House holiday rentals in Pavones

If you’re looking for a 5 star resort it’s not for you It’s more like camping in a beautiful house surrounded by wildlife and basically a private beach Staff was wonderful Chon the chef was amazing. A must !! Think we ate every meal there The road in is long and bad A good 20 minutes one way so plan your trips into town accordingly

La Veranda is a gem. Beautifully designed and furnished. One of the best places we’ve stayed anywhere. It puts the pura in pura vida.

Our stay at Rey and Stephanie’s (hosted by Naomi) was fantastic. We so enjoyed all the incredible wildlife visiting the property each morning- Iguanas, Tucans, squirrel monkeys etc. The house is very comfortable for a group of 6 with all the amenities in the kitchen and house that you could need. The pool is perfect and the outdoor shower is a beautiful touch. Naomi took us on an awesome tubing tour down rio claro and also provides many options for activities in Pavones, which is handy. Rey was an incredibly helpful host and really took care of us and made us feel at home on his property. Thanks for everything and we hope to be back soon!

This casita was the perfect spot to relax and unwind! The pool was awesome, gorgeous views and incredible star gazing (and thunderstorms!). Great recommendations by Rolando for the nearby beach 🏖️ that was splendid and with parrots 🦜 and scarlet macaws. A great spot, highly recommend.

Perfect place right on Backwash bay. Great place to be for surfing and exploring. Kitchen had all the necessities to cook anything you wanted to. Downstairs shower was bright, open and felt just like showering in the jungle. Nice hot water on the lower level as well. Property was very clean and maintained which is important while staying in the jungle. Thanks Sandy!

By far one of my favorite stays in Costa Rica! The house is great, exactly as seen in the photos. The house’s open air concept, proximity to the beach with its ocean breezes, and the 2 ceiling fans in the common spaces, kept the house very cool and comfortable. Also the fact that each bed had a private fan made the nights very comfortable as well. The kitchen is well stocked and easy to cook in (we cooked almost all our meals at the house). Although there are a couple good restaurant options nearby as well, which is a bonus. The host and property manager (Patricia and Anthony) were very responsive and helpful. We will definitely be back as soon as we can!!

Rick is a fantastic host; he responds immediately if something doesn't meet your expectations. The location of Casa Dulce is simply incredible and will make any surfer's heart beat faster. The only thing that wasn't quite ideal for me was the small bed, which is a bit too small for someone my height (1.92m). Nevertheless, I would book the accommodation again in a heartbeat. Thank you, Rick, for the wonderful time at your place.

We had a perfect time at this luxe house in the jungle! I can't say enough good things about this house. It took me a while to make it out to Matapalo because nothing has AC, but the house always had a breeze through it and fans in the bedrooms made it easy to sleep at night. I was never too hot - Beautiful home with high end finishes, super clean, the photos don't do it justice - Well stocked kitchen, SHARP knives. Large and easy to cook in with 4 people - Tons wildlife outside, not a ton of wildlife inside which was nice. Very well screened to keep out critters - Beautiful balcony to hang out on and watch the wildlife - House felt really private

The house is very good, comfortable beds, good air conditioning, exactly as in description and photos. Street quiet, easy to locate, near the peak of Pavones. Meredith lives next door and was extremely attentive and cordial. I recommend and hope to come back more often!

We had a great time in Pavones. Karla's place was perfect, clean, organized, and just the most beautiful outside space full of nature. Karla and Meridith were the most kind, and their communication was quick and super helpful. they gave us great directions to get there and awesome recommendations about what to do and where to eat in the area. The house is very safe and the neighbors were super nice. It's also at a great location, near the point but also immersed into the jungle. we saw a lot of beautiful butterflies, the backyard sloth and a lot of pretty birds, just from their deck outback. We only have great things to say about them and their home. Highly recommended, and we can't wait to go back!! Pura Vida! 💚

This is a great place for a surf trip. The location is very quiet and peaceful. We had monkeys and toucans visit the first morning. It’s about 5 minutes drive to pavones wave and 5 or less to surf punta banco. We were there in April, hottest time of the year without AC and it was cool inside! The fans are amazing, super powerful and the trees around the property keep the house cool and fresh. Also, we were pleasantly surprised to have hot water for showers and to wash dishes. The beds are super comfortable and made up very nicely. 🙏❤️

The perfect spot for a comfortable surf trip. The kitchen was well equipped and the views beautiful. Leslie was super helpful showing us how everything worked and responding if we needed anything! Such a luxery to have AC and a washer/dryer.

It is a location surround by nature! I saw monkeys and toucans during my stay. The location is very solid for the price. The home itself is very nice with all you need. The only thing is you will have to deal with bugs, like most of Costa Rica, but especially at night if lights are on because of the area.

Axels place is magical! We spend more than two weeks there with our kids and had a fantastic time. The nature around the house is amazing, we saw all the animals we had on our bucket list right from the patio (except for a sloth - we saw that 10 minutes walk away). Great surfing, hiking, horse riding, fishing etc close by. The house has everything that you will need for a relaxed time between beach and jungle in CR.

This place was so epic. Loved the vibe in the jungle surrounded by trees. The outdoor bathroom and tub was the best part. Felt like a really comfy spot for me to unwind and was very nourishing. Check it out for yourself!

We absolutely LOVED Casa Ola! It's an incredibly comfortable and very well designed home. One of our favorites we've ever stayed in. One of the reasons we chose Casa Ola was for the kitchen and it was great! It is spacious and well-appointed with everything you need to cook for yourself or a group. If you're cooking, make sure to take advantage of Emilio with his fruit and veg truck--excellent produce at reasonable prices! As mentioned in other reviews, the water is slightly rougher than up the playa toward the village but we had no issue swimming, boogie boarding and light surfing right outside the house. We did it several times a day, every day! We will definitely be back to Zancudo and 100% will stay at Casa Ola every time. Every space--from the outdoor patio to the upstairs sitting area to the screened in hammock area and the lovely covered gazebo to watch the sunsets--is magical. Susan was a perfect host, very responsive, accommodating and kind with a wealth of knowledge.

This place is AMAZING !!! me and my five friends just stayed there and we had the most fun !! Aside from the cuties puppies that live there and the 30 second walk to the beach , the host+family, Collin is so friendly and gave us great advice on food and fun while in pavones. We will definitely be coming back and making our trip longer to really relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Very very sad we had to leave this place !

James House was perfect for our 10 days surf trip, its very close to the point only 5 min drive. House is well equipped, Good AC on each room, instructions for checkin were very easy. Overall a great place to stay.

Walker was extremely helpful and very responsive both before our trip and during our stay. I had my parents with me who are a bit older and they felt very comfortable and safe at the house! Couldn’t recommend enough, we will be back!!

Rosser's place is magical. We loved every minute of it and cannot recommend it enough. She and her family live next door and are generous with their time and knowledge. Our kids hung out and loved each other but we also had enough space for when we needed to do our stuff. They are really amazing kids. We felt like we were leaving friends! The property itself is stunning. We saw Spider monkeys, macaws and even a sloth coming down a tree to do his weekly business. The ocean view is special but the forest view is spectacular!!! we really loved this trip and would recommend it to everyone with a 4x4

A++++++ Location and BEAUTIFUL house with pool just steps away from the world class surf break at Pavones!! We absolutely LOVED this spot! What is not to love?!?
