Overall great stay and comfortable for our group. However some cautionary items to be aware of. The driveway to reach to the top of the property is quite steep, and in the rain the car skidded and wouldn’t get to the top of the hill. Need to have a vehicle if you’re going in and out with luggage. Good bit of wildlife you will encounter in the rooms and bathroom. There is only a hot water heater in the main bathroom.

Amazing place!

This was the absolute perfect home base to explore this part of Costa Rica. The house was stunning, exactly like photos and descriptions. Pool area was an unbeatable oasis and we did get lots of monkey visits! Comfortable beds, amazing bathrooms with great water temp and pressure, stocked kitchen and awesome patio space for meals and hangouts. Corner store literally at the end of our driveway was so convenient. Laura the concierge was amazing, so responsive, helpful friendly! I couldn’t be happier with the experience and will be recommending Matthew’s place to anyone I know visiting the area. I would absolutely stay here again and hope I’m able to return soon!

Our stay in Costa Rica was absolutely wonderful. The house was beautiful and perfectly located. We loved everything about it! The host was very friendly and accommodating. Waking up to the sound of birds every morning was incredible, and we saw scarlet macaws and iguanas daily. Overall, it was a perfect experience!

The property is very nice, the photos describe it as it is, its condition is impeccable, we had a pretty good time, the pool is great, the beach is very close. Recommendation to visit the house, take repellent, outside of that everything is great, Yesenia is always attentive

Casa Azul was an absolute gem. The villa is beautiful, peaceful, and perfectly positioned with a breathtaking view overlooking the water and scenery. Watching the sunrise and sunset from the property was unforgettable. The home is well-maintained and designed for total relaxation—everything about it felt serene and welcoming. If you’re looking for a scenic, tranquil getaway, Casa Azul is the perfect choice.

This place was awesome! It was in a gated neighborhood and felt private. We loved the layout and the way the kitchen/living room opened up to the outside. The patio was so comfortable from drinking coffee in the morning looking at wildlife to the grill and pool in the afternoon. The A/C in the bedrooms and washer/dryer made our stay comfortable.

For a vacation of a lifetime book this beautiful home - it's OUTSTANDING. The whole experience is 5 star. The home is incredible - the wildlife you see is unbelievable - monkeys Toucans huge butterflies Humming birds the list is endless. Andrea the wonderful housekeeper keeps the house immaculate, the gardener picked us fruit and the maintenance is first class. The BEST concierge we have ever had Susan was like having a PA and made our vacation seamless. Scott was very welcoming (your house is off the chart) and we had everything provided to make this a holiday of a lifetime. If you visit the National Park get a guide - or you will see very little they have telescopes that makes the experience. Chef Renzo and Roberto - Michelin * level. Best meal of our vacation - we could not thank them enough - every dish was melt in your mouth delicious. Any food left in the fridge is donated (this filled my heart) This house captures Costa Rica's Pura Vida 100%. Thank you to the whole team .

Our stay here was amazing! Chris and Hollie were extremely responsive throughout our entire stay and provided great recommendations for local restaurants, activities, etc. We highly recommend a 4x4 if available for the drive and enjoyed the scenic views along the trip up the mountain. The house is perfectly designed with modern features and everything you need to ensure you feel right at home. The back porch was incredible for morning coffee and enjoying the views of the beach and jungle, while listening and seeing the wildlife surrounding us. We were extremely comfortable during our stay and enjoyed opening up the doors at night to let the cool ocean breeze pass through. What makes this place extra special is Chris and Hollie. We enjoyed getting to know more about them, the property, their vision for future projects, and you can see their genuine joy for hosting guests. They were readily available when asking questions and made sure we were comfortable. Thank you for a great trip!

We had a lovely time. Andres was very kind and responsive. We loved the private pool and being right on the beach. We enjoyed the sunsets and the daily visits from the monkeys passing by!

We traveled for work and the beds were very comfortable to sleep in. Everything was very clean. And it's a quiet area

We stayed at Gilberto’s beautiful house for a week, and would absolutely do it again. He was incredibly helpful and responsive to all of our questions, both before booking and while we were at the house. It was quite a stress free experience, he stayed on top of everything for us. The house itself took us by surprise, photos don’t do it justice, seriously. The first time we walked in we just dropped our bags at the door and ran around exploring, it’s probably the most homely Airbnb we’ve ever stayed in. The view is incredible, the pool is super relaxing, the little geckos running around are adorable, and there were always bigger lizards sharing the patio with us. It was easy to find and is close enough to the main road that going out for a treat or to the beach isn’t a big hassle but also far enough away from the hustle and bustle of things to be extremely cozy. We had the honor of meeting Gilberto and his wife and they were absolutely lovely. 10/10 would stay here again

Casa Baru is a beautiful home and a perfect location for accessing the beach and many great restaurants. When we walked in the door my kids said, “This looks like a celebrity’s house!”. The outdoor space is beautiful and serene and indoors is spacious and comfortable. Juan was super responsive to any questions we had and he had great local recommendations for restaurants. I highly recommend this beautiful home and Juan as a host!

The house is wonderful, and the pool is a nice place to cool off during the afternoon. The hosts are very responsive and keep the house in great condition. The town is less touristy but we found it very friendly with great restuarants, beaches, and excellent sufing conditions. Would not hesitate to recommend this place for anyone traveling to Costa Rica.

This is truly an incredible place! Private pool, away from the business but close enough to enjoy epic beaches, restaurants and all the other things you want to do. I highly recommend staying here.

We enjoyed all the facilities that you provided, including that beautiful pool and the various places where we could enjoy meals. The AC units in the bedrooms worked perfectly and very efficiently, which is a real necessity at the beach. We enjoyed the huge top deck and enjoyed the ocean view it provided. The beach was perfect, and it like it was our own private beach. Very private. Stringing hammocks between the palm trees was a real treat for real relaxation with the music of the ocean. The Starlink Wi-Fi was exceptional and never failed and had coverage outside as well. Yeni and Mendoza were such a courteous and a special couple they couldn’t do enough for us. They were there but gave us privacy, yet always willing to help with everything. Mendoza an excellent griller from fish to hamburgers. They were key to us enjoying your beautiful home so much! I mean where do I start… beautiful home I couldn’t pick a better place to spend my birthday if I come back to Costa Rica I will be coming back to this house Lara communicated perfectly and all her recommendations surpassed my expectations

I just want to start off and say that this is the best house that I’ve ever booked a vacation at the people that owned The house are literally amazing and so helpful. The location is so beautiful. Everything is so clean and organized. The air conditioner works amazing Too with the heat they literally booked all of our excursions and picked us up from the house Was always so patient with us and literally made our trip so amazing I will definitely come back worth every penny I had the best birthday ever and the views and the pool was so amazing 100000/10 recommend this house to anyone looking To come to Costa Rica !!!!😍

It is a great place close to all the entertainment in Jaco, yet in a private, secure, and quiet (at night) location! Very clean, cozy, and well-constructed home! The pool was clean, but we didn’t utilize it due to being busy with all the local attractions. I will say that there's some construction going on next door, but it doesn’t start until around 8 AM (I think), so if you are someone who wants/needs to sleep in, you may have issues. For us early risers, no problem at all! Great overall stay!
