, clean cosy studio that was surprisingly spacious. Lots of little extras that were really appreciated. Good base for exploring the island.

Lovely stay at Kathryn's flat. Myself and my two small boys spent 2 days here over half term and we had an amazing time. We found parking directly outside, we didn't need to move the car for our whole stay, everything was walking distance. Beach, restraunts, Pier, parks, cinema etc. The flat had all the amenities we needed and it was like a home away from home. I will be sure ti book again next year! Sash
