Our family LOVED staying here! Amazingly well equipped kitchen. Our kids (and us) adored Clarita’s beautiful lush garden, so spacious and private! A traditional house that felt like home. So lovely, and just 30mins from the Panama border for an easy crossing 😉

The house is amazing, with nature all around. You can shower outdoors while listening to the creek or have a bathtub and relax to the sound of the rain in the forest.  The kitchen had all the utensils we needed to cook delicious meals.  I loved the layout, so everybody can hang out while you’re cooking. The beds were comfortable and the AC great. The host was very responsive to any questions we had.

This was an extraordinary experience; one of our favorite spaces and trips that we have ever had. The nature is unbeatable. Monkeys and macaws are your close neighbors. The jungle is home, and the energy it provides is nurturing and deeply spiritual. The layout of the house is spacious and open. The beach is private and a beautiful 5 minute walk. Amazing peaceful house surrounded by nature right in front of matapalo surf point. Very peaceful, lots of animals during the day and during the night. The beds are very comfortable and the kitchen and bathroom are very nice.

A++++++ Location and BEAUTIFUL house with pool just steps away from the world class surf break at Pavones!! We absolutely LOVED this spot! What is not to love?!? Impossible to get a better location or a more beautiful home in Pavones. A+++++++ on all levels!! Thankk you!! We will be back again soon!!

We had a great time in Pavones. Karla's place was perfect, clean, organized, and just the most beautiful outside space full of nature. Karla and Meridith were the most kind, and their communication was quick and super helpful. they gave us great directions to get there and awesome recommendations about what to do and where to eat in the area. The house is very safe and the neighbors were super nice. It's also at a great location, near the point but also immersed into the jungle. we saw a lot of beautiful butterflies, the backyard sloth and a lot of pretty birds, just from their deck outback. We only have great things to say about them and their home. Highly recommended, and we can't wait to go back!! Pura Vida! 💚

It is a location surround by nature! I saw monkeys and toucans during my stay. The location is very solid for the price. The home itself is very nice with all you need. The only thing is you will have to deal with bugs, like most of Costa Rica, but especially at night if lights are on because of the area.

This place is AMAZING !!! me and my five friends just stayed there and we had the most fun !! Aside from the cuties puppies that live there and the 30 second walk to the beach , the host+family, Collin is so friendly and gave us great advice on food and fun while in pavones. We will definitely be coming back and making our trip longer to really relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Very very sad we had to leave this place !

Absolutely amazing this home is! For a surfer it’s heaven. Located near the point at Pavones it’s a short walk to an easy paddle out at the point and let the current take you the length of the wave. Also centrally located where you either walk across the river or bridge to the local town center or market and few restaurants that are in town. Loved the random dog showing up to say hi too! The property is like a jungle setting. Gorgeous! The home was big enough for my teenagers and young adult kids to roam around and feel at home. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean as well! The kitchen was perfect using gas rather than electric portable stoves too. There also was an outdoor bbq which we used almost everyday. When in the jungle surfing all day it was an absolute joy to cool off in the pool! Overall an amazing stay at this paradise of a home!!! If it’s available this sanctuary will be top of my list of places to stay in Pavones!!! Paraiso Pura vida!!!!!!!!!

We found a Gem in the Famous Surf Town of Pavones :) Villa Cocoon is a delightful place just 7 min walk to the Wave. Beautiful Interior design with everything you need to spend the weekend or longer stays. We have been waiting for a place like this in Pavones for a long time 🙌🏻

A great place to stay surrounded by so much nature, the cabin is lovely and the swimming pool especially was a wonderful addition. Great communication from Ashley, very considerate and always responsive, I really appreciate all your help in making Julianna’s stay so memorable! Highly recommend.

We absolutely loved our stay here. It was the perfect place to unwind and truly be together as a family. The animal life was incredible. We woke up to monkeys in the morning and playing throughout the day just outside the house. Both john and Oscar were super helpful and friendly. And if you have a chance to have Jackson’s cook- she was incredible. If you’re in for a rustic, full of nature, full family time then this is your place! Also don’t miss out on scheduling a horseback ride with Carlos at finca tropical! It surpassed our expectations and my husband used to guide horseback rides in Colorado. Enjoy the time together and this charming place in Cabo matopalo!

