Family-friendly holiday rentals in Rendezvous

This was my first time staying at an AirBnB in Barbados after several visits to either family members or hotels while visiting the island. My entire family (wife, 2 kids and my mom) were all highly impressed as were friends and family who visited us. The pool was perfect, the beach was amazing and listening to the waves on the balcony became a way for all of us to find peace and quiet. The security was friendly and informative. Our host Jameela was an ANGEL! We have many travel struggles getting to the island and she was always responsive, supportive and helpful. The cleaning lady was so friendly and did an awesome job. We will definitely be coming back the next time we are back in Barbados!!!

We stayed at 204 Mistle Cove for one week. The location is right in the heart of Lawrence Gap with all restaurants and amenities within walking distance. The apartment itself is just as advertised, although the view is actually nicer than the pictures. The main room sleeps with a broadview of the ocean and the calming sounds of waves. The patio is spacious and perfect for breakfast , lunch and dinners in front of the ocean. My daughter loved the pool and the ocean front was a lot of fun with the high waves. A calmer and longer beach was only a two min walk from the apartment at Dover. Overall, we had everything we could have needed here, and would easily stay again if we go back to Barbados.

Jeff and Vicki's place was perfect! It is on the slower side of the island so it was great for relaxing and enjoying each other's company. They were extremely responsive and left some snacks and a few beers to get our vacation started. Amazing views of the ocean! Looking forward to staying again when we return.

Great Apartment in the beautiful Sugar Hill Resort. Aparment was exactly as per the photos. Fully Equiped with extra towels, beach towels, kitchen equipment, dishwasher/washing machine/dryer etc We love the location, albeit we always hire a car and i feel you need one staying here if you want to visit the beach and restaurants on a daily basis Would 100% recommend this Apartment. Special thanks to the Property Manager Kavell who was always messaging to make sure everything was ok or if we needed anything. Brillinant Stay on what is an amazing island

We really enjoyed our stay at The Palisades-6A. The house was spacious and clean, and we didn't lack for anything. We appreciated having beach towels, that the property was gated, and that we were able to use the bbq! The location is a short drive from Oistins and the St. Lawrence Gap, and a short walk from Enterprise Beach, which we enjoyed. We would definitely stay here again when we come back to Barbados!

Wayne and his team were very helpful. The house was prestige and in a great location. When I return to Barbados, I will 100% be booking with them

My recent stay at Coral Cove #4 in Barbados was nothing short of exceptional. Enjoyable stay. Met fantastic people sharing the same block. Nice to hang around the pool and chill. Beach is 2 mins walk so easy to get to and the sea is a stunning turquoise blue.

Lex’s place had it all. There is a beautiful beach right outside the back door, it’s walkable to a grocery store, several cafes and bars and the Friday fish fry. We also could grab busses right outside the house to get to Bridgetown for more beaches and restaurants. Walking around felt safe (well lit) but of course be aware of your surroundings and the cars wiz by so be aware of where the sidewalks are. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of space. We loved how there were lots of towels and pillows! The only thing to prepare for is that the second bedroom gets traffic noise so maybe bring earplugs if you’re sleeping in that room.

We had a great time at Jacqueline's place. The place is comfortable and peaceful at a great location near the sea. There garden is nice with shade from the trees and we enjoyed the ocean view from the sofa. Very friendly and helpful host. It is recommended to have a rental car to move around, because the place is not close to the popular beaches, supermarkets and markets. Overall it is a great place to stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Paolo was extremely helpful and friendly with great recommendations. The house is on a cute gated street across the street from a great surfing spot. Walking distance to Miami Beach which is a pleasant beach with a ton of shade trees. Oistins local fishing village is close enough to walk. For more lively area a quick jaunt to Rockley beach by car. For us a quiet walk to the surf and beach was ideal. Paolo must be one of the friendliest hosts we’ve had! The house was spacious and serene. Kitchen had all the necessary items. Can’t wait to return!

We had a wonderful months stay in Elizabeth's cottage. We felt at home as soon as we stepped inside. The kitchen was very well equipped. Super comfy beds and lovely bed linen and plenty of towels. It was extremely clean and we loved the outside space. The locals were so friendly and we always felt safe. Elizabeth's Dad, Tommy was near if needed and Heather did a wonderful job cleaning each week. Had some great chats ! Missing the sunshine and having breakfast on the veranda. You can see the sea from the cottage and be swimming in 5 minutes! There is a great fish market at the end of the road where the fish is so fresh. We visited last year and stayed in a hotel but staying in a cottage for us was so much more enjoyable. We did hire a car as we wanted to explore the island but it's not a necessity. Thank you, Elizabeth, would love to return in the future.

Quiet, beautiful spot on the south end of the island. Great, private view of the beach and mangroves from sprawling gardens. Occasional monkey visitors. Practical kitchen with needed equipment. Good ac in bedrooms. Giant sliding door for the main room. Strong WiFi in office and most of house and immediate deck (occasionally unstable but think that’s island issue). 15 min to grocery store. Most higher end restaurants and resort beaches on northwest coast 30 min+. Short walk down to beach - rough not swimmable but beautiful. Host was the most helpful we’ve ever had with Airbnb. Helped with all kinds of activity / reservations (for a nominal fee).

