Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Portarlington

This was our 3rd (or 4th!) stay at the Cottesloe Beach Shack. Gorgeous stay as always, Rebecca super helpful and we just love this place. Super dog friendly with lots of space for everyone. The recent renovations and updates are gorgeous, including the new outdoor space - we can't wait to get back to use it in some warmer weather! Look forward to getting back again soon.

Thank you to our host Matt. We had a wonderful 3 nights/4 days. As described and pictured on Airbnb, the accommodation was clean, comfortable and well furnished. The position of the home was a short stroll to the main shopping strip and a great cafe for our morning coffees. We self catered and found the well appointed kitchen appliances to be modern and easy to use including an extra large fridge/freezer, coffee pod machine, easy to use oven and cook top. Bathrooms facilities were above average. Linen was soft and very high quality. There were so many extras supplied by the owner (while we didn’t use them, they would certainly be a bonus for anyone thinking of staying here e.g. baby cot and high chair, beach equipment, games, books etc). The TV and WiFi were excellent. The ability to bring our puppy knowing the backyard was spacious and fully fenced was an added bonus. A wonderful few days away to relax and enjoy a lovely little township.

If a stay in Chelsea is what you need then this is a good option. Comfortable, spacoius, gererously provisioned. It had a particularly pleasant rear deck for the warmer times. We jad everything we needed and would stay again.

Beautiful house to stay at! We all had the best time and felt right at home as soon as we arrived. Heaps of room for the kids to run around and burn their energy. Great place to stay for a family holiday we had 11 of us in the house and we al had our own space and heaps of room to have dinner and watch movies all together.

Great self-contained space in a natural setting - super quiet for well-needed sleep ins - close to Sorrento shopping plus the ever popular Millionaires cliff walk and Portsea pub for great dinner choices! The Peninsula Spa was only 15-20 mins away (best day out ever!) and loved my breakfast at cliff top cafe on Sorrento back beach - David was a warm and responsive host - all in all a great value stay in a very special part of Victoria :)

Great for kids, lots of kids toys, huge house, it just seemed to go on and on 😊 lots of bathrooms. Lots of toilets, separate living areas. The view is fantastic marsh, birds, lovely and warm. Well stocked and fitted out. Close to town.

We spent a long weekend at Jennie’s house and would highly recommend. It rained the entire weekend so we weren’t able to make use of the top north facing deck or the lower pool deck but we lit the fire, settled in and had such a relaxing time. There is a really good coffee machine which meant we didn’t even have to venture out for coffee! We loved it on a wet winter weekend so I can only imagine how great it would be on a warm sunny weekend.

Awesome place for my family to stay. Booked for my wife’s 60th birthday, to have the two of us, our 3 kids, their partners, 4 grandkids and one dog in one amazing property was absolutely wonderful. The property was immaculate and the description was absolutely accurate. Local shops a short 10 minute drive away to Rye. Would gladly book again. Steve & Amelia…

We had an absolutely amazing stay at Ems. Fab home, and we had a card waiting for us with lots of other lovely treats! Brekky, bread, wine. The best bit is the outdoor bath and the view from the little terrace. Em was lovely and very responsive. Thanks for making our anniversary special!

Kate and Evan have a BEAUTIFUL property. They were extremely helpful and friendly upon checking in. The cottage we stayed in was beautiful, peaceful and felt very warm and homey. We enjoyed walking around the property and seeing the animals and gardens. Most importantly the stay was dog friendly for our two golden retrievers. Their friendly Labrador Cesar was a great host and greeted us, showed us around the property and kept the Goldie’s good company. Highly recommend a stay at SoHo Estate!

Wonderful stay. Everything was as described and as pictured. Perfect for large family groups, plenty of space to come together and separate for quiet time. We had 3 young children and they made good use out of the upstairs living space (“playroom”) and trampoline. The pool once we got it sorted was the perfect temperature. Rooms were very clean and very spacious. Great kitchen and welll stocked with cleaning products as was the laundry. Check in/out was easy and Anna was friendly and a very responsive host.

We had the most wonderful stay at this beautiful home. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by how impeccably clean and well-presented everything was. Every detail has been carefully thought through, from the amenities to the lovely little touches around the home that made our stay extra special. It was the perfect winter escape for our family, cosying up by the fireplace was a highlight. The communication with Sarah was seamless, friendly and responsive. We’re already dreaming about another visit in summer so we can make the most of the pool and outdoor areas. Couldn’t recommend this place more highly, an absolute gem!

If you’re looking for a house to relax and unwind, this could be the one for you! The house was warm and homily, and delivered some amazing sunrises / sunset views, all whilst relaxing in the spacious upstairs lounge. The house was clean throughout, and large enough to accommodate our group of friends. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend. Peggy is a great host, super responsive and even provided some complimentary wine to welcome us. Cheers to that!

Naomi’s beach shack has become an annual trip for me, my husband and our little pooch and it never disappoints. The views are incredible capturing sunrise to sunset. The place is comfortable and clean and always feels like home. Can’t wait to be back there soon!

Lovely house close to everything in Portarlington. Clean with everything you need for a few nights away. Nicole was very easy to deal with and was fine with us arriving early and leaving a bit later. Thanks for letting us stay Nicole. Great place in a great location.

Our 4 night stay was fabulous. The cottage had charm and was very well appointed. We loved that the beach and walking track was at the end of the street and town was easily walkable. A host of wineries, a whiskey distillery and a cidery were a short drive away. Our stay coincided with Anzac Day and it was an honour to attend the Portarlington RSL service. Best of all was that Neville, our special poodle, could enjoy the break with us.

Really enjoyed my stay here, close to Lake Connewarre, Barwon Heads and the Walk for Truth sections between Morreware and Geelong. Tony kindly lit the woodfire for me so the place was toasty when I arrived, and he was very responsive about firewood and when the gas ran out it was quickly dealt with. I got to see the sunrise each morning without having to get out of bed! Everything I needed in the kitchen so I could prepare my own meals. A peaceful and relaxing stay, thank you!

Iwona’s cute cottage is very comfortable, thoughtfully provisioned and spotlessly clean. Cute local cafe a couple of minutes away for excellent breakfast. A great base for exploring the area.

Absolutely beautiful home, incredibly styled and cozy. We booked this place to celebrate our anniversary which turned into a surprise proposal! This place felt like our own little heaven, so peaceful like there was nothing beyond the walls that surrounded us. Stunning kitchen with everything you could ever need and more. Our pooch felt right at home and isn’t happy that we have to go home. Neysa and Annai’s home will always have a special place in our hearts and we hope to come back again soon.

I had a lovely stay at Natalia's place. It is a beautiful cosy little place close to all amenities and the beach. It had everything I needed for my stay! Would definitely recommend and return!

We stayed for a night at Leigh and Rob’s beautiful accommodation while travelling down from Sydney, before catching the Searoad Ferry the following afternoon. Leigh and Rob were incredibly warm, welcoming and responsive, providing clear instructions and helpful local tips. We were especially grateful for the offer of an early check-in and late check-out as well! The house was spotlessly clean, beautifully maintained, and exactly as described. Highly, highly recommended to anyone looking for the perfect spot to stay when visiting the area. We would definitely love to stay here again.