Peter’s cabin is off grid, surrounded by nature and a two minute walk to the ocean. The location is remote (40 mins from Puerto Jimenez, 4x4 bumpy the last 10 mins) and encourages a pace of life slow down! Everyday we loved it more and more! The surrounding area and Peter’s property is truly spectacular and magical. The cabin is very simple, probably best described as rustic. It has wood louvres and screens on all the windows, ants as friends if you leave any morsel of food out. You can hear every piece of nature coming in, the first night we didn’t sleep, but once you adjust to the sounds of howler monkeys and cicadas, it’s so amazing! There is no AC, but he has fans that help circulate air. The front porch was our favourite spot. We ate every meal out at the table and could see birds and monkeys right from the chairs. We enjoyed beautiful sunrises at the ocean. Peter is a wealth of information. He’s super helpful and can do kayak, hiking and surfing tours. This is a special place.

CasaZenn is a gem! We were very glad to be up at CasaZenn rather than right on the beach in Zancudo. It was so peaceful to retreat to the beautiful gardens, pool, and view of the ocean after playing at the beach or exploring the area. Tom and Hollie were super responsive and helpful! We had a few hiccups during our stay, (like an unusually long power outage) and they did everything they could do make sure we had what we needed. They also connected us with horseback riding and snorkeling tours within hours of asking. Both of which were wonderful! We saw dolphins in the bay and rode horses through the forest, hilltops, and beach. The highlight of CasaZenn is the attraction of surrounding nature. The mornings are incredible. Birdsong, howler monkeys, capuchins, and BUTTERFLIES! I have never seen so many butterflies, it feels like you are in a sanctuary. We also saw toucans, green parrots, macaws, and a sloth. The poolside is lovely morning, afternoons, or under the stars. 🦋

This casita was the perfect spot to relax and unwind! The pool was awesome, gorgeous views and incredible star gazing (and thunderstorms!). Great recommendations by Rolando for the nearby beach 🏖️ that was splendid and with parrots 🦜 and scarlet macaws. A great spot, highly recommend.

The location is great, few doors down to a supermarket and few restaurants. The property is beachfront and private. It’s more worth than what I paid for. Ana is a really nice person and eager to help. I’ll be back!

Paz is a special place and Roberto is a wonderful host. The floor to ceiling screens in the living room/dining room situate you right in the secondary forest. Heaven for nature loving bird nerds. If you’ve spent time on the Osa before, you know Howler monkeys wake you at 4:30am. We watched howler, spider, and squirrel monkeys from bed. The beach is a minute walk. A covered porch with hammocks and chairs to enjoy the beautiful Gulfo Dulce. And a small pool to cool off in (key) and watch Macaws, capuchin monkeys, hermit crabs & the waves. We bought groceries in Puerto Jimenez and cooked most of meals for the week. Kitchen has big fridge, sharp knives, and worked well for us. Marluna Lodge (5 min drive) for Taco Tuesday. Visited local surf breaks and surfed the right point break out front of Paz. Tide dependent. Roberto can help you figure it out. Roberto was very attentive, warm, and helpful. He’s created a beautiful space in a beautiful part of the world.

We really enjoyed the days at Keyla's. The place is absolutely perfect for a stay in Puerto Jiménez. Slightly secluded on the main road and walking distance to all the important places and restaurants. The washing machine on the property is a blessing, especially after a trip to Corcovado NP. This was our family’s 5th trip to Pavones . We like to try different places and locations . Giselle’s home was beautiful , spacious and very comfortable. We had a smaller group and it didn’t feel overwhelming as it’s a big place . Outdoor spaces were amazing , and a quick walk to essentially a private beach . (Only saw 1 person over 8 days ) a short walk to La Pina restaurant for a pizza or dinner and only 3-5 minutes from various spots near Pavones point. I will say this was perhaps the most well equipped kitchen and linens we have experienced yet . Oliver the caretaker was quite helpful and his English is fair . Overall a very positive experience. This is an amazing Air BnB. Luxurious and extremely spacious accommodation set in a veritable Garden of Eden. This is a very private location with spectacular views. Both the wildlife and bird life are spectacular. Access to the property is quite demanding. You definitely need a 4x4 and you definitely want to make use of the in-house catering. Ivan is a very good and a very flexible chef. Most of our party are vegetarian and teetotal. Ivan, supported by Marjorie, provided an excellent range of meals throughout the week and an inventive selection of fruit juices to drink.

Thank you so much Amelie for your generous hospitality at Cabinas Au Coeur Du Soleil. The Cabina we rented had everthing we needed for our stay, and the sunset on the beautiful sandy beach was amazing!!! We would love to return to this small slice of Paradise. We would highly recommend.

Beautiful beach home. A place to unplug, relax and connect with the family! Was lucky enough to try the some food from Olas Braves Baked Goods! Jacqueline was very responsive and helpful when needed! Overall, great experience, would stay here if in the area again!
