Farmstay holiday rentals in Porto District

Stayed here for a week with my family, including my brother and his children and my mother and father, and we absolutely loved it! The space was perfect for us to hang out as a family, enjoy the sunshine and play in the pool. We were able to use a high cars to get easily down to the coast and to local supermarkets to pick up provisions but most of the days we just spent relaxing in the house which has lots of space and lots of amenities. There was lots of space for the children to play both inside and outside, lots of places to sit and eat and the pool was excellent. The animals at the bottom of the garden were very entertaining for the children and they managed to name all of them!! I would highly recommend this space. I would happily come again. We also really enjoyed having Duarte come over and cook us a typical regional meal. Thank you for everything Jorgina. Danny, Becci and Eden

We had a great stay in the "Casa da Mata". Lost in the heart of the winery and on the edge of the forest, this house full of old-fashioned charm, well renovated and comfortable, is perfect. Every room has a beautiful view! But the best view is from the terrace where we had all our meals. We also loved our interaction with Fernanda, the best host you could hope for. And his kitchen is a delight! Fernanda feasted us with good garden products, fig tomatoes & eggs.. And very good bread, brought every morning!!! We can only thank her again for her kindness. We will keep in mind this beautiful week perched on the heights of the Douro for a long time. I forgot: the pool and common areas also added a nice plus value to this week.

Ines and her mother looked after us incredibly well during our stay. We were welcomed to the property by the friendly face of Ines' mother and she showed us around all of the property and grounds. Once we had the tour and knew where everything was, the hosts vacated the property and left us in privacy. The property is stunning and the pictures truly do not do it justice. The pool was a sun trap, the grounds we beautiful, we even forgot to buy lemons for cocktails but the property even has a lemon and orange tree to solve our problem. There is nothing that this property doesn't have. If it's not there, you don't need it. Thank you so much to everyone at Quinta de Gatao for looking after us. We will be back for sure.

We loved staying at Americo’s house. It was in a stunning location with beautiful views as far as the eye can see of the Douro valley. The house sits in well loved landscaped gardens, with a lovely pool and outside sitting/eating area. There is a bonus area with fruit trees. The house is well furnished, cosy and comfortable. It was plenty of room for two small families. Our hosts were so kind and communicated well throughout the process. We did have problems locating the house, even following the instructions (Apple Maps sent us to the wrong location). But the hosts were patient. It’s a bit of a drive to go to larger sight seeing attractions and very windy for non-confident drivers. But for us it was perfect - we had all we needed in a 20 minute radius and drove to Porto for one day (it’s a 50 minute drive). The house and location is stunning and the hosts welcoming - I would definitely return and recommend to others!

Very good welcome by Antonio as well as by his mother, very attentive, ready to do a service and speaking, among other things, very good French. Very nice welcome breakfast and coffee, good location compared to the different places to visit. Product as advertised with good value for the money.

Manuel and his wife Lidia were a great hosts. The communication was very quick and they were always ready to help us or give us anything we needed during the stay. The house was very clean, fully equipped and is located in a very calm area surrounded by yards and trees. Very peaceful with a private pool and bbq possibility. It is a bit far from center, so I highly recommend hiring a car (it is not expensive), since there is a private parking as well. The house is an ideal for a family of 4-5 or a group of friends. Thank you Manuel and Lidia, we will definitely come back!

Osvaldo, Madalena and Carla, 3 super friendly and helpful hosts who provided an amazing stay, always worried about collaborating so that nothing was missing. The space is very pleasant, consisting of rustic houses on a farm in the middle of nature in an environment of tranquility perfect for those who like to relax away from the confusion of big cities. a great breakfast, a wonderful pool with great views, a waterfront river, river paths along the river, good wines, etc... All perfect! A huge thank you Osvaldo, Madalena and Carla. Well done.

