Great place

The lodge is lovely with an amazing view over the lake, we sat in the hot tub watching the birds on the lake it was so peaceful. Great place to celebrate my husbands 50th birthday with our family and dog. Immaculate home with a real homely feel. Great kitchen to cook in too.

Excellent 2 night stay for my partner's 40th birthday. A no fuss easy check in with the details that had been provided by Katie and Ben. The lodge was clean, comfortable and the hot tub was very relaxing. Would say that the hot tub we had at Pollen would have been better with steps like the one at nectar but still wasn't a big issue. Percy the peacock was very loud at times but also very friendly. He would come to see us now and again and he was happy to take a few nachos off us. All in all a great 2 night break, very relaxing and well worth what we paid. Would recommend and stay here again. Also Katie was very easy to contact and quick to reply she even helped put me onto someone who could sort some birthday balloons and banners. Big thanks to Ben and Katie. Great stay at the Lookout Lodge! Jo was always on hand to provide help and the facilities have everything you need. Brilliant views and a relaxing time had! Will definitely be returning and recommending to family and friends!

We had a wonderful stay! The home was really beautifully decorated with great attention to detail—it felt cozy and inviting from the moment we arrived. The hot tub was a lovely touch and made the experience even more relaxing. The host was very responsive and made sure everything we needed was available. Overall, it was so comfortable and felt like a home away from home. Highly recommend!

Louise’s lodge is absolutely beautiful and in a very peaceful location. The rooms were absolutely spotless and had everything we needed. The hot tub is a lovely addition and the fact that it is in the back garden for privacy made it even better. The location of the accommodation is fantastic, around a 30 minute drive to York city centre and also has great bus links to both York and the nearby town of Pocklington. Thank you Louise, we will definitely come back to your lovely lodge!

Kit introduced herself upon arrival, a friendly lady. She lives close to the Lodge which is helpful for any issues, though we did not have any. 15 mins steady walk to the beach, you can drive also if you like and park a few steps from the beach. 15 minutes drive in either direction takes you to a new place to explore. A great spot for bird watchers too right from the lodge too. Thanks Kit.

Had such a lovely stay here! The place was super clean, cosy and had everything we needed. Carole and Graham were absolutely lovely – so warm and welcoming, made us feel right at home. Great location too, nice and quiet but still easy to get around. Would definitely stay again. Thanks so much!

We will definitely be returning. It was the best lodge we've stayed in, in particular the garden space that was private and spacious. It was totally secure which was perfect for our dog. The Lodge was really spacious and had everything you need for a trip away. The kitchen had everything you need including a full size fridge freezer. The only negative will be the pillows, i must of got about 2 hours sleep during the night because of them. I really think investing in some proper quality pillows will go a long way, especially when they would easily last half a year minimum before needing to be replaced. But this is honestly the only negative thing about the place.

Great location and accommodation

We had a fabulous short break in this beautiful property. We wanted for nothing and the location was perfect. Thank you for sharing this little gem. Just one thing of note is that despite being a dog friendly property, everything was immaculate.

We absolutley loved it! the caravan felt so peaceful and quiet and it also had everything needed to feel right at home straight away :) our dog also enjoyed the beach walks every day a short distance away. We are already planning our next trip to hopefully be able to come back in the future. Thank you for being so friendly and helpful.

Exactly as advertised in a peaceful field, the Deer Hut is immaculate and beautifully equipped. We were super comfortable with everything we needed and lots of thoughtful touches that we hadn't even considered. We enjoyed cooking, inside and out, and thoroughly recommend a stay. We will be back!

We chose to celebrate our first wedding anniversary here this weekend and we're so glad we did! :) The space is so wonderful and peaceful, and perfect for disconnecting from the hustle and bustle of daily life. We loved using the printed walking route, enjoying the cozy fire, fun games, all the natural light, and especially the very friendly visits from Hamish the cat! Thank you for having us stay x

Lovely lodge, chickens eggs were lush. Squirrels were friendly. Pub was just a 5 minute walk. Best sleep we have had in ages. Good for york, scarborough, whitby and other attractions. Would definately go again.

We loved our stay at Salty Dog with my elderly mother and our two dogs - really their holiday and not ours! Great location for the fabulous beach accessed from The Point, which is dog friendly all year round. The Beach house was great, very cute with lots of lovely touches from the Salty Dog water bowl for the dogs to the Salty Dog crisps which my husband loved. Paula was great at communicating and very accommodating. Thank you for a lovely weekend break x

We had a lovely two night stay at the Seasalt Cabin! We were actually up in the area visiting family and the cabin was the perfect place nearby. The pub is in walking distance and had a very friendly atmosphere - with a good pint of Guinness! We walked down to the beach which was a beautiful stretch of sand (despite the rain when we visited!) The cabin itself, had everything we needed and we particularly enjoyed the outside space! It’s has been done to a high standard and the bed was very comfy :) Thank you for the welcome basket with lots of thoughtful bits - it was a nice touch! We hope to return in the future when in the area again!

we had a wonderful weekend staying in your accommodation. we travelled to York a fair few times and this was a 20 minute drive. the lodge was beautiful, really cosy and we felt right at home. the lockbox was hard to find in the dark as we arrived in the evening however soon noticed it once we got back in the car. really beautiful lodge and great communication from the owner. thanks again.

This was our 2nd stay in Swift lodge and it was absolutely fantastic. We are already planning our next trip there. Amazing fishing - Carp, Rudd, Ide, Bream, Tench. We lost count! The surroundings and wildlife is stunning. Deer, Hares, Hedgehogs, Owls, Birds, Swans to name a few. Francesca is a brilliant host and really accommodating. The lodge is home from home with everything you could possibly need.
