House holiday rentals in Payne Springs

Fast communication. Owners very helpful to make our stay perfect. The two king bedrooms had tvs in them and en suite bathrooms. There was one queen bedroom with a tv and another queen bedroom no tv. There was a bunk bed room with no tv. All bedrooms were super comfortable with soft plush mattresses. If you have a senior, make sure to have a way to help them in and out of the bed. Hard to get out of for elderly since they are so soft, so we put a heavy chair by the bedside. We fished off the dock provided and it had a wonderful picnic table on it. We caught catfish and drum and perch with hot dogs and worms. Bring sunblock and bug spray for outside. There are beach towels in the laundry room to use. The towels for the bathrooms are so soft and nice. Very clean. Very comfortable. Lots of hot water in the showers. Never ran out. Hot tub was great.Bring condiments. Recommend Vernon's to eat at for dinner. Would love to come back!

The home was for my son and his groomsmen, and they thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Brian was extremely communicative and friendly and easy to work with. I totally recommend this home!

We are 11 active and retired teachers. We loved our stay in this beautiful lakeside house. It was clean, private, and offered many amenities (loved the golf cart). We ate, laughed, stayed up late but most of all caught up on each other’s lives. This was a great place to be. Lord willing we’ll be back next year. Thanks Evan for all your help.

Loved the pool and all the available extras like floats. TV had several options to watch, Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, and Direct TV. Well stocked with amenities. We totally enjoyed our stay and probably book again.

The space is right off the lake. It was exactly how the pics look but even better in person. The air was crisp, the fire pit on the patio was perfect for sitting out under the stars in the evening. We grilled on the gas grill and enjoyed our views. Of ever in the area, would def be back. Everyone was very nice in this small town. I felt very safe.

Great vacation! The pool is much larger than appears in the photos - our family of 4 enjoyed it very much several times. Right on the lake with lots to do - canoes provided. We had a lovely time and will definitely remember this location for future Gun Barrel City vacations. Highly recommended.

This is the second time we rent this house. This is the perfect summer getaway for a weekend with friends and family! We appreciated the numerous amenities, including the large firepit, the ponds and the boats available for use. Thank you to the host for having us.

Ruby is an amazing host and our stay at her property was outstanding. The house was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was great and well stocked. We spent most of our time on the patio. It's so peaceful and relaxing! The hot tub is great and the projector works great. Ruby is very responsive to messages and made sure we were happy with our stay. We'll definitely be back!!!

The house is amazing but the back patio is the real show stopper! We were able to cook all weekend and really appreciated how stocked the kitchen was with utensils and other items to make it easy. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a nice quiet getaway.

We had a fantastic stay at this lovely country Airbnb! The highlight was definitely the stocked pond, where we had a blast fishing. We even caught a fish using a little kid's Barbie fishing pole—such a memorable experience! The accommodations were comfortable, with plenty of rooms for everyone to sleep comfortably. Our host was awesome and very responsive, making sure we had everything we needed. As long as we communicated, everything went smoothly. Highly recommend this place for a fun and relaxing getaway!

We had the most amazing time at this Airbnb for our girls’ trip! The home was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had such a cozy, welcoming vibe—like a boutique retreat. Every room was thoughtfully designed, and we instantly felt relaxed and at home. The host was friendly and communicative, making everything smooth from check-in to check-out. The beds were super comfy, and the space had everything we needed to lounge, cook, and reconnect. A highlight was meeting the neighbor, Bob—so kind and full of great local tips that made our stay even better. The location was peaceful and a true retreat from the chaos of life. We especially loved mornings with coffee overlooking the lake canals and evenings in the hot tub under string lights. It truly felt like our own little slice of paradise. We made incredible memories and can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend this gem for any kind of group getaway!

We had an amazing weekend, the kids loved it and really enjoyed all the amenities. Everything was perfect, the kayaking was great and there is even a boat lift if you decide to bring your own or rent. 10 Stars

Place was amazing for our family getaway! Private lake dock and cozy little channel. Kayaks provided were sturdy and kept me afloat and I am a big guy. Toddler loved all the games, and swimming in the Lake with easy access stairs. Tons of yard games, and the house itself was large and roomy. Definitely recommend this place!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Green House! Amenities were ample and so much fun as we celebrated our teens sons’s birthday on the lake. Three boys were never without something to keep them off screens. College aged girls felt right at home. Plenty of amenities in kitchen and throughout the home to help out as needed. Only negatives were the neighborhood coming in at night was a little run down/potholes. But she fairly described this. The Green House is also an older home, that could use a few updates, but very charming and the spot on the lake was Amazing with great neighbors! We felt very comfortable and right at home! I enjoyed my coffee in the yard with the view of the lake each morning, and watched the sunset with a cool breeze in the evening, and it’s June in Texas!!!

We had a wonderful girl's weekend at Tomas and Jenni's home. We appreciated all the little comforts, a well stocked kitchen, clean linens and towels and a well thought out relaxing space. The patio was perfect for an afternoon glass of your choice and the 2 different evening fire options was perfect. We loved exploring the surrounding areas and will definitely be back.

We stayed at this Airbnb for our son's high school state fishing championship tournament for a week. Everything was great! The place was clean and had everything we needed. It's on the water and having the boat dock to keep our boat was perfect. It's so peaceful and beautiful. The hosts were amazing and always communicated with us of we needed anything. They also recommended restaurants and things to do. Susan also worked with us to have a late check out, which was really nice! We definitely recommend staying here!

She had a great home, clean, easy to use large kitchen with large cooking dishes, great bathrooms, lots of things for the kids to play with!! Great fishing!