Exceptional house with all the necessary equipment. Very clean, very good bedding and excellent pillows. It's a pleasure to eat on the "bridge" between the 2 parts of the house and to see the sunset during dinner. All amenities are functional and there are a large number of cutlery, plates etc. we lack nothing. The environment is just magical. An incredible view, a garden of several hectares with plenty of fruit trees and a beautiful vegetable garden. We ate cucumbers, zucchini, lemons, grapefruits and oranges throughout the stay. The pool is very good and refreshing. Once in the property we felt like we were alone in the world. Very quiet and very relaxing. We are minutes from shops (continent, Intermarché and pingo doce). Carlos is a very welcoming and kind host. He granted us all our requests. A big thank you to him. We'll be back for sure.

We love it! Very good to relax in the jacuzzi, like for a walk. We were greeted by D. Luísa, who was always concerned about the stay. In the future we will come back! Recommend!

Most amazing place I've ever been to

Had a wonderful stay! Very suitable location for large group of friends. Tiago is a good host who was very very helpful in finding restaurants and activities. Absolutely recommended.

Great stay with our two dogs! The scenery is beautiful. The house full of stories. The pool is a real plus. The neighborhood is very friendly. There are two many walks to do in the area and many with swimming nooks. We recommend 100%!

This home is absolutely beautiful, we felt comfortable from the moment we arrived. Everything we could possibly need was there, from a fully equipped kitchen to thoughtful touches throughout the house and garden. It was spotless, and we especially appreciated the fresh citrus and eggs from the birds next to the property waiting for us. Carolina and her husband are exceptional hosts, warm, generous, and incredibly helpful. All their recommendations were perfect. Do note that a car is essential, and confident driving is a must in the area. The game room with the pool table was a great bonus, especially on rainy days. The nature, the views, and the garden were all stunning. Our only regret was not staying longer.

We arrived the day the country ran out of electricity. No communication possible with the host, no water, no electricity of course. No one came to see us if we needed anything. We would have appreciated it if Dappa had sent someone to us... We were left to ourselves, fortunately we had a little water in our cooler and a flashlight. Otherwise nothing to say about the accommodation, everything was perfect.

It was the second time we chose this place and it was excellent! We felt right at home! Enjoy so much nature and animals, calm and comfort! It is undoubtedly a very good place to rest and for good times alone or with family! We'll definitely be back! And Susana is very friendly and helpful! We really liked it!

we were very nice the whole family a functional cute house the house owners live on and if you need them don't hesitate to help.te had the detail of leaving in the fridge a bottle of water and wine. if we ever come back in the area from catalunya we will definitely go,a pleasure to enjoy their place both good you could have a house like this,thanks

We absolutely loved staying here. Ricardo was super friendly and helpful. Quinta Freiera is a stunning farm with loads of grape vines, lemon trees, orange trees, passion fruit, etc. It was so special to stay in a house that has been in his family for over 200 years. I highly recommend this quinta!

Spectacular farmhouse. All the spaces were comfortable, from the bedrooms to the living room and kitchen, as well as the leisure space outside the home. Super tidy, with incredible views to the banks of the Douro River. Good living areas to enjoy with family or friends. We're always helpful and communicating about any questions about nearby restaurants. Quinta de Conquito with bread and fresh cakes first thing in the morning, as the pastry goes to the farm to deliver.

Calm and relaxing Sitio. We had a very good weekend at the Alambique house with access to the pool. We went on a horseback ride that we really enjoyed. We also use the paddle tennis court. Easy communication with host Georgina, always very accessible. Thank you!

Beautifully furnished, clean house equipped with everything you need. The location is extremely quiet, so you have the feeling of being the only house in the area. The complex is very well maintained and the pool is large enough for swimming. Communication with Carla is uncomplicated and friendly, we always had the feeling that we could turn to her in case of problems. We enjoyed every second and there is nothing to complain about. If we choose Portugal again, the accommodation and Carla will be our first choice.

We spent a lovely nine days at Antonio’s place.

Beautiful tranquil little converted farmhouse. All the amenities you need, lovely pool and very friendly dog. It is walkable to supermarket and local bars or a cab to Guimarães is very cheap. Our host was very friendly and helpful throughout.

You can't find a better house than this in Porto. Everything has been taken care of to the last detail. And that was also made with a very extensive breakfast by Maria. The swimming pool is beautiful and is located in a large garden. Everything is lovingly cared for and laid out. Highly recommended this house.
