Guest house holiday rentals in Porto District

We had a great stay in the "Casa da Mata". Lost in the heart of the winery and on the edge of the forest, this house full of old-fashioned charm, well renovated and comfortable, is perfect. Every room has a beautiful view! But the best view is from the terrace where we had all our meals. We also loved our interaction with Fernanda, the best host you could hope for. And his kitchen is a delight! Fernanda feasted us with good garden products, fig tomatoes & eggs.. And very good bread, brought every morning!!! We can only thank her again for her kindness. We will keep in mind this beautiful week perched on the heights of the Douro for a long time. I forgot: the pool and common areas also added a nice plus value to this week.

The hostel has an excellent location, close to the main tourist attractions and with easy access to public transport. The region is also full of bars, restaurants and markets, which makes everything more practical. Even though it's in a busy area, the environment is super quiet and peaceful — ideal for resting after a day exploring the city. I would definitely stay here again!

Great accommodation for a stay with friends, nice rooms and above all a nice little terrace! 15 min walk from the center, frankly nothing to say, it was great! Thank you for hosting us!

We had the best time during our stay. The house is a dream with an amazing pool and well equipped with everything you need. Alcina is very kind and super helpful regarding all questions. Would definitely recommend!

Very good welcome by Antonio as well as by his mother, very attentive, ready to do a service and speaking, among other things, very good French. Very nice welcome breakfast and coffee, good location compared to the different places to visit. Product as advertised with good value for the money.

It was two very pleasant August weeks, total disconnection from the city. The house was small but comfortable and cozy. The pool gave it a plus, to be able to cool off in the terrible heat of summer, and being surrounded by nature is ideal for recharging batteries. Thanks to Peter for all the attention provided. He is a very good host.

We always read the reviews so you know what to expect. Fred exceeded expectations and is a fantastic host. He does more than we think a host should do and is also a very pleasant company. Paula and her team were very responsive and helpful during my stay. This unit is attached to another, so just be aware you might hear your neighbors. The interiors are very unique and the garden with the view of the church and a small view of the water is really wonderful! In only a few minutes you can walk to a beautiful park and then right to the water. There is a supermarket, coffee shops, and restaurants all within a 10-15 minutes walk. Overall, I would highly recommend if you're looking for somewhere to relax and enjoy Porto without the chaos of the city center.

Where do you start? First of all, we received a great welcome from the owners. They are charming, present but not intrusive at all. They are very attentive, worried if everything is going well. Then, the property is excellent. Splendid views of the vineyard. It's super quiet. The pool is lovely with beautiful views too. Amazing breakfasts. The accommodation is as described, clean, not overlooked and also has views of the vineyard and river. In short, everything comes together for a great stay. Miguel welcomed us very warmly and showed us the entire place again and said we can always ask him if we need anything. We felt at home from the beginning. The property is beautiful. In addition to the fantastic pool, there are orange and lemons, which we would have freely available during our stay. Miguel was always on hand right away if we needed anything. He went out of his way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We liked it there very much. The old cabin has a rustic charm to it ☺️ Thank you for everything, Miguel!

Very nice, quiet and pretty place. A nice pool in a beautifully decorated garden. small problem: no microwave, no salad spinner, lack of salad bowls (1 is not enough) no pots and few cutlery, no trash cans. no soap, strange shampoo for this level of service.

Great value! My family and I stayed here for five nights. While it wasn't ideal for our family with a toddler due to the many stairs, we still had a fantastic time. The place is incredibly quiet—perfect for a relaxing break! The pool area is a huge plus, with all sorts of toys that kept our kids entertained. They were never bored! We stayed in Casa Alambique, which has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The upstairs bedrooms were spacious with very comfortable beds. However, the downstairs bedroom has an old, small bed, so I'd recommend it only for kids or teens. The team was amazing! They offered lots of recommendations and the place was spotless. We had a small issue, and they took care of it immediately. Better than 5-star hotel service. Highly recommend!

You do share a bathroom, which I missed when I read about the place. But it was clean and quiet and we had a very nice night’s sleep. Antoni was very quick to answer our text questions. All went very well.

The place was very very cute and functionally decorated. Everything worked flawlessly and clean. The contact was very kind. Particularly noteworthy was the comfortable bed. We have never slept as well on a vacation as in this one! :-)

WOW. What a fabulous weekend with my friend and her mum just the 3 ladies spent a wonderful weekend in this beautiful relaxing house. The most calming garden uber no more than €5 to Porto town pre booked Uber to airport early hours only €15 Can hear roads slightly but didn’t bother us at all Lovely pool area and seating area highly recommend and would love to return. My parents also looking at this for themselves

Our Airbnb stay was fantastic! The hosts were incredibly hospitable, the dogs were friendly, and all our requests were met. The view was breathtaking, and the fresh chill air was rejuvenating. Highly recommended

We had a great time , Maria is a very nice host! The accommodation is perfectly located at villa do conde limit povoa de varzim (within walking distance ) well decorated room. Of course it is several rooms so we extend the neighbors a little but it is not disturbing. The only thing that bothered us a little was the dog from the neighboring house who barked some nights but frankly we'll go back with pleasure

As a seasoned traveller, I totally recommend Cachinnans Hostel as your place or residence if you'd like to avoid Porto or Matosinhos.