My daughter & I greatly enjoyed our stay at Peter’s airbnd. We loved the flowers, monkeys, and the peaceful atmosphere. Peter is a wonderful host. He had a driver pick us up from the airport. We gave him a grocery list and he bought our initial items which made it much easier for us (of course we reimbursed him). Then he made our first dinner for us and answered all our questions. We loved the movie nights- we watched movies sitting in an old pickup with movie projected on wall. He even made us popcorn. The best part was the pool onsite available for the other guests in the compound.

We had a fabulous 2 week stay at La Canoa. With 6 of us there was plenty of space and we loved hanging out in the garden and on the veranda. We especially enjoyed the wildlife in the garden and the direct beach access. The kitchen was great, fully equipped and clean. Chris was a great host and swiftly responded to any questions we had. Having never visited Barbados before we could not have asked for more. La Cabane, the closest restaurant to La Canoa, serves the best food in a perfect location. (walking distance) We loved being by the harbour and rum distillery, there was something quite unique about this location. I would recommend hiring a car if you are staying here although we used the buses, we also explored further afield to the East and South coast Thank you Chris for providing such a wonderful place to stay in Barbados.

Hanifa was great with communication and the property was well stocked with toilet rolls, waste bags, hairdryer, iron, and cleaning products.. Had fresh bedding provided after a week. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again. Felt very safe there as a female staying on my own

I had a wonderful stay at Yvette’s Airbnb. The decor was warm, inviting, and truly made me feel at home. Everything was spotlessly clean, and all the amenities were in perfect working order, which made for a very comfortable and stress-free experience. The view overlooking the valley was absolutely breathtaking — peaceful and calming during the day and spectacularly beautiful at night. Yvette herself was a fantastic hostess: kind, attentive, and always willing to help whenever I had a question. I’m already looking forward to my next trip to Barbados and I hope that Yvette will have space available — I wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else!

Had a wonderful time at White Sands Resort. Place was exactly as described, clean, and all amenities as described. Rented a car for the week….free parking included made the decision to rent an easy one. Beach chairs always available, and although the beachfront is small(ish), we never felt crowded. Lots of restaurants and shops, all within walking distance. We highly recommend WSR as a vacation rental. Cyrus and Liam were most helpful and courteous!

Lavern was an excellent host. She was so welcoming and friendly! The apt was just as described, I had everything I needed in kitchen, the shower was huge and the A/C in bedroom excellent. Comfy bed lots of closet space and my fav the screened in porch. I had all my meals there. As a solo female traveler I felt completely safe. Walkable to shops, groceries, beach, pool with loungers and restaurants. I would not hesitate to recommend this apartment to anyone and will happily stay again. Thank you Lavern! for a wonderful 10 days.

Very peaceful location and beautiful view . The bathroom garden was definitely unique . Had an amazing time!

Rodney was the best host I’ve ever encountered on Airbnb. Started with an amazing welcome and got better by the day. He was always on hand to give us tips and advice. And helped us navigate the hotspots in more than one occasion. Ie getting to Oisten market early and where to eat when we got there to avoid LONG waits! Will be excited to book another stay in this amazing apartment.

Kevin was warm, welcoming and kind. He met us as we arrived from the airport and was very generous with some little ‘welcome’ items for us to enjoy as well as some local recommendations. The apartment is beautiful with a great size balcony directly overlooking the ocean with access to a lovely pool & steps down to the beach. The rooms were clean and we had plenty of spare towels and linen for the beds which was great. Cleaning products supplied but we replaced what we used to ensure the next guests had some :) Overall, we had an amazing holiday and Kevin checked in on us to ensure all was OK - a nice touch! He’s also very responsive which is always reassuring! For anyone visiting - Would really recommend the street food market behind the gas station opposite the apartment - some great food in there. If you’re into breakfast, try out ‘park cafe’ in its own little haven behind massy store - GREAT food. To summarise - THANK YOU, Kevin - we will 100% be back!!

This unit was exactly what we needed. We enjoy our privacy and freedom to go on our schedule. You really need a car but it is worth it to be away from the busy strip and in lovely grounds. Dawn was so helpful in connecting us with activities and recommending service providers. Everyone she recommended was fantastic. From car rentals to restaurants to activities, they were all focused on helping us have a great experience. Barbados did not disappoint and this space was a great home base. We also appreciated how spacious the unit was with high ceilings and open concept. Our teenage daughter had the huge second bedroom which provided her own space to relax. The pool is well maintained and we enjoyed swimming in the late afternoons. There was hardly anyone ever in it besides us. Recommend for families.

Had a wonderful stay at Sapphire! Ray was on top of all the details and was proactive about sharing. Dover beach is beautiful and this location is directly on the beach. There are lots of restaurants nearby and cabs always located outside if you need to go anywhere (make sure to vet your cab and get a price up front!!!) We rented a car for a couple of days to explore other areas of the island, as this was a much more economical option than getting a cab. Location is very secure with 24 hour security. I was traveling with my (young) adult children. Thank you Ray!!
